If the chain ever had a running race it would be so bizarre from a game mechanics perspective. Like—
Wild, Warriors, and Sky: start running normally
Legend and Four: blast ahead in their Pegasus boots
Time, Twilight, and Wind: begin rolling for some reason??
Hyrule: moves at the exact same speed the entire time. Is he even running? nobody knows.

Slow N' Steady wins the Race!

"Slow and Steady Wins the Race" isn't the lesson of The Tortoise and The Hare
In the story of the Tortoise and the Hare, the two have a race. The Hare takes a nap because it is arrogant and believes in its superior speed.
But the Hare is actually faster than the Tortoise. It would have won the race if it wasn't so arrogant.
The moral of the story should have been "Don't underestimate your opponents" instead of "Slow and Steady Wins the Race".
The Hare would have won if it simply kept going. The only reason it lost was because it took a nap.

Ever think how hype it would have been to watch the race between the tortoise and the hare in person?!

nothing is funnier to me than the collective misunderstanding of the tortoise and the hare. "slow and steady wins the race" was NEVER the moral of that story. your stupid kindergarten teacher projected that because she's slow and can't run fast. she's fucking STUPID. "Slow and steady wins the race" okay bitch but what if I'm fast and steady. The point was NEVER that being fucking slow yet consistent was the best way to win a LITERAL TEST OF SPEED.
the moral of the story was always supposed to be that the hare didn't respect its opponents. it took a fuckin' nap, made some food, and wasted a bunch of time flexing and going for style points instead of simply achieving the win condition. the point of the story isn't that the tortoise was always meant to win, it's that if if you're fucking stupid and make bad decisions, even a goddamn tortoise will beat you in a footrace.
don't you understand??? it's just supposed to mean that if you don't respect the competition and play to win, you can/will lose. that has ALWAYS been the point. "Slow and steady" has never won a fucking race. It CANNOT win a race. Moderately-quick and extremely drunk would win a race before slow and steady.
fuck slow and steady
