a bit of cc that i love using ! ( pt 1 )

recently i made a little ( 9gb ) folder of cc for my friend, so i thought id make this list of stuff for anyone who needs it ! i do not include hair or clothes in this, i have umm,, a lot, and will need to sort through them all at a later time ^^; if a link doesn't work, please let me know !

if you have a lot of cc and hate scrolling so much, i highly recommend weerbesu's more columns mod !

for skins, i really need to try out some more one of these days,, i mainly use kijiko's mm skintones for the base tone, and @saruin's kokoro skin overlay ! i love how soft it makes my sims look ♡

speaking of saruin, i also adore her body presets sooo much ! peach pairs super beautifully with the soft kokoro skin for a cute thicc girlie, and her andro presets are perfect for a curvy, more feminine, boy without using a female frame ! :) + these flat chest presets and top !

next is @miikocc, with 5 lovely presets for your fem sims which vary quite a bit in body shape and proportion ^^

honestly, i have so many sliders that im not sure if they all even work at the same time,, BUT ! here are a few i use regularly :) ♡ miikocc: pouty lips | chin slider ♡ iconic: hat control | glasses control ♡ @obscurus-sims has amazing nose sliders that i dont think i could live without ! ( sfs link incase patreon doesn't work for you ) ♡ @ice-creamforbreakfast: 1 | 2 | 3 ♡ and a cute little nose scale slider by @kikiw-sims

finally for the body, a couple tattoo blushes: tart body blush by @ts4-parise in her cherry overdose collection, a colourful body blush from @pyxiidis' interstellar set, and pixelsimdreams' full body blush ( which i couldn't find the original dl, so i put it on dropbox, but here's a reblog of it )

tacking on these gradient fingers, hands, and arms by habsims and these inky fingers by @treatbeetle !

I finally made the OT3 in TS4! You can't tell, but I gave Sebastian his freckles(Oh my god he looks so handsome close up), and Ominis his moles on the right side of his face.

I definitely didn't want to go school uniform vibe, but I did kinda for Emily and for Sebastian I kinda feel like that vibe just fits him, he's kinda nerdy and I really like that shirt. With Ominis I really felt like he had that big oversized sweater vibe and I loved mixing the blues and the greens, combining the two others.

I really want to go back to my roots, give them a starter home, make Emily a painter and Sebastian a writer, and I guess Ominis a programmer(painter/writer are my roots for a couple) and go from there. I also want to TRY a mod that allows three person exclusive couples to allow an OT3 and if that works my plan is to do twins by having one be born normally then immediately have the instantaneously science baby with the other guy.

Cause all my Sims youtubers are dying with twin infants in Let's Plays and I want to see how bad it is but I need three parents. I'm not going to lie. I need three parents for twinfants. (Wait what if higher fertility gives me twins either way...)

Ominis is also a cat lover so we need to get a cat at some point too. It'll be fun. Speaking of fun has Nascar penalties been announced... No... sigh.

I've gone back to TS3 because I'm tired of TS4. Any custom content or mods you recommend (I use nraas already, and I have all the packs - even sweet treats - so whatever you recc I can use). - ash

Ooh, welcome back to the TS3 side!! :D Can't wait to hear about your adventures. If you ever wanna submit any of your creations or anything I think I have anonymous submissions on <3 Also dang, you have me beat then! Only one I'm missing is sweet treats.

I have a LOT lmao, but some of the big ones I think you may like:

ConsortGrow and ConsortAge make your sims gradually grow in height and their hair gradually grey as they age, which I really like. For one, makes it less weird when your new teenagers are playing with their older-child friends :P

Children can lets kids do things like garden, laundry, etc. without stretching horribly

The biggest little mod for toddlers makes toddlers more interesting, adds a lot of new animations and interactions. This modder also has a lot of other little mods along the same line for toddlers and children, so I recommend checking her out

This knitting mod adds the knitting skill, animation, and knitted creations, ripped from TS4 iirc

Sims 3 Open for Business is basically a mini-expansion, and it's REALLY neat! Takes a second to figure out, but I don't think it's that complicated, and I love it. One of my sims runs a bakery :)

Extra freckles and moles

A snow replacement, I just think it looks better. Also there are a bunch of lighting replacements, I don't have one at the moment but if you look for them they can be really neat

Mixed feelings about pregnancy, so not every sim gets a positive moodlet about being pregnant! It takes circumstances and traits into accounts I believe, as I had a sim that got pregnant by cheating on her partner who had a negative moodlet, vs. my family-oriented sim who was happy about it

Better playdates, HIGHLY recommended if you play with kids at all

This one is minor but removing shoes in the house I like for a little bit of realism :)

Moar interactions which just adds a bunch of interactions, and fixes existing ones

Also I get a lot of things from this blog, they reblog conversions (mostly TS4 to TS3) so I get lots of hair and clothes from here

When people in the ts4 community say 'genetics', what does that mean? Sorry to bother you with an ask like this, but I cannot find anybody explaining what specifically it means in this context anywhere!

No problem at all! Genetics generally refers to cc that changes the base of your sim or exist in the skin detail sections of CAS ,ex: full body skin overlays, facial overlays (eyes, nose, mouth, wrinkles, etc), moles, freckles, skin tones, teeth, body hair, eye defaults or overlays, presets and more!
