Okay so first- I LOVE your manhunt gif set it’s so cool! I felt like I was watching some kind of spy movie with the way you broke down everything and the aesthetic!

But the potential 5th hunter part really got me thinking, it’s actually super interesting to me because I think they would all be good choices and bring something unique to the table!

Callahan’s a wild card, the audience has no idea what his playing style is like, plus I think his silence would lead to some great surprise attacks! Punz has the pvp and speedrunning skills, a team up with him and Sapnap could give Dream a real run for his money. Sam would probably play the long game, similar to Antfrost he’d collect materials early on then come in clutch at the end. But he’s also got incredible redstone skills, which could lead to Dream dying to a hunter-set trap, something we’ve not seen before! What Quackity lacks in the pvp department, he would make up for by really elevating the comedy/banter content. Skeppy is another wildcard, I could see him going more down the pvp route, or potentially setting up some game changing traps, he’s got that jack of all trades thing going on! -@trainforanother1000years

yeah i was thinking a lot about the hunters as well!!! i accidentally talked a ton in response to do this so im going to put it under a keep reading LOL

you're totally right about callahan being a wild card. he would def get away with more bc of being silent (bc dream always like. psychoanalyzes the hunters based on what they say, like when he knew george was on one heart because of the way he screamed LOL).

punz is really really good at minecraft and, like you said, he's a Speedrunner. i do think he is more pvp focused which im personally not that into bc i think the coolest parts of manhunts are the banter and the traps ?? i think if punz got added as hunter dream would definitely lose a lot more right off the bat so rip to his wallet LOL .

i think sam 5th hunter would be awesome! i was originally team quackity but everyone's little comments on the survey converted me LOL. yeah the closest thing we have had to "traps" from the hunters is like. the instant damage potion death (let's be real antfrost knew what he was doing luring him into the desert temple). i'd say that traps and baiting dream into doing things are probably the most reliable ways to kill him, so awesamdude making redstone traps would be. pun unintended. awesome!!!!

i really don't think adding someone else who is good at pvp is the best move for 5th hunter partially for the reasons i said earlier in the punz section of this post . i feel like everyone has a kind of role that they fill in the dynamic and we already have the aggressive pvper with sapnap. i think adding someone like quackity at least for a one-off manhunt on the channel would be a good idea bc i feel like manhunts as they are now have strayed really far from what they were at the beginning. like i was originally going to make that a Much bigger project and do all of the manhunts but . i watched the first one and it's barely even a fair comparison. it was a lot more lighthearted despite having its intense moments and seemed more like something done with friends than a Production. that's not to say there's something wrong with a Production of course! i love watching manhunts now, it's just different! and i think adding quackity would bring some of those vibes back for a one-off episode which would be fun :)

i feel like skeppy would provide some mix between what sam and quackity would add! i havent seen a lot of his stuff so i dont know how good he is at pvp? but as long as he's not like . op like sapnap or punz i think he would still be a good addition. i think he would lean in the direction of supplies/support/traps? but i don't know him that well so idk. i think he would be worthwhile to add if only because i think having both him and bad there would be funny :)

oh my god. okay so

etho is a freelance assassin, along with his roommate iskall. sometimes, he feed bdubs advice on cases and stuff, just because he's cute and etho thinks its funny how he thinks he's slick. i will be writing a sequel fic for him after rbw wraps up, so no spoilers ;-)

tango, zedaph and impulse are best friends and roommates. however, none of them realize the other are heroes, meaning that they are all lying through their teeth to try to cover up.

the big eye boys don't use voice changers- they don't have the budget or notoriety to worry about it- but btm does. the voice changers aren't too extreme, not enough that they're obvious, just enough that they're not recognized.

also, zed isn't famous, exactly, so he doesn't use a voice changer. he's just some crazy guy who got lucky ine time and captured one nut job. he wasn't even interviewed in the news because he's so bad at talking that he just wandered in circles the whole time.

so a theory i’ve seen from a lot of ppl on this site is that last night on tommys stream, “ghostbur” was actually alivebur, newly resurrected, and as @trainforanother1000years put it:

but there is one big glaring problem i see with this theory- namely, that ghostbur and alivebur look nothing alike. they have different clothes on, different hair styles (?), and most importantly.

different skin tones.

alivebur’s skin is a dull peach, while ghostbur’s skin is grey. so how did he manage to so drastically change his skin tone to look exactly like ghostbur? i’ll tell you how.

Dream SMP & The Magnus Archives

So I decided to go through this and write down some explanations/updates to my list! Gonna tag @trainforanother1000years @subscribe2technoblade @willowwispflame and @artistic-nightowl because they either commented/reblogged on the last post. Some of these are based off what the character fears and others are if the character was an avatar for a fear so yeah.

Tommy - I thought I could go multiple ways for Tommy’s character. I originally had him with the Desolation, but another entity I was considering got pointed out by Subd and I also think it fits him well which is the Lonely. His time in exile and his reactions getting out of prison has a lot of influence in this.

Tubbo - I had Tubbo with The Hunt, but Subs also mentioned that the Slaughter would fit him better and I think so too. His fear is more driven by the violence he’s had to go through instead of the fear of being hunted.

Ranboo - Ok Ranboo is scared of the unknown. He’s afraid of what happens when he can’t remember what he’s just done. That just screams the Stranger.

Dream - Dream even from the beginning has wanted to keep watch on what is happening in his server. I feel like closer to the beginning he aligned much more with the Eye, but now with his want for power and control he’s leaning a bit towards the Web.

Sapnap - This one I just got because Sapnap is associated with fire, and him burning down the forests with Dream in the L’Manburg war. Also the pet wars can go with this too.

George - I had a hard time thinking of one for George but I’ve settled on the Dark because he’s slept through a bunch of things lol. But seriously, his sleep and not being there sometimes has actually left a great influence on certain events.

Karl - So Karl is losing his memory as he time travels and goes through the in between. He’s afraid of forgetting his friends and losing his mind. I feel like he goes well with the Spiral. (This also coincidentally goes really well with his hoodie/logo)

Quackity - Quackity goes really well with the Hunt. If he’s scared or mad at a person, he goes after them. This is seen with the butcher army with Technoblade, wanting to execute Ranboo, and what he’s doing to Dream in prison.

Foolish - I put Foolish under the Desolation because he’s prone to arson lol. There could be an argument made for the End tho because in the past he’s been seen as a totem of death.

Eret - Eret is afraid of always being seen as the traitor. I’d put Eret with the Lonely. He feels alone, like he has to be the one neutral party. Even tho now he’s moving past these feelings a bit with his partnership with Foolish, the feeling still lingers a bit.

Fundy - I put Fundy with the Vast because I feel like his fear is being seen insignificant. He’s driven to certain sides so he feels like he’s a part of something. He felt left out by Wilbur so he left for Schlatt’s administration. He’s often just trying to find a place where he feels like what he does means something and isn’t for nothing.

Wilbur - Wilbur I feel like is a good representation of the Extinction. He has his Chekhov’s gun, the Tnt under L’Manburg, which constantly works as a reminder that the country could come to a catastrophic end at the press of a button. It’s not quite the End because it’s not the fear of death that surrounds the button, but the fear of things changing in a single extremely damaging event that can’t be taken back. This could also be seen as the Slaughter too.

Bad - I originally had people influenced by the Egg under the Web, but after hearing from other people the Egg fits a bit more with the Corruption. It infects people, spreading across the server and causes infection not just physically, but also in relationships causing them to become unhealthy. I do think Bad has a bit of the Web influence too tho because he is one of the main people going out and trying to convince people to join the Eggpire, which does involve manipulation.

Skeppy - Skeppy is connected to the Corruption. His relationship to Bad and the ensuing conflict from the Egg’s influence causes the situation that leads him to be completely corrupted. This happening is what keeps Bad with the Egg, so that he can still be with Skeppy.

Sam - I feel like Sam fits really well with the Buried because of the nature of the prison. He’s protecting a structure that has inner workings that are very claustrophobic and can cause the prisoner or visitors to feel trapped. The close quarters and the heavy levels of security can make things feel overwhelming.

Ponk - I’m going to say Ponk goes with the Corruption because of his connection to the Egg.

Punz - Originally I was going to say that Punz would just go with the Corruption, but then Train pointed out that with his past mercenary work he would fit really well with the Hunt.

Puffy - Puffy is a hard one, but I think she fits with the Vast, and I love Train’s explanation for it. Puffy has good morals, but she’s scared that everything she’s trying to do will fall short or not actually help people. She doesn’t want her actions to feel like they’ve been for nothing.

Ant - Same with Ponk and Bad, Ant is going to be with the Corruption.

Niki - Niki is with the Desolation because she’s burnt down things multiple times. She burnt down the L’Manburg flag in an act of rebellion and she burnt down the L’Mantree after losing hope in the country she once was fighting for.

Hannah - Hannah is another tricky one, and also one that I really liked Train’s explanation for. Hannah would be connected to the Extinction, but in a kinder way than Wilbur. Because of her connection to nature and plants, she could represent the idea that we’ll all be gone someday and nature will eventually reclaim everything that was lost.

Jack Manifold - I feel like Jack has a connection to the Hunt. He has a target, his main goal right now is to kill Tommy, and that’s clouding his judgement on a lot of other things.

Purpled - Purpled hasn’t been super involved in the lore, but from what I’ve seen of him I feel like he would have a connection to the Web. He likes to make deals and try and get the best thing for him in the end. He was super cocky about working with the Eggpire and thought he could easily outsmart them to get the best outcome for him.

Schlatt - Schlatt has strong connections to the Web. Even tho he’s pretty blunt in conversation, there’s more to his motivations than meets the eye, and also his addictions create a stronger comparison here. There could be an argument made for the Desolation because he destroys a lot of buildings and places while in office, but I feel like he fits more with the Web.

Philza - Philza is often known as the angel of death. I have to draw a connection to the End.

Technoblade - Techno is known for his pvp skills. Also the fact that “Blood for the God” is a catchphrase of his just makes it’s eally easy to make a connection to the Slaughter.

There’s one more that I’m not super sure about because I haven’t watched his stuff that much and it’s Hbomb. Some of these characters I know better than others, so I’d love to hear what you guys think! It’s fun to hear different ideas about stuff! :)
