oh, still star wars posting BTW. I think Master Thon is my favorite Jedi ever. He's just so unique! every other Jedi Master is on a spectrum of like. kind and gentle to tough but fair. But Master Thon is straight up mean sometimes. He's so intense. He laughs at the idea of Bogga the Hutt torturing his minions for failing. He bullies Nomi into fighting, even though she wanted to be a pacifist, because he recognizes the importance of fighting against cruelty. He deliberately puts her and Vima in danger. Like Oss Willum was absolutely right when he said Master Thon likes to push people to their limits. He talks about how having enemies can be a good thing, because it pushes you to go further. He specifically lives on a world that's strong in the dark side because he constantly tests himself, living on the razor's edge between light and dark.

Damn, got by a lizard! That was so exciting! I can’t wait for Season 2; this Nomi seems like she’ll be a fantastic character!

not a single day passes where I don't think about the implication of legends(?)-comics jedi master Vima-Da-Boda
she *has* to have been in her prime during the clone wars, which puts her right into the time frame of anakin 'stress ulcer over my secret wife's secret pregnancy' skywalker.
why am i saying this?
because this woman, a jedi master from a *geneological jedi dynasty*, also got pregnant, had a whole daughter and TRAINED HER AS HER OWN PADAWAN (the daughter then wdnt off and fell and got herself killed but thats besides the point)
what i'm saying is that between Vima (and the whole Sunrider Dynasty tbh) and Yula Braylon (who hid her child but Yoda explicitly states that they would have helped her had she told them) and the several other jedi with close family bonds in and outside the order WHY do people keep insisting that the jedi were anti-family hardliners?
the jedi order, at least in legends, has *always* allowed its members to marry and procreate if they choose to. you can even train your own children! it happens all the time!!
ki-adi mundi has five wives and idk how many children, plo koon's niece is a jedi, adi gallia and stass allie are cousins and both became high council members, vima trains her own daughter as her padawan and yula could have announced arath as her kid no problem.
and that is not even going into jedi families in the old/high republic times (remember, the order's most famous grandmaster, nomi sunrider, became a jedi at 30 after her already jedi husband was killed and she too had a daughter which she trained as a padawan)
also, you know, canon is free real estate anyways.
but for those who are so hellbent on saying that the jedi are anti-marriage/family hardliners, no they are not & they never were.
i hope that helps 👍🏼

Tell me why I’m lying in bed at three AM, trying to sleep, “I can’t wait to tell everyone at the cantina!” pops into my head, and I start tearing up. Tales of the Jedi (the comics) are so criminally under-appreciated. Hoggon also doesn’t get nearly enough hate from the fandom as he deserves. Vima Sunrider also doesn’t get nearly as much love as she deserves- her and Ulic’s dynamic would fit perfectly with the current wave of “traumatized hot old man adopts local feral girl” stories.

Glanced at your name thingy… Knew the name Nomi Sunrider from somewhere….
It is 11PM on Wednesday and I am suddenly remembering her. Jedi. What happened to her??? Going down this rabbit hole! Thank you! I’ve missed this.
Yeah! I went through a huge EU phase in middle school. It's funny, I wasn't really into Knights of the Old Republic, I just knew it from the lore in the post-Endor books. I just always thought the name Nomi (and Vima) Sunrider were really cool, so I snagged it. Makes me seem way more Star Wars-y than I am 😂

So there's this thing in Star Wars that I've decided to call the Canon Crash, which is when something enters the canon much like a ton of bricks enters a pane of glass. According to my research there have been three such events.
Now, let me make something clear: this is strictly an Expanded Universe/Legends thing. The canon reset of 2014 specifically erased the EU, creating a whole new canon rather than crashing into the old one.
So, okay, the first Canon Crash. The EU had been chugging along for some two decades, being messy and sometimes contradictory, but for the most part there was a general consensus about things. The WEG roleplaying game sourcebooks were the word of God. Then came 1998 and the new ongoing Star Wars comic book series, the first of its kind since the original Marvel Star Wars comics. And thus began the Prequels era, and came the first Canon Crash, as all previous notions about the Clone Wars, one of the most important background events in the galaxy, were utterly demolished. Suddenly the canon wasn't just a bit wonky, it was bent out of shape.
The second Canon Crash came ten years later. A whole new world of EU content had grown around the Prequels, and things were once again pretty chill. We had new stories of the Old Republic, including three mutually contradictory tales of Darth Bane, and Knights of the Old Republic, which did irreparable damage to the visual aesthetic of the era but was otherwise fairly inoffensive to previously established canon (though I'll never forgive them for not having Vima Sunrider in the games). The horizons of Star Wars also expanded ever further into the future with the New Jedi Order and Legacy series. And most importantly, we now had a bunch of stories about the Clone Wars. Enter 2008, and… The Clone Wars, a sort of matryoshka doll of a Canon Crash as it exists within the confines of the previous one, which provided a new, more authoritative telling of the war, often invalidating previous material, and in many ways becoming the first entry in the new Disney canon, rather than one of the last in the old Expanded Universe.
But whatever, right, at least the grand history of the galaxy was still intact, right? The Prequels era was messier now but at least we had a solid grasp of the Old Republic. The year is 2011, and the third Canon Crash is upon us. Enter The Old Republic, the second Star Wars MMORPG, which dropped an entirely new prolonged Sith Empire into the timeline, making Bane's comments about Revan being one of the last Sith to use the "Darth" title absolutely hilarious, and also making the Clone Wars era Republic military aesthetically suspect to say the least. It's still ongoing even after the Expanded Universe that birthed it has been dead for almost a decade, and I pray to the immortal gods of the Sith every day that it gets a proper ending reasonably soon and it involves the fall of the Sith Empire so we can get back to our previously scheduled timeline.
Thanks for coming to my TED talk.

Third Galactic War OCs
OCs that I have made for the Third Galactic War era of SWTOR of my Kine Legacy. Any Kine Family OCs from the era are here.
In my canon, the Third Galactic War breaks out in 52 ATC after almost two decades of peace enforced by the Alliance and close to another decade of growing tensions after the Republic bombing of Odessen.
Republic
Jayla Sunrider - Jedi Knight
Riqi Sartori - Jedi Knight
Zola Teks - SIS agent
Tanah’ezu - SpecForce soldier
Imperial
Anaya Von - Colonel in Imperial Special Forces
Lapra’na - Sith Lord, member of the Sphere of Military Command
Alec Sharpe - Sergeant in Imperial Special Forces
Jade Ivor - Sith Lord, member of the Sphere of Sith Doctrine
Avaraxi Dagan - Rogue Sith Lord
Republic OCs
Tumblr media
Jayla Sunrider
Gender: Female
Species: Human
Birth year: 30 ATC
Sexuality: Heteroflexible
Profession: Jedi Knight
Jayla was a descendent of the legendary Nomi and Vima Sunrider. Like her ancestors before her, she was highly skilled in the art of Battle Meditation. Her ancestry and abilities meant that a great deal of pressures and expectations were placed on her. To cope, she started to pull pranks and gained a reputation as a mischief maker. Noticing that this was a coping mechanism, Biraka Neldorr, the newly appointed Grand Master, took Jayla as one of her students to ensure that the pressures of the Order would not crush her. Jayla would go on to befriend another of Biraka’s students, Riqi Sartori and the pair became fast friends with many believing that the pair would become great Jedi Knights.
Tumblr media
Riqi Sartori
Gender: Female
Species: Human / Mirialan mix
Birth year: 29 ATC
Sexuality: Demisexual
Profession: Jedi Knight
Riqi was the daughter of Khefren Shuffi, a member of the Sixth Line, and Nyra Sartori, the former CO of Havoc Squad. She was raised on Odessen along with many other children of Alliance personnel. With the fall of the Alliance and the Republic bombing of Odessen, Riqi was left traumatized and angry. This made it extremely difficult for her when she was taken to the newly rebuilt Jedi Order. Fortunately, Biraka Neldorr, the Barsen’thor and newly appointed Grand Master of the Order, noticed this anger and chose to personally take Riqi as a padawan to help her deal with her trauma. Riqi found it difficult being a part of an order that routinely served the Republic, the same government that refused to aid her parents in their fight against Zakuul and later destroyed her home. But Biraka managed to convince Riqi that the Jedi were not the Republic. Yes, the Order might have historically defended the Republic but that did not mean that Biraka and the rebuilt order would stand idly by and allow the government to bomb worlds like Odessen again.
Tumblr media
Zola Teks
Gender: Female
Species: Togruta
Birth year: 23 ATC
Sexuality: Pansexual
Profession: SIS Agent
Zola’s family has a long history of serving the Republic. One of her ancestors even served aboard the fleet that destroyed the Star Forge. Being born into an era of peace, Zola pursued higher education with an economic focus. She eventually became a financial auditor working for the Republic.
It was her actions as an auditor that eventually gained the attention of the SIS. She was auditing senate budgets when she discovered irregularities. Her investigation led to the discovery of a ring of senators that were receiving payments from corporations with ties to the Empire. The SIS were impressed with her work and decided to recruit her.
Tumblr media
Tanah’ezu
Gender: Female
Species: Twi’lek
Birth year: 25 ATC
Sexuality: ?
Profession: Republic SpecForce soldier, Nova Squad leader
Tanah’ezu was born into slavery on Nar Shaddaa. It was a hard life and she suffered. But being surrounded by crime, she also gained a lot of skills. By the time she escaped, thanks to some SIS agents that were disrupting her master’s business, she had medical skills, slicing abilities and was a talented brawler.
She was incredibly grateful for the SIS agents role in her escape and eventually enlisted in the Republic military. Her drive to help others as she was helped led her to excel and eventually join Republic SpecForce. After many successful assignments, Tanah’ezu was eventually given command of her own squad.
Imperial OCs
Tumblr media
Anaya Von
Gender: Female
Species: Human
Birth year: 1 BTC
Sexuality: Bisexual
Profession: Colonel in the Imperial Army, CO of the Sith Support Group (SSG) special forces unit
Anaya was born on Ziost to a lower class family. She enlisted in the Imperial Army but scored well enough on aptitude tests that she was sent to officers school. She was still studying on Ziost when the Vitiate attacked and consumed the planet. Her actions in assisting Imperial Forces during the crisis earned her a field promotion and she went on to serve as part of the ground forces aboard the Imperial Forward Command fleet during Zakuul’s invasion.
After the treaty was made with Zakuul, Anaya joined Imperial Special Forces and had a long and successful career. Her skills were noted by Darth Krovos who selected her to run a new special forces unit the Sith Support Group. The SSG would train soldiers to serve and fight directly alongside Sith during high risk operations. Anaya accepted and the SSG quickly became one of the most successful and deadly units in the Imperial Military, with its operatives often being compared to the CIphers of old given their resourcefulness and ruthless efficiency.
Tumblr media
Lapra’na
Gender: Female
Species: Twi’lek
Birth year: 26 ATC
Sexuality: Demisexual
Profession: Sith Lord, part of the Sphere of Military Command
Lapra’na was raised on Odessen, along with her elder sister. She attended classes at the force enclave and was a very promising student. But when the Republic bombarded Odessen, Lapra’na’s sister was killed helping others to evacuate. This left her with a lingering hatred for the Republic and led to her and many other Alliance survivors to join the Empire.
She went to Korriban and passed her trials, outmatching almost all of her Imperial born counterparts. Her skills and hatred of the Republic drew the attention of Darth Krovos who took on Lapra’na as an apprentice.
Despite her hatred of the Republic, Lapra’na still maintains genuine if strained relationships with other former Alliance personnel that fled back to the Republic or simply remained independent of the two galactic super powers.
Tumblr media
Alec Sharpe
Gender: Male
Species: Human
Birth year: 20 ATC
Sexuality: Bisexual
Profession: Sergeant in the Imperial Army, SSG Alpha Team leader
Alec was raised in an era of peace for the Sith Empire. Because of this, he  was able to pursue other passions besides loyalty to the Empire. While he still devoted himself to the military, he also gained an appreciation for literature and poetry in particular. This appreciation extended to cultures beyond the Empire, so when opportunities for cross training alongside Alliance military personnel came up, he took it.
His time training with the Alliance was brief but gave him greater opportunities within the Empire when he returned and he eventually joined Imperial Special Forces. Having trained alongside Alliance Force sensitives, he was eventually chosen to join the newly created Sith Support Group. His time training with the Alliance proved invaluable to the new special forces unit as he had an appreciation for alien cultures (more and more Sith were aliens) and already had a background working directly alongside force users.
Tumblr media
Jade Ivor
Gender: Female
Species: Human
Birth year: 26 ATC
Sexuality: Lesbian
Profession: Sith Lord, part of the Sphere of Sith Doctrine
Jade was born on Dromund Fels during the time of peace that the Alliance brought to the galaxy. As a child, she loved watching the Imperial Reclamation Service excavating ruins. It inspired a lifelong interest in history and archeology.
After completing her trials, Jade joined the Sphere of Sith Doctrine and was part of the team that studied the holocron and philosophies of Kel’eth Ur. This led to her pursuing research into other force philosophies. Her research quickly caught the attention the Sphere of Military Command which created a joint task force with Sith Doctrine to study and learn to combat alternative force philosophies such as those of Zakuul as they managed to defeat the Empire during Arcann’s conquest.
Tumblr media
Avaraxi Dagan
Gender: Non-binary
Species: Zabrak
Birth year: ?
Sexuality: ?
Profession: Sith Lord, part of the Sphere of Sith Doctrine
Avaraxi has always been fascinated with understanding how things work. As a child they would often take things apart and put them back together just to learn how they worked. This mindset extended into adulthood with Avaraxi developing an obsession with truly understanding the force and how it impacts the universe.
Their position in the Sphere of Sith Doctrine gave them access to all sorts of secrets and knowledge. They began to focus on the Emperor and how he managed to gain such a mastery of the force. Needing to understand, Avaraxi started a ceaseless hunt for more information about him and the rituals that kept him alive for so long. Their hunt led them to the eldest daughter of the Alliance Commander, who was herself an experimental daughter of one of Vitiate’s Voices. Avaraxi found Kelsa Kine being held by the Hutts and paid a fortune to gain access to and experiment on her.
They gained a far greater understanding of the Emperor and the Force through their experiments and had intended to pay more or even steal Kelsa for themself. But Kelsa somehow managed to escape Hutt slavery, causing Avaraxi’s research to come to a halt. Since then, Avaraxi has been hunting for Kelsa and any other surviving Kines, eager to continue their work.

Neyri Qel-Droma
Tumblr media
(art by moonlitalien)
Neyri is the descendent of Exar Kun and Ulic Qel-Droma, and the Jen'ari, or Dark Lord, of the independent, hidden Sith world of Yavin IV. three hundred years before she was born, Exar and Ulic won their war against the Republic, turning most of the galaxy into a golden age of the ancient (pre-Vitiate) Sith Empire and driving the Republic into the Outer Rim, where it struggled to survive as a government in exile for a few decades. Revan was their child, and took over the empire when Exar and Ulic retired to the still-secret Yavin to train Sith and focus on knowledge; they (Revan) had a few children with Vima Sunrider and actively ruled for several years before being drawn out into the Unknown Regions by Vitiate. the empire collapsed not long after, and Vima took their children and those loyal to them and fled to Yavin, and the only outside world the Sith government there maintained contact with after the fall was Cinnagar, as the Empress Teta system remains ruled by the Krath and are still loyal to the Qel-Droma family.
Neyri was the youngest of her family when the previous Jen'ari was preparing to name a successor, and though she was only twelve, considered too young to join the competition for the position, she refused to let that stop her and snuck into the ancient temple where Exar Kun's ghost remains. her daring earned her his favor and his help, and she secured her place as successor, eventually taking over as the planet's ruler when she was twenty. when she was twenty-five, rumors from the outer galaxy said that Revan was in fact still alive, trapped somewhere within Vitiate's Empire, and Neyri finally broke Yavin's centuries of isolation and reached out to Darth Imperius for help in finding and freeing Revan.
the great galactic roadtrip she and Ri'en embarked on after this first contact led to a civil war within the Sith, Yavin becoming established in the Empire again, Neyri taking control as Jen'ari of the Sith Empire as a whole, and the Revanite galactic conspiracy being unmasked. now that things have settled, however, Neyri has proven herself to be a competent leader who encourages the Sith to grow rather than controlling them as Vitiate did, and she enjoys her relationship with Ri'en.

//Notes for my Revan follows canon Revan's path while Alak and Meetra return to the Jedi. If any questions are had please ask, and I'll answer or think on it and then answer.
Meetra, Alak, and Revan all share force bonds with each other. This enabled Meetra to keep her force powers but all three of them suffered harm from the Mass Shadow Generator when Meetra activated it. Meetra suffered the most and had to relearn some of her force abilities entirely. Alak suffered the least and still has times where he has trouble with certain force abilities he had an easy time with before. No one is sure what Revan has going on except Revan because they aren't admitting anything.
Revan's birth name is Haat'Tra but as an initiate they felt that it set them apart too much. Meetra and Vima Sunrider came up with Revalin which they went by after that until they took the name/title of the Revanchist or Revan.
Vima was ordered by Revan to stay behind even though she had indicated a desire to join them. Revan wanted her to be there just in case they were not enough to protect the Republic and Jedi from the Mandalorians. Vima didn't tell anyone about this.
After defeating Mandalore the Ultimate Revan was unconscious for a week then they went through everyone and found those who felt like it wasn't actually over. Those people Revan moved to their direct fleet and everyone else was moved off. There were 12 ships that went with them after they fought the jedi council about allowing the rest to return. They declined their own Judgement and left after securing the rest their home once more.
Revan was betrayed by the contact they used while feeling out the Sith Empire. They still were driven to Fall, but they were tortured for a length of time before they Fell and the Fall was by choice. Once they Fell they fought the orders to help destroy the Republic and ordered their ship back to Malachor V where they used the wounded nature of the force to fully fight off the compulsion to follow that order. In fighting it off properly they buried the memories of that period of time and the planet leaving only an impression of great pain from that location.
Alak and Meetra tried to send messages to Revan but the messages never got through. Revan was entirely unaware of this until they spoke about it with Alak and then they got to read all of the messages.
Canderous and HK-47 are Revan's favorite companions overall (at least of the game companions) because they are the ones that Revan feels most free to be themself around. They also adore Alak and Meetra but are wary of them because it has been some time and they don't know the two of them as well anymore.
Revan was aware of the chance to have their mind messed with and buried their memories where they could not be destroyed, though the ones regarding the Star Forge were searched for and damaged, but also gave them 'keys' to fully return. The first was their name, the second was Alak or Meetra's name(s), the third was holding a lightsaber. They also still have their saber crystal, rather than risk losing it or having it taken away Revan took the crystal out of their saber and hid it in their body.

📚🌪️🥞🤥 and purshee for the oc ask game?
o7
books: how were they at school? what is their best subject? what is their worst subject? do they have a favourite subject?
I guess it depended on the subject. She was always really good at the theoretical and physically demanding classes, but abstract things like political and diplomatic courses as well as philosophy and the lot she never quite got the hang of. Her Master once famously called her a 'very small, dainty yellow bantha in a china shop' when asked about her performance during a political mission.
Her favorite subject was History of the Jedi Order.
tornado: what is the biggest change you've ever made to them? how have they changed from their original version?
Originally, Purshee was the Padawan of another throwaway OC that was barely more than a name. But now I've changed that to her being the first Padawan of Vima-Da-Boda (a legends comics Jedi) and thus indirectly of the same lineage probably as Grand Master Nomi Sunrider (my beloved)
pancakes: what is their comfort breakfast?
Actually, she isn't a breakfast person normally. She'll rather eat a bigger lunch than breakfast, but at the once-in-a-blue-moon occasion that she does eat smt early, it's a kind of savory-sweet jerky the togruta occupants of the Temple get from an AgriCorps outpost near Shili.
lying: are they good liars? do they have tells to show they're lying?
Purshee may look innocent (or maybe that's exactly what aids her in this) but she can lie like there's no tomorrow. No tells, nuthin'. Any sort of sabbacc tournament she shows up? Already over. People just haven't realized it yet.
