Vettel back at the wheel He simply loves speed. For 16 years, Sebastian Vettel (36) raced as a Formula 1 driver on the racetracks of thr world, crowning himself world champion four times. Last season, the German ended his career and hung up the steering wheel - until now. But fans dreaming of a comeback of the German from Heppenheim in the top class of motorsport will be disappointed. Vettel won't be getting behind the wheel again, but he will be getting on the sailboat! And with his own team! The ex-Ferrari and Red Bull driver recently invested in the German team "SailGP" and is now a co-owner. With the crew around pilot Erik Heil, he now took to the water in Long Beach near Los Angeles (United States) after completing a one-hour safety briefing. Vettel said after his ride: "It was impressive. Completely different from what I expected. I am very impressed by the G-forces that acted on me while driving. I didn't expect it to be so strong. When I was turning the boat, I sometimes wished I had my seatbelt." The speeds were considerably lower than what Vettel is used to from Formula 1. The F50 catamaran reached a maximum of 64 km/h with the celebrity guest on board. Vettel himself also took the wheel at one point. "It feels much faster on the water than on land. And when the catamaran starts to foil, it suddenly becomes very quiet and only the sound of the wind gets louder and louder," explains Vettel. However, his team is not yet quite as successful as Vettel was in Formula 1. Even though they have not finished last in any of the races so far, the sailing crew came tenth out of ten in the overall standings. Perhaps co-owner Vettel can give a few tips so that his team will soon be as successful as he was on the race track! translation by @.danke_seb on twitter!

Ferrari F50
Ferrari F50, their top dog for a while in the 90's. As Ferrari halo cars go, this one tends to be a bit overshadowed and overlooked.

The Lost Boys
Sexuality HC
These are my personal opinions, we’re probably not going to agree on everything and that’s ok! You can comment your opinions below as long as you’re not a dick about it :]
NOTE: I think after turning most vampires don’t gaf about gender and that will play into my hc
NOTE 2: the F_/M_ is for how you present. If you’re a guy who dresses feminine you fall into F, same for masculine girls. I did this bc I wanted to include Non binary ppl but it felt weird adding a 3rd gender percentage bc enby ppl don’t have a gender . So to clarify: the percentage is not gender, it is clothing preference
NOTE 3: yes I know it was the 80s. I. Don’t. Care. Gay ppl existed in the 80s and the whole movie has gay undertones so sush.
David
I originally said he was bi in this post bc I didn’t want ppl mad at me but imma be brave now
Gay asf
Likes seeing S/O in feminine clothes though
I know I said vamps don’t care after turning but every rule has an exception
F65/M35
Dwayne
Bi
F70/M30
Paul
Pan
No preference here, gender or clothing, just personality
He does like matching with his S/O so get him something in the same color or pattern
Marko
Bi
Does have a male preference though
Him and Paul definitely fuck
F25/M75
Star
Straight
Has experimented and decided it’s not her thing
Very supportive
F50/M50
Her boyfriend wants to wear a skirt? She’ll buy matching ones!
He wants makeup? Let her teach him!
Earrings? We saw in the movie she wants to do it!
Probably pierced all the boys ears
She doesn’t care how he dresses, as long as he doesn’t tell her how to dress either
Michael
He’s unsure but when asked will say bi
He’s still trying to come to terms with not being straight so he prefers S/O wearing more feminine things
(David rn: 💃🏼💃🏼💃🏼)
F82/M18
Lucy
Straight
Supports everyone
Doesn’t understand why people care about who others date
F6/M94
Loves a man in a nice suit
Still nice if he wants to try typically feminine things
Just doesn’t seek out more feminine men
Max
Straight
One of the vampires who DO care
Like too much caring
Weirdly insecure and kills men who hit on him:[
Eats primarily female victims
Only supports if it’s one of his pack
More supportive of the boys straight interest though
The boys don’t give a fuck though and if they are dating a guy will purposely show more affection in front of him
F100/M0 (he definitely still thinks women shouldn’t wear pants I’m sorry but he’s old af)
Grandpa Emerson
Straight
He used to be a homophobe (he was raised in a very homophobic time)
Lucy has talked to him about being supportive since she was a teen
Finally gets that it doesn’t affect him and supports
F50/M50
She can wear whatever she wants as long as she’s happy
Sam
I can’t decide if he’s aroace or not bc he’s still early teen years, and he was more focused on stopping his brother from becoming a vampire then finding a date
If he is interested in anyone, it’s dudes
He had that poster in his room, and was making fun of Michael for chasing a girl
He also has more of a fashion sense then most men of the 80s (I’m not saying having a fashion sense makes you gay, I’m saying if writers in the 80s wanted to have a gay character w/o saying he’s gay, this is probably a trait they’d give him)
F20/M80
He feels like feminine clothing would “draw too much attention”
Like the mf doesn’t wear the most attention seeking clothing in Santa Carla
Alan
Bi? at most
Huge fem preference
F70/M30
I don’t think he’d like completely girly girls
But still wants a partner how dresses nice
He thinks everyone looks good in long, loose skirts and crop tops regardless of gender
Edgar
Straight as a ruler
Supports, but doesn’t really get it
If Sam came out to him he would probably ask if Sam was into him, but genuinely didn’t mean to be offensive
He just doesn’t know why he needs to know
F40/M60
He’s ok w/ a girl who dresses up sometimes, but if you’re vampire hunting with him you need to be able to move fast, maybe leave the dress or skirt for another time
Yes I put the younger 3 teens here. I’m only doing the bc I think at 14 you are aware of your preference, I know I was many ppl I know were

Ferrari Enzo
From the early days campaigning Alfa Romeo’s Grand Prix titans to the final game-changing supercar launched shortly before his death, Enzo Ferrari was committed throughout his life to creating world-beating machines. Whether sitting at the pinnacle of motorsport or within the pages of magazine centrefolds, cars that wore the Prancing Horse badge represented the very cutting edge of technology, style, and performance. Fitting, then, that the car built in his honour—the Ferrari Enzo—would exemplify everything that had seen the Maranello marque grow from a boutique producer of sports racers to one of the most coveted and desirable badges in automotive history.Like the great halo models that came before, the Enzo was created to push the boundaries of road car performance, utilising technology derived from the top-tier of motorsport and otherworldly styling from long-term design partner Pininfarina. Constructed from lightweight carbon fibre and aluminium, the Enzo’s sophisticated chassis was clothed in composite bodywork styled by the carrozzeria’s Ken Okuyama and shaped by wind-tunnel testing. Influenced by Ferrari’s leading grand prix cars, the rakish nose struck a tone carried over to the rest of the coachwork, with subtle ground-effect aerodynamics and a small active spoiler in place of the F50’s outrageous rear wing.At the Enzo’s heart lay an all-new, mid-mounted, 6.0-litre V-12 engine that produced a staggering 651 horsepower— greater than the output of any of its rivals. But it wasn’t just the headline power figure that impressed, but how it was delivered, with a perfect combination of low-end torque; fierce acceleration with each shift of the paddles; and an addictive howl as the needle approached the 8,200 rpm redline. Like its top-of-the-range predecessors, the Enzo set a new benchmark for performance and design, and due to a production run that numbered just 399 examples, has since become one of the most significant collector cars of the early 21st Century.

Ben Ainslie’s Great Britain SailGP Team overcame an event of two halves by winning the Italy Sail Grand Prix on September 23-24 in Taranto, Italy. This is the team’s second consecutive win as the Brits topped Tom Slingsby’s Australia and Jimmy Spithill’s USA in the finals.
The racing in Taranto began in windy and wild conditions but the second day was marred by light winds that eventually would disappear and cause the final podium race to be terminated.
The race for the final was hotly contested, and while Great Britain and Australia had their ticket stamped, the United States needed – and got – a collapse by the French on the final downwind let to gain entry.
It was a comeback for Spithill whose team saw teammate Hans Henken injured the day before when their F50 catamaran crashed off the foils and submerged the leeward hull where Henken was positioned, knocking him unconscious for a short time. Henken went to the hospital for observation but was in good spirits.
Taylor Canfield was ready to replace Henken, but with the light winds, the league called for teams to reduce from five to four crew, leaving Canfield on the sidelines.
As the final three-boat podium race took place, the wind started to shut off and despite the race management’s best endeavors and trying to shorten the course, the 16 minute time limit came and went. With the termination of the final, scoring returns to the qualifying fleet races in which Great Britain topped the leaderboard.
USA had led the final to the leeward mark, but Australia got leverage and a puff to jump ahead. The Brits trailed both, but at the time of termination, they were set to claim the lead. “It was a roller coaster ride but I’m just delighted for the team after a really solid performance over the five races this weekend,” said Ainslie. “It was a good win.”
At the prize winning ceremony, Ainslie gave Team GBR’s strategist Hannah Mills credit for the team’s win – due to her excellent ability to spot the best conditions to get the boat to the front of the fleet – and it was Mills that proudly lifted the winners trophy aloft.
“Considering how challenging it was I think we were literally at zero knots for quite a lot of the race and it was so intense,” said Mills. “We just kept calm and always felt like there was going to be an opportunity to get back into the race – and there was. But we ran out of time, so it was a tough race.”

still writing draft 3 ever so slowly
Exhaustion and caffeine war against each other, jittery hands that tap tap tap against the plastic rim of your coffee cup. You swing your legs into the abyss, the heels of your feet kicking back against the concrete. The open space of the F50 mall drops below you. Nearly nine stories of tiered back balconies lined with stores and services all overlooking the park on the base level. A small copse of trees that reach back up through the open space, circled by running water. Metal wires across the atrium anchor into the tree trunks, holding them upright while doubling as additional space to hang adverts. Warm sunlamps hang from the ceiling, so close here at the top. It’s loud. All the sounds echoing upward. People talking, humming wires, buzz of lights, the distant echo of the running water, thrum of footsteps, the press of static. It’ll be a headache by the end of the day for sure. A point of pride. How long ago was it that just being out here would have sent you into a fit? Riley sits next to you, hunched over her phone, her own coffee in hand. Watching the video, earbuds in. Try as you can to avoid skimming into her thoughts. She hasn’t said anything about the other day. Scared to know.

Ferrari LaFerrari 'Signal Green' (for six years it was owned by Jay Kay.  For sale in 2019).
Unveiled at the 2013 Geneva International Motor Show as a replacement for the Enzo, the Ferrari LaFerrari was a technological tour de force that took the world by storm. Maranello's first production model to be equipped with a hybrid power unit, the sixth-generation hypercar was the fastest and most powerful road-going Ferrari ever. It was, and remains, one of the greatest achievements in the marque's 75-year history.
Compared to contemporaries such as the Porsche 959 and Bugatti EB110, the first Ferrari hypercars had been conservative designs. For all their astonishing pace, the 288 GTO and F40 had lacked headline innovation, focusing instead on a back-to-basics ethos of minimal weight and colossal power. With the subsequent F50, the Prancing Horse had abandoned the traditional spaceframe in favor of a more futuristic carbon fiber tub, but there was little else to whet the appetite of techno freaks. Its successor, the Enzo, upped the technological ante. The first Ferrari hypercar to feature an automated paddle-change transmission and active aerodynamics, it represented a radical leap compared to the outgoing F50. The Enzo was an up-to-the-minute interpretation of what a flagship sports car should be all about. And then along came the game changer.
Based around a carbon fiber monocoque designed by F1 technical director Rory Byrne, the Type F150 LaFerrari adopted an enhanced version of KERS (Kinetic Energy Recovery System), which had been used in Grands Prix since 2009. Like any other hybrid set-up, KERS employed electric motors in addition to a traditional petrol engine. With an electric motor delivering maximum torque from zero rpm, the benefits included noticeably stronger acceleration. Kimi Räikkönen had emphatically proven this in Formula 1 when his KERS-equipped Ferrari stormed past Giancarlo Fisichella to win the 2009 Belgian Grand Prix—Fisichella attributing Räikkönen's win to the hybrid system.
Dubbed HY-KERS, the production version in the LaFerrari mated a 120-kilowatt motor to a 6,262 cc 65-degree V-12 to deliver quite extraordinary results. Delivering a combined 950 horsepower and 715 lb ft of torque through a seven-speed dual-clutch Getrag transmission, the car could accelerate from 0-100 km/h in a mere 2.9 seconds. The manufacturer claimed that 0-300 km/h could be dispatched in 15 seconds, while top speed was an astonishing 350 km/h. Even more startling, however, was the car’s pace around the Fiorano test track, where it was said to lap more than five seconds quicker than the Enzo. Such pace was in no small part down to the brilliance of the hybrid set-up. With HY-KERS taking care of low-down torque, the engine could be tuned for maximum power at high revs without the car becoming a temperamental prima donna. As a result, Ferrari engineers were able to produce an engine that was more potent than the Scuderia’s last V-12 single-seater, in a car able to cope with city traffic.
To ensure the thundering performance was accessible, electronic traction control was integrated with the hybrid system, and there was a third-generation electronic differential. The double-wishbone front- and multilink rear suspension was equipped with active damping, while the Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes measured a huge 398 mm at the front and 380 mm at the rear. The Pirelli P-Zero front tyres were an equally vast 265/30 R19, but were nonetheless dwarfed by the 345/30 R20 rears.
Drawing from the Grand Prix team’s expertise in computational fluid dynamics, the composite body continued the high-tech theme. Produced in-house alongside the Scuderia’s F1 racers, it was as aerodynamically efficient as it was beautiful. The vast scallops on each flank served to extract air from around the front wheels, increasing the downforce created by the active front diffuser, as well as channelling air to the rear-mounted radiators. A guide vane in the underbody automatically reduced flow to the front radiator to reduce drag, while dynamic air intakes on the haunches boosted ram effect for an additional 5 horsepower at speed. At the rear, a computer-controlled spoiler optimised drag and downforce, while dynamic diffuser flaps helped “suck” the car onto the road. This electronic gadgetry added up to 360 kilograms of downforce when cornering at 200 km/h, reducing it to 90 kilograms in a straight line at the same speed.
Remarkably, the carbon fibre monocoque boasted a 27 per cent improvement in torsional stiffness compared to the Enzo, yet was some 20 per cent lighter. In spite of the HY-KERS with its eight 15-cell battery modules, the LaFerrari was no larger than its predecessor, while the centre of gravity was lowered by 35 mm—providing further improvements to balance and stability. Visually, the whole was tied together into a tautly styled berlinetta that combined hints of classic racing icons such as the 330 P4 and 312 P with exciting flourishes from the modern Formula 1 era. In creating the LaFerrari body, form very much followed function, yet never has the application of science looked quite so stunning.

The third installment of Season 4 for SailGP brings ten teams to the France Sail Grand Prix taking place in Saint-Tropez on September 9-10.
The F50 fleet will go head to head for five qualifying fleet races with the top three-boat to face off in a winner-takes-all Final for the largest share of the $300,00.00USD event purse.
Light wind conditions are forecast, meaning the F50s are likely to be fitted with the largest 29m wing and light air foils – there’s even a possibility of reduced crews.
All eyes will be on home team France, which has had a slow start to the season and currently sits in 8th on the overall Championship leaderboard. But France will be trailing a new flight controller in Saint-Tropez, as Jason Saunders has transferred from the Swiss team.
Could this mark a turnaround for Quentin Delapierre’s team, or will limited training time with their new crew member prove detrimental to the performance of Les Bleus?
Jimmy Spithill’s United States marked its first and only Season 3 win in Saint-Tropez last season, beating New Zealand and Emirates Great Britain in the Final. But since then, the team’s performance has lagged and the Americans haven’t come close to the podium again. Could Saint-Tropez host the team’s long awaited comeback?
Elsewhere, Spain will be looking to repeat their historic victory in Los Angeles while Australia, at the top of the season leaderboard, will be looking to extend his lead over the wider F50 fleet.
