Mitch Hurwitz has been posting old unaired pilots on YouTube and one of them is a show called Happiness Isn’t Everything. In addition to Ben, it stars Jason Biggs, Richard Dreyfuss and Mary Steenburgen. The pilot is really good and it’s a bummer the show never got made!

there's a deleted scene in the hungry earth where, after the scene on the hillside, amy asks whether the doctor approves of rory. that two-parter is mid but the implications...the implications.

("that's good, right? that happens? we get a happily ever after?" like. she does Not want that happily ever after. but she Does want the doctor's approval of it...)

it's very important to her that they play out the roles they've picked out for themselves. if she can't keep being his time travelling companion then she must be the dutiful wife and he has to acknowledge that she's being very still and very good. she sees marriage as the same as martyrdom........

An alternately animated scene from the Gravity Falls Pilot has been quietly released!!

The scene was done by Kevin Martonick and revealed on his demo reel recently.

I reached out to Kevin given I've been trying to contact people who worked on the pilot for a project I'm making and this was what I got as a response when asking about this scene from him…

"I was only on the project for a couple scenes. I'm not even sure the scenes I did are the actual ones they used for the show. The character "Norman" looks different than the one in my demo reel."

So, long story short, this scene was made by Kevin for the pilot but wasn't used.

Below is just Pedro's opening scene. He plays Special Agent Ortega. There are more scenes with him in the pilot episode, but rather than post them all here and spoil it for you, I urge you to go and watch it for yourself on Youtube.

There are also some screen caps below from the episode that I took, and I've included previously seen images that were released back in 2013 to promote it.

The show was never picked up by NBC for a full series and thus was cancelled. The pilot was never aired - until now where it's been posted on Youtube by a channel called Media Garage.

Pedro also posted a pic of himself in the role as Special Agent Ortega back on 9th May 2013 on his IG profile, stating in the caption "well since no one will see it now."

Alongside Pedro, The Sixth Gun starred Graham McTavish, Michiel Huisman, Aldis Hodge, Laura Ramsey, James Le Gros, Elena Satine & W. Earl Brown, to name a few.

Plot described on IMDB: Failed pilot adaptation of an eponymous comic book set in the old west about six cursed guns that give dark powers and are tied to its owners until their deaths. A heroine and an antihero are after the sixth gun that grants visions.

Unaired pilot. Only 40 minutes. Show wasn't picked up, but it is very good. Rex is a successful and skilled lawyer who is forced to stop practising when he starts having panic attacks every time he speaks in court. He decides instead to coach people who want to represent themselves. Lots of DT in very tight suits. American accent. Not MAJOR angst but he does has daddy issues and a panic disorder, so.

A kid discovers that his neighbour is a vampire, and he seeks out a famous vampire slayer to help him. Peter Vincent (DT) does not live up to his name, and turns out to actually be sort of pathetic. Celebrity Lara Tyler tries to get married to her author fiancé James Arber, but the paparazzi interrupts the wedding. Desperate to keep it private, she takes James to the island that he based his book on. Somehow, the paparazzi still find them, and they hire a decoy bride to pretend to be Lara. Romance, kissing, light hearted, minimal angst. David in a funny outfit. Fake dating trope?

Sequel to Nativity, but you don't need to watch the first one. Primary school teacher Donald Peterson (DT) is forced to take his class to Wales to participate in A Song For Christmas, a festive singing competition. Here he is put against his twin brother, who is a successful composer and with whom he has a strained relationship. Light angst - lots of daddy issues, but generally sweet.

A family go to Scotland for their grandfather's 70th birthday. Doug (DT) and his wife (Rosamund Pike) are getting a divorce, but are hiding it from the rest of the family. Movie is mostly focused on the kids and their grandad, but David has a few moments, and he's generally present throughout. Funny, slightly shocking at times, family film. No major angst. Character death.

Shakespeare's Richard II. David plays the titular character, the extravagant, heartless and cold King of England, Richard II. He is sick and hiding it. Injury, dizziness, panic attacks, that sort of thing - as well as a heart attack. He has a lot of trauma and daddy issues. Season three touches on topics of rape (warning).

Biopic about RD Liang, a Scottish psychiatrist. Sex, misogyny, mental health topics, some self-harm (done by another character)

There's a scene where Phileas gets flogged (whipped, essentially) quite violently, and it's somewhat graphic. Touches on themes of racism. Phileas is 100% neurodivergent.

I got an idea(sorta based on Indy 3: Last Crusade), so here it goes: There’s something that the turtles need to get, but it’s stuck in an alternate universe that’s completely overrun by Kraang, so Donnie makes portal tech to get there, and they’re overlooking this place covered in red and Splinter says, “Beware, my sons, for we are pilgrims in an unholy land,” as everyone has varying “oh crap” expressions. Hope this is alright?

there would be a moment where Leo finds his sword from this dimension. Haha angst go brrr

Donnie finds a backup drive made of ninpo from his future self, so it couldn’t be destroyed and was safe to be found by only hamatos. Some really heart-achy stuff about future Donnie talking to his past self (not really, just recording) because we all know Don prepares for everything.

another amazing scene could be where they walk through desolate resistance bunkers and see visions and ninpo ghosts/memories (ex: Frozen 2 lol)
