In the "Making of Wish" documentary, they stated that they cut out this scene and Star Boy mainly because Star Boy was apparently "too similar to other Disney characters" and that they wanted Asha to "solve her own problems by herself without anyone's help"

This is so hypocritical... Asha in the final film was literally just an amalgamation of the "Adorkable" Disney princess character trait and....THEY ACCEPTED THAT THEY WENT "WOKE"

In the movie, Asha ends up taking help from others anyway so it wasn't about "help", it was more about removing Star Boy and Asha's romantic chemistry. This 5 minute clip gave me more feels and actual goosebumps than the final Wish movie.... This is further proven as to why we didn't get the evil royal power couple 😭 They couldn't display romance actively if at all in woke culture and God Forbid, a female being evil and being deeply in love with her husband?!

They knew they can't keep the royal duo evil because then their agenda would die out

The "It just wasn't working" was a total excuse and a lie.

Seriously there's this another scene with evil Amaya and Magnifico and...They are threatening and elegant af AND THE CHEMISTRY WAS JUST 😭😭😭😭

Although I haven't seen the film, I have heard about the path that Wish nearly took and how everyone else preferred that version over what we got. Its been a while since Disney gave us a good love story and with their resent run of bad luck it wouldn't hurt them to go back their roots. Everyone loves a good love story and who doesn't want to see one of a human woman catching the eye of a shapeshifting Star Boy. And the demo song that was writing for these two was so beautiful I can't stop myself from listening to it over and over again.

Yes human Star does look a bit like Jack Frost from Rise of the Guardians and Nightlight from the Guardians of Childhood books, the character that Jack was originally inspired by before he himself got added to the book series. Part of me does understand why Disney turned away from their original idea to avoid placing themselves in trouble, with them being in the red of late, but didn't a evil DreamWorks mermaid deeply resemble a certain redheaded mermaid? Most stories now a days share some similarities to some already existing stories, the plots are different and only a few certain themes were similar.

After seeing everyone else's fanworks on the original plot that many well wished that Disney stuck with, I thought that I would show my support. Its noting fancy and I didn't want to use other people's artworks of Star Boy x Asha without their permission, as that would be stealing. Even if I did credit the artists, it would still be stealing without asking and then end up bagging for their forgiveness.

Starboy Ideas

Firstly, I've named my Wish starboy concept Genesius, if you don't already know, so I'll be calling him that when I talk about him, cool? Cool.

Okay, so, there seems to be the most disparity right now between designs in how the starboy would communicate. Some have him speaking aloud, some have him signing.

My concept for Genesius is signing + limited telepathic projection. At first all that comes through for Asha is overwhelming bursts of instrumental music, but as they start to understand each other, his projections calm a little and Asha begins to listen closely for the tone of the music.

Once they've bonded, Asha begins to be able to hear lyrics in his telepathic music (facilitating an At All Costs scene), but he still signs everything too, and it's kind of a rare moment, and after the song he signs "I didn't know I could do that"

also he's super physically affectionate i think, lots of nudges and standing too close and resting his arm across her back and hand-holding and stuff
