The dad plays Makruk (Thai Chess). It does not have checkered boards and the pieces have different names.

For instance, the piece the dad moved across the board at the beginning of his conversation with Dan . . .

And when the dad plays it on the hospital floor, he plays it with oranges and water.

Dan and his father talked and played Makruk while sitting in water.

Water is a recurring motif that represents change and serves as a transition between the waking world and the dreaming one or being alive and being dead. Which is probably the reason the mountain people floated the bodies on the river and why the school serves as a hub for activity.

Hamlet deals a lot with the idea of water, sleep, and death. Hamlet believes death is a long sleep, and the famous "To be, or not to be" question is him contemplating suicide. The opening scene of the play actually questions drowning in particular because if the man goes into the water, he has caused his death, but if the water takes him under, he is not at fault (Scene 1, Act 5).

The opening scene is of the gravediggers discussing if Ophelia, Hamlet's love interest will receive a proper Christian burial. Ophelia drowned, and although never explicitly stated within the play, the assumption is it was intentional; therefore, due to Christian doctrine, she committed a sin. This conversation is repeated for Dan's mom.

However, Hamlet's father was murdered by poison, and he haunts Hamlet to avenge his murder. We saw Trin vomiting and holding his heart when running through the woods as well as his head bleeding.

The ghost of Dan's father appears when Dan is acting out the scene in Hamlet where the ghost of his father appears to Hamlet, and the shadow appears on stage when Dan is acting out the scene right before Ophelia drowns. However, in the play, Hamlet is cruel to Ophelia telling her he is not a good man, yet he is honest. In the show, Dan messes up the line and says he is NOT an honest man, which is why the teachers look at each other.

This is the bust of Laocoon in the art class, who was murdered by sea serpents with his two sons for attempting to expose that the Trojan Horse was a ruse. The Greeks gifted a huge wooden horse to the city of Troy, yet Greek soldiers were hiding inside, so once the horse was accepted inside the city walls, the Greeks snuck out of the horse at night, attacked, and won the war. Laocoon was killed for being honest.

Hamlet is usually presented with a skull due to the opening scene depicting Hamlet realizing a skull he finds in the cemetery belonged to a former and favored court jester as he realizes death is unavoidable.

And the drawings in the art class show a skull in water and someone with orange hair drowning (which orange seems to represents rebellion).

Yet when Dan slips into the dream world, everything else is crossed out or scribbled on except for those two drawings and now the skull sits in a pool of blood and the person in the water is no longer drowning but bleeding in the water.

The show seems to be combating the idea that Trin simply drowned intentionally or even unintentionally. The shows seems to be stating that he was murdered. Probably poisoned.

But it'd be odd if Brother Anurak did it, mostly since his name means "angel of protection."

Perhaps it has something to do with all those students lying on the ground appearing to be girls, and where the blood is coming from.

Maybe Trin found out what happened to the nurse's daughter? And maybe it has to do with that book near the dad, Protect and Defend, which is about an abortion case.

But it's all just background noise . . .

Hi! I hope you don't mind that I'm playing catch up. It looks like your blog theme changed, so I went to your main blog to catch up, so I don't what was going on in the comments, so please excuse me if I echo anyone else's thoughts. Even though my brain wouldn't let me fully engage, I kept reading until I couldn't. I paused keeping up at Rose Ceremony Part 2 S15.Ep:58-BMB34, but the last time I really checked in, was Giddy up and Footloose, so that's where I went back to. I'm just commenting on each episode as I go along again because I don't fell like I really read them, so there's a significant chance that my observations may shift as I progress. That said!

Giddy Up and Footloose S15.Ep:47-BMB25 - Wow! I mentioned before that it was a fun episode, but having seen all the dates now, this is by far my favorite. It put Chanel in the like column with Lucy, personality-wise. Romance-wise I was undecided because I still wasn't rooting for anyone yet. I also said before that Chanel is a sore loser who hides their shortcomings with arrogance, and while I still think that, I also think that arrogance is a natural state for her and that rather than hiding her short comings with arrogance, it's more like, she does not like to fail (who does?) but she doesn't have time to dwell on it, so she just throws on an extra layer of confidence that she has in reserve and moves right on. Her ego has been well-nurtured and even though he's not egotistical, Chanel would be the first (other than Trin) to put Quinton in check if his ego ever decides to out-pace him. I think I also said somewhere else that Chanel's confidence is (likely) deserved, but now I'm removing "(likely)" and giving her her due. She is all that, but is she marriage material for Quinton? I'm not entirely sure. Friends, though? Definitely. As long as the future Mrs. remains confident in the fact that she was chosen, I think they could be real friends post-show. Also, the 3-way convo with Draya, Yasmine, and Noemy once again had me in stitches!

Inner Child S15.Ep:48-BMB26 + Do You Still Believe? S15.Ep:49-BMB27 - It was never articulated, but I feel like Lucy's tears were from both relief and sorrow. Relief that someone actually got her to an extent, saw something of her and made an attempt to feed it. And sorrow because she had dismissed the first effort that person made, an effort that she's now realizing was an earnest one. Sorrow because she's so used to being disappointed in that respect that, even in the face of promise, she couldn't or wouldn't let her guard down. She probably thought the show would be fodder for her audience, if nothing else, but was caught off guard by the genuineness of it all (save for Trin's antics). She has an open curiosity about her because she's lived a life with few limits--for her, there's always something else or someone else, there's always the next one--but it seems like that's also made her take the things in front of her for granted. And poor Quinton, he was trying. That conversation over chess seemed to me like she was trying to rein in her expectations by defaulting a to contrary attitude, as if she was not just shutting Quinton out, but also telling herself don't let him in. I wonder if she was afraid that if she did let him in, he might come to believe she's as empty as she feels.

Art Therapy S15.Ep:52-BMB28 + Paint Sip and Kiss S15.Ep:53-BMB29 - First I'm going to say the first shot of Noemy had me laughing until I had hiccups! Now, Zahara's disposition during the date was a bit of a surprise to me. I was expecting her to be a little playful and silly, but it looks like her realization that she was more invested than she thought she was and that she did sign up in hopes of getting a happily ever after that could end up in someone else's hands put her in an introspective mood. I was surprised that Quinton not only interrupted their argument but also told Noemy to leave. He barely acknowledged any of the other interlopers, so I have to wonder if it was more than the scene they were making that made him feel like he had to intervene?

I'm trying to keep these short. I'm going to break here for now, but I'll be back soon enough; I hope you don't mind. I feel so refreshed after reading again!

First let me say you a such a breath of fresh air to this community and I truly enjoy your thoughts and opinions on my post. So please never feel like you’re being or doing too much. YOU ARE APPRECIATED this is good food for my creative soul. Now as far as my theme changing I am so blown I looked up and my theme was gone after spending so much time looking for the perfect one that worked with all of this god forsaken apps changes and updates. 🌱 What’s their basic information? Name, gender, age, that sort of thing

Full name: Kayli Meyer (surname was originally Radley until she was around 7-ish years old)

Gender: Cis woman

Orientation: Asexual, vaguely sapphic but also definitely not alloromantic (AKA, the exact answer I would have given for myself about a year ago)

Date of birth: 19th February 2275 (so, five months older than Trin at any given time)

Place of residence: Born and raised in California- more specifically in Lost Hills. She had never left California before travelling to West Virginia with Trin and living there for two years (2297 to late '99) and some spare change. Has just left WV and headed back west at the current point in the day-to-day OC timeline in my head

🌎 Do they have a favourite region of the world map (e.g. the Forest, the Ash Heap…)? A least favourite region?

She enjoyed seeing the variety of different environments in Appalachia more than anything else, but she does have a soft spot for the atmosphere (not literally!) of the Ash Heap that Trin doesn't share

As for least favourites, she didn't particularly enjoy embarking out further towards the east side of the map (Mire/Cranberry Bog region), but that's more due to the tougher enemies in that region and potential for Trin to start scorchily losing her shit than the actual geography

📷 How often do they take photos (or alternatively, how often do you use photomode haha)? Any favourite/funny photos of them you’d like to share?

She will sometimes take environmental shots to capture any unusual or striking features in the landscape, but on the whole isn't snap-happy like someone I could mention. Definitely doesn't love being in shot herself (so, not a fan of selfies).

🎻 Do they play musical instruments? How skilled are they at it?

Yesss. I literally added this question to that list specifically for Kayli lol.

She's taken violin lessons since childhood, and kinda knows her way around all string instruments as a result. Also figuring out a little bit of piano, which is more likely self-taught. But the violin will always be her baby.

💰 What is the most expensive thing they own?

The most expensive thing in terms of its overall value that she ever owned, past tense, was probably her first violin. It was in pristine condition with a pearlised blue varnish, which I'd imagine would have been very hard to come by.

It survived its time with her, by the way! She just had to swap for a new refurbished one eventually because it was child-sized.

💬 How many languages do they speak?

She's only fully fluent in English, but knows phrases here and there in plenty of other languages. However, I'm inclined to think that she would count the ability to read and write sheet music as knowing a language, which brings her total per her own judgement to two.

☂️ What’s their favourite type of weather? What type of weather do you associate with them, if any?

She's not a fan of any extremes of weather, but especially not storms or heavy rain. Having grown up a) underground and b) in California, the severe East Coast-style radstorms were an unpleasant novelty to her and she's very wary of them.

🍇 Favourite food? Any dietary restrictions or specific dislikes?

Discovered when she travelled east that she likes fresh seafood- but it absolutely has to be fresh, and that's going to be in much shorter supply where she's now living than it was in Appalachia. Welp. Lakelurk meat, maybe?

Her all-time favourite food is the gulper meat in Rudy's pepperoni rolls!

Hello everyone, I am Trinity, but go by T or Trin. I am from Fort Myers, Fl. I have been living in Bradenton for a few years, but plan on relocating out of Florida sometime this year. Recently engaged. I have a child I lost two years ago. I am currently going for my AA in liberal arts and science, as I do plan to go back for my Bachelors in Psychiatry. I love the water, if I am not shopping, I am reading, writing, listening to music, or exercising.

My thoughts when I first seen the piece of art, I loved it. It has one of my favorite things in it, water. Looking at the piece of art I can imagine the sound of the waterfall flowing. The picture is just beautiful. What really caught my attention was the fact that this piece of art is a home/building. Who would know that a building would be art? Painting pictures of the building I would think, but the actually building? I know there are building specifically made of art but that is not the same. The quotes that Frank Lloyd had behind the piece of art also made me think about the art piece and nature differently.  

This picture hangs in my room. My aunt actually painted if for me about 4-5 years ago. I was facing a lot when she painted it for me. When I look at it not only does it remind me about the energy to keep around me or the energy for me to have myself, but it remind me to keep going. The picture to me is ugly, I feel nothing goes and there are so many colors that everything else around would have to be a solid color. That is my personal preference, because I am a plain person, but that's what art is. When you look at a picture you should be able to see of feel something behind it, and that is also why I love this piece of art so much.

3. I am 23 years old. I am a female, Fort Myers, Fl is where I was born and raised. My ethnicities are Black, Asian and Hispanic. For fun, I read, write, listen to music, paint little canvases for fun, go on shopping dates, cook (from scratch), spend time with my big sister and her kids, travel, or go anywhere with water. Other than that, I am a homebody and will not do much, If I can find something that requires being in the house, I will do it. I currently am employed with the Eye Associates. What make me uniquely me? Me. How strong I am. How I could carry the weight of the world on my shoulders, and you would have no clue. The way I am genuine. The way I handle others as if it were me.

4. What fascinates me in my daily life. Are my sisters' kids. Knowing life can be life and the things that are thrown at us that we face can be a lot. I lost my daughter 2 years ago and they give me the strength to keep going every day. A lot fascinates me in in my daily life, it could be a piece of artwork I have never seen. It could be something as little as me learning something I never knew. The smallest things fascinate me! Life's fascinating.

I bet Hero had a blast growing up with Gen around! He's the perfect mountain to climb, has the best shoulders (and head) to ride on and can go 10 extra rounds because he's not getting tired!

Featured here along-side my own little non-canon addition - Vicks. So let's have some head-canons for him (both boys, actually):

Vicks is Sonya's and Mesmeroth's son. She was 3 months pregnant when the Direfolk War ended and Mesmeroth left. She moved to Arne (with Gen) and lived at Mayfair's house. (Mesmeroth doesn't know, though).

Given her depression at the time, Vicks was a tad early. He's been an "easy" child, being silent and more of an observer than an active boy.

Hero joined 3/4 of a year after Vicks birth, himself a newborn at that time. Despite his difficult first 24-42 hours (because Mesmeroth had no real means to take care of him even if he had wanted to) he was pretty much instantly the constant awake and active one. Since Sonya was still breastfeeding, it was a no-brainer for Mayfair to hand her Hero as well.

People always thought Hero was the older one, given his greater strength and activity. He was always leading, Vicks was always following.

They were raised a little as twins and they were told and believed that Sonya was their both mother and the shy guy on the picture with black hair, Theo at that time still, was their father.

They were told that Theo was killed during the war. No connection has been made to Mesmeroth.

They both go to school in Arne and start their training with Master Mayfair.

Vicks is a practitioner of magic, but during his time growing up the Mage Guild was finally banished from the White City and magic was even 'somewhat' outlawed. Sonya begins to teach him in more secrecy but as Vicks becomes older he starts to feel insecure about his magic.

Instead, he wants to go to the White City and learn directly at the Knight's Guild, trying to hide his magical abilities to not be shunned. Hero is happy in Arne (he's also got a bit of a crush on a girl).

Since Sonya is regularly in the White City (due to her studies and work at the hospital), she takes Vicks and puts him into the Knight's Order there. He remains there but comes to visit regularly. Sonya sees him there often also.

Vicks somehow manages to catch Archimedes's eye. The attention flatters the boy and he becomes a loyal personal Knight of the Grand Regent. He get's to know Trin, of course. Maaaaaaybe he's got a bit of a crush on her at some point but it's quickly forgotten.

Even after Sonya meets Mesmeroth again, she isn't sure when and how to tell her sons the truth. So, unfortunately, Vicks learns it from Archimedes. And his mind is poisoned against his parents. Sonya has a hard time connecting to her son and more than before fosters hatred for Archimedes.

Hero and Vicks were really close before, but now at age 16+ they somewhat drift apart. Vicks does tell him that Sonya isn't his real mother, but he doesn't know any more than that. He hasn't told Hero about Mesmeroth, though.

Hero learns the truth indeed only when he meets Mesmeroth and fights him.

Vicks is the pilot for Everturso.

After the Catastrophe, he reconciles with his mother and brother. Everturso is the only Living Fortress that was destroyed so soon. Oceanhorn remains at the White City ruins and Sealurk elsewhere.

I have absolutely no faith in Director Tee or his crew to deliver anything in Hidden Agenda's finale because I have watched all of his other shows and know he loses plots like they're loose change in his car, but . . .

I still think we are getting a time jump (beyond the three months one)

Zo tells his mom that he doesn't want to get sidetracked, and she reminds him to keep people around who support him. He is also looking dressed up kind of like he had an interview or something (to go aboard?!)

The show has harped on getting what you want if you work hard at it. Possibly because he reacted violently as he tends to do, which is why he was so hostile towards Zo their freshmen year when he felt he wasn't being heard.

But is this secret going to ruin them?

but I want that time jump bad enough that I'm kind of praying it does.

My friend @trinityofone‘s cat is sick and she is facing some very steep vet bills.

My name is Art, and I am fundraising on behalf of my friend @trinityofone  whose cat Mochi has recently been diagnosed with lymphoma. Mochi is deeply loved, and loving, and has been Trin's only companion throughout the pandemic. Though Miss Mochi has the glam looks of a silent movie star (and two distinct nose dots that put Marilyn Monroe’s beauty mark to shame!) she is actually a goofy little cuddlebug who loves to play with her own tail. She is only four years old and has a lot more life to live.

Her best hope is six months of chemotherapy treatments. The breakdown of cost is $700-$900 per treatment, for a total of $14,000-$16,000 for the entire six-month course.  

Trinityofone has already paid for Mochi’s diagnostic fees and for the first round of treatment, but does not have enough saved to cover the total costs of the full chemotherapy program. Any help towards those fees would be greatly appreciated. All money that is raised will go directly to @trinityofone and Mochi.
