Hello, these are the ideas I had, I'm going to copy paste them from the word docs I have them in.
First is the Twin AU
The elder was wise and kind, and presided over the domain of the dead, overseeing the souls of mortals and their passage to their due rewards. The younger on the other hand, a sister or brother is up to you but I am going with sister, was somewhat brash and yet was always willing to please those around her with her artwork, the beautiful tapestry we know as life.
For eons they had overseen the world of Teyvat, the sole survivors of a war that had torn asunder the heavens and left them with but each other for company. They had slowly shaped the world into something wonderful and yet the younger sibling was not happy with their work, for the elder sibling was no longer with them as they always were.
No longer did the elder lay their head down on their lap and stroke their scalp as they read to them for they now worked on a new project.
No longer did the elder admire the beauty that she had crafted so painstakingly as she was so busy with her new project.
No longer did the elder lay beside her and rest when they were tired from all of their work, for the elder now rarely slept as she worked on her new project.
The elder never told them what it was that they were working on, and in addition to this was the issue of a nation of heretics that did not worship them or the archons they had made to rule over the world in their stead so that they may rest from time to time.
A nation known as Khaenri'ah.
After so many sleepless nights and so much grief she had finally come to what she saw as a rational conclusion, her ever dutiful assistant Asmoday, though doubtful nonetheless agreed that her ladies theory was plausible, the theory that the Eldest was working to remove Khaenri'ah so everything could go back to normal.
In her eyes it made perfect sense. The elder had always been so sweet and kind, and was more than likely trying the peaceful approach, maybe even slowly indoctrinating them from within or through a proxy of some sort. That had to be why the elder was so busy and why they could not spend any time with them as they once could.
And so the Younger decided that they would make sure that the elder would not have to worry about the problem anymore. They gathered their archons and made their move..
As Khaenri'ah burned before them the Elder appeared before the younger, tears streamed down their face as they demanded to know what the younger had done.
The younger sibling is confused because why would the Elder be so upset at them for getting rid of the problem so they could be together again.
In a fit of rage and grief the elder struck the younger and told her they had been aiding Khaenri'ah so that one day the two of them would not have to watch over the world anymore, that they and their archons and celestial assistants, Paimon for the elder and Asmoday for the younger, could rest and simply enjoy the world that they had worked so hard on.
As the younger begged the elder for forgiveness, promising that they could rebuild the nation anew and make things right, the elder turned and left for their heart could no longer stand the cries of grief and pain from the souls of the nation they had worked to hard on, their own children, in their ears as they moved on and the the knowledge that they had failed both their children and their sibling so much.
The elder said that one day they would return, but until then…it was goodbye.
The younger wept for so long that their eyes leaked blood as they wailed for the elder to return to them, to pull them into their arms and wipe away their tears and shush their cries. Asmoday held them close all the while, tears leaking from her own eyes as her own sister had left her as well so long ago.
After that day the Archons and the younger held strained relations as they tried to work together to make the world into a place where the Elder would be happy to call home, all the while working to amend the mistakes they had made in the past.
But eventually one lost their faith in the world and in the gods and decided that they would gather the power to bring their beloved elder god back by themselves.
One would die and leave a sibling forced to take their throne only for the sibling to lose themselves in grief and sorrow, locking themselves away from the world and letting a doll rule in their stead.
One who was so very tired decided to see if the Elder was correct all of those years ago and let the mortals rule themselves.
One drowned their grief with wine and song as they let their nation enjoy the freedom that the elder had sought so long ago for them all.
Three more would pursue their shared goal in their own ways as well, leaving the younger to morn and wail at the thought that they had truly failed their elder. Not only could they not find any of the blood of the nation that their sister had loved so much so that they might rebuild it, but they also faced the horror that was the abyss fuelled by rage and grief all aimed at them and unwilling to work with them towards their shared goal of bringing the elder back.
All the while the younger and a funeral parlor director were tormented by the crying of the dead who they struggled to help move on without the elders presence.
Then one day the cries of the dead vanished, the sun and stars shone brighter, a comforting presence blanketed the world anew, although weaker, so so much weaker than what it once had been.
The younger cries with joy as on a beach a Traveler wakes up, Lumine in my case, on a beach with a warm and soothing presence enveloping her. And beyond a screen a mortal feels a strange sense of Deja Vu.
Well, what do you think? Sorry if it is not the best, it came to me at work yesterday when I was half asleep lol. I’ll send more brainrots your way later on tomorrow because it is my day off. Ah I forgot to mention that this was inspired somewhat by the Twin Au, although in this case one of the twins is a god that never left Teyvat
I'll send the Divine Traits next
