summary: in which lieutenant commander bradshaw feels his girlfriend’s wrath after she gets her year end bonus and uncle sam takes a pretty penny out of it
a/n: listen….this is very self indulgent and that’s all i’m going to say. i literally wrote it this afternoon after…well i got fucked by the government in the form of taxes on my bonus. also yeah she’s kind of a brat in this one, but i think it’s a little deserved. rated t for language and suggestive comments 1.2k
It wasn’t often that you beat Bradley home from work, but sometimes on Fridays you would sneak out of the office at lunch and work the rest of the day from home. It typically put you in a good mood and gave you the opportunity to run a quick load of laundry or get started on an - admittedly - rudimentary dinner. Sometimes you’d even go for a dip in your building’s skyline pool.
But that afternoon, you were seething. Properly seething. And no amount of stress cleaning or tanning was going to make you feel any better. Maybe you just needed Bradley to fuck you six ways to Sunday later? Surely the serotonin from a couple orgasms could soothe this particular anger brewing inside of you.
As per every October, you had gotten your year end bonus with your paycheck earlier that day, which always inspired equal amounts of giddiness and angst within you.
The giddiness, of course, because who doesn’t love extra money? It was like found money twice a year. Sure, you worked extra hard for it, many late nights at the office, client site visits, and presentations over the last four years could attest to that. You were up in the air over whether you should add it to your brokerage account or splurge on something? Because again - you worked for it.
But then there was the angst.
The angst because you inevitably lost half of it to taxes. And this angst appeared like clockwork, twice a year, every year, for the last six years you’d been working at PwC. You knew this - it was inevitable.
Except, earlier that morning, you’d been at your desk reading the WSJ with your coffee and had seen a headline. A stupid, annoying headline that had made you purse your lips, realization dawning as you rushed to check your pay stub on workday.
Pentagon Refocuses Spending on Weapons to Deter China
As you read further, you saw that as part of the FY24 budget, the Pentagon was increasing the $30.6B defense budget a further 12% with a focus on missiles, rockets, and - yes - airplanes, specifically for the Air Force.
Uncle Sam was taking 35% of taxes out of your bonus for that? Fuck that.
So, when Bradley came by your apartment later that afternoon, freshly showered after a quick trip to the gym after work, you were steaming. And though it was not Bradley’s fault - not in the slightest - seeing him in that stupid(ly tight), grey, US Navy t-shirt only further contributed to your sour mood.
“Hey!” he called out, letting himself in with his key. You turned your head towards him and hummed, letting out a gruff hi. He toed off his sneakers and left them by the door before coming over to where you were laying on the couch, doom scrolling through Instagram, and pressed a quick kiss to your lips.
He frowned at your tepid response and you felt like a absolute bitch for a moment. “Hey, hey. What’s wrong?”
You briefly glanced at Bradley and then went back to staring - glaring - at your phone. “I’m just in a mood - tired.”
You could see him doing the mental math, trying to figure out if you were on your period, but that wasn’t until next week. “S’okay. We can just hang out and have an early -”
“- Crash any planes today?” the words slipped out before you could think better of it. Before he could even respond, you cut Bradley off. “What’s it matter anyway? They’ll just buy you new ones? Fuck the kids, I mean, they don’t need to eat school lunch? And the Postal Service can cut off Saturday delivery? Hmmmm maybe we should cut Social Security even more? Our infrastructure doesn’t need to be fixed, let’s just let our bridges and roads crumble! Fucking taxes bullshit.”
“Uhhh...”
You got up in a huff and started pacing, getting more and more worked up. “It’s not that I mind paying taxes - well, that’s not totally true. But like? Actually put them towards something that’s going to help people? Not just stupid rockets and missiles and fucking -”
“- Did you get your tax refund or something?”
Bradley was standing next to you, trying to put his hands on your shoulders in what would have been a calming motion had you not been acting completely crazy over eleven thousand dollars.
“It’s October?” you snapped.
“I don’t know?” Bradley shrugged his shoulders, getting a little worked up himself. “Rich people are weird? And your dad seems like he’d know how - nevermind.” You rolled your eyes. “What happened?”
Your shoulders sagged. Fuck, this wasn’t Bradley’s fault. It was that piece of shit House Majority Leader’s, who was so far up Lockheed Martin’s ass he could see -
“I got my year end bonus check today…” you grumbled.
Like you figured, a huge smile lit up Bradley’s face. “That’s amazing - or not?” he backtracked.
“I lost like 35% of it to taxes.”
“Ahhh.”
“And I saw this article in the Journal this morning about the new Pentagon budget and how they’re purchasing these new planes for the Air Force and it just - it’s dumb but it made me mad because I just wish my taxes went to the things that will actually benefit the average American?”
Bradley tucked your hair behind your ear and clucked your chin. “That’s a lot to put on your shoulders, kid…”
“Do you think I’m acting like a brat?” You knew you were, you were just curious if Bradley would say the same thing.
He made a face. “Well,” the word dragged out, “maybe a little…” You hung your head and leaned against his chest. “But it’s kind of valid, I’d be pretty pissed losing all that out to the Air Force, too. But the Navy’s different. They don’t just put anyone in the cockpit -”
“- Oh, really?” You peered up at him. “And how many planes have you crashed, Bradley?”
He pursed his lips. “Like on purpose or -”
You threw your hands up and groaned, eventually making your way over to your bar cart. “- Like on purpose he says! Bradley!”
There wasn’t any ice in the ice bucket, but you didn’t care. You needed something. Anything to take the edge off. You were too annoyed, too fussy - too bratty.
As you poured yourself - and Bradley - a drink, he came up behind you and wrapped his arms tightly around your waist.
“Sweetheart,” he cooed in your ear, “I promise you, I have only crashed three planes on purpose.”
Oh how you wanted to laugh. You leaned back against Bradley’s chest, fully ensconced in the smell of his soap and aftershave. “Hmmm, that’s $195M down the drain. Could’ve fed a lot of kids in Kern County with that money, repaved a lot of roads, too…”
He grabbed the drink you had poured for yourself and took a sip, hissing at the burn of the tequila. “I don’t know about the kids, but I can make it up to you.”
The glass was placed back on the bar cart with a clink and Bradley placed his right hand on your hip, while the left slipped underneath the waistband of your skirt and eventually your underwear. Your whole body sagged against him and you hated how keen you were for this - for him. Apparently you really had just needed to get fucked.
“Such a pretty girl…even if you are a bit of a brat sometimes,” he finished, nipping at your ear. “Hey, kid?” You hummed. “You know if I was an astronaut I would cost the US government even more money, you still sure you want me to go down that route?”
“Shut up and fuck me, rocketman.”
“Can do, hell I’ll even buy you dinner.”

All Saints Street Extra Comics Translations 1-3
Apologies for the delay! We are finally publishing translations for the All Saints Street manhua.
We will be uploading them on this drive for now and later upload to mangadex. I will have to ask you to NOT SHARE this drive PUBLICALLY, feel free to share it privately.
Example of what to do: sending the drive link to friends on discord.
Example of what not to do: posting the drive link to twitter.
We are going to start with some older extras that were never translated to get a good idea for a workflow and fix problems as they rise. After that we are going to prioritize translating chapters 486-500 (why? well, if you know you know) so we can also start working on simultaneous text translations for new chapter releases. What I mean by this is that as soon as a new chapter comes out, we can upload an english text translation alongside it, like the japanese translation team does now.
Here is an example with the bonus comics:
I am also hoping this will be a good accessibility feature. Likewise, I am releasing to the public the table I translated from the japanese group. It is a rough Work-In-Progress table, but for me it has been an invaluable whenever I have to look up a certain chapter. I even made a search engine to look up chapters by character appearance.
Meanwhile we will be going back and re-lettering chapters that have been translated by independent efforts and uploading them to Mangadex. We have obtained permission from both @saints-street-translated and @wan-sheng-jie for this! After that the translation will continue in two fronts: the comic translations from 501 onwards and releasing text translations for new comics.
Translating the whole manhua will be a looooong process. Right now, we have text translations for all extra comics, but the lettering has been going slow. That's why we are still open to more volunteers to join us for the role of cleaner/typesetter! You don't need qualifications or even software (we will get it for you cough), just time and a disposition to learn.
TL;DR
ASS manhua translation is resuming.
Older Extra comics will be translated first.
We will translate 486-500 ASAP.
We will release text translations for newer comics.
We will remake the translations for 405-485 to upload to MangaDex.
We need YOU to typeset the ASS comics into English!

"On Thursday, The Wall Street Journal published an opinion column by Dr. Roy Eappen, a former Conservative Party of Quebec candidate and member of the anti-trans organization Do No Harm. The column made an audacious claim: most transgender kids are not actually trans, and that being transgender is somehow a form of "conversion therapy" to turn gay kids trans. The article, which relies on disinformation about old studies and being transgender, peddles the widely debunked claim that "80% of transgender youth will desist from being trans" (the real number? 1-3%), and that allowing transgender people to transition "harms gay people." It even claims that "homophobia" leads to people pushing transition, despite transgender people experiencing significantly lower social acceptance than gay people."

"Eappen then suggests that the supposed act of being "transed" stems from homophobia, proposing that transgender individuals are essentially "just gay." However, conversations with many transgender individuals often tell a different story. One of the most frequent questions they encounter upon coming out is, "couldn't you have just been gay?""
That one is a common argument from transphobes who don't want others to see them as conservative, and it is always so incredibly divorced from material realty on basically every level, starting with the claim that being trans is something forced upon people by some nebulous external force, or even just homophobia.
Like, the average homophobe is also a transphobe and this is not a surprising fact that someone considering transition is likely to be unaware of. A decade ago many homophobes didn't even really see "gay" and "trans" as separate things to begin with.
The whole idea that people are transitioning because they're just gay and afraid of homophobia but blissfully unaware that transphobia exists or that the exact same people would still hate them for being trans (or even just think of them as some kind of high-level extra stage gay) is just completely dishonest.

Did you see the extras from volume 39? I read ruk’s translation of the imamura and am curious about it. Does it come off more as a cultural Japanese being-very-humble sort of thing ? Or is there something more going on under the surface that is worrisome?
It reads as not only super Japanese but super Horikoshi. Culturally, the west doesn't always talk about this sort of concept in the same way. What he's really talking about is how there is this ideal version of MHA that gets published when all people working on it come together and do their jobs. In the interest of the MHA final product, Horikoshi's editor is willing to take the heat for doing something that could be seen as inconsiderate of the other mangaka serialized in WSJ. Horikoshi is also being self-deprecating out of politeness to show how grateful he is for what his superiors occasionally do for his sake. He's also showing his gratitude to the fans by apologizing for any disappointment these changes may have caused them and for setting new, potentially lower expectations for us. A lot of these bits that are self-deprecating or show low self-esteem are very much Japanese cultural things.
I say it's super Horikoshi too because Horikoshi often behaves like something of a perfectionist. He does tend to apologize for not being basically a manga machine. The dude cranks out enviable quality and quantity each week all things considered. I'm pretty sure every mangaka on earth is jealous of what he accomplishes. But I'm sure in Horikoshi's mind, his efforts never quite achieve his most desired goal--to draw MHA the way he plans it from the outset. He speaks often of time constraints and physical limitations that prevent him from accomplishing everything he wants (which I imagine is 19 immaculately drawn pages each week). The thing is, other mangaka draw less detail because of these time constraints. Horikoshi's drawing goals are actually very lofty for the amount of detail he always puts in. What he manages to accomplish already is quite honestly insane. These goals and his implied level of perfectionism seem to be the root of a lot of his apologies, but I think he also is apologizing to himself for not getting to finish everything he wants to. And striving for perfection by trying your best is a big piece of the Japanese zeitgeist.
If your question is if we should be concerned about some hidden cry for help, I'd say no. Japan does have horrible work-life balance, and mangakas are notorious for such backbreaking schedules especially, but this is all the norm. Horikoshi speaks on these issues in no way that surprises me. I suspect Horikoshi doesn't often adjust his weekly drawing plans to what's feasible. He doesn't compromise. He's probably got the highest expectations for himself out of everyone. And he's likely been burnt out for quite a while now.
Also, the final line about not being fit for society reads like a joke. That whole bit about not causing trouble for others by meeting your deadlines is also very Japanese and collectivist. It's a normal collectivist society thing to not want to be a burden to others. Hell, just look at Izuku. You may read him as special for his heroism, but very much about Izuku reads more like the (ideal) Japanese everyman to whom readers are meant to relate.

Two On Ice Chapter 1: Reunion Spot
Wow. I'll say it one more time, wow. Of all the new series that have appeared in WSJ this year, I don't think it's an understatement to say that this is arguably the most promising first chapter bar none. Hell, even going into 2022 and earlier it would remain a standout. So lots to talk about. Lots and lots to talk about. But first, you should go read the chapter
So, let's start with the concept. Off the bat, incredibly great idea. Placing the kid that only ever had eyes for the top alongside the girl that was always forced to maintain her position at the top is such a great concept. It mixes the ideas of always looking forward vs always looking over your shoulder. The passion and desire to continue, vs the strain and requirements of holding your position. And that narrative begins with this loaded statement from our lead character Hayuma.
As a concept for a character driven story, it's a flawless chapter one approach, and is right at home with all the other accoutrements.
Take for example, the character design. It's sharp and detailed, almost blocky even. But all the characters are totally unique, even the way they get drawn is. They're all great with expressiveness, and off the bat the mangaka isn't afraid to play around with the character designs and introduce some chibi style to make the comedy pop.
But that's nothing compared to the most important piece in a manga like this: movement. And man, does it ever feel like it moves. The mangaka uses two "simple" tricks, but it makes all the difference in the world.
The first trick is to bend the rules of paneling. When you really want to convey motion, stretch the limits. Draw outside the lines to really sell the perspective on the scene. It works wonders when employed effectively like it is here. There's three instances of it as well. The duo breaking the panel edge with their legs, then the man's hand overlapping, and then the woman stretching 3 panels. All of it expresses just how fluid that movement is, that it can't be contained by lines or limits.
And number two, collages. Perhaps not the best choice in words, but allow me to explain. What do you feel from the above image? Obviously you grasp the intent behind the movement, but you don't actually see the woman get thrown up in the air. But still, you feel it. Why? Because of what the mangaka chooses to show you. A simple hand reaching upwards is enough to convey that motion, and readers perfectly grasp that.
Similarly, look at this example. We have Hayuma imposed atop the skating rink, as well as a single image of one of his legs. But yet, you perfectly grasp the intent and flow. He uses that leg to stop himself and turn into his triple axel, and you feel that intent so clearly.
I guess there's really three tricks, but I think this last one is something that mangaka should be aware of regardless, and that's blurring and linework. In both images, there's a lot of extra lines and hatching that speaks to the movement of the characters. Not just the lines on the ground/ice or even around them, but how the shading/hatching of the characters appear. The linework on the characters themselves bends towards the motion that they are doing. In this chapter it's largely spinning, so you'll see the hatching align with the rotation of the characters to help sell that movement.
I think the only thing I could speak on that could use improvement is just the choices in paneling. The dynamic feel is incredible, but some of the more "still" panels where characters are focused on talking can feel a little.... typical? Not at all in a bad way, but just sorta something that feels like what you'd expect.
It's something I really hope the mangaka will quickly grasp and improve upon, because some of their ideas have really incredible potential, like this panel. It's really good in its current state with how it uses distance and space, but it could be even better if it used the window frame as the frame for the panel itself. It's just simple stuff like that, where they have really great ideas through this first chapter, but just miss on going the extra mile to do something really incredible.
Anyways, easily the best first chapter in WSJ this year and, personally speaking, the best opening chapter in WSJ since Sakamoto Days. I'm really hoping that the follow up chapter can provide the same energy and excitement as this one, so I'm really looking forward to it!

if I had to articulate the problem with Bleach, it's that Bleach ultimately doesn't work well as a shōnen story centered around one dude (Ichigo). that structure works fine for like, Yu Yu Hakusho, because that follows Yusuke's small group pretty much exclusively; and it works fine for One Piece and Naruto, because Luffy and Naruto are just the foremost guys of many, many independent competing teams. but Ichigo becoming Soul Society's pointman who must Do All The Things™ every single time gets really old really fast, and reduces everyone else to supporting characters in a really lame way
this feels extra dumb because the adults are still having all the adult conversations and making all the big decisions and we just don't see it happening because we have to follow a teenager. so we're following a relatively clueless guy with little to no agency as he plays gofer for those around him. like, so don't make it about the teenager then? you can split up the POV character and the protagonist. Mad Max: Fury Road did this perfectly. it would still be lame to have Ichigo being the solution to every problem, but it'd be a lot less bad if he wasn't also the focus. and no, saying this is vital for J. J. Abrams mystery box reasons doesn't excuse it, the mysteries and their payoffs are simply never that good
and you know what? the teenagers are the least interesting part of the series. of course they are! because teenagers… are teenagers! the most interesting teenager in the world will never be as interesting as the most boring thousand-year old in the world. their main function in a story driven by and composed of adults is to question the values and premises the adults are operating on (also given most of WSJ's readership is adults, as this 2012 survey by Shueisha shows, and Bleach was mostly read by girls, "it's for boys" is not an excuse so miss me with that)
and like, yeah, it's a shōnen. I've been accused of wanting things to be a different genre before. well, duh! because they very clearly want to be a different genre themselves! why do you think Kubo ditched Karakura as a setting when he'd planned to highlight everyone in Ichigo's class by turn? why do you think he dipped to explore so many other characters in FKT and TYBW besides Ichigo and company? why do you think LSS was a weird horror plot? why do you think SAFWY and CFYOW don't feature Ichigo or any other mains at all? because he (and everyone else involved) was sick of it too! in One Piece, even though the story follows Luffy and the Straw Hats, you get the sense everyone else is maneuvering around in their own ways even if you don't see it. in Bleach, pretty much everything waits for Ichigo. and it honestly sucks
I'm obviously super-biased, but to be what it clearly wants to be by series' end, the premise of Bleach should've been a seinen focused upon the Urahara Shōten on one end, and the Captain's meetings on the other, intercutting between those as events unfolded and focusing far more on the lives and perspectives of the people actually making the calls, especially given, unlike oh say Mobile Suit Gundam, as is there is virtually no payoff in the form of how all this actually affected the child soldiers who are the "main characters"
just the wrong damn format for the story it wanted to become, sorry not sorry. if you wanna focus Ichigo & Co. and Rukia, keep the story small. if you wanna focus a big sprawling epic, deemphasize them. pick one. you're not Tolkien, Kubo, you can't do both, and you clearly wanted the latter (yet you're still frustratingly obsessed with both the format and "mystery", both of which you also suck at)

Official All Saints Street Nick/Lynn and Nini/Lily art from the FRZ fan page
I've mentioned the team battle events between the three sister webcomics under the FRZ umbrella, but there is also a Couples/Ship battle between all of them. And as you can guess, Nick/Lynn is the top WSJ ship and now a days gets second and or third place after more popular Fei Ren Zai ships.
This illustration comes from the 2019 contest where Nick/Lynn got 3rd place. Not an usual WSJ artist, so I am interested on who created this illustration. They might be an illustrator for FRZ or There are Beasts, so if you have any information, please send me a message!
These tiny illustrations were for the 2020 ship battle where Nick/Lynn got 4th place, Nini/Lily got 6th and surprisingly Ira/Wenwen got 9th!
So, you might notice I've posted these ones before, but that is because I got them from the twitter account with no context. This is the context: they are from the 2021 Ship battle where Nick/Lynn got 3rd and Nini/Lily got 4th.
Ok, so for 2022 or 2023 I can't find more ship battles. Guess they stopped hosting them. And as a bonus: Here are some Nick/Lynn and Nini/Lily illustrations for Christmas 2022. Again, would love to know who actually made this.
And as an extra extra bonus, and because we're on a NiLyn and NiLi kick: I found the highest resolution available for the Uniformed illustrations I was looking for. I would still kill for the physical postcards, but man am I glad I found them.

Pls say sike. No way iron might took priority over rei when he could’ve been in extra content for vol 40… I don’t get the hype it’s like star and stripe for me. Waited so long for rei like this vol has her moment as a mom/hero and nothing?
Well, at least she got her first own color art and it's on a cover - that's a big win in my book. (The real loser is poor Iida, who unlike Jirou, Tokoyami, Mina, etc. didn't get anything for his highlight moment)
Though, we still have no full Todo-family art... (which btw makes me hope we are getting back to them still in the endgame). The whole Todoroki family lined up like that, looking at Enji makes me feel that the ball is in his court. And that the story-beat I want to see from him may still come.
But yeah, the extras are a bit weird - they do look like Hori didn't have much time for them, so he just threw in whatever little drafts were lying around. (Which is understandable, because they made him work on the WSJ cover / color page the same time he was working on the volume).
I'm personally happy with the cover / title page / character intro. And my main priority would be anyways to see if there are any redraws / extra pages added to the Todo-chapters. Also it wouldn't be the first time the leakers forgot some of the extras, so let's wait two more days.

Flower Butterfly Fashion Series (2) - Give Me a Like
Gong Jun is here with his little fig counterpart, all dressed up in Louis Vuitton's signature brown canvas.
Following up on yesterday's first fig in this series, Lucky Cat, here we have Junjun giving us a thumbs up!
If you've been reading this blog, you know I love Louis Vuitton. That being said, I don't actually love their signature brown canvas. I've never liked it, and have never planned to own any of it. And yet here this fig is, all decked out in it, so I guess in some way I ended up with some of it after all, in the cutest way possible!
Unlike me though, Gong Jun loves this jacket a whole lot. And why shouldn't he? Frankly, if I was on a magazine cover in a high end designer jacket, looking as good as he looks, I'd love it too, no matter what it's relative fashion merits are or aren't.
Anyway, his studio staff got him the jacket as a gift for his birthday, and he was so adorably delighted by it, I couldn't help but love it for him! Let see some smiling birthday boy Junjun:
He's so cute, I can't even handle it. Junjun should get all the jackets! Every single one of them!
As a side note, this whole live stream for his birthday (2021) was just wonderful. I just adore it. Such a down to earth, cheerful stream! My friend likes to put on his live streams on the background sometimes (his dumpling-making one is her particular favorite!) to give her room some cheerful energy, and inspired by her, I started doing that when I'm cleaning up my office. It really does brighten everything up to putter around and hear the cadence of his voice and the smiles in it.
OK, a few more shots of him in this outfit before we move on to the fig!
A+ for the WSJ photographer, that's a gorgeous shot of Junjun's beautiful hands. I would know that bottom half of his face anywhere!
Yes, you know I like his foot kicked up like this! Just gives a shoot a little extra personality. This would be a super cute fig of it's own!
When I bought this fig, the translated name of it was Like the Dog. Which confused me. Obviously the puppy dog here is Junjun, but I was thinking, what is like the dog? The dog is like what? I didn't realize it was literally, give him a social media like. Well, that's not a problem, I'm always happy to give our Junjunie a thumbs up!
This pic is a bit overexposed (the light decided to pass by a cloud and pour into my window at this exact moment, bathing my fig in a glorious glow), but the benefit of this is you get a really excellent view of the detail on his shiny shoes. Also please note the detail on the palm of his hand. Super cute!
They did a good job on his fingers and hands (and yes, the thumb!) overall! The seaming on PVC molds always makes it a bit difficult for the fig makers, but this is well done.
I was wondering how the fig maker and the factory was going to address the LV Monogram, given that the print actually has a lot going on to render into tiny fig clothing form. Especially considering it's all over the jacket! I think they did a great job by picking one of the recognizable elements and sticking with that. Less busy for sure.
It looks good too. Nice and sharp, and actually very little areas of overlap. Quality work!
I love the little detail of the cuffs on his pants!
Super cute! The proportions on his outstretched arm are perfect, as is his little hand. This particular fig maker always does a nice job.
The little touches of the neckerchief and the orange bars on the jacket really give this fig's outfit a lot of interest.
I continue to say how impressed I am that fig makers manage to capture the essence of Junjun's hairstyles. He literally just has short hair, in different configurations of volume and arrangement of his bangs. Yet, they just pay attention to the smallest details of how a lock of hair falls on his face, and render it to fig form. Here's a crop of the inspiration pic so you can see hat I mean:
The photographer did a great job on this shoot - the shadows and light on this is beautiful.
This is a nice angle to see all the rosiness in his cheeks. Also, I feel a little awkward saying this, but I do like the detail of his zipper fly on his pants, the belt seaming, and the buttons on his shirt. Tailoring! I'm talking tailoring detail here, folks!!!
Not much to see here other than a blurry thumb and the locks of his hair falling down over his forehead.
I'm really grateful the fig maker put the name of this fig in English on the box cards and the box. Makes it so much easier on your linguistically challenged figthusiast friend over here!

Do you think we’re getting a Volume cover leak soon? I’ve been thinking of it leaking on the 4th of December every year ever since Vol.21, but I don’t know if it actually does, maybe just near the day?
we dont have a volume coming out in dec this year! iirc 37 is slated to drop feb of next year, very likely on the 4th as they always do.
as for the "leaks" themselves, most covers actually get posted via official accounts before leakers get to them, generally around a week-ish/a few days before they drop (there have been instances where they get leaked via wsj beforehand, but not all of them do). the actual contents of the volume, like the extras, are more often leaked than the covers themselves.

Could you share some of the BTS merch/ pcs that you own? If you feel ok? I personally cant afford much but loooove my friends getting cool kpop merch. So far I own Butter cream album and a Hobi pc, a dicon magazine and mots:7 with a Yoongi pcs (lucky me !! He is my bias!!) , And hope to be able to get Proof! Also congrats on getting poodle Tae!!!
hi! sorry it took me so long to answer this, i was contemplating how much to show, if at all. i shared a few photos recently of my collection, but didn’t show my pcs. i never wanna come off like i'm bragging about the stuff that i have because to be really transparent, i also don't have the kind of money to collect all the things i would like to. due to this, a LOT of the stuff that i have was gifted to me by a couple really amazing friends who have been more than generous with how they’ve helped me come to own some pretty valuable items. i’ll share a few of them with you and put them under the cut!
p.s. i’m gonna be referencing the images i shared in the linked post above so i can clarify what some of those items are.
so i’m not really an avid pc collector, which is why i don’t usually bother buying physical albums. i do LOVE having album photocards, but i just don’t have the money or space to buy multiple copies until i get my desired card(s) that i want to collect. i feel like i don’t need to say this, but i am obviously most interested in collecting taehyung cards, but am happy to have cards of any member of course.
the few albums that i have on the top shelf in the first photo in that post were all gifted to me without the photocards inside because my close friend, who is a pc trader and helps track down certain cards for me if she can, traded them for the cards inside herself and then let me have the albums. i don’t mind because i like the photobooks inside :’)
the bottom shelf in that photo is all stuff i bought myself! i haven’t been buying BTS merch for that long, so i usually save up and invest in the larger items like photobooks and dvds, so the photocards that came inside of those are my only genuine pulls. i’m still very new to that experience as i don’t get to do it very often.

here are the books i keep my cards in. the purple one is completely full of non-official pc freebies that i’ve been gifted or from etsy with my pin purchases, so i obviously have waaaay more of those.
the yellow book is what i keep my official cards in, so it’s not full at all. i’ve only filled the first few pages and it’ll probably take me ages to fill it since i don’t buy things often, like i said. but you can spot the ones that i pulled myself (i’ll mark them with an X in case you don’t know which ones attribute to the items i listed above) and the rest were all gifted to me by my friend who is an angel.
also on that bottom shelf are:

anyway these were allll very GENEROUS gifts except for the dicon pc set!!! i have to link images from this point because tumblr won’t let me add any more to this post.

my photo grid are just random freebies from friends except the picket (from PTD LA) and VIP lanyard (from PTD vegas). my pin board are all pins i’ve bought myself except the ot7 dynamite pin and the inner child carousel, which were gifts. obviously i like to collect tae + maknae line related pins.
the two prints in the same frame are from a cup sleeve event that my friend hosted for tae’s birthday last year. she sent me three prints that they hung up around the cafe and i stuck two of them into the same frame lol. she also gave me the banner on the back of the door for my birthday.
that’s pretty much it...i think i gave TMI about a lot of this stuff but i hope it was entertaining to learn about some of the stuff i have. again, i don’t take any of the stuff i have for granted and am so grateful to have the friends that i do who go out of their way to send me things that i otherwise wouldn’t be able to find or afford myself. it makes me feel very loved <3
