Port of illusion

La Paz is the capital of the State of Baja California Sur in Mexico, and is one of the cities with the most beautiful and recently visited beaches in the country. The locals call it "The port of illusion" for its beautiful landscapes and contrasts, as well as the tranquility that is experienced in the city. What makes it so special and different from the rest of the beach spots in the country, are the contrasts between its landscapes, a white sand beach and calm sea on the edge of a desert full of cactus and diversity of flora and fauna.

Here is a list of the activities you cannot miss while visiting La Paz:

- Gray whale sighting

- Swimming with a whale shark

- Kayaking in Balandra beach

- Snorkeling on the “Espiritu Santo” island

- Observe and swim with sea lions

- Paddle boarding on the boardwalk

- Climbing the “Cerro de la calavera”

- Enjoy the exquisite gastronomy

- Relaxing in every beach you can possibly get to

The perfect months for visiting the city are between March and June, with average temperatures going from 14 to 30 degrees the whole season. If you don’t mind hot mexican weather, between the months of July to September the heat can get up to 40 degrees on midday, but the water at the beach is still very fresh so it makes it a very pleasant visit.
