oda is having a mid-life crisis and he texts you in the middle of the night saying you have to pick a different veggie for carrot to be named after. what do you pick?

so before anybody says "ACKSHEWALLY [blank] IS A FRUIT NOT A VEGETABLE" vegetable is a culinary category, so dont talk to me. with that out of the way, we have a few different options here. off the top of my head:

potato

pros: would be funny. "potato" is just a very good word in general. cons: kind of gives lolz xD 2013 energy, but also i feel like this ends up wrapping back around to pros because that is also kind of carrot's energy in the first place

pumpkin

pros: my first cat was named pumpkin so im already attached to the name in the first place, it would be a really cute name, matches the hair color a bit cons: not as snappy as "carrot" but also since im so used to saying pumpkin (see: cat name), its already basically "punkin" in my head so this does not apply to me personally

asparagus

pros: funny because its entirely irrelevant and a bit of a mouthful. also if you wanted to you could just shorten it a la cats the musical cons: a bit of a mouthful and doesnt really vibe a whole lot with the character

lettuce

pros: rabbits actually eat this irl cons: i dont know the vibe just isnt there

cabbage

pros: has the "ca" so it kind of sounds like "carrot", also honestly kind of is a cute name. cabbich. cons: none i can really think of

conclusions:

either pumpkin or cabbage i think. while cabbage is actually a cute name my personal bias wins out and if i can name one of my most favorite one piece characters after my beloved im going to take that.

i know this has probably been talked about to death but why on earth would netflix choose to make, one of THE most cartoony manga into a live action show? i'll gladly eat my hat if I'm wrong but i just DONT see it looking or being good

I haven't read 1060 yet cause I like to read the official english translated chapters but I did see something about Luffy talking about a dream so my OP-obsessed ass had a dream where Luffy was chilling on some giant rock that was shaped like the merry's head, talking to Kizaru about his dream and Kizaru was shooting lazers at people in the distance that made them go sparkly-eye'd. They were also talking about how cool lazers are??? Like Luffy was so impressed and apparently they've been friends forever cause they both have monkey motifs or something. Weird dream.
