I was also working on this together with a mutual - the track choice was mainly their idea, but I was trying to help find scenes that'd fit, and I managed to make quite a few moments work; You'll notice it's slightly different from my usual styles, but I'm also trying to relate specific moments and framing rather clearly here!!

no by all means keep judging cartoon villains solely by if they get redeemed in the end. i know some of us like to talk about other stuff like characterization or entertainment value or nuance as something that makes a good villain. but i think the only thing that actually matters is if the villain ends up on good terms with the protagonist at the end. all the Good TM cartoons with Good TM creators make the villains die a Horrible Death for being Abusers or whatever. and all the Bad TM cartoons with Bad TM creators Forgive Fascists by not making them get publicly executed by the 14 year old protagonist in front of the 8 year old target demographic.

i mean im so glad that more cartoons nowadays are subverting the psyop to support fascists that a few queer artists and queer shows definitely invented in 2017. there are so many popular cartoons doing that. it's almost like there are more properties killing their villains now and in the past than there ever were of properties that didn't do this. and it's almost like whether the villain gets redeemed at the end is more about the context of the story and its themes leading up to a narratively sound decision.

#ramblings of a lunatic #the owl house #yeah. yeah #i should stop going into the maintag BUT SOMETIMES IT'S GOOD IN THERE MAN!! #and i don't follow as many toh ppl #so sometimes i gotta go into the tag to find things i really like! #i wish i just didn't have to see more than one post dunking on a piece of media i like there like. that's not what it's for #even if you're tagging it for your own blog organization that's not stopping you from putting a critical tag so ppl can filter it #it'd just make everyones lives easier man #especially the ppl posting the critical content! #bc they tend to get messages and replies from fans who disagree with them (bc again.. they're in the wrong space) #and then decide that this means the fans are toxic (maybe but you've got a bad sample size and no control group) #idk man i just. I'm doing everything right on my part! blocking ppl and filtering tags #but some ppl just don't want to follow the social contract of online spaces and I'm normal about that #tbh I'm also just really tired today. I've been hand painting a chessboard and chess set (w/ help! it's been fun- #-but also i was there from noon to 5pm. it was actually probably closer to 6 hours in total cause of work done afterwards) #(point being I'm tired. I'm sleepy. I'm kinda cranky and i wanna be silly in peace for five minutes) #(i know we all joke about the insularity of our dashes and mutuals but. it does make me a bit sad- #-fan spaces don't have to be this insular to be peaceful. it could be better)

#speculation nation #ive woken up significantly since i left class so thats nice #i bought. a hegel book. for my own reading i guess #idk how much i'll actually read but ya kno #aaaaaalmost bought a book in japanese but decided against it bc im unlikely to be able to read it anytime soon #i also bought gloves!!! since my current light pair r kind of falling apart lol #the rest of what i got are gifts. and thus. shall remain secret. #me getting that final price tho and being like *oof* but like it sure does add up doesnt it #gotta do some extra work bc my last paycheck was a little light bc of the snow day lol #also everyone's on the lower end of their preferred hours bc we have so many ppl #but ykno what i have the ability to just go in extra if i so wish. and i do so wish. #just popping in like Heyo! me and manager in training both do this lmaoo #employees can never assume we wont be there bc we will always be there. lol

#I HATE SCHOOL SO MUCH WHY DOES IT TAKE UP SO MUCH OF MY DAY ID RATHER DO MORE 16 HOUR SHIFTS DURING THE WEEK THAN HAVE TO GO TO SCHOOL THAT #LONG LIKE WHO DECIDED I HAD TO BE THERE FOR ALMOST 8 HOURS SITTING AT A DESK WITH NOT ONLY NEW INFO BEING THROWN AT ME BUT ALSO BEING #EXPECTED TO INTERACT WITH SO MANY PEOPLE AND NOT HAVE AIR CONDITIONING AND I HAVE TO DO THIS 5 DAYS A WEEK??? FOR THE NEXT 9 ISH MONTHS??? #WHY DO WE GET GRADED ON PARTICIPATION SHOULDNT THAT BE A LITTLE BONUS OR SMTH? ALSO WHY DO WE GET GRADED ON WETHER OR NOT WE TALK WITH OUR #CLASSMATES?? #DONT EVEN GET ME STARTED ON MATH OR ENGLISH OH MY GOD I HATE ENGLISH CLASS SO MUCH AND SNFNEND #ok so last year i chose the higher level course for math but then i thought my counselor changed it to standard level after i told him abt #it BUT THIS YEAR i show up to the first day and yk we do ice breaker activities which is ew EXCEPT I WAS SAT WITH PPL I KNOW FROM #ELEMENTARY and theyre actually pretty easy to talk to so i was like wow nice i might actually like math this year AND THEN I SHOW UP THE #NEXT DAY AND HE HAS A SLIDE SHOW THATS LIKE Welcome to HL Math Applications! #so yeah. theres that little problem but imma put up with it and hope for the best bc maybe ill actually get this teachers way of teaching #and i like the ppl i sit with #and i dont wanna have to move my whole schedule around just to switch levels #wow. if you read this far i applaud you ty >3 #i totally did that backward i meant <3 #des vents
