I prefer the fics where Lily cheats on James with Sirius, tbh.

That said, I like cheating in fic as long as a) there's no bashing of the "unfortunate" person (ie. I don't like "I cheated on my wife because she's a bitch and I hate her") and b) it's not done for the ~drama. Like in telenovelas where the main pairing would get married just now but you have the man randomly cheat with the hot new secretary so that the story can drag longer. I like my cheating to have meaning. Conflicted feelings, a lot of we shouldn't, feeling sorry about the person being cheated on, "this is the last time" (and it's not), stuff like that.

Long story short? I want a good story. Not cheating for the sake of it.

it's probably super unhealthy to be neck deep in an anonymous space like tumblr in order to feel the most like myself.

i understand i've ALWAYS been this way. being raised in an oppressive, abusive family will force you into quiet, solitary, isolated spaces. but im realizing how bad it is for my psyche right now, this very moment. and i'm not feeling great about it.

to be clear, i'm not blaming tumblr or the fandoms or the stories i talk about here. i'm not even blaming myself. i'm just realizing how bad of a symptom of stress i've been living with and simply not acknowledging.
