(sorry if this sounds weird, I’m not good at explaining my thoughts)

I feel like the hate towards vlinny should have been directed towards the people being weird with him, and not the character itself. It’s hard to convey my thoughts about this properly honestly. Before I had watched the tomodachi life series, I hated vlinny because that’s what vinesauce fans are supposed to do. After I watched the series, I gained what you could call a love-hate relationship with him. On one hand, I genuinely don’t really like him. On the other, I think that he could have been an interesting idea. It’s just that people had to ruin him in Vinny’s eyes. I’m fine with Vinny’s dislike of the character. Sorry that this seemed like pointless rambling, but I needed to get it off my chest.

i think my biggest issue is that people from the present have to pay for the deeds of people from the past, if i was vinny id absolutely hate vlinny too and would have been uncomfortable as well, cuz while i wasnt there, ive seen what kind of shit ppl would draw when searching references for my art

i honestly dont even particularly care about vlinny, i feel like i come out as a super fan of him but i didnt even remember he existed until i asked abt "white haired vinny", i draw him often cuz i think its a fun concept to explore

and again, me and/or others that werent a part of the circus now have to still take the toll from people from almost a decade ago even though all the people i know that draw vlinny are not freaks at all

so yes, i wish the focus was more on how its not cool to sexualize/objectify/headcanon/kin (actual things i saw that happened with the character) a person/persona instead of "hey dont draw this character if you do you are awful"

#it could have fun because vin is such a good on-the-go story maker but we cant have nice things ig
