something something the lessons they’ve learned up until now thanks to everything they’ve experienced, the special connection with nature (with the tapus, with alola itself), and the bond they (people and pokemon) all share bc they’re always working together and helping one another shaped satoshi in a way no other *region* did

Shima I will literally cry if the next episode is actually Ash's last. I will sob. I will die. Shima that episode is going to make EVERYONE cry bc it'll be emotional oh no. I'm so proud of him tho like omg it took 25 years but Ash Ketchum is finally a Pokemon master and I'm so proud of him
Also genuinely curious what the hell will happen for the scarlet/violet anime then, if Ash isn't there
I don’t think it’s the NEXT one bc that’s the Project Mew episode focusing on Goh but I believe the one after that might be the Journeys series finale;;
Idk I mean. I wasn’t ready to let Ash go when SM ended because I felt like there was still more for him to do. But Journeys kinda tackled everything? This entire time it’s really felt like the final chapter in Ash’s adventure, where he gets to go around to every region he’s traveled through and revisit all of the people he’s met there and really show how much he’s grown since he left Pallet Town all that time ago. Journeys is really just a love letter to all of Ash’s adventures over the past 25 years, and with his recent win at the World Championships I really think this might be it. But it’ll be ending on a really good note, you know?
The only thing I really really hope they don’t do is a cheesy time skip where they show him grown up and married with kids or whatever. I’d really rather have that sort of ending left ambiguous?? Ash has always been a kid and I’d like it to stay that way. Have him celebrate his win as he is now and don’t skip ahead 10 years or whatever to see what he’s up to. Just leave it open ended with the idea that yeah he’s gonna go on more adventures and meet more people but we’re done telling his story for now. I’d love to see one last hurrah with all of his friends and rivals and just have the series end there. That’d be SUCH a good ending 🤧
But I dunno! They might keep going from here. I’m not sure how much higher Ash can aim than World Champion lol which is why I don’t really see them bringing him back for another season but I could be wrong. I know a lot of people have really been gunning for a new protagonist so that’s the direction I could see them going in for a Gen 9 anime. AND as a special bonus they could probably bring Ash back for an episode or two as a guest appearance and he could help out the main character with something :’)
We’ll have to see what happens next week when that episode premiers!! But either way I will probably cry when it’s over bc I always get emotional when a Pokemon series ends

So I had some Thoughts about Tulip's experiences with Christmas, and how it'd probably feel this year to be back in her parents' mansion. Cause like, Big Corporate Christmas Parties are a Whole Thing with rich people and her family is Like That so when she was growing up Christmas was likely crowded, stressful and-as she got older and learned just how shitty her parents are-increasingly artificial and joyless. And then depending on when she left it's possible that her first Christmas away from All That was just a normal, cold day alone in her van, and if she bothered to go back to celebrating after the events of the game and her SMGs' arrival it was probably just a small thing with the three of them and probably Dale.
And now they're back in the mansion, and even with her rebuilding the place into something of her own, even with 7, 10, Dale and the ghosts there, the old place is just so Big and Empty and full of bad memories, both in general and of Christmases past.
Except, well, this is also the year she met the other Avatars. And Hocotate and Sequin Land apparently don't have Christmas or equivalent holidays (though the Shantae characters are probably at least aware of it due to Meta Humor), so why not invite over Olimar and Shantae and their SMGs and families to see what's up? And yes Louie and his Nana and Sky, Bolo and the Cadaver Siblings absolutely count. And the Ketchums also usually just do their own small thing (well, small if not for all of Ash's Pokemon and the Oaks and Tracy and whichever of his companions that happen to show up), and they want to make 29 and 30's first Christmas special and Miku's whole Digital Idol thing means she doesn't exactly have family and Jet probably has the same deal Meggy did where he has no idea what Christmas even is, so why not invite them, the mansion probably has enough room for most of the Pokemon and the ones that really Should Not be Indoors like the Tauros and Snorlax have plenty of room out on the grounds.
Then there's the space robot kids and their friends who may or may not have Christmas or Christmas equivalents where they're from but Sally definitely wouldn't normally be celebrating considering where and what her job is so they're definitely in, and Laharl just sort of strolls in unannounced like he owns the place with his little cobbled-together family in tow, and Crown, Twister (the Four-Winged Falcon, Frenzy's little brother. Again, Blatant Sonic Ripoff), 15 and 16 drag in Frenzy since this is apparently The Place To Be (and they do have to drag him because he's being Stupid and assuming that given his past with the Union he won't be welcome).
And even with the other Avatars who have their own Christmas Stuff going on back home (or in the case of Tune's gang they just "happened" to need a place to lay low and decided to crash whatever winter holidays Luminos has, with Jazz (a government agent and Tune's Rival/Girlfriend) and 11 also coming along despite not officially being part of the Gang. They're not fooling anyone) they still manage to pop in every so often.
And now when Tulip was bracing herself for a rough holiday season in that big empty house and her painful history, instead she's got demons and genies and super-powered animals filling the halls. Louie and Delia have taken over the kitchen. Twister and Sicily and Olimar's kids are teaching Sally how to play "The Floor is Lava" and a few of the teens and adults and Pokemon have joined in and Miku's ended up as the Lava Monster somehow. Dale and Mimic alternate between talking shop and swapping stories about their nieces. There may or may not be Something going on between Professor Oak and Louie's Nana. Flonne keeps sneaking mistletoe onto all the doorframes "Because Love" but according to Etna is clearly just doing it to mess with everyone. There was an explosion somewhere and nobody's fessing up. Arle's asleep on the couch and nobody has any idea when she even showed up in the first place. Team Rocket somehow showed up but instead of trying to steal any Pokemon they got strongarmed into helping with the food.
It's just as crowded as it used to be, but now it's noisy and chaotic and full of love, and those cold Christmases from her childhood are mercifully hard to remember surrounded by all this warmth.

The Hoenn Grand Festival is SOOOOOO funny to me. In most of Drew's scenes, he's literally just there to go 'hm >:(' at everything. Harley convinces May to use ONLY ONE MOVE, so she DOES, AND SOMEHOW SHE KEEPS WINNING? Caroline's... there, I guess, and thinks Harley is sincere (???). May has a stack of postcards that's at LEAST four inches tall from people she's met, and has to be from, like, every COTD so far to be that tall of a stack. These episodes takes place AFTER Who What When Where Wynaut, and May still insists she and Drew aren't even friends (third fucking season of him giving beautifly May roses, for added context). James is LARP'ing as Norman. The 'Cone?' scene is in this arc, vintage Taylor post. That scene also uses music that they also notably use in Pokemon Chronicles, of all places. Snorunt evolves, I guess. It's where the Harley's Ass Friday screenshot comes from. We learn Drew RAISED A FLYGON TO AT LEAST LEVEL 45 FOR ONE SPECIFIC BATTLE WITH MAY, BY HIS OWN ADMISSION WHILE PRESUMABLY MIC'ED FOR THE WHOLE CONTEST HALL TO HEAR?????? Normal thing you do for a rival, carry on. The contest venue just looks like Sidon from BOTW to me.

Hello 👋🏼, i just wanted to thank you for the lilli headcanons. i really enjoyed them.
But as I was rereading I realized that swordward also had a Gallade and that he apparently has a relationship with Lilligant ( to be fair, they were caught at the same time so…)
Could you do some headcanons of Gallade relationship with swordward ⚔️🗡 ( And if possible, Gallade’s relationship with Lilligant 🗡🌸)
Tumblr media
Ye-
I honestly like any excuse to write more about this AU because it very much intrigues me- ;w; I know it's been a while since I've talked about the AU, but it does live free in my mind.
So as mentioned before, Ralts was caught at the same time as Petilil. For Sordward to be part of the Pearl Clan. And much like Petilil, Ralts was shy at first (it might be because he just met Sordward, and he sensed hostility within him, but not towards his Pokemons). But he soon grew to be more… well, bold.
As in, Ralts became brave and tough. Like, try to break every rock he sees and swing a wooden stick around kind of brave. It could be because since Sordward’s hair used to be a sword, Ralts grew inspiration from that and always had a wooden stick with him and used it as some sort of sword. This continued until Ralts evolved into Kirlia.
Don’t worry, he was never a violent Pokemon. Since he was pretty close to Petilil, and she’s a shy little plant. He was just trying to be protective of his trainer and the other Pokemons.
You see, a dude Kirlia could either evolve into a Gardevoir or a Gallade. So he had a choice. Hell, even Sordward gave him the choice on what he wanted to evolve to (even if Sordward prefers Pokemons with blades, it was okay if his Kirlia wanted to be a Gardevoir), although the answer was perhaps obvious; a Gallade. Since he showed many signs of wanting to evolve into that. So naturally, Sordward attempted to find a Dawn Stone for him (and succeeded if you couldn’t tell).
Honestly, Gallade might be considered either Sordward’s main or ace Pokemon. It’s either him or Lucario. Speaking of Lucario, those two have some sort of rivalry with each other. Just to see who’s stronger, they don’t hate each other. The same could be said about Lilligant and Mismagius being rivals.
… But the Pokemons you’ll see most out of him are Lilligant or Gallade. And it’s mostly because those Pokemons mean a lot to him. He loves all of his Pokemons, but they just… stand out the most. Probably because of the leaf blade things, and they’re willing to annihilate anyone that messes with Sordward.
Plus, those two get along pretty well. Maybe it’s because they’ve been around at the same time, and one seemed more protective for the other's sake back then. Probably the only Pokemons in his team that can actually get along with no issue.
Here’s the thing, both Gallade and Lilligant are potentially seeing someone in terms of relationships. Gallade found a particular Gardevoir that he may be interested in. I said “may” because Sordward doesn’t exactly know the nature of their relationship. Because that Gardevoir is a male, and he doesn’t know if his Gallade is aware of that. So they could be just friends… or something else. But whatever the case is, they’re pretty close.
It should be known that the Gardevoir is a wild Pokemon. They have no trainer. So they encountered each other when Sordward let Gallade out so they could adventure together (and so Sordward doesn’t get hurt), until those two crossed paths and started talking. As Sordward was about to just intervene between those two, the Gardevoir ran away, as if he feared Sordward. But don’t worry, those two interacted more and more later on. Just when Sordward isn’t around to interrupt them.
In Lilligant’s case, it’s similar. She just encountered a wild shiny Lilligant and they both seem very intrigued with each other. As if they ended up being besties straight off the bat. And again, the shiny Lilligant shied away from Sordward when he showed up. Dude is unlucky.
By the way, do NOT ask him about the shiny Lilligant. He knows how people can be greedy with Pokemons with certain color changes. He doesn’t want anyone to hurt her, let alone capture her. It’ll make him and his Lilligant very unhappy if anyone dares to do something.
But yeah, Sordward and Gallade have a pretty close bond, seeing that Gallade is basically his main and willing to defend Sordward from any wild Pokemon. Both have the sense of nobility in them as... the Gallade takes inspiration from Sordward. So basically, the two do act similar, in a way.
Gallade is a bit quiet in nature, doesn't say much. But he's pretty strong, there's no denying that. And again, you'll either see Sordward let out his Gallade or Lilligant once in a while. Especially in the Hisuian wilds if he's walking about.
I hope this is okay. I could write more about this AU if people are intrigued. ;w;

Gary: Everyone calls me an overachiever, but there's someone who actually surpassed me like tenfold when it comes to Pokemon.
Professor Amaranth: How can you tell?
Gary: ***pointing at Ash who's casually feeding Giratina with giant marshmallows***
Gary: That, is my childhood friend and old rival. He may be an average Pokemon Trainer, but he actually took down evil organizations, saved the world from a bunch of regional disasters, participated in any Pokemon League from every region, first Alola League Champion, one of the Masters Eight, a Frontier Brain candidate who refused the FB position, and most of all, met every legendary and mythical from every region, including Mew. Also met and become friends with Arceus too. And don't forget, he's also the Chosen One of the Shamouti Prophecy.
Professor Amaranth.exe stopped working.
Gary’s an Oak so that’s why everyone calls him an overachiever when Ash is literally right fucking there

Hii. What is your opinion on the pokemon XY anime gang?
Hi! Thanks for the ask!
Oh man, I have a lot of thoughts regarding XY! Let's see...
Ash: I like the way he was portrayed this season honestly. He was very likeable and went through a lot of key character moments especially thanks to his Greninja. I had multiple moments where I just told my friend "man he's such a cool guy". Very good portrayal of his character :))
Serena: I'm a bit mixed with Serena. I like her but also feel like she didn't have as much character as any of the female protags before her. I liked her character arc but it felt a bit rushed weirdly enough? There was also a lot of fanservice around her which felt a bit weird (and the romance with Ash was... Well, no shade to Amourshippers at all but I did not see the chemistry. It felt like they didn't want to commit with it. If anything she had more chemistry with Aria imo) and in the finale everyone had a role except her (Bonnie was calming Zygarde, Clemont was taking care of the Lumiose tower, Ash was battling Lysandre but... Serena was just... There.) All in all I like her but she feels a bit like wasted potential? Of course that is merely my opinion on the matter. I think she improved dramatically in her small appearances in Journeys <3
Clemont: I love this little guy! He has such a nice bromance with Ash! His catchphrase and the ensuing running gag somehow always gets me. I just like that they committed with the character. He's very distinguishable from Cilan and Brock which is a plus in my book and gosh, his role in the finale broke me. I cried twice and the Citroid "death" was one of them. Clemont makes me happy :))
Bonnie: I honestly really like Bonnie! She was well written in my book and she had a lot of moments where my cynical ass had to sit down and say "... Yeah, that's cute actually". She fills me with uncontrollable cute aggression (that feeling when something is so adorable you just have to squish like bug) especially with the way she was with Zygarde. Remember how I said I cried twice during the finale?... Her singing to a rampaging Zygarde was the second time.
Some minor characters below!
Professor Sycamore: I love that he appeared often although his plot relevance is more in relation to Alain than it is to Lysandre in this. I'm a bit sad that he doesn't actually know Lysandre before the events of the Mega Evolution Special because MAN it would have been fascinating to see him torn up between the man he loves as a dear lover friend and his son assistant! Loved his dynamic with Alain <3
Tierno: HE GOT SUCH A GLOW UP??? Like I didn't care much for Tierno in the game but NOW HE'S IN MY TOP TEN FAVE POKEMON CHARACTERS???
Shauna: Wish she had appeared more because I really liked her <3
Trevor: Such a tiny guy! I think a tiny bit of his bite was lost in the anime adaptation but I still really love his friendship with Tierno. Boy best friends!
Sawyer: I love how it introduces the concept that EXP might exist or is a pseudo science in this world?? He's a tiny guy who packs a punch and that's great for him :)) very likeable.
Miette: I want to like her and I do but this whole "love rival" was introduced and then severely underutilized 😔
Alain: Is it a secret that I love Alain? I was making fun of him a lot during my first watch, calling him a bit of an edgelord but, hey, that's how I show my love. After multiple months of intense roleplaying with my friend I ended up... Really REALLY loving him??? And now whenever I rewatch his breakdown I feel terrible inside 😢
Mairin: You know how Bonnie fills me with cute aggression? Mairin is even better at triggering it. I love her with every fibre of my being <3 Her dynamic with Alain is everything to me. (He just wants to see her smile again 🥺🥺🥺🥺)
Lysandre: Might as well talk about him! I did like his portrayal (even if the line of "protecting the professor at all cost" at the start sounds super parasocial considering they never formally met?????) and he has some crazy good moments for only being introduced in XYZ and the Mega Evolution Special. He's grand ! I still can't believe the scene where he flungs himself off of the tower exists but it made me gasp very loudly!
SORRY FOR THIS LONG POST I didn't know if you met just the main four or more soooo here are my thoughts on most of the main cast?? Anyways haha hope you enjoyed that? Overall I really liked the entire XY series especially XYZ. It started a bit slow for me but had a lot of cool moments I'll remember for a while.

Pokemon Violet: Poisonous Rebirth
Chapter 1: Welcome to Kitakami.
The first chapter is done, hope you all enjoy it! Any advice is welcome and so are questions.
.
.
.
.
The Paldea Region…a region where people and Pokémon co-exist. From the skies to the seas, there are Pokémon at every corner! At the heart of the region lies a giant crater inaccessible to ordinary people…and around this area, in a corner around the crater, lies an academy known as Naranja Uva Acadamy. An academy where students can learn from basic lessons such as language, maths, and P.E. to Home EC, students are offered dorms, and within the academy is a shop where they have everything they need. Within the academy resides the prodigy known as Florian.
Florian is a young 14-year-old trainer who reached the Champion Rank thanks to his rival. His friend group consisted of Nemona(The Battle Hungry maniac), Arven(His cook bestie), Penny(Hacker VeeVee girl), and of course, the iconic paradox Pokémon, Miraidon. Due to his appearance, Florian was often mistaken for a girl until he spoke, which he always found funny. Sometimes, he’d just let people think he was a girl for some time and then speak.
One day, Florian heard of a trip to a place called Kitakami…which caught the young trainer’s interest. So, he willingly signed up…
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
At the airport, Arven, Nemona, Penny, and their mother met up to bid Florian ‘bye’ even tho it was temporary.
“Make sure you call us, little buddy!” Arven grinned.
“Make sure you get stronger so we can have more fruitful battles!” Nemona chimed.
“Make sure you call…” Penny muttered softly.
Florian looked at his ride partner, Miraidon, who chirped happily. They could tell the electric/dragon type was excited to see more of the world.
Florian stared out the window, wondering how long has it been since he took off to Kitakami. He was bored out of his mind and he had a nap not too long ago. His partner, Meowscarada, on the other hand, was still napping. That grass cat Pokemon HATED being in her Pokeball, so it was up to Florian to ensure this cat wasn’t causing mischief. The boy checked his room phone.
“Man…this is taking forever…and we also need to take the bus…” They muttered to themselves.
Florian looked around the plane, so many trainers…many faces he could recognize as students but not know on a personal level, and then there was Ms.Briar…Florian wasn’t fond of her…and neither was the Magician Pokemon…
Florian checked his team: Meowscarada, A recently caught shiny Flygon, The guardian Miraidon, Azumarill, A shiny Lucario, and a shiny Gengar.
Some of these Pokemon were hatched, some were just caught at their current stages but they all obeyed Florian flawlessly.
He was snapped out of his thoughts as he heard the pilot announce their descent.
“Finally…”
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kitakami…a small village-like region and a popular tourist destination…home to Pokemon who are not found in Paldea. Florian got off the bus and looked around.
‘So much green…’ They thought.
Briar guided the students to the community center, yet Florian was lost in the scenery…until he bumped into someone!
“Grah!” A voice echoed.
“A-Ah! Are you ok!?” Another voice chimed in.
Florian looked in front of him. A tall girl with a dark smoke brown hairband and eyes looked down at me. Her hairband had dark smoke-brown wings with dark orange tips. Her dark blue hair with a harsh pink interior and yellow highlights in the front hair waved elegantly in the gentle wind.
“What gives!?” She shouts.
“I-I am sorry! I got c-caught up in the surroundings!”
“Surroundings…I take it you are…new here…?”
Florian looked at the source of the other voice. A smaller boy, around Florian’s age, seemed to share a similar hairstyle to the girl. Although his hairband was a harsh pink with what Florian believes are chains hanging loosely. The boy’s pink eyes were something they were sure to never forget.
“Ummmm…you are staring at me…” the boy spoke softly.
“S-Sorry!” Florian apologized.
“Yea…I will just…mark all of this as you being new here…”
Florian nods, glad that it got sorted quickly.
“I’m Kieran…the featherbrain with wings is my sister…Carmine.”
“Hey! Who are you calling a featherbrain!?” Carmine shouts, getting all riled up.
“You…jeez…” Kieran retorted, sighing. “Sorry about the featherbrain…she gets…riled up easily, really.”
Florian couldn’t help but stare at the chains dangling from Kieran’s hairband…they were simply so pretty…no…Kieran was pretty. That shade of pink just really suits him…
“H-Huuuuuuuuuh!? Kieran suddenly blushed.
“W-Wait…what happened!?” Florian panicked.
“You just said my brother is pretty and that shade of pink really suits him…” Carmine spoke.
“I-I said that out loud!?” Behind Florian, Meowscarada chuckled.
Kieran, still flustered, took Florian’s hands in it’s and smiled.
“I-I think you look pretty too! E-Everything about you is unique!”
Carmine rolled his eyes.
‘Lovebirds…’ she mentally sighed.
The girl now watches as his little brother and the newcomer are flustered messes.
“ANYWAYS! Come now, new kid.” Said Carmine as she took Florian’s hand and took him to the Community center, Kieran following behind.
A little bit later, we arrived at the center.
“Florian! There you are!” Ms. Briar spoke as she approached me.
“Now we know your name…” Kieran muttered.
Florian chuckled.
“Sorry…”
“I see you met the two group guides already!”
“I’ll get these kids! Kiki, you get Florian!” Carmine said/
For a second, Florian swore Carmine chiriped…like a bird.
Once the groups were decided, I looked at Kieran and smiled.
“Lead the way!~” Florian smiled.
Kieran fidgeted nervously but nodded.
“O-Ok…follow me…”
‘Strange…’ Kieran thought as it couldn’t shake off the smile from Florian. ‘What is he…doing?’
Thoughts ran through the young boy’s head…
“HOLD IT!” Carmine’s voice rang loudly.
Kieran and Florian turned around, only to see Carmine rush at them.
“I want to battle Florian!”
Florian could see a spark in Carmine’s charcoal eyes. A desire to battle.
“Hmmm…let me see if my team is in good condition…” Florian muttered, playing with his braided hair before reaching into his bag for the Pokemon. Meowscarada seemed in good condition. She seemed eager to fight!
“Alright…we can battle.” Florian exhaled.
Carmine looked like he wanted to jump up and down.
“Alright! Let’s do this!”
We went back to the front of the Community Center, Carmine pulled out a Pokeball. She confidently threw it and Mightyena came out.
Florian looked at Meowscarada and she jumped into the battle, meowing ferociously.
Carmine laughs as he gets into battle mode.
“Welcome to Kitamami! For your first experience, get ready to eat dirt!”

That shiny request reminds me of an old brain rot I had: How about a friends to lovers fic between Emmet and a shiny hunter/breeder reader? They met in the daycare and become pals despite their different breeding niches. Emmet breeds pokemon for competitive play while the reader can't tell the difference between EVs, IVs, and Eevees. One day, the reader asks Emmet to help them become a better trainer since owning shinys makes you a target for pokemon thieves. How does a romance bloom from there?
I’ve never understood those either, but I’ve always made sure my babies trained 😤 also to make my writing easier I did give reader a team.
Asks are open
-
-
You two were childhood friends. Your family ran the Pokémon day care and we’re a family of breeders, just about everyone in Anville town got their partner Pokémon from your family.
Your family was already excited at how well you had taken to the family job.
You didn’t stop until you accidentally hatched an egg that had a shiny, you were so excited to show it off to your family as a kid. Who were shocked to see a dark orange rufflet.
When you were told how rare that was you squealed in excitement and quickly bonded to the small bird, the Rufflet was attached to your hip and would scare off anyone else.
And that’s how you meant Emmet. You recognized him and his twin who’s parents stopped by to get the pleading boys a partner Pokémon.
And when he saw you had a Pokémon he wanted to battle.
“But I don’t want Pumpkin to get hurt.”
“Battle me! Your weird Rufflet against my joltik!”
“But-“
You had no choice that day as Pumpkin instantly jumped off your shoulder and stood bravely.
You won barely but that was enough for Emmet to view you as a rival.
You taught Emmet about breeding Pokémon for specific traits and he took all your information to heart.
Even as years passed he still came to you for questions until he became confident in his abilities.
He fought and caught all his teams but has a love for his yellow spider babies and soon had so many, though he bred his for more fighting based states.
You only bred for shinies. Granted you worked for your parents so any Pokémon was usually given to professors or trainers.
This is how you got your team, whom you mainly only had for companions, pumpkin evolved and you, Emmet, and Ingo screamed at how pretty the blue was.
Your team was a pretty blue Braviary, a pink Mienshao, a blue ringed Whirlipede, a dark teal duosion, and a yellow Larvesta.
Each battle you had, Emmet won.
You didn’t think much of it until you were visiting the twins in Nimbasa city, where they had to try and work as subway bosses.
You were at their house alone, unaware that someone took interest in the yellow Larvesta that you carry around like a baby.
You didn’t know they followed you to the twins home.
Not until the broke in and your screams echoed in the house, pumpkin came out of his pokeball and the large aggressive bird scared the would be thief off.
You called Emmet and explained everything.
“Hey can you teach me how to battle properly? So my Pokémon can protect themselves from something like this?”
Emmet’s heart broke at your scared tone.
“Of course! We are friends, I was going to force you to anyways, Pumpkin maybe big and intimidating but he is not very strong, we will get to work!”
Soon Emmet was teaching you how to battle, type match ups, combos, what is super effective and not effective against what.
“It’s best to give a Pokémon a variety of moves, sure Braviary is a flying type but he can learn more moves aside from flying, which can help if your opponent isn’t weak against flying type attacks.”
He gave you so much information that you’re grateful Ingo gave you several of their old books on the topics.
Emmet watched you study and practice, helping and guiding you along the way. He was there to squeal and cry with you through every evolution and seeing the off colored Pokémon.
He thinks the power blue on Reuniclus is pretty and the more tealish blue on Scolipede’s rings are to die for.
He watched you grow as a trainer and the longer he did the more he started he realized he had fallen for you.
“Emmet! Can we battle? I wanna show you how far I’ve gotten!”
He laughs at your excitement.
“Of course, but I won’t go easy on you.”
“I wouldn’t expect you to.”
And with that the battle was intense. Ingo was the mediator, who watched in awe at the explosive and flashy battle between you and his twin.
Pokémon dropping.
It was Emmet’s Archeops vs your Mienshao.
And a well timed bounce held your victory.
“I…I beat you? OH MY ARCEUS I BEAT YOU!” You cheered, quick to hug and cheer with your Mienshao who was purring happily.
Emmet was beyond happy, his joy was bright and obvious.
As if on autopilot he walked towards you.
Your smile melts his heart and he can’t help himself but to hug you. Picking you up and spinning you around.
But he started smothering your face with kisses is what caught you off guard.
“I’m so verrrry proud of you! You’ve come so far!….o-oh! Oh my-I’m so sorry I don’t know what came over me!” Emmets puts you down and instantly starts apologizing.
You’re so dazed that your childhood friend turned crush was just smooching your face.
“Yeah no it’s cool-“
“I’ve just liked you for so long and it wasn’t even thinking oh Arceus I’m so sorry!”
“Emmet it’s okay, I like you too.”
“I can’t believe I-…wait what.”
He heard you was the funny part, if the look of realization over took his face before he squeals and sprints to Ingo to tell him the news.
As if Ingo hasn’t been standing there from the begging.

Pyrrha has it so hard with her champion live, not being able to spend time with her leader. Not mention how she was competing for Jaune attention with his rather clingy kirlia.
Pyrrha had never been great at making friends. She knew not if it was due to her tall stature, or her prolific battling skills that others often turned away from her. She'd heard the words of envy, spite, and hatred over and over again. Apparently winning a few tournaments in her home continent had been enough to make her the both the blacksheep of social situations and the golden goose of media and pokemon battles.
Regardless, she had hoped that coming to Beacon to study, and get away from it all would have made life easier. Thankfully it had, while there were a few individuals who would try to use her, or get under her skin. One being Weiss... however she was getting better about it recently. She'd made genuine friendships that would last her a lifetime. None more special than with her Dorm Partner and group Leader, Jaune Arc.
TO her surprise, and Weiss morbid annoyance, he hadn't known who she even was the first time they'd met. In fact, he'd never bothered to tune into any type of tournament scene, stating "Ah... well I'm not really a fan of pokemon battles. I'm here to get my breeding and caretaker license."
Many would call him soft, weak, or cowardly. But he was right, Beacon wasn't just a school for learning to b attle. It was simply the best school for knowing how to take care of pokemon, with all the varieties the methods of care were different. Something most new trainers didn't realize was how having multiple types was rough, each requiring their own special care, foods, or grooming.
This often went neglected by a lot of trainers, those of whom never made it far in league challenges.
So Pyrrha couldn't help but be swayed by the gentle boy, and that sway would eventually turn into infatuation. His care for his own pokemon carried over from his own to hers, and the rest of their teams. He was often the first one that anyone in their small group of friends went to if something seemed even a little off.
Even her normally ornery Mimikyu and it's rebellious nature would often find calmness around him.
So it wasn't strange that she'd been rather stricken... and to her pleasant surprise he seemed to be just as taken with her as she was he!
At least if the little side glances he'd give her when he thought she wasn't looking were anything to go by... or how he would often stick around just to be with her.
It was all quite romantic, and made her heart swoon~
So one may think that either would make the first move. Well... she had planned on it, except every time the opportunity came up she was immediately blocked off by Jaune's rather clingy Kirlia.
Who, to her surprise, had appeared to be her biggest rival for his affection! Pyrrha couldn't believe it, she'd never expected that she would ever have to fight over the love of her life, with a Pokemon! She knew that Kirlia were smart, intelligent creatures... but this had been too much... and perhaps more than a little frustrating.
Even more so when she realized it was only ever her, and one another, that the Kirlia would get in the way of. She wasn't even this way with Weiss of all people. The very woman who scorned her trainer! Though it was obvious she wasn't fond of the girl, she still didn't force away their interactions.
Honestly, Pyrrha was getting quite frustrated with the entire situation, and she was about to put her foot down.
She was going to tell Jaune how she felt no matter what, she was going to march straight into the Care area and-
"Stop!"
Pyrrha stilled, fingers tightly gripped to the doorknob. "What?"
She questioned to no one at all, the voice still ringing in her head.
Slowly she turned around, her green gaze falling upon the soft grassy green hue of Kirlia's headdress. The small pokemon gently flickering with a soft blueish telekinetic field. Her fingers twitched, briefly considering reaching for one of her pokeballs as the Empath pokemon stared her down.
However... as if reading her intent, possibly actually reading her intent, Jade, the Kirlia, backed down.
"S...sorry! I don't want to fight... but please..."
Pyrrha couldn't believe it, "You... you can talk..."
"N...no! No I can't. Not like you, not like brother."
"Brother?"
Pyrrha found herself stunned for a moment, the psychic pokemon gently swaying left and right, fidgiting with her fingers, her nerves clearly frayed.
"Please... please don't confess."
Her mouth opened, closed... then opened again, she couldn't believe what she was hearing? No what she was thinking? "Why shouldn't I?"
She hadn't meant to sound so standoffish, so stern with her words. But she was frustrated, furious even, how dare Jade stand in her way. How dare she try to find someone who... "I like Jaune, I have every right to tell him how I feel."
"I know! I know! I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I don't... I know I shouldn't get in your way."
Pyrrha's fury began to settle as she noticed the change in tone, the abassiveness suddenly flattened, instead all she could hear was a scared little girl.
"Brother likes you, he really does and I know that he would want to be with you but... but... but you can't!"
"Why not?"
Her voice pitched again, her foot stomping against the floor, the Kirlia flinched.
"Because I don't want you to take him from me!"
"What?" She couldn't believe it, no she didn't want to? No... no... she... she knew what the Kirlia said had to be true. Especially as tears began to pitter patter upon their carpet. "Why would he... why would I take him from you?"
"Because... because if you get together, then he won't have time for me! He'll ignore me and... and I don't have anyone else, I don't want to be lonely anymore, not again!"
Pyrrha... Pyrrha could feel the sorrow wafting off of her, waves of empathic emotions surging through the air, little flashes of memories clearly not hers slowly seeping into her thoughts. A ralts, all alone and abandoned, a little blonde boy just as lonely... and then...
"Oh sweetie."
Pyrrha finally got it, finally understood why Kirlia was always in her way.
For some reason she'd always expected it to be because of jealousy, but that wasn't it. No... no it was something much sadder, a feeling that Pyrrha herself understood well enough.
And, before she knew it, Pyrrha was already sweeping the small green pokemon off it's feet, binding her between her arms as she held her in place.
"You have to know, Jaune would never abandon you."
"I... I know! I just... I just..."
"I know... I know, fears aren't logical."
Pyrrha held her close, letting the small pokemon cry into her shoulder. She knew, she understood.
Eventually, Kirlia stopped crying, the accompanying shaking slowly pattered out.
"Are you okay?"
"Ye... yes... I'm sorry."
"It's alright... I understand, the feeling of not wanting to be alone you know. And... and you know Jaune would never stop paying attention to you. He'd always be there."
Kirlia didn't meet her gaze, instead focusing on the floor, her hands pressed against her bent knees.
Slowly Pyrrha ran her fingers through the green fibers of Kirlia's hair, "I promise."
"Okay... and... I don't hate you... I don't like Weiss, and... I do... I do like you... just... I was scared. I'm sorry."
"Oh sweetie, it's alright, I understand. Just know, I really like Jaune. And I promise I won't hurt him."
"Okay."
For the first time, Pyrrha found herself finally bonding with a pokemon that wasn't hers.
With courage renewed, Pyrrha knew that the next time she saw Jaune, she'd definitely confess. And more than anything, she wasn't going to let this sweet little thing ever feel alone, not like her, not like Mimikyu.
"Oh! You two are getting along!"
Neither knew when Jaune had entered, but both had been equally surprised. However, none more than Pyrrha, especially as a purple hue suddenly overlapped her, and she was flung into her leaders arms.
"You better not."

Snack Pack Adventures #3: A Crystal Clear Nuzlocke
It’s been awhile since we’ve played Crystal Clear, so let’s get back to that! Last time we were here, we let Pringle just dominate in the Bug Gym. Coming up next, we have a forest to go through and another Gym!
Tumblr media
We do not have a Rival Fight here, unlike in regular Crystal, so we can just make our way through Ilex Forest. MTN DEW will move up front because ‘cause he knows Hypnosis, and we could really use some more friends for the team. Our first encounter was an Oddish, which almost took out MTN DEW, but we swap out to Pringle and manage to get a new friend!
Tumblr media
I’ve named them Potato. I’m a little nervous about Whitney now. I’m not sure that we have a good way to get a fighting type before Whitney, and I don’t want to travel too far away from Goldenrod to see what we can get. Maybe the Game Corner will have something?
Tumblr media
The Hiker out in front of Union Cave wants a battle! Let’s walk back and see how it goes. Maybe get Celery a level or so! It’s a Geodude then a Machop, an easy battle. Or so I thought, I change into Pringle for Machop and they almost get destroyed by Low Kicks. I change back to Celery and finish out the battle with Petal Dance. Let’s get back through Ilex.
Ilex is actually really uneventful. Crystal Clear opens up the entire forest, meaning no puzzle to get Cut. So we basically just walk through and get to Route 34 for our next encounter. Let’s see who we get!
Tumblr media
A Drowsee! I love psychic types, and while I’d definitely rather an Abra, this is fine! I’ve named them PBJ, they’ll likely go on the team when we get the Exp Share after the Red Gyarados in… wherever, I can’t remember.
We get to the Day Care and I think it’s time to let Pringle get some time to rest. I also accidentally swapped Peck for Hypnosis, so I really can’t use them for much until I get better moves later. But also, we should be getting an Egg, so that’ll be a fun surprise for later!
We finally get to Goldenrod. I deposit MTN DEW and check the Game Corner to see if we can get a new friend. When I go to the counter I realize I don’t have a Coin Case, so I need to go look for that. As I do I run into Bill! He’s got an Eevee just for me! I don’t know what I’ll evolve Eevee into, but we’ll figure that out. My wife named them French Fry.
I go down into the Underground and… I think I may have met my match.
You see, I was trying to fight everyone in the Underground for some extra experience cause I was thinking about getting Salt evolved, or as close to it. I am doing alright until I talk to a burglar named Frank, who opens with a level 22 Bayleef. It uses Solarbeam over and over and over, and the only think I can do is try to Sleep Powder and get some hits in. I have no Pokemon on the team that can do anything. If Salt, our highest level Pokemon, gets hit once they’re gone. Celery can hang in there okay, but can’t do enough damage. With Celery at 12/51 HP, and the Bayleef asleep, I decide to switch into Salt and see if we can get a high-damage Magnitude off. Magnitue 7 does… not enough. BBQ doesn’t have any Flying type moves, Sprite is level 8 and has nothing useful, and French Fry is level 10 and also knows nothing useful. I think this may be it for us. While Bayleef is still asleep, we try a Tackle. It does almost as much damage, and I notice something: This Bayleef is consistently healing a little bit of health every turn. I think we’re gonna die here.
Bayleef wakes up and starts a Solarbeam, and I switch Celery in to take the hit. We’re at 6/51 HP now. They charge a Solarbeem, I try for Sleep Powder which misses. There’s nothing we can do, Celery isn’t fast enough to go first and sleep them before the Solarbeem hits, but maybe Solarbeem will miss? It hits, and Celery goes down. I send out Celery next to hit some Sand Attacks, which might stop the bleeding. But we still have the issue of damage output. Any one Pokemon who gets hit by Solarbeam will go down, and Bayleef is regaining HP every turn. French Fry goes down. I send in BBQ and hope Leech Life can do okay. Bayleef starts using Curse? But Leech Life isn’t doing near enough damage, Bayleef’s HP is basically completely healed every turn. I use a Supersonic and hope confusion damage can help us out. It hits itself… and it doesn’t do much damage, either. With all the Curses, the next hits any of our Pokemon take will go down. But still, we must keep trying.
As we’re still in this battle, I’m noticing something: I think Bayleef has run out of attacking moves. It stopped using Solarbeam, and is now only using Reflect, Curse, and Sweet Scent. Are we going down to Struggle? At this point I’m just letting BBQ drain it’s PP for Struggle, and I think that’s all Bayleef can do, too. On our first Struggle… I’m fairly certain BBQ only does 1 damage. It’s so over. I swap to Salt to see if we can get a bit more damage output and outpace the self-healing, and we really can’t. With the Reflects and Curses, we’re doing so little damage. Maybe Bayleef’s Struggle recoil will help us out? Whenever it actually gets to Struggle.
Finally Bayleef does Struggle, and even with my full Defense Curl’d Salt, it does 8 damage per turn. It’s so over. After a handful of Struggles, Salt goes down. One Struggle takes down Sprite. One Struggle takes out BBQ.
The run is over.
Tumblr media
Well, that sucked! Between our bad luck with catches & encounters, just not being ready to deal with such a high level starter, and not having anything for a grass type on the team, I’m not surprised this happened. I am incredibly disappointed, regardless.
Goodnight forever, my funny dogs.
Maybe I’ll randomize Fire Red or something. Until then, see ya later!

hiya!! U^ェ^U my name's Kenneth!! I'm a cage fighter who's been scrapping it up in the Johto region longer than most of y'all have been alive!!! I'm gonna try to be active on here, buuuut my phone is kinda old and I can only log onto desktop mode when I'm at the net cafe, so we'll see how that works out. currently hanging out near the Lake of Rage if anyone's dtf!!! (down to fight lmao ( ͡°ᴥ ͡° ʋ) ) just be warned that I take my sport very seriously. I don't lose.
currently don't have any pokemon owned, buuuuut that's not a problem!!! haven't met one I couldn't beat myself yet!!! (◠ᴥ◕ʋ) I prefer to fight hand-to-hand with my gauntlets, buuuuut I'm also pretty good with bladed weapons, blunt weapons, and firearms too!!! whatever's needed to win the fight, I've got it covered!!! U(。・ᴥ・。)Uノ
not looking to make friends!! just fights!!! V●ᴥ●V rivals, enemies, horrible creatures that I can drag down to hell with me! things like that
members of organized crime interact at your peril.
((I usually don't make OOC content, but it's gonna be necessary for this guy. Kenneth is a sadist who lives entirely for the thrill of bloodsport. If you interact closely with him, there is a fair chance he will try to fight and severely injure your character or their pokemon. By getting close to him, you consent to high-ultra stakes events happening to your character. I will let you know exactly once what you're getting yourself into if he sees your character or their pokemon as a good fight in the making. This will be your one chance to back out before shit hits the fan.
Kenneth is in possession of superhuman strength. He can take down strong high-level pokemon in hand to hand combat, and he usually kills his opponents. If you've ever played the Yakuza series, think Kiryu or Saejima in terms of power. Yes, his power has limits. Yes, he does have to worry about severe injuries. No, your Lucario will not stop him. Come into every fight expecting an uphill battle that you are likely to lose. If you need a character killed off, DM me and we can hash out an event for it.
Blanket CW going forward for high stakes, pokemon death/abuse, death in general, gore, and violence. It'll usually be of the written variety. If this content isn't for you, my other three blogs, @skygodtraumabond, @skippthecredits and @teamcuriosity, are way less intense.

I've heard that people are making pinned posts, so I thought I might as well do it, too.
Heya. Y'all can call me Guy, and I'm the head honcho for this(more or less) ask blog, and I think there's a few things you should know about me:
-I'm currently in my junior year of high school, and posts happen... basically, whenever I feel like it. If I don't get to an ask immediately, don't take it personally; I'm just a bit busy with other things.
-I'm bisexual, with a heavy, heavy male lean. I'm single too, but I'm not really taking any suggestions at this point. It'd be unfair for someone to show me their face and not have me show them mine. He/Him pronouns, too.
-This is also a Pokemon IRL blog. I only evolved recently, and I'm still getting used to being a Samurott. I'm currently learning about how to battle and act... y'know, like a Samurott. What does that mean, I don't know. But I'm trying my best!
-I like making stories. Like, a lot of stories. I have tons of characters, all of which are all available for asks.
-I'm a really dedicated memer. If it isn't about anything regarding plot development, don't expect it to be taken very seriously.
-I am a huge anime and VG fan. Current playthroughs/playlist of games(Reminder, I only have a Switch): The World Ends With You(Final Remix, the Switch release) Pokemon Scarlet Hollow Knight(I'm lost, please help) Rivals of Aether(Orcane main, Forsburn and Eliana secondaries) Super Smash Brothers Ultimate(I change mains every other week, honestly) Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 4(Kakashi, Obito and Minato main) Mario Kart 8 Deluxe(I'm a Dry Bones main, who would've thunk?) Brawlhalla(I'm a Mako main, and Ragnir and Onyx secondaries) Pokemon Unite(I main Alolan Ninetails, but I've been dabbling in Garchomp due to personal reasons you'll see in later posts) The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild(I'm lost, help me)
That's about it for me. I don't really involve myself in any political conversations, and I begin to feel uncomfortable when I have to talk about those kinds of topics with people. But, for those who want to know: Pro LGBTQ-whatever, obviously, but I don't pay attention to current events too much. I'm also not racist, if that had to be said.
If you're into the whole p3do or zoo thing, please leave. You genuinely need help, like, now. Oh, and bigots, racists, homophobes and all that jazz can get the boot, too. And I'll slam the door on your fingers on the way out.
I'd prefer if NSFW accounts didn't pay mind to this blog, as I'm trying to make sure that anyone can enjoy this place safely. I'm just want to make sure this place isn't the next Twitter.
As for my ask thingie, the reason why I even made this thing in the first place:
There are some obvious rules here that the public have to follow:
-No NSFW asks. A majority of my characters are children(About the same age as me), and I don't feel right putting them in such risque situations.
-If a character chooses not to answer a specific question. They might have some personal demons they need to fight before bringing up the topic, or they just might... not want to answer directly.
-I'm occasionally gonna be busy making updates to a character's story before I get to questions, so as mentioned before, answers won't be given out in a timely manner. I apologize in advance if there's any delays.
Here's some ask hints, I guess(Color-coded to associate the characters with the stories)*:
-Delta: Ask him about how he feels about Hertz or his living situation
-Hertz: Ask about his "academic" "performance", or why he decided to take Delta under his wing to begin with
-Jason: Ask him about his past experiences with Pokemon or something about Jayden, or something about his friends
-Jayden: Basically the same thing, or something about being the older sister of the family, or how she feels about Cheren and Bianca
-Cheren and Bianca: How they met Jason or Jayden in the first place
-Chris, or any member of his team(Stephanie, Wave, Lucas and David), for that matter: Try to get them to talk about their background or early childhoods
Smudge, Charles and/or Katie: Their hobbies, how they feel about each other, or how college is treating them
Trevor: His music career, and/or how he got into the music bandwagon in the first place, how his current job is going and stuff
Bryant: How he met Trevor, why they're friends, or their general connection
*Obviously, you can ask them anything, but these are some good starts if you don't know what to ask them.
Also, don't be afraid to ask me any questions, either, I won't bite. I'm just a dude tryin' to develop some social circles. Ask me about anything, really. Heck, you can even send anon asks, if you're too shy to show your face(Don't worry about it, I do the same thing all the time). If anything, I'd love to get some kind of advice with how to deal with evolution and all that stuff.
That aside, there are going to be tags on this post that can help you filter what and who you want to talk to, for both your sake and mine.
Now, without further ado...
Welcome to the show!
And I hope you enjoy your time here!

i didnt post anything about the pokemon 2019 finale (aside from accurately predicting it would make me cry a lot--my eyes started welling up right away and there were tears running down my face by the end) so here’s my thoughts
it only took until episode 2 for this to become my favorite pokemon series. i loved that gou’s goal was to catch every pokemon, since that’s something we’ve never seen from an anime protagonist, and it’s my favorite thing to do in the games
and plenty of other stuff made this series really fun. going to every region, bringing back old characters, the amazing soundtrack (shinji miyazaki had always done a really good job, but i think i’ve enjoyed yuki hayashi’s take on it more)
gou even caught my favorite pokemon, which is something i never expected to see happen because suicune is a legendary! he didn’t even catch any other legendaries aside from eternatus
sometime over the past year i realized that they must have made this series instead of a galar-centric one as a celebration of 25 years of the anime, but now i realize it’s more than that, it’s a celebration of everything ash’s been through over all that time, culminating in him getting the victory he’s always wanted as he leaves the spotlight
it’s a way of saying goodbye, and they did it in the best way possible. they could have had him suddenly decide to leave at the end of galar, but instead he gets to travel around to everywhere he’d been before, reuniting with almost all of his old friends (i think tracey, may, and max were the only ones left out? and he probably sees tracey off-camera when he visits home anyway)
and he participates in a worldwide championship, fighting against gym leaders and rivals new and old and earning himself a spot in a tournament filled with champions he’d met on his journeys, plus alan, ultimately surpassing them to become basically the strongest trainer in the world
they could have just spent a few episodes sending him off. but they took 136 to do it properly, and even threw in another 11-episode miniseries that really just feels like a bonus
my only complaint is ash greninja didn’t come back. like ash saw his greninja again, which was wonderful, but they didn’t do the bond phenomenon, which felt kind of anticlimactic and disappointing
anyway, i remember feeling really sad when xy&z ended, because that was my favorite series, but it took until the xy&z part of it to get that distinction, whereas this one was my favorite from practically the beginning
sun and moon was still good though, so the gen 9 anime might still be good. but after all this time jumping around to different regions, it’d feel almost boring to stay limited to paldea if that’s what they’re doing. if they have interesting enough characters they might be able to get around that though
and just like how xy&z was my favorite until pokemon 2019 came around, there could be some future series i like even more. who knows?
i’m also so sad to see gou leaving, but surely they can have someone show up again with a similar goal, right? like they did “girl who does contests” like 3 times and that’s something that isn’t even in every game (it wasn’t even in xy but they did it anyway). though i guess catching all the pokemon isn’t in any game anymore, but that didn’t stop them from making gou in the first place

Part of growing up and growing older is that sometimes you drift away from people you were once close to. It's natural. Best Friends doesn't necessarily mean you'll be in each other's lives forever.
But in a way, it does.
I moved to a new city when I was seven, at the start of summer. I didn't know anyone and I had no friends....but a neighbor boy saw me playing with a new toy outside and ran over because he had toys from the same show. We spent every day of that summer playing either at my house or across the street over at his.
He moved away within a year, but I still think fondly of him. I wonder if he still loves Zoids as much as he did as a kid. I wonder if he remembers playing with our Zoids on my trampoline.
I met my first childhood best friend when I was in third grade. We were almost inseparable. If I wasn't at his house on the weekends, he was at mine. During summer vacation I once spent an entire month at his house, only coming home to shower and change clothes and maybe grab some different toys or games to take over to his house.
He was my best friend for years, from before I was ten until after he turned sixteen and got a job. We still hung out, we still played games together. But not as often. He had a job. And a car. And now a girlfriend. I was so happy for him, even if I didn't get to see him as much.
Time passed and we naturally drifted apart. I became reclusive and focused on video games, he got into sports and weight lifting and going out driving around.
I used to see him around town every couple of years. We'd lock eyes and both our faces light up and we talk for 5-10 minutes and it's like all the years are washed away and we're those two little kids playing Pokemon Ruby and Pokemon Sapphire in my treehouse on our gameboys.
I haven't seen him in probably ten years, but every time I play a Pokemon game I name my rival after him.
He's not really in my life anymore, but the memory of him and all the time spent together lives on. He still influences me to this day. I still remember inside jokes we had and laugh and I think that he does too, probably.
Just because someone isn't in your life anymore doesn't mean they left, you know what I mean?

Sassy and brave for the ask game!
(sassy - do you have a rival? how would you describe your relationship with them?)
I've got two, actually! Back when I sorta tried to be an actual "trainer", I met this girl that was really into the occult. She has long, flowing black hair with a purple headband, large dark blue eyes that almost looked like she was hypnotized by something, and she wore a beautiful black dress. She's got a slight Kalos accent too. The first time we met she just kind of grabbed me by the hand, took me to the nearest field, and told me that "we're going to battle". After that, it was, well, even more unusual encounters. Every week from that point on, she just somehow appears in the general area of where I am, and every time she does something unusual before dragging me off to battle.
Her only two Pokémon are a Misdreavus and a Trevenant - the former of which eventually evolved into a Mismagius. I eventually got her to stop dragging me off to battle most of the time - but now she just appears randomly and takes me out to the strangest places. One time she took me to this old mansion at the base of Reversal Mountain because she "wanted to show me a ghost" - and that was probably the most romantic evening of my life.
She's really nice, actually. We're still rivals to this day - though we only battle, like, once a month now. She was REALLY surprised when I showed her Elder - because up until then, I only really had Aurora. Not sure if she wants me to share her name, so I'll keep it anonymous.
My other rival, however, probably definitely wants me to. Eliza, a co-worker of mine, and the self proclaimed "Queen of the Underworld". She's definitely has the whole Chuunibyou thing going on - she wears an eyepatch and a headband that has horns on it, and constantly yaps about her 【RED EYES OF JUDGEMENT】 and stuff (her eyes are brown).
Either way, our deal is that we race to see who can deliver their shift's worth of mail the fastest. (The score is 59-57. In my favour.)
I'd describe the relationships as "very good friends" and "goofy competitive" respectively.
Next up, (brave - any times where you or your pokemon stepped up to protect one another?)
I did answer this one just earlier, but I do have a load more stories about this! This one's rather short, though.
While on shift (and on the ground), I was confronted by a pair of Neo Plasma grunts, who wasted no time with the preamble and went straight to attacking me with two Eelektross, firing off two Electro Balls. Elder immediately stepped in, blocked them with their arms, before straight-up rolling over the both of them.
They stopped right in front of the grunts, whom immediately recalled their Pokémon and retreated.
Elder's amazing. Genuinely. Every time I tell him that he does this cool little pose with his hands spinning.
