Thought I'd share some territory concepts I've been working on! Both for Coyoteclan and a second clangen blog I've been debating, which is set in the wild west :)

I'll write a little blurb for each little area under the cut for those curious about these locations (and separate images)

Coyoteclan

Fallen-Tree Coyoteclan's Leader den and clan meeting place. The tree is ancient and hollow, the entrance coated in the scratches of long-gone cats. The Leader calls meetings from atop the tree, while the deputy sits on the rocks below.

Thunder River A small collection of waterfalls that eventually lead to the sea. From here, you can hear an ominous, melodic sound coming from the beach.

Graves of the Fallen The resting place for Coyoteclan cats. Coyoteclan prefer to commune with their dead here, but still go with the other healers during halfmoon.

Sweetwater Wilds

Trail of Blood Untamed land filled with bandits and danger. Not only are there plenty of predatory animals living here, but it's a popular hiding place for many outlaws.

Canyon of Stars A place for communing with the stars. Sheriffs and Healers visit often for guidance, though some bandits are known to come here in secret.

Hareshade's Dawn Not really a place but this is the Sheriff of Sweetwater Wilds lol I really like her but she's SO TRANSPHOBIC she is BULLYING the only trans cat in the clan and I cannot stop her

a pitch on reverse 1999 MAPs

Okay, quick question. Does anyone ever wanted to try and organize a MAP of the game?Not only about the full on game, but maybe from one of the events? This idea came up when I saw one of those warriors map on YouTube..

If anyone doesn't know what a MAP is, it's like where different people make a small animation for a bigger one (?) It also stands for Multi Animation Project, I want to try and host it or have someone help me hosting it.I just see the potential on it, share this and tell me what you think.

I love sunstar tho, not only for his super interesting unrequited romance (the sun~ proposed to the moon) or for his foster fathering of Bluestar

But also does anyone remember when bluestar was talking to Sunstar about like... either thistleclaw or becoming deputy. And He basically told her 'oh I wouldn't have chosen thistleclaw he's like insane'??? Honestly istg catch me making a map about when that happens she runs until she like, falls into the river only to wake up as a apprentice again with all her memories. And It goes through her life except she knows what happens (except events that were out of her control Ex: Moonflowers death) still happens no matter how hard she tries. Only able to fully prevent the things that were fully in her control)

well i know that practice makes art better and to be Real if i started drawing every day again id probably experience a much steeper improvement curve and be less frustrated with my progress as is. however. even though i have more free time than ever (i lost my job LOL, though i am still in school full time) i just cant muster it... its not the art itself. its the setting my laptop and tablet up that i cant do? drawing for hours is nbd but for some reason plugging in only like 4 cords (two to my laptop, one to the tablet, one to the wall) is an insurmountable task to me. Finding Difficulty Starting And Stopping Tasks or whatever. i have no idea how i did this shit daily for years back when i was a teenager / preteen. escapism? because i was waking up at 5:30 am every day for the band bus, i was in extracurricular bullshit for most of the week, school all day (wasn't even a good time then i'd cry in like every single class. also i spent more time weekly in school back then than i do on classes AND homework combined now) then id go home not eat go to bed at midnight and get 5 hours of sleep as a growing child. literally how did i manage to churn out such a magnitude of shitty horse drawings... perhaps BECAUSE they were shitty? or a good distraction?

maybe this is my ""hot take"" for the warrior cats community, but are we really as a fandom complaining about the songs people are using in maps?

i can understand it from a "there should be more diverse music used" standpoint, but getting genuinely upset with younger people in the fandom using hazbin hotel songs or making the 100th rasputin map or whatever isn't the way to get your point across-

(the only reason you should really be mad at kids using hazbin hotel songs is the fact that they're kids using hazbin songs, kids need to get as far away from that as possible, it is a very adult show- not overly relevant but thought i should get that fact out of the way; or i guess people probably shouldn't be making maps using poison, that is the least appropriate song you should be using at all, but at the very least hazbin songs as a whole are just not thematically appropriate regardless of the fact that they're too mature for kids to be using)

the same goes for tearing into people for their music tastes

i thought there were more adults in this fanbase, but considering the amount of people i've seen have that attitude makes me begin to consider otherwise

is there REALLY no better way to get across the message that there should be more diverse songs used in warrior cats maps? i guarantee you, people will be 100% more willing to get on board with that if you stopped tearing other people, their music tastes, and their own projects apart

i also think that there's a serious problem with people in the map community being put on a pedestal-

i think people are forgetting that the warrior cats map community is a part of a fandom and ISN'T a funded studio making full tv shows or whatever, you all need to really stop talking and thinking about it like that, do you not realize how harmful that is?

the warrior cats map community is a group of warrior cats fans who like to animate characters from a book series to music they like, THAT'S IT

the people in the community are not celebrities and the majority of them are doing it for fun in their spare time and do not plan to be/are not professional animators or creators and on top of that, many of them are beginners or kids looking to have fun so trying to tear into them for having fun doesn't make you anything other than an absolute ass in my mind

it's one thing to go "man, why are there so many hazbin hotel maps popping up? what about hazbin hotel screams 'turn me into a warrior cats animation' at all?"

but it's another to start loudly complaining about how "UGH THERE'S NO GOOD WARRIOR CATS MAPS ANYMORE, I WISH SOMEONE WOULD START MAKING GOOD WARRIOR CATS ANIMATIONS AGAIN LIKE *insert whatever maps you want*"

i would like to remind you, warrior cats maps are fan projects- you are also a fan! make that map you have an idea for!

"but what if no one joins it? what if not enough people join and it doesn't get made? what if i fail completely? the warrior cats map community is hard to get into"

valid concerns! but isn't at the very least *trying* better than sitting on twitter loudly complaining and waiting for someone to do something for you? that sounds much more fulfilling to me at least, and even then you can try again!

maybe it's just my corner of the internet, but i don't see a whole lot of people advertising their maps, i see people *complaining* that not enough people are making maps that they want to see and i think that's something that should really change

i WANT to see more diverse and creative warrior cats maps, but i also don't want to stop seeing people making the maps that they want to make, whether that be the millionth mapleshade map to a breakup song! i don't care, let people have fun and make what they want to make as long as they're not hurting anyone!

The "What did I do wrong?" repeating over and over again.....I think it would specifically be for the cats that weren't downright evil or did obviously bad things. Like cats that thought they were doing the right thing, or didn't even do anything evil at all but were still condemned because of StarClan's bullshitty ways.

This may be a stretch but have any other warriors fans seen/listened to the soundtrack of Six? Because omg, I find Heart of Stone is such a Squirrelflight song. From the point of view of a fan who doesn’t think she deserved either Ashfur or Bramblestars bs at least.
