hi sorry for random msg !! how do u make sure the things u buy r ethically sourced?? sorry im new to all of this but i rlly want like... fox or coyote or wolf or anything canid tails or furs or bones or something but i don't want to support people who are like... getting them unethically im just completely unaware of the regulations on stuff and what i should look for/not look for @_@ thank you for any help in advance!!

I’m going to be honest here I don’t. I really only buy American wildlife parts that are in abundance (especially if they need population control like coyote, deer, raccoon, etc…) OR I buy things secondhand / things going to be thrown away (my ren faire has buckets of fur scraps that would normally be tossed). It kind of just depends on your personal morals.. if you think no animal should be killed for fur, you’ll probably just want secondhand. Fur is rarely salvageable on roadkill unless it’s crazy fresh.. I’ve never had the money or the want (but mostly the money..) to buy anything more “rare” whatever LOL so I don’t really check.. but coyotes are usually okay since they need population control anyway imo? People correct me if I’m wrong

As for foxes and wolves, I’m not sure. I haven’t really shown toooooo much interest in either despite my username.. I’m werebear. Weredog. LOL also I feel like finding a fur farm fox skin might be easier than finding wild, and there can be ethical fur farms, but I’d advise extensively looking into whoever you’re buying any fox or wolf parts from :)
