summary | xavier always make you nervous and when you're nervous, you turn invisble
pairing | xavier thorpe x fem!ghost!reader
warning | fluff, established relationship angst-ish to fluff

All your friends teased you whenever they saw you turn invisible whenever someone mentioned Xavier. The two of you were fairly new into your relationship and haven’t really told him about your abilities.
He knew that you were able to pass through hard matter objects, turn things invisible but not knowing you could turn yourself invisible.
It was never something you had control of since you were a child. It started when you were around 5, and your grandmother came over and your mother started to tell her an embarrassing story, and you just turned invisible right in front of them.
“Stop.” You reappeared in front of them. “It’s embarrassing, what is gonna think, “Oh sorry Xavi, everytime I wanna kiss you I turn invisible.”
“Exactly, see he’s right there, hey Xavier!” Your eyes wide, seeing him walking over to the table.
“Hi.” He slid into the stop next to you, wrapping an arm around your shoulder. You were trying hard to compose yourself, calming your heart.
“Xavier, Y/n was just telling us-”
“Shut up.” You sneered, you glared at them, sometimes you wondered when they knew to stop. “C’mon.”
Pulling Xavier up, your friends mocked kissing faces to each other.
“What was that about?” He tilted his head back towards their direction.
“They were just messing with me.” You sighed, knowing you needed to come clean to him. “I’m about to tell you something and please do not make fun of me for it.”
Xavier silently nodded, letting you continue.
“When I was a baby, I didn’t much control over my abilities and still really don’t to this day, but I swear it’s nothing weird and if is it, you can leave, leave this relationship, I totally understand if-”
You were starting to ramble and Xavier noticed, cupping your jaw with his hands, Xavier leaned down, pressing his lips to yours.
Letting out a gasp, your eyes were wide, your brain starting to function again when you kissed him.
Letting your eyes close, you wrapped your hands around his wrist.
Stepping away for a breath, Xavier pulled away, opening his eyes.
“What the fuck!” He gasped, Your eyes were wide, looking down not seeing your body. “Where did you go?”
“I’m here.” He could hear your voice but couldn’t see you, “That was what I was trying to tell you, I turn invisible when I get nervous.”
Xavier’s eyes were glued to the stop you were in, watching as you appeared right in front of him. “And I get nervous a lot when I’m around you, I’m sorry if that weirded you out.”
Still saying nothing, you started to feel embarrassed, “It’s fine, just I’ll go.”
“Wait!” Xavier hands wrapped around your wrist, spinning you back to face him. “It’s not weird, I think it’s kinda cute.”
“Really.” You melted into his touch, “I was so worried about telling you, I thought you were gonna get creeped out.
“I love it.” He smiled, “You’re like Casper.”
Your face dropped, pulling your hand from his, starting to walk away.
“Wait, I'm sorry.” He smiled running after you.
“Do not, ever compare to that.” You were trying not to laugh seeing the sullen puppy eyes. “I’m way better than him.”

Pairings: Xavier Thorpe x Fem!reader x Ajax Petropolus Summary: Xavier dresses up as Ghostface for your fantasy Warnings: SMUT. unprotected sex. P in V. swearing, degrading. slight knife play. oral (M and F receiving) threesome. slapping.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
it was late at night, glimpse of the moonlight shining in your dorm from your curtains while you laid in bed, just barely asleep. your dormmate caused a fight with you, ending up with her staying in her friends room. Xavier had called you an hour ago to say he wasn't able to come over to stay with you, his roommate got high and can't sleep. You didn't think too much about it, it was normal for that to happen, he would sneak into your room and you would sneak into his, it was like you lived together by the amount you spend curled up in each others arms at night, so you enjoyed your time alone.
You were dosing in and out of sleep, your vision was blurry and hearing was faint as your drifted off, so much so that you didn’t hear the loud boots coming up to your door and making their way into your room. It was eerie quite as a cold blade pressed to your skin, making you stir a little. Your body was now positioned to where you were laid on your back with your head turned in their direction, your white blanket falling off your body off your body, exposing him to the perfect view of your spread legs and lacy red panties, as if you knew this was going to be happening tonight.
The sight of your black laced panties that hugged low against your hips made him smirk behind his mask, he had never seen someone more angelic than you whilst drifting away into slumber. You were perfect in his eyes and he couldn’t wait to corrupt you in every way he could. He pressed the blade into your thigh, watching as it made a subtle, light indent on your skin. Trailing the blade higher, he slipped it under your panties, slightly cutting them, letting him have a full view of your perfect little pussy and the bit of wetness that shone in the moonlight. he groaned in his mask, anxious to run his hands along your body, touching you everywhere.
you felt the slight movement on your body, it tickled you a little bit but you shrugged it off, thinking it would be a little moth of a feather from your pillow that was tucked between your open legs.
A gloved hand travelled up your thigh, making your eyes flutter open at the contact that surely wasn't a fly or a feather's doing. Just as you were about to scream at the figure towering above you, the other hand pressed itself against your mouth,
“you make one fucking noise and I’ll make this so much worse for you.” he grunted above you
You nodded your head frantically against the hand before it was pulled away from your plump lips. You were a little scared until you noticed the Ghostface mask that hid the face. and you breathed a small sigh of relief. knowing there was only one person behind it.
“No, please don’t kill me Mr. Ghostface, I wanna be in the sequel,” you let out a giggle until you felt the blade gently pressed against your throat and you noticeably gulped.
He cocked his head to the side, the mask eye level with you as it stared back at you with the same expression as it was in the movie.. You searched for the deep green eyes that you knew all too well, but saw only black ones, hiding the true identity.
“don't you fucking laugh, bitch. Do you think this is a game?” The knife was pulled away and replaced with a hand.
The hand squeezed at your throat and you tried your hardest to act afraid even though you weren't scared in the slightest.
You were pulled closer to the mask forcefully, your face now inches away from it.
“I’m gonna fuck you so hard like the stupid little whore that you are. Then maybe, just maybe, depending on how good that pretty little pussy is for me, I’ll show you some mercy and spare your pathetic life, but I'm not promising anything.”
Slowly, you nodded your head along with him, biting your lip.
“Please, I-I’ll do anything you want, Ghostface, just don’t hurt me.” Never did you ever think that you would be begging for your life, even if it was just roleplaying but damn did you enjoy it.
He grabbed your chin lightly and ran his thumb over your cheek, making you with fake sympathy
“So desperate to live, are you? I wonder how far you’ll go for us” amusement laced on his tongue. but you shrugged off the mention of 'us', thinking it was just meant about Xavier and Ghostface combined.
He ran a hand through your hair before pulling at the roots making your head go back, gasping as you looked up at him.
“sit up.” You quickly followed his instructions, looking up at him with fake fear.
“I saw how wet that pussy was when you were just showing it off to the whole world to see,” he pushed your legs apart to expose your dripping wet pussy “go on, fuck yourself, slut.”
you weren't used to touching yourself in that way, you didn't do it much, or at all for that matter because you had someone who could do it for you, to you.
you reached down to touch yourself, dragging a finger along your folds, you stuck a finger in your core as he tilted his head at you. you gathered up the wetness and began rubbing your clit, resisting the urge to moan at the contact of your fingers.
You could feel yourself getting wetter and wetter as you rubbed yourself, small whimpers and whines leaving your mouth as you held onto your sheets tightly to gain control of yourself
You heard a chuckle from above you and you looked up at him, not stopping your hips grinding against your hand.
“Does it feel good, slut? does it feel good to rub that little clit?” When you didn’t answer, he placed the knife in his pocket and took his now free hand to slap your face, causing you to gasp. “I asked you a fucking question, bitch”
“Y-yes, it feels good”
the door opened and another Ghostface trailed in the room
"what a great sight to walk into" they chuckled, you furrowed your eyebrows and stopped teasing your clit in confusion
"did I tell you to stop" Xavier lifted the knife to your neck, grazing the skin
"who's that?" you asked
"now I think that defeats the purpose of the mask, doesn't it?" Xavier mocked.
he leaned down and lifted his mask to reveal only his mouth
"nervous now, huh?" he smirked "you think you'll be able to take both of us?"
you looked back at the other masked figure and licked your lips, nodding your head slowly at him as he trailed over to you at a slow pace
Xavier slipped on his boots and took his pants off, leaving him in his boxers as the other Ghostface sat on the bed beside you.
"we're gonna fuck you and you're gonna lie there and take it if you wanna make it through the night, alright slut?" Xavier spat at you.
He then took of the cloak and removed his boxers, positioning himself to your entrance.
he grabbed your hip with one hand and shoved his dick in your wet core that was aching for intimacy.
you hummed at the contact and rolled hips against him while the Ghostface beside you lifted his mask to show his lips which you immediately recognised by the amount of times you stared at them for hours on end as they were in front of you.
"Ajax" you smiled up at him as he leaned down to your face
"that's not my name" he said, pressing his lips against yours aggressively and placed his hands on your tits, giving them a sensual squeeze.
“you gonna cum like a good little slut that you are?” Xavier thrusted his cock further in your pussy, reaching places that have never been touched by another guy before.
when you didn't answer him he slapped you across the face when Ajax moved away to get his boots off
"I asked you a fucking question" he grunted
"I will, I will" you sobbed
"good" he huffed
Ajax smashed his lips back on yours, placing a delicate gloved hand on your cheek
you moaned against Ajax's mouth, letting him slip his tongue and stick it down your throat as he took his coat off, exposing his bare torso.
you ran your fingers along his chest as you made out with him. he took his hands off your tits and removed his black pants, taking his boxers along with them.
you looked to the side of you after disconnecting your lips.
you looked at his dick that leaked with pre cum and your mouth watered, you looked up at his half masked face and looked at him with pleading eyes.
"come on then" Xavier grunted, going out of you and turning you over on your stomach, lifted you on your knees as Ajax slipped beneath you and positioning himself.
Xavier entered you, placing his hands on your hips as he pounded into you harshly as you sunk you face down on Ajax's cock, kitty licking the tip.
he ran his fingers trough your hair and tugged it aggressively, making your mouth open widely.
he pushed your head down forcefully and thrusted his length to the back of your throat, making you gag.
you bobbed you head up and down his length while he thrusted his dick further down your throat with a hand holding the back of your head.
the feeling of two of your best friends cocks in you was heavenly. even if it was rough.
the room was filled with moans, grunts and squelching noises that tipped you over the edge.
"come on you fucking slut, you're better than this, I know you are, cum for us" Xavier murmured huskily
when you moaned at his words he slapped your ass before leaned over your back, his mouth grazing your earlobe as you sucked Ajax's cock.
he lifted the knife that was beside him and raised it to your throat.
"do you want to live or not? I. said. cum" his voice was hoarse like and deep.
That was enough for you to release with a loud moan that was muffled and vibrated Ajax's dick, he groaned as he came in your mouth, his warm juices shooting into your throat. you looked up at him as Xavier pulled out of you, letting himself cum on the back of your thighs as your own dripped out of your heat.
Ajax looked at you through the mask and grabbed your chin
You pulled your mouth away from his cock
"swallow" he demanded. he watched as you swallowed his cum, humming at the taste.
Once satisfied with you, Xavier pulled you up to face him and you noticed those soft lips that peaked out of the slightly lifted mask. you needed to kiss him.
you leaned forward to catch his lips on yours only for him to pull his mask back down to cover his while face before throwing you onto your back, next to Ajax who watched.
"n-no, I want to kiss you, please" you begged, you mouth slightly agape.
He scoffed at your whining, switching places with Ajax so he's next to you, looking down at you with his head tilted
“do you seriously think I would kiss you? I might of fucked you but I'm not your boyfriend, slut” His cock was grazing your swollen lips as his frame towered over your body.
he took off his glove, showing off his veiny hand.
He placed his thumb in your mouth and made you suck on it
You couldn’t help but rub your thighs together, trying to get friction that it now needed again so desperatley, but they were soon pulled apart by Ajax.
your head was pushed up to look at Xavier's masked face as you sucked on his finger. he lifted his mask to his nose and he bit his other glove off before pulling it down again, he lifted his free bare hand up to pinch your nipple, making a little squeal escape you mouth at the feeling
"such a slut aren't you?" he said sticking another finger in your wet mouth, the saliva drooling from the opening.
you gasped at the feeling of something wet ticking your slick folds, you glanced down to see Ajax's half covered face dug in your pussy. sticking his tongue in your hole
"Oh? Oh! oh fuck! Ajax!" you whipped your head to the side, Xavier's fingers leaved the bed they made in your mouth as you rolled your hips along with Ajax's tongue that swirled around your clit.
you felt a sharp pain on your folds and you hissed in pain, he bit you
"who the fuck is Ajax?" he growled
"I-I don't know" you stuttered tiredly
Xavier grabbed your hand, forcing you to stroke his erect cock.
"shut the fuck up, you're so whiney and moany" Xavier scoffed, pinching your nipple to get you to fist him faster, which you did.
you leaned up to his dick and tried to suck it only for him slap you across the face.
"you do what we do to you. you don't get to do what you want, are you always this needy?" he chuckled deeply through his mask.
He was close to cumming, and you were too, and you couldn't really tell but by how fast Ajax was rubbing himself with his free hand, he was close too, pumping himself so fast he let out a little moan.
he leaned up, spreading your legs wider before shoved his length in your pussy, pounding into you, the feeling of him hitting your g-spot instantly made you scream out in pleasure.
"I'm gonna stretch this pretty pussy so much. fit my dick like a puzzle piece." he grunted
"gonna let my kids swim around in there, huh? you like the sound of that? slut" you could tell he was still new to dirty talk, so Xavier must of given him pointers on it.
"how could you do this, let complete strangers into your dorm and fuck you like this just to keep yourself alive, what a fucking whore you are. so pathetic" Ajax huffed as you felt his dick twitch in you
"you like this, don't you? you like fucking any man that comes walking through that door like a slut don't you, if we're not that special why don't we just kill you right now?" Xavier questioned
"'m gonna cum, I'm s'close, Oh God, I'm gonna cum!" you moaned. letting your head fall back on the pillow.
Ajax reached to your tits and massaged them, leaned down to suck on the bud of your nipple and giving it a little nibble that had you cumming in seconds.
a mix of an orgasm and squirting came out of you.
your legs were shaking as you came on his dick that still pounded into you, stretching you out as he let himself release into you, making your toes curl at the warm sensation that made it's way to your stomach.
you looked over tiredly to see cum pumping out of Xavier tip.
"get the camera" Ajax demanded, making Xavier reach down to his cloak, pulling out a polaroid camera out of the large inside pocket.
he passed it to Ajax who lifted it up to his eye as snapped a shot of his dick inside you with your mixed juices leaking out of you and running along his veiny dick.
he took the photo from the slot, setting it beside him to take a photo of your hand on Xavier's cock.
he gave the photo to Xavier and slid out of you, flopping down beside you
“Smile for the camera,” you tried your best to smile, but he took the photo.
a picture of you in the middle of two Ghostface masks came out of the top, you looking fucked out and cock drunk.
Xavier got up on his elbow and it seemed as though he was looking at the boy to the other side of you
"what do you say, do we let her live?" he questioned
"I think we let this one go tonight. just barely though" Ajax responded hesitantly
"next time you won't be so lucky. and we won't be so soft"
you smiled lazily at the two boys as they put their clothes on and got ready to leave, taking the photos with them, leaving the last one on your nightstand.

“No, this isn’t right. Almost… no. Is her nose rounder or more pointy?”
You toss and turn as you hear your boyfriend’s mumbling.
“Oh, great, she moved,” you hear him sigh.
Your eyes flutter open, sleep weighing them down. You slowly reach your hands out from the warm blankets, rubbing your eyes before stretching. Your back pops and ankles crack as you extend your body over the bed, catching Xavier’s attention.
“Did I wake you?” he asks, worry evident in his voice.
“No, I was already waking up,” you shake your head. “But did I mess up your drawing?”
A light chuckle echos in his room. “No, you didn’t.”
“Oh, really? Because I heard you having some trouble finding out what shape my nose is. From how much you stare at my face, I would’ve assumed that you would know it by heart now,” you tease him, smiling as you stretch once more.
“You’re already so perfect in real life, I wanted to capture that in my drawing,” he states.
You let out a breathy laugh as you smile. You peek open your eyes to peer at him, seeing as his hair is pulled back into a half-pony tail. “You know the way to a girl’s heart, Xavier.”
“You know I try my best,” he quips. You close your eyes, turning onto your left side and cuddle the pillow. You hear Xavier move to the other side of the bed, sitting down beside your legs.
“Trying to get the right angle?” you hum. “Yep. Would you like to see what I have so far?” he asks.
“Sure,” you say, forcing your eyes to open. You sit up on your elbows, jaw becoming slack as you look at his drawing. “Xavi, this looks nothing like me.”
He furrows his brows. “What do you mean?”
“You must be drawing your other, more pretty girlfriend,” you snort, laying back down with a thump.
Xavier rolls his eyes. “Oh, come on. You know you’re gorgeous.”
“Not when I’ve just woken up,” you scoff.
He sets his drawing down on his desk, walking back to his bed. He sits down closer to your head, cupping your cheek. His thumb gently moves your face out from the pillows. You nuzzle into his warm touch, glancing up at him.
“You are so wrong, Y/n,” he says softly.
Your ears suddenly feel warm and you shy away, sinking into the bed. “You’re only saying that because I’m your girlfriend.”
“You have no idea how much I talked about you before we started dating,” he chuckles. “Enid and Ajax couldn’t stand being around me.”
You smile a little. “Oh, really?”
“Yep,” he grins. “Well, what did you tell them?” you inquire. “And make sure to tell me in full detail.”
“I’ll try. We wouldn’t want you to get a big head now, would we?” he teases.
You let out an exasperated sigh. “Get on with it.”
He smiles and leans in, his lips inches apart from yours. “For starters, I would say how pretty your eyes are and how cute your smile is. And I would compliment your makeup and how skillful and creative you are with it. How amusing it was to see that little smirk you get after correcting someone in class. I would say how nice your voice was to listen to, and how intimidating you seemed,” he explains.
“How am I intimidating?” you ask, a little smirk on your face. “Wouldn’t you like to know,” he remarks.
His other hand sneaks underneath his blankets, finding your bare thigh. You suck in a breath, watching his face in anticipation.
“I also used to say how great you looked in a button down.” his hand skims up higher, the pads of his fingers ghosting over your panties. “I would comment on your skirts nicely frame your ass. How sexy you look in your stockings.”
He presses his first finger over your clothed clit. You let out a little gasp, trying to regain your composure.
“You would say that to Enid and Ajax?” you raise your brow.
He shrugs lightly. “I said those things to myself instead.”
You hum in reply. “Anything else?”
“Just how you are the most beautiful, intelligent, creative, strong person I know,” he grins. You can’t help but smile with him as you see the outer corners of his eyes crinkle.
“You are so sweet, Xavi. Thank you for saying all those nice things about me.”
“Would you be open to me showing them to you?” he asks, his voice now low. He stares deeply into your eyes, making your heart drop to your feet.
“How would you do that?” you ask, playing dumb.
He doesn’t answer. He closes the gap between you two, kissing you softly. You pull your arms out from under the covers, reaching for his shoulders and neck. Your right hand cups the nape of his neck, your left hand burying your fingers into his soft and tangled hair. You sit up without breaking the kiss, you press your chest up against his. His hands grip your waist, fingertips sliding under his shirt that you’re wearing.
One of your hands drop to his thigh, reaching for his pants. He pulls away quickly, grabbing your hand and holding it away from him.
“Don’t even think about it,” he says. You frown in confusion, “why?”
“Lay down,” he commands. His eyes bore into yours and suddenly feel obligated to do anything he says.
You lay back down, watching as Xavier slips under the covers. He towers over you, one hand resting by your head while the other is playing with the bottom of your shirt.
“I told you I was gonna show you, didn’t I?” he asks.
You smile widely, nodding excitedly. “You indeed did.”
“Don’t worry about me then. This morning is about you,” he says.
“Luckily me,” you hum.
He shakes his head. “Lucky me.” he dives down and kisses you again, his warm hand slithering up your shirt. The pads of his fingers skim over your hardened nipple. You sigh in reply, eyes fluttering close as his kisses reach your neck. He sucks a bruise right below your ear.
“Mm, I better not have to cover this up with makeup,” you say.
“No promises,” he whispers, irrupting butterflies in your tummy. He lifts your shift up and you lift your arms up, helping him slip it off. He takes a look at your almost-naked figure. Your red panties are still on, hugging your hips perfectly. He sucks in a breath and smiles, something he does every time he sees a part of you, or all of you. He never fails to do it, and it never fails to make you feel special.
“Lucky me,” he mumbles to himself, taking in your beauty.
“Xavier,” you whine. Although you love the attention, you’re a little too horny than you’d care to admit. You need him.
“What, pretty girl?” he asks, his eyes flipping to yours. “Don’t just sit there. Do something,” you answer.
He chuckles, “you are so needy in the morning, you know that?”
You shrug, “you’re fault.” “Oh, is that so?” he cocks his right brow.
You grab his hand that’s on your boob, bringing it down to your panties so he can feel the small wet patch. His dick strains against his pajama pants.
“See? You’re fault,” you say. “I feel so bad,” he says, voice dripping with sarcasm. “Guess I should do something about it.”
You roll your eyes as he keeps playing games. If he didn’t love seeing you struggle and beg, he would already have his head between your thighs. But seeing you whine and huff is equally as rewarding than making you come.
“Please, Xavier. We don’t have long until we have to go to class,” you beg, pulling at his shirt.
“Well, since you said please,” he hums. He brings his head down to your boobs, putting his mouth on one as his hand encompasses the other. You sigh lightly, resting your hands on his shoulders. His tongue flicks your nipple, rolling the other between his thumb and third finger.
Need grows in your tummy. You buck your hips up, meeting his thigh that’s between your legs. Your voice shakes as moan, lifting your hips up again. Your clit rubs against his thigh, almost giving you the satisfaction you crave.
“So needy,” Xavier mumbles against your skin.
You reply by grabbing at his shirt, your fingers hooking around the waistband of his pants. “Want you, Xavier. Need you,” you breathe out.
You watch as his cheeks become rosy. You smile to yourself, your hands slithering under his shirt and running over his chest.
He begins to kiss down your chest, not being able to take it anymore. If there’s one thing he wants most in this moment, it would be to make you shake and scream him name.
“You are so perfect,” he hums against your skin. He places passionate but feverish kisses across your body, hands grabbing at your thighs and ass. You look down at him, not being able to contain a smile as he covers your whole body with his love. He kisses your hip, sucking softly on the skin near your pussy. He’s so close, you can almost feel his tongue on your clit.
You push your hips up to his face, his nose bumping into your thigh.
“Patience, princess,” he mumbles, his hot breath fanning over your skin. Your underwear dampens and he chuckled as the wet spot grows darker. He hooks his fingers onto your underwear, pulling them off painfully slow. It feels like a million years as you watch him drag them down to your feet. He discards them onto the floor, settling himself between your thighs.
He starts to nibble on the inner corner of your legs. You huff impatiently, tangling your fingers in his hair and trying to move him to where you want him. But he’s stronger than you. One of his hands takes yours, pinning it to the bed. Wet kisses line your legs. He sucks down on one of the most sensitive parts of your inner thighs, making you jolt.
“Please, Xavier. Please,” you gasp. “Please what, pretty?” he asks, his eyes meeting yours.
You groan internally. He looks so sexy between your thighs. Those big, innocent green eyes staring up at you. His pupils are blown and you can see your own reflection.
“If you don’t tell me what you want, I can’t give it to you,” he hums.
“Eat me out, please,” you moan pathetically. You feel his cheekbones raise against your skin as he smiles.
You watch as his mouth attaches to your clit. Your head lulls back in relief and pleasure. You feel his tongue flick your clit, rubbing circles against the throbbing bud. He brings his mouth down to your slit, slipping his tongue into your hole. He swirls his tongue, shaking his head from side to side.
His tongue lips a stripe up your pussy and lands back onto your clit. He sucks softly but firmly, taking the hand that isn’t holding yours and slowly inserting two fingers into your pussy. Your lips gush liquids, making a little puddle on his bedsheets. He begins to move his fingers inside of you, his tongue lapping around your clit.
“Fuu-uck, Xavier. Just like that, yeah, ju-just like that,” you praise, your hand gripping his hair. His pony tail falls out from your fingers and moving his head. His hair falls onto your skin, tickling you slightly.
You let out a breathy giggle. It gets swallowed up by a moan as he adds another finger. You spread your thighs, your muscles clenching his fingers. Your moans get louder, egging Xavier on. His lips suck on your skin as his tongue licks up and down your clit. His fingers move inside of you faster, more of your juices spilling out around his fingers. The only sounds in the room are your moans, your pussy, and his panting.
“Xavier, baby. I-I’m close,” you stammer. Your thighs enclose around his face. You begin to ride his tongue, your nails digging into the back of his neck. He lets go of your hand that he’s holding, gripping onto your thigh. He holds your leg close to his cheek, wanting - no needing - to be engulfed by your scent and taste. His fingers dig into your skin as his hand that’s fingering you begins to move faster.
“Ah, ah, ah!” you pant, your chest puffing up and down. Your tummy tightens and you feel like your bladders about to let lose. Your body comes to a stop, all the muscles in your body tightening. You come so hard, the hand that’s on his bed almost rips the sheets off.
He watches your face as you unravel, feeling his own underwear become wet with pre-cum. You’re so beautiful. The way your head is titled back, your mouth wide open. He loves the way your eyes are screwed shut in pleasure. He can’t help but smile, not being able to stop admiring you.
“Fuck, fuck, fuck,” you ramble. He slows his movements, stopping his fingers but keeping his tongue moving.
“Ohmygod, fuck. Xavier, please,” you begin to pull away from him, the stimulation almost painful.
He stops, sitting up on his knees. He sucks his fingers dry, running his other hand through his hair. He looks down at the puddle you made, a prideful smirk taking over his features.
“Someone was really wet,” he says. “Your fault,” you say.
“I guess it was,” he chuckles. He dives his head back down, kissing your calves all the way up to your face. You bask in his love, your body tingling in each place he kisses. He holds your sides gently, his hands snaking to the small of your back. He kisses you sweetly. You can taste yourself, your tongue running across his bottom lip to capture the tanginess.
“That feel good, gorgeous?” he asks against your lips. “So good,” you breathe out.
“I think we should start every morning off like that, yeah?” he suggests
“I’ll be exhausted every day, then,” you chuckle. He shrugs, one of his hands moving to the underside of your boob. “As long as you’re exhausted from me.”
“Oh, shut up,” you snort, rolling your eyes and pushing him away lightly.
“You would love that, too,” he smirks.
You shake your head with a big smile on your face. “You wish.”

summary: you and xavier had been best friends since you were 7, and nothing could change that - that is until you start to develop a new power that makes you question everything you think (or rather, what everyone else thinks)
═══ -ˋˏ *.·:·.⟐.·:·.* ˎˊ- ═══
Normies usually strayed away from adopting outcast kids. They just didn’t know how to appropriately handle their slightly more complex needs.
Unfortunately for your adopted mothers, the realisation that you, their child, possessed psychic abilities hit at around the 5-year mark when they walked into your nursery and discovered that all of your bears were floating around the room, performing beautiful and elaborate ariel tricks. At first, they jumped to the conclusion that they were being haunted. In some ways, they wished that were the case. Ghosts could be exorcised, but a child who could undo a childproof lock (or five) to get into the cabinet where the candy was kept within mere seconds wasn’t easily fixed with a call to the local priest.
So, as soon as they could, they would ship you off to outcast summer camps and school programs. It's not that they didn’t love you; they just didn’t know how to help you manoeuvre your powers.
Naturally, you resented this for a lot of your childhood. You couldn’t understand why your adopted siblings got all the time with your moms while you were sent away. Fortunately, as you matured, you grew to understand it and accept that what they were doing was for your benefit as much as theirs. Your moms were doing this to help you learn more about your powers from others who shared them, not punish you for having them.
Of course, understanding and accepting the decisions didn’t exactly make the feeling of abandonment go away, but it was enough to subdue and push it down for some therapist in 20 years to pull out and deal with.
There were some plus sides to being sent away so often, one of which being the best friend you had made on day one of the very first outcast summer camp you had been sent to when you were 7 years old.
You and Xavier Thorpe got along like a log cabin on fire, which is coincidentally what almost got the pair of you kicked out of that summer camp on your first week.
Xavier was sent away by his father while he was on tour. Touring the world would be far too stressful for a child; at least, that was the excuse that was given whenever anyone questioned where Xavier was.
Both of you being sent to Nevermore Academy was inevitable. Under the promise of not burning it down, together, you had fixed up the old shed so Xavier could use it as an art studio. You had occupied one of the corners where the two of you had set up a desk where you could work on your writing.
Together, you spent most of your free time tucked away like that, talking about anything and everything as you individually let your artistic creativity fill your individual pages. You would only stop talking when you demanded silence so you could focus, which would last about 10 minutes before the two of you got distracted and started talking about something else.
You were about 6 minutes into one of these silent periods when Xavier slowly stepped back from his canvas and inched towards your corner. Engrossed in your work, you didn’t notice he was in front of you until he spoke up.
“You’ve got some paint on your nose,” He pointed out. You closed your laptop instinctively; you had never liked sharing your writing with anyone, not even Xavier.
You looked up at him in confusion as you hadn’t touched any of the paint scattered around the studio that day. “Really?” You asked, crossing your eyes to try and look at your nose. “Are you sure? I don’t feel-” You were cut off by Xavier swiping his thumb over your nose and smearing some paint on it.
“Yeah, I’m sure,” He laughed, trying to step back as you made a grab for his arm. You just about caught his sleeve and used it as leverage to pull him down and wipe your nose clean with it.
“You are such an ass!” You groaned, trying to hide the laughter that threatened to bubble up. It was the third time that week he’d gotten you with that trick.
“Speaking of ass,” Xavier grabbed his own chair to sit opposite you at your desk.
“I have a great one?” You grinned, trying to use a tissue to wipe the remaining paint residue from your face. “Thank you, I know!” You froze when you could have sworn you had heard Xavier respond with a quiet ‘true’ but shook it off as your mind playing tricks as you hadn’t actually seen his lips move.
“That is not what I was going to say,” Xavier playfully rolled his eyes. “Speaking of ass, have you done Mr Cooper’s homework?”
“Are you suggesting Mr Cooper is an ass, or that he has a great ass? I mean, I’ve never looked myself, but I respect the-” You yelped out as your leg received a kick from under the desk. You pouted dramatically as he shook his head at you, but you cast your mind back to your chemistry class the day before. You hadn’t been paying much attention as it was the final class on a Friday, and you were just excited to sleep past 6am the following day. “Did he assign homework?”
“I’ll take that as a no; you haven’t done it,” Xavier grabbed his rucksack, which you had been using as a footrest. “Though I already knew that because I picked up your sheet when you left it on the desk.” He pulled the worksheet out and waved it in front of your face.
“This is such bullshit!” You groaned as you plucked it from his grip and scanned the questions. “He never assigns homework!”
“I think the words you’re looking for are ‘Thank you, Xavier! You are such a good friend!’” Xavier teased, doing his best impression of you… His best was awful.
“A good friend would have just done the assignment for me,” You sighed dramatically, putting the sheet down on the desk and pushing it back towards him.
“You mean the way I do half of your other assignments for you?” He pointed out. You had mastered one another's handwriting years ago and often took turns in doing one another’s assignments depending on who was better at the subject or who could bribe the other better.
“Yeah, half of them!” You fired back. “That only makes you half of a good friend, an okay friend, if you will!” Your friendship was built on this sort of playful teasing.
“Well, as an okay friend, do you want to work on this together after dinner?” He asked, checking the time on his phone. “Which started like 5 minutes ago.”
“Shit!” You exclaimed, shooting up from your chair and shoving your laptop in your bag. “Come on! Get your butt in gear, or all the good food will be gone!” You frantically urged, walking around the desk to tug at Xavier’s arm to get him up and going.
“I’m coming!” He laughed back, getting up intentionally slowly. “Just give me a minute or two to pack up all my stuff. Save me a tray!” With a distressed groan that echoed through the shed, you let go of his arm and walked off, mumbling something along the lines of ‘snooze, you lose’ as you went. Xavier laughed and checked the time again one last time before he stuffed his phone back in his pocket, knowing that dinner wouldn’t actually be ready for another hour and preparing for the hellfire that you would rain down on him when you realised he’d tricked you again.
═══ -ˋˏ *.·:·.⟐.·:·.* ˎˊ- ═══
Studying sucked. That was something you had acknowledged a long time ago. But studying while you had a bad case of hiccups was so much worse. Especially when the hiccups caused your powers to go absolutely wild; with each hiccup, the pen you were holding flew out of your hand and launched itself to a new corner of the room.
At first, Xavier thought it was an elaborate plot to get him to do your work again as revenge for the dinner incident. However, when your pen launched out of your hand and stabbed the door, he realised you weren’t joking around.
With a grunt of frustration, you got up to retrieve the pen once again, mumbling a ‘sorry’ to the door as you pulled it out from the wood.
“What did that poor door ever do to you to deserve such a vicious stabbing?” Xavier joked, trying to lighten up your tense mood.
“Don’t tell me you forgot about the time it smacked me on the ass on the way out!” You gave the door an accusatory glare. “Which it still hasn’t apologised for.”
“How could I forget?” He groaned, recalling the situation in great detail. He’d talked himself into a corner when he’d tried to defend the door by saying that your ass just got in the way and then couldn’t figure out if it would be more offensive to say that your butt was big or backtrack and say that it wasn’t big at all. In the end, he realised he was losing that conversation no matter what he said and just accepted the consequences. “You know, that is the second conversation today that has ended up on your ass.”
You couldn’t contain the laughter at the phrasing, which caused your hiccups to match the energy, and the pen flew from your hand and into the ceiling.
“Oooookay! I think that’s enough pen time for you, or I’m going to be accused of practising archery in my room again,” Xavier laughed nervously as you, still in fits of giggles, stumbled back over to the spare bed in his room that you had basically taken over as your own. It had your favourite blanket draped over it and some of your pillows from home.
“Your hiccups are just like you,” Xavier pointed out, jumping up to get the pen out of the ceiling before it caused any structural damage. He was tall, so it didn’t take much to reach it.
“Oh yeah?” You asked, your laughter finally starting to calm down. “How's that?”
“Violent and cute,” He shook his head with a smile, but you just froze, unsure if you had heard him right.
“What was that?” You asked.
“Violent,” He repeated, dropping the pen onto his desk.
“No, no,” You shook your head, questioning your own sanity a little. He didn’t have that teasing tone in his voice he usually did. “The second thing.”
“I only said one thing?” He looked at you in confusion. “Are you feeling okay?” As if on queue, you hiccuped again, and a pillow went flying across the room, narrowly avoiding hitting him in the face.
“Never better,” You mumbled, laying back on the bed. You really could have sworn you had heard him say that the hiccups and you, by extension, were cute. It was quieter than he usually spoke, but you could have sworn it in his voice.
Even though you joked around a lot, he wouldn’t lie to you about saying or not saying something if you asked. So maybe it had just been in your head? It was a weird thing for your head to make up.
“Are you staying here again tonight?” Xavier asked, snapping you out of your spiralling thoughts. “We can watch a movie and finish off those cookies from last night?”
“I hate to be the bearer of bad news,” You smiled sheepishly, glancing over at the trash can by his desk to see the empty packet still there, evidence of your crime. “But I ate the rest of those cookies while you were asleep last night.”
“I know. I woke up and saw you at the end of my bed, hunched over like a little gremlin, shoving them into your mouth three at a time. I thought you were a sleep paralysis demon for a good few seconds. I wanted to record it, but you were like a wild animal, and I didn’t want to startle you by grabbing my phone,” A second pillow flew across the room and hit him in the face that time. Unlike the last, this one was intentionally flung at him. Laughing, he paid no mind to it and reached over the side of his bed and pulled something out from underneath. “I bought two packs and hid one from you- wait, are these open?”
“I may or may not have found those ones while you were in the shower,” You got up and flopped down onto his bed next to him, grabbing both of your pillows to lean on. “I didn’t eat them all, though! I won’t lie; I would have, but you came back before I could.” Rolling his eyes, Xavier reached under his pillow and pulled something else out.
“I bought the third pack,” He admitted, placing them down on the bed in between the two of you. “Hey, your hiccups are gone!” You were about to cheer when another hiccup bubbled up out of nowhere, sending the open pack of cookies flying everywhere.
“Well….” You looked around at the crumbs that scattered the once relatively clean room. “Shit.”
═══ -ˋˏ *.·:·.⟐.·:·.* ˎˊ- ═══
You woke up groggily to your name being called out in a hushed whisper. When you opened your eyes, you realised it was still nighttime. Yawning, you pushed off the sheets you had been sleeping under and made your way over to Xavier’s bed.
It was a routine you knew all too well by that point. Part of you questioned why you even bothered sleeping in the spare bed in the first place. Almost every time you would sleep over in his room, you would fall asleep in the spare bed only to be woken up by Xavier after a couple of hours, usually because he’d had a nightmare. He didn’t ever want to talk about it, and you didn’t ask. He’d tell you about them when they were really bad, but he preferred to sketch them out.
Xavier was holding the covers up, and you crawled under them, bringing your arms to your chest using his arm as a pillow. He brought the covers down again over you both, and you closed your tired eyes once again.
That was how you usually slept in the same bed. You didn’t usually ‘cuddle’ when you slept like this. Your arms and legs always kept to themselves, with the exclusion of Xavier’s left arm, which you usually used as a pillow. However, this time, Xavier brought his spare arm over you and held you close to him. Instinctively, you moved one of your arms to wrap around him in return. It was a wordless sign to say that you were okay with this. You could have sworn you had heard a hum of contentment from him, but you passed it off as the start of a snore. Xavier always fell asleep fast, and his light snoring was comforting.
You chalked the change in behaviour up to a particularly bad dream and decided that you wouldn’t bring it up in the morning. Instead, you would just enjoy the added warmth for the night.
═══ -ˋˏ *.·:·.⟐.·:·.* ˎˊ- ═══
“Enid, my sweet, your tag is sticking out,” You jogged ahead to catch up with Enid’s impossibly fast walking. “C’mere!” Enid stopped and took a step back so you could tuck the tag of her sweater back in.
“Thank you!” She cheered and held her arm out. “Walk and talk?” With a laugh, you linked arms with Enid and started walking together. “I’m so glad you’re here because I was supposed to be shopping with Yoko, but then Divina showed up, and I was totally third wheeling, so I left them to it.”
“Are they actually dating yet, or are they both too scared to make the first move?” You asked, causing Enid to laugh.
“They’re still dodging around the question,” She sighed playfully. “Reminds me of you and Xavier.”
“What?” You stopped, pulling Enid to a halt with you.
“I said they’re still dodging around the question,” She repeated.
“No, no,” You shook your head. “The other thing you said!”
“That was all I said?” Enid looked ask confused as you felt inside. “Are you feeling okay?” Instead of pushing things and questioning them further, you took a deep breath and shook it off. Enid was a terrible liar. You had probably just mistaken the wind for words or something.
“I’m fine. Everything is fine,” You smiled and shrugged. Together, you continued to walk.
“Did you have a fight with Xavier or something?” Enid asked. Glancing at her from the corner of your eye, you shook your head with a frown, wondering how she’d come to that conclusion. “He was pouting at breakfast today, and you’re here without him.” Realisation dawned on you, and you laughed.
“He wasn’t pouting!- No, actually, that’s a lie. He was pouting a little bit, but only because he felt sorry for himself,” You explained. “I mistook him for my alarm clock this morning and tried to hit the snooze button, which in this case happened to be his mouth, and now his lip is a bit swollen. I’m here to get an apology gift and some numbing gel.” You reached into your pocket and pulled out the numbing gel you had just picked up from the pharmacy and a bar of chocolate. You had technically bought 3 bars of chocolate, but you had already given in and eaten 2 of them, and the last one was on thin ice.
“How did he get into your room?” Enid asked. “If I remember correctly, which I know I do, your windows have enchanted locks on because he kept sneaking into your room last term.”
You snorted as you remembered how many times Xavier’s tall figure had been caught trying to climb through your window. Or, more accurately, how many times he had gotten stuck trying to climb through your window, and you had to call for help to get him unstuck.
“I was in his room,” You explained with a shrug. “He’s got a spare bed, and I love Yoko, but goddamn, does the girl snore like a chainsaw. Plus, she wakes up at 6am every morning and starts playing her ‘meditation’ music. I usually stay with him on the weekends because it's the only decent sleep I get! I swear I’ve told you all of this before?”
“The Yoko part you have definitely complained about to me on multiple occasions,” Enid confirmed. “But how am I only just learning that you have weekly sleepovers with your ‘best friend’.” She used her free hand to put air quotes around the last two words.
“Why are you saying it like that?” You asked. “He is my best friend? You know I love you, Wednesday, and Thing, but Xavier and I have been ride or die since we were seven. He earnt the best friend title way before I knew any of you.”
“Just admit you both like one another,” Enid groaned, causing you to stop walking again, halting her.
“What are you on about?” You interrogated. “We like one another as friends.”
“I said nothing!” Enid protested, her face easily portraying the confusion she felt. You were about to protest again, but Enid spoke before she could. “No, Y/N, I literally said nothing! Whatever you think you heard, it wasn’t me! Maybe your mind is telling you what you want it to hear?”
“Absolutely not! I heard you! It was your voice!” Your phone started ringing before the conversation could progress any further. You didn’t have to check the contact before answering it. You had set a personalised ringtone for him. “Xavi, I’m on my way back now, I swear! I have the gel and a-” You stopped yourself before you mentioned the chocolate. Truthfully, you knew it would never even get back to Nevermore. “I have the gel!” You repeated.
“I will start this movie without you and then spoil all of it,” He threatened playfully.
“Don’t you dare!” You gasped, but he’d already hung up. When you looked back up at Enid, expecting to continue the conversation you had been having, you recognised the look on her face as her signature ‘I’m telling everyone’ smile. “What?”
“Xavi?” She teased. “Really?” “Drop it, and I’ll split the chocolate with you,” You bargained, pulling the sweet snack out of your pocket again and waving it around. Enid simply responded by holding her arm out so you could carry on walking together and her other hand ready to receive her share of chocolate.
═══ -ˋˏ *.·:·.⟐.·:·.* ˎˊ- ═══
“This show has gone to shit,” You groaned, sinking down into the sheets in disappointment.
“What?” Xavier pulled his head away from the screen to watch your movements instead. “You used to love it. It was all you’d talk about.”
“I did love it!” You agreed with a sigh. “But then they had to add all that forced romance in, and there are like 7 different love triangles that all interlock- it’s a pyramid scheme of love!”
“A pyramid scheme of love?” He laughed at your phrasing. “God, could you imagine the dm’s you’d get from people you’ve only spoken to once who had joined that?”
“Hey, girlboss! Long time no speak!” You put on your best bubbly voice as you spoke, replicating one of your moms’ friends who had been pulled into 8 different pyramid schemes. “Are you tired of settling down the old-fashioned way with one person? I was too! But insert a name of a multi-level marketing scheme here helped me take control of my love life!”
“Please never do that voice again,” Xavier pleaded through laughter.
“I think I gave myself a headache doing that,” You snorted, bringing your hand up to your head. It was a fruitless endeavour as you pulled them away again immediately. “Urgh, my hands are too warm. C’mere, you always have cold hands.” You grabbed one of his hands and held it up to your forehead, leaning against it.
“I always have cold hands?” Despite his verbal confusion, he didn’t protest about you using him as a cold pack. “Is that… a good thing?”
“On this occasion, yes,” You smiled contently, closing your eyes. “During the colder months, not so much.”
“If we held hands more, it would warm them up,” You almost didn’t catch his words.
“You wanna hold hands more?” You asked, confused. Admittedly, you already held hands probably more than most friends did, but that was because you had a tendency to get lost in crowds. It was hand-holding, or one of those leash backpacks parents used on their kids, but Xavier shut that down as soon as you jokingly suggested it.
“How did you-?” Xavier pulled his hand away from you with a frown. You pouted at the lack of contact and opened your eyes again. He paused to look at you, searching for an answer in your eyes, but he gave up as soon as he’d started and just shook his head. “Sorry, I didn’t think I said that out loud.”
“We can hold hands more,” You shrugged, smiling at him. “Come on, let's try and get a couple more episodes of this nauseating shitfest in before I have to go back to my own room.”
Xavier perked up at that, leaning over to press play on the next episode.
“I’m calling it now; there will be an unexpected kiss by the end of this episode,” You sighed, leaning your head on Xavier’s shoulder as your eyes settled back on the screen.
“If we’re placing bets, it’ll be between those two,” He added, pointing at the pairing on the screen. You really could have sworn you had heard him say ‘between us?’ just before the actual words left his lips. But you knew for a fact this time that he hadn’t, as the words slightly overlapped, and, as far as you knew, Xavier wasn’t secretly a talented ventriloquist. Though you supposed if you did know that, it wouldn’t be a secret.
Instead, you brushed it off as your tired mind playing tricks on you. Weird tricks for a weird mind.
═══ -ˋˏ *.·:·.⟐.·:·.* ˎˊ- ═══
Four more days.
That’s how long it took you to realise what was going on. Or rather, what you thought was going on. You had to test your theory out, and you knew the perfect person to help.
“Enter,” Wednesday’s voice instructed before you even had a chance to knock on her door. Without questioning how she’d know you were there, you opened the door and closed it behind you once you were in Wednesday’s shared room with Enid.
“I need your help testing a theory,” You pleaded, leaning against the door. “I feel like I’m going crazy- and not the good kind.”
“There’s a bad kind?” Wednesday’s tone barely changed, but you knew her well enough to know she was teasing you in her own way. “I’m intrigued; go on.”
“I think I can read minds,” You confessed with a groan. “Not all the time; I think I can only do it if I’m purposely seeking them out or if the thoughts are… loud.”
“I imagine there are some people who have very loud thoughts,” Wednesday glanced over at Enid’s side of the room.
“Exactly!” You nodded. “And I wanted to test with you because I know I won’t just be reading your body language and facial expressions for clues.”
“What number am I thinking now?” Wednesday asked, turning her head away from you to look at her desk. Closing your eyes, you tried to push for the connection that you had felt when you accidentally used this possible new power on Ajax just a few minutes beforehand. He had been moping around, and you wanted to know why. It turns out he’d stoned himself again and had missed all of his morning classes, and subsequently got in trouble for being ‘careless’. He was banned from visiting Jericho for two weeks.
When you had sympathised with his struggles and offered to buy him some snacks when you next visited Jericho, he’d looked at you like you had grown a second head which had started speaking Latin. He asked how you had known he was banned. After some confusion and back and forth, you made up some lie about overhearing one of the teachers say something about it and excused yourself.
“37,” You announced confidently to Wednesday as soon as you had felt the connection be made and heard your friend’s monotone voice. It seemed fitting that even her internal monologue was as dry as she was when speaking. “Which US state am I thinking of?”
“Trick question,” You answered proudly. “You’re thinking about Poland, which, unless I missed a memo, isn’t a US state.”
“Very good,” Wednesday didn’t seem the slightest bit surprised that you had gotten it right. “Final one, what line from which of Edgar Allan Poe’s works am I thinking of?” She asked.
“But evil things, in robes of sorrow, assailed the monarch's high estate,” You echoed the exact line out loud. “From The Haunted Palace.”
“I think that settles it,” Wednesday confirmed. You opened your eyes to see her turning around to face you again. “Considering I didn’t say a single word out loud throughout that. Not even the questions.” Wednesday’s mouth was pressed firmly closed, though you could still hear her perfectly clearly.
With a small gasp, you intentionally severed the connection and stopped reading her mind.
“Okay, you can think freely again,” You informed Wednesday. “Thank you for helping me test that.” The door you were leaning on was suddenly pulled open, and you only just managed to catch your footing before you had the chance to fall into Enid.
“Y/N!” Enid instinctively held out her arms, just in case you did still fall. “Why are you here? Are you planning a surprise birthday party for me?”
“Enid, your birthday isn’t for another 9 months,” You shook your head with a smile. “Why would we be planning a surprise party now?”
“Because if you do it too close to the time, I would get suspicious when you were sneaking around making arrangements! But if you start now, by the time I’m thinking of it, the party will have been fully planned!” Enid explained cheerily. “I didn’t realise I’d said the party thing out loud? I hope I didn’t ruin the surprise!”
“You didn’t say it out loud,” Wednesday told her. “Y/N can read minds.”
“That’s why you were being weird with Ajax!” Enid immediately pulled out her phone, but you grabbed it out of her hands. “Hey!”
“Please, please, please don’t say anything to anyone yet!” You pleaded. “I need to talk to people first. I need to talk to the teachers. I don’t want people to think I’m going around snooping in on all of their thoughts. That’s not how it works.”
“How exactly does it work?” Enid asked as you wearily handed her back her phone. You didn’t entirely trust Enid not to at least tell Ajax… and then Yoko… and Divina since she would ‘just hear it anyway’ from Yoko…
“I mean, I don’t know exactly how it works, but from what has happened so far, I need to be talking to someone and wanting to know what they’re thinking. So when I spoke to Ajax earlier, I wanted to know why he was upset, and I guess I accidentally made that brain connection thing happen without realising what it was,” You explained, trying to properly make sense of it yourself and using actual words to describe what happened. “And sometimes people just have one-off loud thoughts that I hear? Some more than others….” Realisation dawned on Enid when she heard the last sentence.
“Well, I’m sorry if my thoughts are too ‘loud’ for you,” She huffed, using air quotes around the word ‘loud’. “I can’t control the volume of my own mind.”
“I know. I’m sorry, I didn’t mean it that way,” You apologised. “But I can’t control what I hear either, at least not yet.”
“Has Xavier thought loudly about how in love with you he is yet?” Enid asked.
“Xavier isn’t in love with me….” You protested but trailed off as you recalled some of the things that you had thought you had heard Xavier say over the past week, only to now realise that some of them may have been thoughts.
“Oops, did I think that one too loudly as well?” Enid smiled slyly, pointing at you. “Wednesday, look at her face. I asked if she’d overheard Xavier thinking about how in love with her he is.”
“I gathered that,” Wednesday mumbled, wanting nothing to do with the whole ‘love’ ordeal.
You remembered the other night when you had talked about there being an unexpected kiss, and you thought he’d said ‘between us?’ over the words he actually did say. It had been a few nights, and you couldn’t remember the tone he’d said- or rather, thought it in. Was he confused? Hopeful? You raked through your brain but couldn’t remember any of the details for the life of you.
And the comment about hand-holding? That was just in a friendly way, friendly hand-holding. You had held hands as friends before, multiple times, you were usually the one to initiate it, and it wasn’t like you were in love with him. You weren’t in love with him at all, right?
Right?
Shit.
Shit. Shit. Shit.
You were. You absolutely were. Whether intentionally or not, you had never allowed yourself to think about it, always pushed the thoughts and feelings down before anything could become of them. Always pulled the weeds up, leaving the roots, not realising the roots were just growing and growing under the surface until one day, your whole garden was full of weeds. Except instead of weeds, they were possible unrequited feelings towards your best friend that threatened to ruin everything you had built up over the years you had known one another.
“I need to go,” You excused yourself and pushed past Enid to get to the door, ignoring whatever she was saying in the process. It would have been some sing-song ‘I told you so’, but your mind was too cluttered to pay attention.
You had to find Xavier and talk to him as soon as possible.
It hadn’t taken long to find him. You knew where he’d be. You always knew where he’d be.
You didn’t knock before letting yourself into the shed; you never had to. It was your shared space.
“Y/N! Are you okay?” Xavier looked at you in concern as you sunk against the door as you closed it behind you. “You look-”
“Xavi, I need you to please be quiet and let me talk at you for a bit because I need to say something now before I mess up the words in my head,” You interrupted him before he could finish. With a small nod, he had agreed. His mouth remained shut while you pulled away from the door and paced back and forth. “I’m just going to cut right to the chase here. I have somehow picked up the power to read minds. I hadn’t done it on purpose until like five minutes ago when Wednesday let me test it on her, and then I came straight to you because you have the right to know because you’re my best friend, and we talk all the time, and sometimes I accidentally hear people’s random thoughts because some thoughts are just really loud and some people have a lot of loud thoughts, like Enid, so I just hear them more, and I’m not saying that you have loud thoughts like that, but I think that maybe sometimes you do, which isn’t a bad thing but I wanted you to be aware so-” You had rambled so much that you hadn’t even noticed that Xavier had crossed the room until he had stopped your frantic pacing and held your face in his hands, squishing your cheeks together in what you assumed was a successful attempt and politely shutting you up.
“Deep breaths and calm down, yeah?” He said it so softly that it worked almost instantly. You hadn’t realised quite how fast your heart had been beating and how heavy your breath had become until he’d stopped and helped slow it down.
You weren’t sure what exactly had caused it, whether it was the fast-talking where one word flew into the next, or the flood of emotions that had hit you, or the fear of how he’d react to it all in the end, or just a mixture of it all. No matter what it was, Xavier had successfully calmed you down.
“Dare I ask which of my thoughts were particularly… loud?” Xavier asked, his hands still cradling your face.
“There were only a few?” You replied uneasily. You thought back, trying to differentiate between everything. It was hard when she didn’t realise what they were when they happened. “There was the… hand holding? I think that was one… and, uh…. you called me violent and… cute?”
“Could be worse!” Xavier breathed a sigh of relief. “Could have accidentally admitted I’m in love with you.” One look at your face was all it took for him to realise what he’d done. You stood there, wide eyes staring at one another, each almost daring the other to make a move.
Xavier broke first.
“That was a loud thought, wasn’t it?” He asked, already knowing the answer.
“It sure was,” You whispered, your hands coming up to take his own away from your face. Dejection crossed his face for a split second but was erased immediately when you just held his hands instead, cradling them against your chest. You broke eye contact, deciding that looking at the ground made talking easier because you didn’t have to worry about analysing every change in his expression to find the answers.
“Was it…. Truthful? Or did you think it jokingly?” You ask hesitantly, worried about the response it would elicit. Truly, you didn’t know if your heart could take it being a joke.
If the lack of response had worried you, when he pulled his hands away it all but shattered you. However, as soon as the pieces of you had been shattered, it was like Xavier scooped them all up again when he reached for your face and pulled you into a kiss.
It wasn’t a soft and gentle kiss. It was clumsy, frantic, and full of emotion and confusion. It wasn’t perfect, but it didn’t have to be, because it was with him.
You returned the kiss as soon as your brain allowed itself to switch back on and be present in the moment. Your arms wrapped around the back of his neck, holding him to you as though you were worried he would change his mind and back away again.
It was over all too soon for your liking, the two of you having no choice but to pull away to gasp in the air again. Xavier’s head ducked down, and he nestled his face into your neck. His breath tickled you as he spoke.
“It scares me how truthful it was,” He admitted, planting a small kiss on your collarbone. “I think I’ve known it for a while, but I didn’t want to risk you not feeling the same way.” He pulled away very suddenly to look at your face again. “Wait, you do feel the same way, right?”
You answered him this time by initiating the kiss yourself. This one was slower, the raw emotions you had both been feeling now having settled as a pleasant buzz in the air as the reality of the situation became clear.
You were two idiot best friends who had been in love with one another for longer than either of you could fathom.
You had always known you’d spend the future together, but now, you could spend your future together.
A/N - so I set out to write what I assumed would be a 2k-ish one-shot... then I think I blacked out and woke up foaming at the mouth 6k words later... if there are any accidental pov/tense changes, please let me know! I wrote this in third person, then decided I wanted it to be second person 5k words in so I went back and edited the whole thing which was a pain in the ass and I had to stop myself from rewriting it a third time in first person
feel free to suggest some more one-shots! I can't promise I'll get to them all, but watching Wednesday has filled me with inspiration and motivation to write! *cough cough* I'd be a sucker for a bianca x reader request *cough cough*
and lemme know if you'd like to be added to a taglist for future wednesday one shots <3

Despite Wednesday’s reputation, there were very few people she classified as true enemies.
Sure, she despised the general population of Nevermore, but since she and Bianca had cultivated something akin to a friendship, there wasn’t anyone specific that haunted her thoughts during the day.
However, Xavier Thorpe was quickly shaping up to be the new target of her antagonism.
She and Xavier had a somewhat complicated relationship. Their issues from her first semester had been largely smoothed over since she took an arrow for him and he gifted her that dreaded iPhone in return. They weren’t exactly friends, but there was no animosity between them.
His feelings for her seemed to pass as well, something Wednesday was eternally grateful for. Unfortunately, it seemed that the new recipient of these romantic feelings was you. And that was completely unacceptable.
She despised the way he insisted on sitting near the both of you during classes to try and impress you with his abilities or tell you terrible jokes in the middle of lectures.
And there were few things that angered her more than seeing him put his arm around you during conversation or ghosting his hand on your back while walking in the hallways.
She wasn’t jealous. No, jealousy had nothing to do with it. In fact, she found the situation laughable, hilarious even. That Xavier, the blank canvas of a man that he was, thought he could take what was hers.
And sure, your relationship wasn’t exactly public. Neither of you was screaming from the rooftops about your feelings because you both preferred to keep your relations private, but it wasn’t as if you were actively hiding it either. Your immediate group of shared friends knew.
Enid, Wednesday had told personally. Only because she wanted the werewolf to know to give the two of you privacy whenever Wednesday brought you to her dorm.
Bianca pieced it together herself, a fact that irritated Wednesday almost as much as the smirk Bianca gave her whenever the two of you walked into fencing class together. Yoko and Divina figured your relationship out because they got, what Enid rather vaguely referred to as, a vibe. Ajax remained blissfully unaware but he was never a threat.
Even other students appeared to cautiously avoid flirting with you in any capacity once they noticed your closeness with Wednesday.
(This carefulness may have also been cultivated by the way Wednesday glared at anyone that got too close for her liking, but that was entirely beside the point.)
The entirety of Nevermore understood that you were spoken for, and she enjoyed that greatly.
But Xavier didn’t appear to comprehend that.
So she would have to take it upon herself to educate him.
-
The quad was quieter than usual.
It wasn’t completely silent. The chatter of a few dozen students melded together, casting a thin blanket of noise over the small space. But it was nowhere near as rambunctious as it normally was on a Friday afternoon. Which meant that it was easy for Wednesday to find you amongst the commotion.
You were sitting at one of the tables on the far side of the quad, pen in hand while you seemingly worked on homework. Your blazer was tied around your waist, fully exposing the vest underneath.
The sky had been covered by clouds all day, but the clouds were beginning to dissipate in places, allowing rays of light to shine through. One of these places happened to be right above your table, clouds parting to envelope you in a halo of light that could fool anyone into thinking you were an angel sent down from the heavens above.
You looked divine. And the only thing stopping Wednesday from stopping and fully appreciating the sight before her was the person seated beside you.
Xavier.
He looked to be helping you with your work. But Wednesday knew better. He was sitting close enough that your thighs were nearly touching, his lanky frame nearly swallowing you whole when he leaned over to look at your textbook. Every time you looked away to write something down, his eyes would trail down the side of your face in a way that absolutely enraged Wednesday.
What drove her over the edge was his decision to grab your hand.
She was marching over to your table within seconds, her gaze absolutely murderous. A few students in her path instantly fled when they saw her expression, but she paid them no mind, focusing solely on how Xavier’s face fell when you pulled your hand out of his grasp. The sight was just enough to stop her from attempting murder, but not enough to deter her entirely.
You were the first to notice her. The way your eyes lit up at the sight of her gave her an unpleasant fuzzy feeling that she loved despised.
“Hi, Wen,” you greeted, giving her one of the warm smiles reserved for her. Wednesday’s glare softened considerably as her eyes moved from Xavier to you.
“Hello, mon cher.”
“I wasn’t expecting to see you until later. Is everything ok?”
The concern in your voice was touching, a reminder of how sweet you were even in less-than-desirable circumstances. But she had other matters to attend to right now.
“Yes. What are you doing?” The question was directed towards you, but her eyes were on Xavier, her fiery gaze boring into him. He squirmed. You didn’t notice.
“Just English homework,” you sighed. Wednesday’s eyes flitted back to you, momentarily drifting to your lips before righting themselves.
“Bring it to my dorm. I can assist you with it myself.”
Xavier started to protest but another glare was enough to quiet him. You looked confused by the sudden change in plans but acquiesced.
“Oh, ok. Let me get my stuff.”
You stood and reached for your textbook only to be stopped by Wednesday.
“Allow me.”
Wednesday began gathering your things for you and in the process, she discreetly leaned over to Xavier and delivered her message, her voice a soft but petrifying whisper.
“Lay your hand on her again and I will remove it. Finger by finger.”
Xavier’s eyes widened with terror, his only response a harsh gulp. Wednesday nearly smiled.
Without another glance in his direction, she stood with your textbook and dragged you off to her dorm. You tried to ask what was going on several times, but she remained silent until she reached her destination.
Once inside her empty dorm, she dropped your things off on her desk and sauntered back to where you were, stopping just in front of you. Your faces were mere inches apart and her eyes wandered back downward against her will.
You began to ask her something, but she cut you off by leaning forward and connecting your lips. A noise of surprise escaped you before you reciprocated, hands instinctively cupping her cheeks. Wednesday tangled one hand into your vest and gripped your tie with the other, lightly tugging you closer. You stayed pressed against one another until you stepped back, slightly dazed.
“What about-“
“Your homework can wait,” Wednesday mumbled, silencing you with her lips once more. She kissed you once, feverish and rough, then again and again and again, until there wasn’t a coherent thought left in your head. Her movements were frenzied—desperate even, and you were helpless to do anything but follow her lead with the same fervor.
When you finally parted for air, she whispered something into the small space between you. Something you didn’t understand, but still wholeheartedly felt.
“Eres mia, mi amor.”

Tumblr media
You hated Xavier Thorpe. There was no other way to put it.
In your mind he was arrogant, annoying, and stupidly attractive.
You hadn't always hated him though, your first day at Nevermore he gave you a tour of the school and you were even friends with him. But then over break, he just ignored you. Didn't text you, call you, he ghosted you completely.
Even when you got back to school he ignored you. It was like you were the plague to him.
And then he did start talking to you again. In a way. You became rivals, academic rivals. Always competing over the answer. Honestly your fellow peers and teachers were getting sick of your bickering.
But you couldn't help it, you hated him and you needed to prove that you were better than him.
You got your serial studies exams back today. And you were more than confident that you would get a better score than Xavier.
Looking down at the paper Mr Grimrose had given you, you smiled at the score
100%
You looked over to see Xavier not smiling at his paper and your smile grew.
He glanced over at you and if looks could kill, you would be dead. You pouted at him dragging a finger down your cheek in a mocking way telling him to cry about it.
He rolled his eyes before the bell went off. And he practically stormed out of the room.
'You have got to give it a rest' Enid said walking up behind you
'No way, he's a douchebag'
'It doesn't matter if he is Y/N, you should just talk it out with him'
'Or you can just gouge his eyes out' Wednesday said coming around from behind Enid.
'Thank you, somebody who's trying to help' you said gesturing towards Wednesday.
Enid rolled her eyes
'I'm sorry Cara Mia but he has been a bitch to Y/N' Wednesday said turning to Enid.
Wednesday knew that the nickname would make Enid smile. It always did.
You rolled your eyes smiling at the two before walking out the classroom, being stopped by Mr Grimrose.
'Miss L/N'
'Yes Mr Grimrose?'
'I need you to give this to Mr Thorpe. I gave him the wrong test by accident'
'Mr Grimrose why don't you ask Enid or Bianca to give it to him?'
'Because I'm asking you Y/N'
Mr Grimrose is normally your favourite teacher. With his interesting Owl like face and bird like legs and feet. his small rounded glasses and always wearing a fancy button up with a vest over top.
you groaned taking the paper before walking out the classroom, heading towards Xaviers dorm.
Knocking on the door a bit too hard, you took a step back waiting for Xavier to open the door.
You were met with Ajax instead, him giving you a quizzical look
'You seriously cannot have smoked all the weed I gave you already'
'No of course not I'm not that bad'
'What're you doing here then'
'Can you give this to Xavier' you asked him shoving the test towards him.
'Oooh damn I really would but I have to help Wednesday get Enid a birthday present' He said before slamming the door
Enids birthday was in February. Its July.
You sighed, knowing where Xavier would be. Where you and him had gone to smoke weed many times. Where you would listen to music together and talk about whatever rumours were going around.
Don't cry.
Making your way to the stupid shed, you didnt even knock before stepping in. There he was. The stupid boy that had made you cry countless times. Listening to music about to uncover a canvas, before noticing you.
taking out an earbud he faced you directly narrowing his eyes at you.
'What are you doing here'
'Grimrose told me to give you this' you said slamming down the test on the stool next to him. He glanced down at it smiling
99%
'You still didn't beat me you know' you said snarkly
'God everything has got to be a competition with you'
'Oh that is rich coming from you Xavier' you spat not looking at his face. 'Like you don't rub it in my face when you get a higher score than me' You continued
He didn't respond, opting to sigh annoyedly
'You just can't take it when somebody is better than you Y/N'
'Excuse me?'
'You heard what i said, you can't take it when somebody is better than you'
'You are not better than me Xavier, you are nowhere near better than me, you stopped responding to me, you started glaring at me in the hallways, you started showing off your test answers'
He didn't speak, you had to egg him on, get some sort of response
'Why'd you do it?'
'Because'
'That's not an answer'
'Because I couldn't handle my feelings'
'What?'
'I couldn't handle falling in love with you'
You stared at him. He's not really confessing his love for you is he? You looked at his face, no indication he was lying.
Yes it was true that you as well had a crush on him, you told him during one of your highs that you were crushing on him. You were on facetime with him, talking about anything and everything and then you ruined everything.
'You know, I've been crushing on you for like, ever'
That was right before he ghosted you. Those ten words ruined your friendship. But now you suppose it wasn't
Your eyes were tearing up, too many emotions were filling you, hate, sadness, love, anger
before you knew it, tears were streaming down your face. And he wiped them away.
There was your Xavier. Your sweet, kind, handsome Xavier.
You looked up at him, noticing the look of sadness that had washed over his face.
He leant down, gripping your jaw softly in his hand,
His lips were on yours
His lips were on yours.
It soon turned to an erratic make out, him backing you into the desk against the wall, him lifting you onto the desk, wrapping his arms around your waist loosely
Your arms wrapped around his neck as you deepened the kiss. he was stood between your legs and it was almost amusing how he still had to crane his neck so much to be able to kiss you.
'Yo Xavier I got some good stuff just begging to be-'
You broke apart at the voice, Ajax standing there, a bag of rolled joints in his hand, his mouth agape.
He pulled out his phone before you and Xavier could move from the position you were in, snapping a photo. Your eyes widened, about to yell at him before he ran back out the door.
Xavier's head turned back to you. Smiling dopily at you, he leant back down reconnecting your lips.
after a while you both parted, panting heavily.
'So what are you painting?' you asked him softly.
he smiled nervously
'its nothing really' he said
you smiled devilishly, hopping off the bench before he could pull you back and went over to the covered painting.
you pulled back the black sheet to see a painting.
of you
your mouth dropped open, as he walked over, scratching the back of his neck, a nervous habit.
'I thought you mainly painted your dreams?'
'You are in my dreams'.

The Nevermore murders | Ghostface!Xavier Thorpe x Addams!Reader
Tumblr media
Summary: Shortly after the Addams twins make their arrival at Nevermore Academy, a series of gruesome murders among the student body begins. As bodies pile up, Wednesday gets into investigating and gets to the conclusion that the victims all have one thing in common: they are members of the Nevermore Academy's secret society.
What if the killer was among the members of the Nightshade society?
Word count: 8.4k
Warnings: This fic has smut, blood, violence, murders, knife play and more. If that’s not your thing, do not read it.
A/N: Xavier will be a little ooc in this for the plot’s sake
I want to say a special thank you to @lightofdawnxo who helped me get to the end of this fic
An early riser of Nevermore Academy stumbled upon a gruesome display in the quad on Monday morning. The body of Yoko Tanaka was found hooked to one of the branches of the tree.
Principal Weems felt disturbed by the brutality of the act. Whoever had done this must be a total lunatic.
According to the books, vampires are immortal, but by the amount of blood that was spilled into the fountain — likely caused by a stab in her heart —, Yoko was dead.
When you descended from your dorm, everyone was crowding the entrance of the quad. The unusual scene drew your attention. You tried to see above the crowd, but all you could make out was yellow ribbons and Jericho police officers.
‘’Did somebody die?’’ you asked in your typical dark humor.
The girl beside you turned her head in your direction, looking as if she had seen a ghost. ‘’Haven’t you heard? Yoko was murdered.’’
*
Before Nevermore could grieve their classmate, another body was found.
The whole student body was at the harvest festival when a scream was heard in the woods: Bianca Barclay's. At her feet laid the dead body of her fellow siren and close friend, Kent. His throat was sliced and blood was gushing out while his wide eyes were staring right back at her.
She crouched down and touched his arm — the body was still warm.
The crunch of a tree branch snapping under a foot put Bianca into alert mode. ‘’Hello?’’ she called into the dark woods, checking one of the most cliché — and dumb — things one says in a horror movie.
She looked around as her hands trembled, terrified Kent’s killer was still there. He had talked to her half an hour ago, right before going to meet his Grindr date. Whoever did this couldn’t be far.
The leaves rustled and twigs snapped as someone approached Bianca from behind.
‘’Bianca! I heard a scream—’’ Divina cut herself off with a scream of her own, seeing Kent on the ground just as Bianca caught a masked figure between trees.
*
The next day during breakfast, Kent’s name was on everyone’s lips.
‘’It’s the second death in the span of a week,’’ Ajax pointed out, stabbing a piece of pancake from his plate.
‘’Murder,’’ Xavier corrected, taking a seat beside you. Since it was the weekend, his uniform was replaced by a darker hoodie and regular tee shirt. ‘’Yoko had a knife in her heart and Kent’s throat was slit. They were murdered.’’
Before you, Enid gulped and pushed her half empty plate away, no longer hungry. Yoko was one of her great friends. The imaginative visual of her hanging by the tree in the quad made her stomach churn.
You felt Xavier drape an arm behind you to keep a hand on the small of your back, more protective since the beginning of the murders. ‘’Bianca told Weems she saw someone in the woods after finding Kent’s body,’’ you reported.
‘’The killer?’’ Enid asked in a hushed voice, the same way one would talk about Voldemort in Harry Potter.
‘’Possibly.’’ You popped a blueberry in your mouth and leaned back against Xavier.
Ajax sighed. ‘’Nevermore used to be the safest place for outcasts. Now, someone is out there killing our classmates.’’
‘’Who agrees to meet someone they met on a dating app in the woods? It’s almost like he ran after his own death,’’ Wednesday said, breaking her silence at the end of the table.
‘’How can you say that?’’ Enid gasped, shocked by her roommate’s indelicate words.
You backed your sister. Her words were wrongly chosen, but Kent wasn't the brightest one of the bunch and his death proved it. ‘’Wednesday is right. Don't you guys watch horror movies?’’
*
After a few days of peace, Divina joined her twin brother and became the third victim of the Nevermore Academy murders. She was found by the lake, gutted like a fish. Although barbarous, it was ironic and well thought out by the killer.
‘’First Yoko and now Divina? This is unfair,’’ Enid cried on her bed, saddened by her friends’ deaths.
‘’Life is unfair, Enid,’’ Wednesday deadpanned, not helping her roommate’s crying. She was terrible at comforting people.
‘’Why would someone want to kill them? Kent partnered up with Bianca to sabotage the other teams at Poe Cup, but he’s never done anything so horrible that would make someone want to kill him. Neither did Yoko and Divina. I don’t understand.’’
‘’Murderers are difficult to understand,’’ you said, having read your fair share of books about serial killers.
The petite werewolf looked up from her pink heart pillow, tear stains on her face from crying. ‘’Why can't the police find them? It’s their job to keep people safe and catch the bad guys and put them behind bars. I don’t think I can handle another murder…’’
Enid was an emotional person. She was so destroyed by the loss of her friends, it was heartbreaking to see. These murders were hard on her, but unfortunately you didn’t have any words to bring her comfort. You tried getting Ajax to come over to comfort her, but getting past the housemaster was impossible.
You grabbed Wednesday’s headless doll and played with the buttons of her dress. She owned an identical dress, which made the doll creepier. ‘’This is not Riverdale. There is no 'murderer or serial killer gene'.’’ Wednesday plucked the doll from your hands, the dark look in her eyes telling you to stop it. ‘’Besides, I doubt Jericho's police department is professionally equipped to track a murderer. I don’t know why Weems bothered to call them. Now outcasts are seen as a murderer's target and normies probably make entertainment and tasteless jokes out of this.’’
‘’Then maybe someone else should take the case in their hands.’’
Enid was not wrong. Someone better suited for the job would make this case go forward — and perhaps catch the murderer —, but you could hardly see Sheriff Galpin asking help for the outcasts he despised so much. He would rather sit and watch all the outcasts drop dead before lifting a finger to help solve this case.
‘’Serial killers are difficult to catch, but not impossible,’’ Wednesday aforementioned, grabbing her notebook with a pen. Her roommate’s words had sparked an idea inside her. ‘’Thing, help Enid dry her tears. I'm taking the case into my own hands. A masked boogeyman is killing our classmates and I intend on finding who’s behind it.’’
*
‘’Where is Enid?’’ you asked a few days later, not seeing the blonde girl on her side of the dorm.
At this hour, she was usually painting her nails or working on tomorrow’s post for her social media accounts. She was a busy lady.
Wednesday was sitting at her desk with paper cut-outs all over. ‘’Out with her gorgon boyfriend,’’ she explained flatly.
The ban on outings had been lifted as of yesterday so you expected no less.
Many students had gone out today, even just to grab coffee at Weathervane. Nevermore was a large ground, but nothing compared to the freedom of Jericho. The town was less than interesting, but at least there were shops to browse, people to spook and the best chocolate cake.
You hummed, walking up to the desk to creep on your sister. ‘’How’s the investigation going?’’
‘’I may have found a common denominator between the victims.’’
You took a seat on Wednesday’s bed, careful to not crease it. ‘’Enlighten me.’’
‘’Turns out all students have something in common: they’re part of Nevermore’s secret society,’’ Wednesday explained. She pulled out a paper with what seemed to be a coat of arms — moon phases at the top, a double nightshade flower with a skull as the flower’s middle.
You pulled your eyebrows together. ‘’Since when does Nevermore have a secret society?’’
‘’Since the 1600s. Our ancestor, Goody Addams, founded the Nightshades to fight against society and to bring peace to every outcast so they could be considered as equals with normies. It's been previously believed to be disbanded because of the death of a normie, but they seemed to be still a thing.’’
‘’Why haven’t I heard of that society before?’’
‘’Perhaps you are not as cool as you believe yourself to be.’’
Your jaw dropped and you tossed a cushion at your sister. She didn’t flinch or react.
‘’If I am right — which I 99.9% am sure of —, the list of the next victims should be found through Weems. Thing and I will attempt to sneak into her office at nighttime to get my hands on the list of the members. As headmaster, she must know about this secret society.’’
*
Despite having a masked killer on the loose going after Nevermore Academy students, Principal Weems decided to not cancel the Rave'N dance. She deemed the students needed to have a little fun for one night after the tragedies.
Dress-code be damned, you would never be caught dead in a white dress.
‘’You look like a murdering widow attending their husband’s funeral, but in a good way,’’ Enid complimented, a yeti-tini in her hand.
You smiled at her, still holding onto Xavier’s arm. ‘’Thanks, Enid. I like the fur trim on yours.’’
She was giving wintery sugar-fairy plum vibes with her pink wig and sparkles on her face. It was too colorful for your taste, but she pulled it off perfectly. By her side, Ajax had gone for a more casual look — his classic tee shirt and a hoodie combo underneath a beige blazer to dress it up.
‘’Do you know if Wednesday is coming?’’ the pink haired girl asked. ‘’She was not in our dorm when I left.’’
You shook your head. ‘’Wednesday doesn’t do dances. Besides, she is too brain deep into her investigation to care about these school events—’’
Behind you, a chorus of surprised gasps and whispers caught your attention, putting an abrupt end to your conversation with Enid. You turned your head, following everyone’s sight-line, and saw Wednesday stepping in in a Victorian lace number, making her big — and unexpected — entrance.
‘’Check it out,’’ Ajax said, pointing to your sister. ‘’Wednesday totally busted out of her cocoon.’’
Ms. Thornhill approached Wednesday before you could wave her over, looking equally surprised and happy to see her at the Rave’N — and, with a date. They talked for a short time, then she excused herself to the drink table and you let go of Xavier’s arm to get to her.
‘’I’ll be right back.’’
The bottom of your dress was sweeping the floor as you walked, making you wish you had gotten it hemmed before the dance.
‘’Nice dress, did you dig in a corpse’s coffin?’’
‘’I did not. Unfortunately,’’ Wednesday replied while pouring Yeti-tinis into cups — for her and Tyler. ‘’Thing stole it in a shop in town.’’ She gave you a look over, her face turning into a slight discomfort. ‘’You look like Mother,’’ she pointed out flatly, looking at your long dark hair and the plunging neckline of your dress. ‘’It’s truly disturbing.’’
‘’I’ll take it as a compliment.’’ You grabbed a glass and poured yourself a drink. ‘’Interesting choice of date,’’ you said, wrinkling your nose seeing Tyler dressed in a white suit and a blue button up. Something about him rubbed you the wrong way.
‘’Not all of us are interested by elite snobs.’’ Wednesday took her drinks and left.
*
Eventually, the DJ played the last song of the night. Some radio pop that made you cringe. You hated every single thing about that song, but danced with Enid anyway.
Just as the song was hitting its high point, you saw something drip on Enid’s shoulder. Something red. You looked up, trying to figure its provenance, and saw more red liquid dripping and coming from the sprinklers. More and more continued to drip, speckling dresses, jackets, hair and faces with red.
Your lips curled into a pleased smile, feeling the wetness on your face and dripping down. Your first blood shower. The sprinklers hit their full splashing speed and Wednesday's face mirrored yours.
The party ambiance turned into chaos and terror. Screams echoed all around, realizing what was happening. People were running and slipping on the now wet floor, turning up the level of chaos, while the Addams twins remained calm.
You dipped a red-coated finger in your mouth, only to be disappointed. ‘’It’s only paint.’’
Whoever had planned this little stunt were amateurs — or wimps. Although you were 100% on Carrie’s side, at least Chris Hargensen went through with her plan and got real pig’s blood.
Soon enough, the whole room was coated in red paint; it reassembled a bloodbath. It was magnificent.
‘’Have you seen Tyler? I lost him,’’ the voice of your sister asked, standing before you, equally painted with red paint.
You shook your head. ‘’I haven’t.’’
*
You walked down Ophelia Hall to your dorm, 'bloody' from head to toes. The paint had begun to dry in some places, making it feel tight and uncomfortable on the skin.
When you came out from your shower, you caught a masked figure sitting in your chair, spinning a knife on your bed-side table with a gloved hand — the masked killer. While most would have screamed and ran out of the room, your visitor made your stomach twist in a pleasuring way.
‘’Nice robe. Though it would look better on the floor,’’ the masked killer said with the use of a voice changer.
‘’Nice knife. It would look better against my neck,’’ you quipped back without a glint of fear.
You grabbed your hairbrush from your desk, totally unbothered by the stranger in your dorm, but when you moved to get to your bathroom, the masked killer was right behind you.
‘’I didn’t say you could go.’’
Your body stilled, feeling the warmth of their chest through the thin fabric of your robe. A gloved hand crept on your waistline, right where the tie of your silk robe sat. One firm tug and it would fall open — goodbye modesty.
‘’I saw you on the dance floor.’’ The hand on your waist slowly trailed down, searching for the opening of your robe to slip a hand underneath. ‘’All that blood on you made me want to ravage you. Unfortunately, I had other doings awaiting.’’
You could hear the other person breathing behind the mask and felt a jolt of pleasure shoot straight to your core. ‘’Are you going to kill me?’’
‘’Do you want me to?’’ the robotic voice asked.
You twisted in their grasp, now facing the masked killer. The danger of the situation excited you and you could feel it in your panties as the gloved hand slipped higher on your thigh, exposing more skin.
A smirk curled on your lips, deciding to entertain his little game. You then put on your best 'scared' face, peering up at them with pleading eyes. ‘’Please don't kill me Mr. Ghostface, I wanna be in the sequel.’’
“I like it when you beg.” A gloved hand reached up and removed the mask to reveal a smirking Xavier, his eyes dark with lust.
‘’How was he?’’ you asked, hearing the mask hit the floor.
‘’Feisty.’’ Xavier rolled his shoulder, hissing a little. ‘’He kept screaming and fighting back. It was so annoying. I had to gag him and tie him up.’’
‘’This should keep Wednesday’s nose away from our business.’’
Xavier hummed, casting his green eyes down on your lightly covered body. He leaned in to attach his plush lips to your jaw, kissing along while he untied your robe. The front fell open, the chill air of the dorm waking goosebumps on your skin.
He led you to the bed and followed you down on the bed-spread. The sides of your robe had slipped on the sides of your body, uncovering the swell of your breasts. Xavier's mouth left your skin, pulling back and taking a moment to admire you under him.
‘’My deadly nightshade,’’ he breathed out in a whisper, running a finger over your clothed clit. He was so deeply in love with you; he would murder for you, abandon his morales just for one more taste of you. You didn't notice him reaching under his robe to retrieve his knife. He ran the cold blade up your thigh, making you shiver. ‘’I’m gonna have you screaming for me.” The blade slid briefly under your panties — black and delicate, just the way he liked.
‘’I don’t scream,’’ you said, your heart beating faster from the thrill of the knife. ‘’And if I do, there's a good chance I'm enjoying myself.’’
Xavier smirked with a dark glint in his eyes. He took that as a challenge. ‘’I’d love to hear that.’’ You heard the tear of the lace, the blade cutting through the delicate material and then moving to the left. Then, he gently dragged it down your mound, the blunt side touching your skin.
Your breath hitched and you clenched around nothing.
Xavier reached for the voice changer, bringing it to his mouth. ‘’Let’s play a game. Do you like scary movies, Y/N?’’
‘’Uh-uh.’’
‘’I ask a question and if you get it right, I’ll slip a finger in. You must be so fucking wet already, uh?’’ He slipped a finger between your folds, feeling your slick. You drew in a breath, bucking your hips and causing the knife to press into your delicate skin. ‘’That knife makes you wet, doesn't it?’’
Most would be terrified of the sharp edge touching their skin, but it gave you a rush of adrenaline and oxytocin.
‘’Wrong answer and I’ll—’’ He slapped your cunt, the sound echoing in the dorm, making you gasp a moan and quiver under his touch. ‘’Got it?’’
You nodded.
Xavier took the knife away and you whimpered, already missing it. ‘’How many people did Jason kill in the first Friday the 13th?’’
‘’Zero,’’ you answered confidently.
Jason was not the killer in the first movie. It’s his mother, Pamela Voorhees. That exact question was a trap for fake horror fans and they fell for it every time.
‘’Correct.’’ He brought a finger down to your folds and pushed it in with a squelching sound. ‘’What is the name of the swedish pagan cult in Midsommar?’’ Xavier continued while slowly thrusting his finger in and out.
You raked your brain for the right answer, not feeling full enough. ‘’The Hårga.’’
‘’Correct.’’ Another finger was added and you let out a soft sigh. ‘’In The Orphan, what is the not-so-little girl's real name in the movie?’’
You had watched this movie a few weeks ago. How could you not remember the little bitch’s name.
To deconcentrate, Xavier curled his fingers in just the right way, watching your eyes fluttering shut as a moan slipped out.
‘’Esther. H-her name’s Esther!’’
His fingers stilled inside you and that’s when you knew you fucked up.
Xavier shook his head. ‘’I'm sorry, that’s the wrong answer.’’ A smirk pulled at the corner of his mouth and he slapped your pussy — hard —, making you moan, the line between pain and pleasure blurring. ‘’Her name is Leena Klammer. Esther is the name she gave herself.’’
Shit. You knew that.
‘’Should we go for another question? One last question?’’
‘’What does Emily Blunt's character, Evelyn Abbott, step on in the film A Quiet place?’’
A nail.
Instead, you said, ‘’A needle.’’
Xavier tsked you with his tongue, shaking his head. ‘’Wrong answer.’’ He gave your pussy another slap and you moaned again as you clenched, wishing he would do it again and again.
Was it even punishment if you were enjoying it?
‘’Mmh, look at that wet pussy.’’ Xavier dipped a finger between your folds, collecting your slick and making you push against his touch, wanting more. ‘’My pretty pussy.’’ He brought his finger to his mouth and sucked all of your slick like it was fucking desert. After cleaning it all up, he released it with a ‘pop’ and you kissed him, tasting yourself on his tongue.
Before you could engage in further activities, Xavier rid himself of his black costume and other black clothes. He was getting hot under this all — and his cock was so hard in his pants that it was aching. You wished he had kept his Rave’N attire underneath his costume, but he would've been too recognizable and blood was almost impossible to get out of white clothing.
You ran your hands over his bare chest, feeling the warmth of his skin. His face twisted in discomfort when you reached his shoulders, but you soothed them with kisses while his hands rubbed up and down your hips and thighs.
It was nice to not have to worry about a roommate returning or time. Your roommate asked to be moved to Bianca’s room after Divina’s death to support her in this difficult time and all the adults were too busy cleaning up the bloodbath in the ballroom to do bed check-ups.
‘’Ahh,’’ you gasped when you felt the tip of Xavier’s cock along your folds, wetness pooling between your legs as he teased you. ‘’Keep teasing and Tyler won’t be the only body found unalive in the morning,’’ you warned and nipped at his bottom lip.
Murderous tendencies were part of the Addams family genes. Adding a number to your body-count would bring a grin to your lips.
He sank into you in one smooth thrust, your legs closing on his back and pulling him closer. He was stretching you so good, filling you so good, that the slight pain due to rushing didn’t matter. You moaned loudly, fingernails digging hard into Xavier’s smooth back, almost drawing blood. He didn’t mind it. He actually loved the pain it resonated in his body. It made his pleasure sharper and stronger.
His thrusts got faster and harder, causing the decibels of your moans to rise with your pleasure as he bucked his hips and thrusted in and out of you at a rapid pace. Trying to quiet your sounds, you trailed your lips to his neck and up to his ear to busy them, taking his earlobe between your teeth as you tugged, releasing it only a moment later when he hissed.
You could feel your pussy quivering around him, already so close to coming. One hand moved up to grip his hair, pulling as he
Xavier looked down at you, his eyes burning just like yours and held his knife to your throat while he slammed into you. He wanted to paint that image so he could look at it everyday. ‘’Scream for me.’’
You shook your head, keeping your mouth shut.
He thrusted deeper, the intense pleasure that came from that thrust so intense you almost gave him what he wanted. ‘’Scream. For. Me.’’ He did it again, his thrust almost sending you to your grave.
Back arching and rising from the bed, you cried out, reaching a level of pleasure you never had before.

Eight hours later, Sheriff Galpin's cries were heard all around Nevermore's grounds. His son, Tyler, had not come home last night so Galpin tracked his phone. The app had led him to the academy, confirming that Tyler had not left Nevermore after the Rave'N, and to the perimeting woods. After some arguing with Weems, he searched the woods with his troupe of cops. Unfortunately, the reunion with his son had not been jolly as Tyler was found dead.
Despite the early hour, many students were outside — in their pajamas and slippers —, watching as a coroner rolled Tyler’s body in a black bag, taking him to the morgue.
The morning chill was biting through your thin nightgown and robe, making you shiver. You tried your best to cover your face with a veil of shock like the rest of your classmates, not wanting to wake suspicions.
But Galpin already had his and the first on his list was your dear sister, Wednesday.
‘’You Addams are a plague to this town!’’ the man screamed at your sister, pointing an accusing finger at her over the yellow crime scene ribbon.
‘’Wednesday didn’t do anything,’’ you said, taking Wednesday’s defense. She was innocent and you won’t tolerate Galpin screaming at her of the sort. ‘’She was actually looking for Tyler when the sprinklers splashed paint. I get that you have a grudge against our family — our father precisely —, but don’t accuse my sister or me just so you can have the satisfaction of putting an Addams behind bars. That’s a false allegation and my family won’t stay with our arms crossed if you make that move.’’
The wit on your tongue baffled him — your mother would be proud if she was here.
Wednesday didn’t need your help to defend herself, but she was thankful for you.
‘’You were so terrifyingly sexy when you put Galpin back in his place,’’ Xavier whistled, catching up to you in the academy’s hall. His green eyes were full of lust and if you dared looking down, you would see his semi hidden in his sweatpants.
You smiled. ‘’If there is one thing men have too much, it’s audacity. They will use their position of authority and power against you, but you can’t let them step on you. They need to be knocked down from their pedestal once in a while.’’
‘’Please knock me down from mine.’’

It’s always the most quiet ones that are the freakiest, who have the darkest fantasies. Behind his innocent eyes, Xavier was just as twisted as you.
‘’Xavier?’’ you called as you descended the stairs of the secret library, the portraits of past members of the Nightshade secret society all looking at you. ‘’Xavier? You asked me to meet here at midnight.’’ Your voice echoed through the darkened room and died to a silence.
A frown formed between your eyebrows. Where was he?
‘’Xavier—’’
His name turned into a muffle as a masked figure came out of the shadow and covered your mouth with their hand. You grabbed your attacker's forearms as you were being forcefully guided backward, trying to fight them off, but they were stronger.
Your back hit one of the shelves of the library and a knife was pulled out and pressed against your throat while you looked up into a set of deep black eyes. The cold steel of the blade against your skin made your pulse quicken. You clenched your thighs as your core tightened.
‘’Do you want to play a game?’’
You recognized the voice under the mask.
‘’You're in the wrong movie, mon cheri.’’
Xavier pulled off his mask, a dark look of amusement on his face. ‘’Did I scare you?’’
‘’A Halloween mask?’’ You sniggered. ‘’You're gonna have to work harder than that if you want to scare me. I'm an Addams. We scare people to death.’’ You snatched the mask from Xavier’s grasp. ‘’Where did you get this?’’
‘’I found it in a box.’’ He stepped back and twirled the knife between his fingers with a skilled spin.
You watched with fascinated eyes the way his long fingers held the handle. Heat pooled in your belly as you imagined what he could do with it. And above all, it excited you.
Xavier caught your gaze and raised an eyebrow, realizing with horror and fascination your twisted preferences for knives. Was he even surprised? ‘’Let’s have a little fun, shall we?’’
He took your hand with his other one and sat on a chair posted before a column, probably used as a stool to reach the highest shelves. Slender hands slid under your dress and pushed the skirt of your dress up to your waist. Once your delicates were revealed, Xavier kissed right over your panties, making you hum.
‘’Does that feel good, my deadly nightshade?’’
‘’Yes.’’
Xavier switched his mouth for his knife and dragged the cold metal over your panties, its tip very close to your clit. ‘’What about that?’’
You moaned softly, allowing your head to fall back back and exposing the vulnerable column of your throat. One move from that knife and it would be over for you.
After your little tryst, you adjusted your dress and pulled yourself together. You could still feel Xavier's hands on your thighs although he wasn't touching you, your pale skin probably bruised from his strong grip.
‘’It's a shame the Nightshades declined you into the secret society, you would've been a better leader than Bianca,’’ Xavier said, buttoning his pants back.
The mention of Bianca Barclay made sent fury through your body. You were a legacy to the Nightshades society, therefore by default a member, but the self-appointed queen bee had refused to let you in when you requested to. Xavier tried to talk to her, but Bianca’s decision remained the same.
You lifted your eyes to the collection of portraits of past members, lastly falling on your long-deceased ancestor, Goody Addams. The position was yours by blood and one thing about the Addams is that they don’t let others take what belongs to them.
‘’You are right, mon chéri.’’ You turned on your heels, facing Xavier. ‘’The position is mine and I intend to take it. Whatever it takes.’’ The corner of your lips curled into a machiavellian grin. ‘’Interesting thing about bees. Pull out their stingers, they drop dead.’’

Wednesday had turned Enid’s cork board into Ted Bundy’s pinterest board. Goodbye cute polaroid and photobooth strips, hello graphic pictures of the victims’ body injuries. It was both disturbing and fascinating.
‘’I’m sorry for Tyler.’’
Wednesday raised her eyes from the picture she was holding — a selfie of Tyler stolen from one of his social media profiles —, looking at you through her dark lashes. ‘’You don’t care about Tyler.’’ She pinned it to the board, adding it to the list of murders.
‘’But I care about you.’’
That was true.
‘’His death is unfortunate, but I cannot let myself be distracted by my personal emotions. I have to solve this case before anyone else gets murdered.’’ She stepped back, looking at her collage.
‘’Looks like the killer broadened their horizon of targets,’’ you said, your eyes following the pictures and names of your classmates…and then Tyler’s. ‘’Why Tyler?’’
‘’The reason escapes me.’’ Wednesday drew her eyebrows together very subtly. ‘’Until me, Tyler has never been affiliated with any outcasts,’’ she pointed out.
‘’Does that make you the next target?’’
‘’Maybe. Unless Tyler was a pawn. A diversion.’’
*
After leaving Wednesday's dorm, you needed to find Xavier. Your heart was beating fast as you walked to Hamlet Hall. You didn't think she would piece together so quickly that Tyler was a diversion.
On the initial plan, the next murder was in a few days, but the pace will have to be accelerated if you wanted to complete the plan before Wednesday solved the identity of the person behind the mask. She still had a bit of investigating left to get there, but you couldn’t take risks.
*
Rowan was the outcast of the outcasts, always looming around school by himself. Getting him alone won’t be difficult. Since he was Xavier's roommate, his daily schedule was given to you on a silver plate.
Every Monday, Rowan had a late session with Dr. Kinbott. His return to the academy was typically around 9pm, but according to Xavier, he never heads straight to his dorm although curfew is close. Instead, he goes to the Nightshades library after hours.
Prior to Rowan’s arrival, Xavier would hide and catch him from behind the way he did when he pranked you with the costume the first time. Only, this time, it won’t be for play. Blood will be spilled.
The only fault in your plan was, neither you or Xavier took into consideration his roommate’s telekinetic abilities and it had been a huge mistake.
As if you had sensed something had gone wrong, you snapped twice and went down to the secret library. You were quiet in the stairs, not wanting to make your presence known.
Your instincts had been right. In the middle of the library, Rowan’s hand was raised and crisped, telekinetically holding Xavier by the throat and pinning him against a wall. Anyone would’ve screamed at him to let him go, but Rowan had caught the masked killer. If you said anything of the sort, he would know straight away that you were working together.
‘’You thought you could get me — kill me.’’ Rowan laughed. ‘’I’m often mistaken for weak because I’m always alone, but tonight I’m gonna be the hero.’’
Using your quick thinking, you scanned the room, looking for a weapon or something to bash Rowan's head to make him snap out of his focus. Telekinesis is controlled with the mind and a loss of focus would free Xavier instantly. But beside a chair, hundreds of books and a ladder, there wasn't much in here.
The corner of your dark coated lips curled when you spotted Xavier's knife on the floor, abandoned. You gave Rowan a last glance before making a quiet run for it, grabbing it and stabbing him in the back. You twisted the knife sharply as blood pooled from his mouth, cutting him mid-sentence.
‘’I'm gonna be the one to take off your mask—’’
His hand fell as his concentration was broken, causing Xavier to fall off the wall and on the ground ungracefully with a pained groan. Rowan tried to speak, but more blood spilled from his mouth — you must have perforated a lung. He quickly started choking on his blood, falling to his knees and down as blood spilled on the floor. His body jerked slightly, but the light left his eyes.
*
Xavier reported his missing roommate to Wheems in the morning, as if he knew nothing. He told Weems that Rowan hadn’t returned to their dorm after his session with Dr. Kinbott — which was not a lie.
No one suspected a thing.
Unlike the previous murders, not many shed a tear for Rowan when his body was found.
Killing Rowan in the secret library was a direct indicator that the murders were related to the secret society, which sowed fear among the remaining members. Only three of them were left standing — Bianca, Xavier and Ajax.
‘’I need to talk to Xavier,’’ Bianca said in a hushed voice, coming up to him in the quad after class. Her siren eyes shifted to you. ‘’In private.’’
‘’Can it wait?’’ he asked, slowly trailing his eyes up to look at Bianca. ‘’I’ll meet you tonight.’’
Bianca wanted to protest, but she resigned with a sigh. ‘’Tonight,’’ she agreed, throwing herself right into the lion’s mouth.
You shared a knowing look with Xavier across the table after she left. All the pieces were falling into place. Bianca had set herself right into the trap and you didn’t have to come up with a lie to lure her there.
*
Revenge is a plate better served cold…and with a little blood on the side.
Before Bianca would meet with Xavier in the secret library, you snuck in, put on the ghostface costume and hid in the shadows near some bookshelves.
Welcome to act three.
Until last night, you never had to get your hands dirty. Xavier had been a perfect killing puppet, executing his fellow Nightshades society members one by one without getting caught, but he was busy with the bait tonight, the last victim, so it was your turn to be the masked killer.
You watched Bianca checking her phone every fifteen seconds and getting impatient as she waited for Xavier. She must be thinking you were holding him up or persuaded him not to meet with her. To her eyes, you were corrupting Xavier’s pure heart, but little did she know, her ex-boyfriend wasn’t so pure intentioned. The quiet ones are often the freakiest.
‘’Took you long enough,’’ she complained, raising her eyes when she heard footsteps coming down the stairs.
Xavier had changed out of his uniform, not wanting to risk getting blood on it, knowing what was coming. ‘’Sorry. Rowan’s parents called and they want all of his belongings to be packed for tomorrow.’’
Bianca stepped forward to meet him. ‘’We’re the last members left,’’ she pointed out.
‘’You forgot Ajax.’’
Xavier hated how she always disregarded him. He was more quiet of nature and didn’t mingle with the others much, but he was a member of the Nightshades too.
‘’Right,’’ Bianca quickly brushed off. ‘’You know what this means? We’re next, Xavier.’’ There was a veil of fear in her eyes as she said the last statement. ‘’One of us is the next target of the masked killer. We must stay on our guards.’’
Xavier released a breath. ‘’I know.’’
‘’We need to watch each other's backs. We aren’t just an elite social club, our function is to protect the outcasts from anyone who would harm them, but if there are no Nightshades members left, who will protect them? There's Principal Wheems, but she can't be the only protector of the scho—’’
Her words were cut off by Xavier.
‘’Bianca! Behind you!’’ he warned, seeing the masked killer — you — coming out of the shadow and going for Bianca.
She turned around, terror filling her bones and eyes lighting up striking in fear when they fell on the masked figure. She slowly backed away, but you charged at her.
‘’Xavier, run!’’ she told Xavier, heading to the stairs and attempting to get away, but when they got to the bottom of the stairs, he turned, pulled out his knife and stabbed her to the hilt above the hip.
Bianca choked a pained gasp as the knife went through her unexpectedly. She looked down at Xavier’s hand on the knife, blood seeping through her uniform sweater vest, and flicked her eyes back at Xavier with betrayal and shock.
‘’No.’’ Her eyes filled with tears as she shook her head in disbelief. ‘’No, no. Xavier—’’ He twisted the knife and she choked a cry of pain.
You grinned wildly beneath the mask. ‘’Welcome to the third act, bitch,’’ you said, taking off your mask and revealing yourself.
*
‘’Hello, Bianca. Surprised?’’ You twirled your clean knife in your hand, watching as Xavier tied her to the chair.
‘’Of you? No. Of Xavier?’’ She hissed as he tied the rope around her, feeling it press on her injury. ‘’How could you do this?’’
You laughed silently. ‘’Sometimes we think we know people, but we really don’t.’’
‘’All done,’’ Xavier stated, tying the last knot and stepping back.
‘’I bet you forced him into this. Xavier would never—’’
‘’He’s not the innocent little boy you think he is. I’m the mastermind behind this, but Xavier helped me plan out everything. The order of the murders, how each victim would die and when — everything. He even suggested being the one getting his hands dirty.’’ You shifted your eyes to Xavier. ‘’Right, mon cheri?’’
He crossed the distance to you in a few steps, a twisted grin on his lips. ‘’The ones we trust the most are the ones who end up stabbing us in the back. You should know that,’’ he told Bianca.
Xavier placed his hands around your waist as he planted a kiss to the back of your hand. Since the day you met at a funeral when you were little, you knew that you were meant to be together. He would die for you. He would kill for you. Like Bonnie and Clyde, you had each other’s backs. But unlike those fools, you both wouldn’t die in the end.
‘’Do you know why these murders started, Bianca?’’ She gave you a clueless look. ‘’You.’’
A deep frown creased on her forehead. ‘’Me?’’
‘’Remember that day you refused me into your secret social club and turned everyone into voting me out? I didn’t like that.’’
‘’That’s your motive? Because I didn’t accept you into our social club?’’
She was belittling your feelings, and it made your blood boil in your veins. ‘’My parents were both members, my mother was the club leader in her days. I’m a direct descendant of the founder. I had every right to be a member!’’ Your voice echoed in the small library, sharp and loud.
You reached the wall where the picture frame of your mother and father hung, frightfully beautiful in their younger days. Your fingertips grazed the frame. Yours will be on that wall too one day.
‘’So I decided to take back what’s mine, to take revenge and eliminate everyone who voted me out,’’ you explained, turning on your heels to face your last victim. ‘’Yoko ended up being the first victim. I noticed she would go hunting in the woods every other Monday to feed on wild animals, so Xavier caught her at her vulnerable time. We needed something not too brutal, but just enough to shock so I came up with the idea of hooking her to the tree in the quad. I apologize to the poor soul who found her. Must be traumatized.’’
It was still unknown who found Yoko in the quad. Something to do with underage anonymity.
You pursued. ‘’Then, Kent. I knew he was looking for some boy action, so I created a fake account on a dating app and planned a meeting in the woods during the harvest festival. Easy target. Divina was Xavier’s idea.’’ Your eyes shifted to Xavier’s. ‘’Gutting her like a fish was side splitting.’’
Horror covered Bianca’s face as you explicitly went on about the murders of her friends. ‘’You’re crazy.’’
You walked over to her and tipped her chin up with the tip of your knife. ‘’Oh, you have no idea.’’
She moved her face away to glance at Xavier, somehow still thinking she could have him on her side. ‘’She's ruining your life, Xavier. You're gonna go to prison.’’
‘’What if it’s what I want?’’ His words took her by surprise. ‘’When I'm gonna get arrested, I'm going to plead guilty and take the blame for the murders. It's gonna ruin my father's life. My face is gonna be on every news report or newspapers — the world is gonna know my name. This scandal is gonna shatter my father's career by ruining the family name’s reputation. I'm gonna become famous, I’m gonna overshadow him and become the most known Thorpe.’’
Xavier’s hand slowly clenched into a fist, knuckles turning white at the thought of his father. God, he despised the man. He wanted to shove that knife so far into his skin while he screamed and watch the blood gush out from his—
He didn’t notice his nails digging into his palm, drawing blood until Bianca started to talk.
‘’For a proclaimed serial killer, you’re not that bright. You just told me your whole plan. I know the truth and I won’t let you get away with murder.’’ Her words had bite, but her threats were harmless.
You cooed. ‘’You thought you were going to live?’’ Your laugh rang in her ears. ‘’Come on, Bianca, the killer never reveals their plan without getting rid of the witnesses.’’
‘’W-what are you gonna do to me?’’
Since you’ve known Bianca, you’ve never heard her stutter. Until now.
It made you squirm with excitement.
‘’I've long thought about it. Should I take her out like Divina? It was magnificent, but where's the originality in repeating a previous murder? Let's take it a step further. Sirens are supposed to be royalty.’’ Your footsteps echoed around you as you paced, talking mainly to yourself. “What if I sliced the self appointed queen bee’s little throat?” you asked, pulling the knife to your throat and dragging it across, a sadistic smile formed on your lips.
Her eyes watched on, deeply scared, not knowing what you would do.
Your eyes locked with the siren that was trying to unfree herself. “You aren’t going to get anywhere, but please keep going, it’s very entertaining.”
Bianca gritted her teeth. “Screw you.”
It was Xavier’s turn to laugh.
*
Blood gushed out as the blade of the knife sliced through Bianca’s throat from behind. Her eyes were wide as she took giant gasping breaths through her severed windpipe, gargling blood and coughing.
A wicked grin curled on your lips as you watched, squirming with excitement. Slitting someone’s throat is a beautifully gruesome thing to see.
After a few seconds, her head fell forward, signaling she had lost consciousness.
Goodbye Bianca.
*
While Xavier was setting up the scene, you headed to your dorm…and came nose to nose with Wednesday.
‘’I need to speak to you about something of high importance,’’ she declared, holding her investigating notebook in her arms. ‘’Immediately.’’
You let her inside your dorm and closed the door.
‘’I believe I've cracked the identity of the masked killer. Take a seat, sister. You'll need one.’’
There was no way that she would crack it correctly, yet her eyes glimmered — Wednesday loved a good murder mystery.
“I was looking for you, so I sent Thing to see if you were with Xavier at his dorm, but when he got to the window, he saw the mask on his bed.”
The muscles in your face fought, trying to keep a straight face. Although Wednesday knew to keep secrets, you weren't sure if you could trust her with this one. The stakes were too high.
So you just sat there and listened to what your dear sister had to say.
“Xavier?’’ A disbelieved laugh left your lips. ‘’No, Wednesday—”
“It must be hard to hear that your beloved murdered our classmates, but Xavier is the killer behind the mask. You know, looking back it all makes sense.’’ She opened her notebook, well prepared. “Everything aligns.”
You watched as she turned pages, trying to find what she needed as proof.
“Remember after Kent’s murder your words: ‘Don’t you guys watch horror movies?’ played in my head,” Wednesday said, aggressively hitting the pages with her index finger. “The murders were all done from horror movies.” You watched the poor notebook being abused; if Wednesday pressed any harder, she would either break her finger...or the notebook in her hand.
She went on, pages crumpling and turning until she had reached the end and shut it closed with a loud slam. You've never underestimated your sister's investigating talent, it was only a question of time until she solved the puzzle and settled her accusatory finger on Xavier.
A laugh broke through your lips as you slow-clapped your hands together. ‘’Well done, Wednesday. But Xavier is not the mastermind behind the murders.’’
‘’I know. They plan came from you!’’
For the first time, you questioned if anyone would be able to hear your conversation if they were walking by. There was rarely anyone in the corridors at this hour, but better be careful than having someone hearing and spilling to Sheriff Galpin.
You walked up to your vanity, picking up the necklace your mother gifted you before leaving Nevermore. ‘’Mother would be proud. I orchestrated my first murder.’’ You glanced back at Wednesday. ‘’And unlike you, I didn’t fail,’’ you pointed out with a haughty smug look.
Wednesday’s eyes soften for a second before sucking in a breath between her teeth. ‘’Please don’t remind me of that embarrassing moment.’’
A proud smile broke across both the Addams sisters' faces. No one but you and Wednesday were allowed to torment Pugsley. Those jocks should've known who's door they were barking at when they picked on your brother.
‘’Now, what?’’ Wednesday asked.
‘’Xavier is in the secret library with Ajax and Bianca's body.’’
‘’Body?’’
You hummed casually. ‘’Yeah, her stinger needed to be pulled. She was standing in my way.’’
*
‘’Holy shit. Bianca!’’ Ajax hurried over, seeing the siren’s slit throat and blood all over her front. ‘’What happened? Is she…dead?’’
Wasn’t the blood pouring out of her slit throat enough of a giver?
Xavier ran a hand through his hair, as if he was freaking out. ‘’I found her like that,’’ he explained, lying through his teeth.
He hated lying to his best friend, but he didn’t want to implicate Ajax. He was just there as a body witness.
‘’We have to alert Principal Weems…and Sheriff Galpin and—’’ Ajax spoke frantically while pacing. ‘’We need to do something, we are the only ones left. Oh my god, are we next?’’ Color washed from his face, terrified to die.
Xavier stepped back and something slipped from his pocket and fell on the floor. The knife.
Ajax's eyes darted to the floor and then the knife. There were specks of dried blood on it, an immediate telling that it was the incriminating weapon.
*
Weeks after Xavier's arrest for the Nevermore murders, you took control of the Nightshades society and built it back. Wednesday joined, and Ajax convinced you to take Enid. Under her pink aesthetic, she was actually a ferocious wolf...after wolfing out.
The society could use more members, but you decided to keep a small committee.
You told your parents the truth about the murders. As expected, your mother was very proud of your well executed plan. Addams blood ran in your veins without a doubt.
The school year ended, and the trial came.
Heartbroken parents were present in the courtroom, seeking revenge and justice for taking their children's life. Yoko’s father wanted to drain his body until he had no pulse, Kent and Divina’s parents cried during the whole trial, and Sheriff Galpin wanted his head on a silver platter. Bianca’s mom and Rowan’s dad were there too.
You sat with your family in the row behind Xavier during the trial. He looked good in a suit. You wanted to jump over the barrier and smash your mouth on his. It’s been so long since your last kiss.
Xavier’s father sat on the same row, wishing he would be anywhere but here. As predicted, the accusations made the world-famous psychic fall from his fame. Xavier’s face was everywhere — in the newspapers, gossip magazines, social media. Vincent Thorpe was forced to step down and play a low profile for a while.
Ignoring his lawyer's advice, Xavier pleaded guilty to all crimes, condemning himself to a mandatory life-sentence in a federal prison with no chance of parole until twenty years.
His father was pissed.
A small part of you felt guilty for coming out of the courtroom scuff free while your beloved got a life-sentence.
‘’Worry not, my little rain cloud, we’ll get him out of there,’’ Gomez promised once in the car, out of the journalists’ ears.
You removed your sunglasses and glanced at the black diamond ring on your finger — a birthday gift from Xavier. Worry not, mon cheri, I will be coming for you.

I Didn’t Think
Xavier Thorpe x Reader
Summary: You get arrested by Officer Galpin when you beat the shit out of his son and his friends for attacking Xavier.
No Gender Specified!
Warnings: Cursing, blood, fighting
REQUESTS OPEN FOR WEDNESDAY CHARACTERS -> sorry for yelling.
UNEDITED
Tumblr media
“Get in there!” Officer Galpin shouted in rage, shoving me into the cell, “Weems is on her way! Touching my son, unbelievable!”
“Well, maybe if you actually raised your son, instead of letting him get away with hurting people then I wouldn’t have had to do that,” I hissed back, rubbing my bicep.
His fingers were definitely going to leave a bruise or two. I averted my gaze to my lap and smiled a ghost of a smile, at least those guys will never mess with any of my friends or I ever again.
“My son has been through enough bullshit and I don’t need some Outcast Nevermore kid telling me how to parent!” He all, but screamed, face reddening in frustration.
“Let me educate you, Officer Galpin... we’ve all been through a lot of bullshit! As you just pointed out, I’m an Outcast! Our lives are hard enough as is, without your son adding to it. How about instead of lecturing me, you go talk to your kid. Otherwise, this will be a recurring cycle!”
“Are you trying to get expelled from Nevermore?” He asked placing his face between two of the bars.
“No! I’m trying to stop this discrimination and inequality between Normies and Outcasts! It’s people like you who allow your child to continue to set us back every time we try and reach out to a Normie. Your son and his friends beat up my friend and destroyed his mural... I didn’t see him in a prison cell, or punished at all, actually!” I yelled, my voice echoing throughout the building, his eyes softened, he didn't know, “Also thanks for the nice change of scenery!”
“It’s a prison cell,” He stated matter of factly.
“I was being sarcastic!”
He scoffed and marched out of the room. My eyes followed him, then his shadow, then the noise of his footsteps, until I couldn’t hear anything but silence. Sighing away my frustration, I sat down on the bed. I reached up to touch my lip, it was swollen and bloody, but the blood had dried by now. I knew I kept wiping away the blood with my sleeve while I was getting escorted in a blue cop car.
Sitting patiently as I could waiting for Weems to come and give me my punishment wasn’t easy. In fact, I’m sure the whole school knows what I’ve done by now, due to the Gossip Queen, Enid and her insipid blog. As much as I love her, she irks me the wrong way sometimes. However, to look at this situation from a different perspective, maybe the Nevermore student body will finally be able to stand up to Normies and demand respect.
“Care to explain yourself?” Weems demanded, more so in a statement not a question.
I didn’t hear her even come in, Galpin neither, so as the shock of their presence washed off I replied, “They attacked Xavier, so I made it very clear to them not to do it again.”
“Do you want Nevermore’s reputation to diminish? After all the hard work we’ve put in to fit in with society?” She was angry.
“Of course not, I’m just tired of not being able to stick up for myself against bigots like Tyler Galpin and Lucas Walker. Who, by the way, never get any consequences because their fathers are running this town, so excuse me if I have a vendetta against the insolent, dictatorial, supercilious adults of Jericho,” I defended myself.
Their faces showed more than enough dismay to keep me satisfied. The silence filling the room was so loud, I almost laughed.
Officer Galpin cleared his throat, “Well, with what had taken place, and the things we’ve discussed, I think someone owes you an apology, and vise-versa.”
Tyler walked in, uncomfortable and embarrassed, as he should be. His eyes locked with his father who just gave him a firm nod. He made eye contact with my, his injuries evident; his eye was black, lip busted, cheek and forehead bruised, and I’m assuming the hidden injuries are sore.
He stepped in front of me, the bars separated us, “Hey, Y/n... uh... I’m really sorry for what I did to your friend. I wish I could say I knew why I did it, but I’d be lying.”
“Tyler, as much as I want to say I accept your apology, there's three things wrong with this situation; one, you aren’t apologizing because you want to, but because your dad is forcing you to. Two, I’m not the one you should be apologizing to. And three, I won’t be apologizing because I’m not sorry,” I crossed my arms and bore my eyes into him like arrows to a target.
“Y/n!” Weems hissed.
“No, there’s no fault in that statement,” Officer Galpin stepped up, he pulled out his keys to unlock my cell, “You’re free to go, stay out of trouble.”
“I don’t think I’m the one you should be worried about,” I glared at Tyler, who looked to his feet.
“Thank you, Officer Galpin, this wont happen again. I’ll see to it,” She promised pushing my back softly to lead me to her car.
On the drive back it was silent, my attention drawn to the street lights and racing the raindrops on the window.
“As angry as I am with you, I also wanted to let you know how impressed I am. Standing up for our kind, to four large boys might I add... but seriously, don’t let it happen again. As for your punishment, one week detention during lunch time. Sound fair?”
“Sounds fair,” i agreed, not the worst punishment I could’ve gotten.
After bidding a goodnight to Principal Weems I made my way to my dorm, whom I shared with my best friend Bianca. Upon opening the door, there she stood, arms crossed and pissed, to say the least.
“A fight?!” She began bombarding me.
“Let me guess, Enid posted all about it on her blog,” I said walking over to my desk and hanging my coat on the back of my chair to let it dry from the rain.
I began changing into comfy attire, simple grey sweats and an old band tee.
“Yeah, and just letting you know, a lot of people are coming up with their own theories as to what happened. So spill it,” She plopped herself onto my bed, I did the same.
“I did it because of what they did to Xavier. The only punishment I got was detention, during lunch, for a week,” I explained.
“Um, excuse me? You fought four people... because of Xavier Thorpe,” She looked at me as if I was the stupidest person she’d ever met.
“I’d do the same thing if it was you, no hesitation,” I shrugged.
“This isn’t like you, I guess I’m just shocked. You really like him, huh?”
I nodded, “Yeah, but he’s too busy chasing after the creepy deadpanned goth girl.”
Bianca groaned, “Don’t even get me started on Wednesday.”
I laughed in response, but she continued, “Y/n, I don't want you getting hurt anymore over some guy... talk to him, tell him how you feel. So this doesn't happen again.” She pointed to my face.
Before I could reply, a knock sounded loudly at the door. Bianca rolled her eyes, mumbling profanities as she swung open the door, “Xavier?”
“Is Y/n here?”
I stood up quickly and joined her at the door. His face dropped upon seeing my face.
“So it’s true?” He was flabbergasted.
I grabbed his arm and pulled him inside, trying to avoid us getting caught by any teachers.
“What’re you doing here, Xavier?”
“Isn’t it obvious? There's rumors circling around that you got into a fight, with a bunch of unconfirmed reasons as to why, I had to see if you were okay and why you’d do something so reckless,” He explained.
I rolled my eyes and went to lean against my desk.
I looked at Bianca, she nodded understanding and said, “I’m going to ask Yoko something.”
Once she left, Xavier asked, “What were you thinking?”
“I didn’t think, Xavier!” I shrugged raising my voice the slightest.
“What happened?” He asked softly, walking up to me and touching my busted lip with his thumb ever so slightly.
“I was just so infuriated by what they did to you, Xavier! They deserved it, I’m sick and tired of them thinking they can treat us Outcasts however they see fit, just because were different! I went to Tyler's house, where I knew they’d be, and I gave them the karma they deserved,” Word-vomit projected from my mouth before I could even filter what I said.
He just looked at me, mouth agape, green eyes on my face, and a look that made me feel guilty.
“You did this because of me?”
“No! I did this for you, not because of you,” I corrected.
After a minute, a long minute, of silence he finally said, “I don't know what to say.”
“Just go, Xavier,” I barely whispered.
He tried to protest and explain himself, but I wasn’t brave enough to say what I really wanted to say, nor was I in the right min set, “Please... We will talk about this some other time.”
I went and laid down in my bed, body exhausted, leaving him to let himself out.
“Goodnight, Y/n,” He said and then the click of the door, I was alone.
For the past two days I avoided Xavier like the plague, but that didn't stop the rumors. Or the real reason why I got into a fight. So throughout the past 48 hours I’ve been asked a series of questions;
“Do you like Xavier?”
“Are you two dating?”
“We’re you secretly dating and broke up?”
I was done with it all, hoping it would die down, I decided to get away after class and skip my club meeting today. Archery doesn't sound that great when you know Xavier is the Club President.
I took a walk through the woods, I had no idea where I was going, I was just letting my subconscious guide me. This week has been exhausting, but I don't regret what I did. When my mind snapped out of whatever trance I was in I found myself at a shed, not just any shed, Xavier’s shed.
I gasped, looking around in a slight panic, wondering if he was here. I looked at the door and saw the lock was missing, so he had been here. Something inside me told me to just knock, go in, talk to him. He’s one of my best friends after all, and according to what Bianca said, he’s beating himself up and blaming himself.
“Fuck it!”
I went and knocked, “Xavier? It’s Y/n! Can we talk please?”
No answer. Thinking he was in there and just ignoring me, I walked in anyway. My jaw dropped seeing something I wasn’t expecting. A painting of myself, I was reading my favorite book. I looked to my left and saw an open sketchbook, another drawing of myself was displayed on the open page. Except, this time, I wasn’t alone. Xavier sat behind me, arms wrapped around my waist, and I was reading my favorite French novel. Something he always loved about me was my gift, I could understand and speak any and all languages, even if someone invented a new one, like Tolkien.
“Y/n?” I jumped away from the sketchbook and looked at the man himself.
“Xavier! I knocked, but I thought maybe you were ignoring me, so I just walked in. I’m sorry,” i panicked not knowing how to explain myself.
“Yeah, I saw you walking out here, skipping archery, I wanted to see what was wrong. You’ve been ignoring me,” He explained, leaving the elephant in the room alone.
“I just needed to clear my head,” I shrugged, glancing at the drawing.
“I know it seems... weird. Me drawing you,” he said softly, embarrassed for sure.
I shook my head smiling softly at it, “No. I think it’s beautiful.”
He picture began to move. We were laughing and he hugged me tighter, “I keep having visions about you. I mean, I’ve always had them, but ever since your fight with Galpin... they’ve been more... intense.”
“Why?” I pressed slightly.
“I don’t know. If I were to guess, I’d say it’s because I have feelings for you. And they’ve become more intense because... if I didn’t know any better, I’d say you liked me back,” He stepped closer to me, cautiously.
“Why do you think that?” I was just messing with him at this point, but my entire body wanted to celebrate.
“Bianca told me,” He smiled bashfully.
“That Bitch!” I mumbled.
He laughed and softly touched my hand, “Is it true?”
“Do you really think I’d beat up four guys just for fun?”
“No, i guess not. Please don’t ever do that again,” He practically begged.
“On one condition,”
“Oh yeah, what would that be?”
“Kiss me,” I stood on my tip toes.
“I think that could be arranged. Deal!” He smiled wisely and grabbed my chin.
Our lips pressed together, fit perfectly like a lock and key. My swollen lip was throbbing, but I didn't care. I’ve waited for this moment for over a year, I wasn’t about to ruin this. He was the first one pull away, and I can only describe the way he looked at me as blissful adoration.
“And I get to do that anytime I want?” He whispered.
“Mm-hm, I’ve been yours for a long time,” I rubbed our noses together.
“Good, because stopping completely is going to be hard,” He kissed me again.
“We should probably get back to Nevermore,” I smiled pulling him towards the door.
“Do we have to?” I raised a brow with a smirk.
I looked at him suspiciously, “And just what would we do instead?”
He firmly grabbed my waist and whispered into my ear, “I think we can figure something out.”

can you do one where xavier is panting on readers nude body
Xavier Thorpe x reader
"You want my art tattooed on you?" Xavier stared at Y/n as she laid on his bed, his t shirt covering her.
"Yep! I've been thinking about it for a while, i want a rib to ankle tattoo, of your art. Can you draw it for me?" Xavier nodding grabbing his supplies, brushes and pens all laid out as he picked up his largest art book before Y/n placed her hand on it and pushed it under the bed with a smirk.
"What are ya doing?" Xavier asked, a soft smile on his face as Y/n leaned down and placed a kiss on his lips.
"Draw it on me." Xavier's eyebrows raised for moment before he smirked and got up, pushing Y/n back on the bed as she squealed and laughed, Xavier kissing her deeply as he ran his hands along her thighs. Parting as he sat back, collecting a paint brush and palette in his hand before tapping it against his lips.
"Which leg? Also you might have to pull my top up a bit so i can get to your ribs." Y/n grinned, Xavier's eyes on her as she slowly pulled his shirt up, lacey underwear underneath as Y/n slowly pulled his shirt off her body and laid in only her underwear. Arm above her head as she blew Xavier a kiss and got comfy, turning to he could paint her thigh and ribs without moving her too much. Xavier staring before clearing his throat with a little shake of his head.
"This leg, draw whatever you want Baby." Xavier nodded scooting closer as he gripped her thigh, dipping his paintbrush in and doing his first stroke, Y/n breathing in as she watched Xavier, his hand gripping her thigh tightly as he painted along her skin. Y/n felt the brush graze over her skin, his fingers ghosting with it, goosebumps following his hands.
Y/n laid quietly, Xavier concentrating as he added on the last details, the sun had set and now the room glowed orange as Xavier sat back with a smile and pushed his hair back, paint on his fingers and face as he looked over Y/n.
"All done." Xavier smiled proudly as Y/n slowly got off the bed, moving to stand in front of his mirror with a wide smile, turning to look at him as she spoke.
"Bring my phone over please." Xavier nodded, her phone in his hand as he admired her, Y/n taking it as she turned back to the mirror, turning to the side as she showed off the tattoo. Taking a few pictures before she noticed Xavier's face, a smirk on hers as she grabbed his hand, placing it on her breast as she waited for him to do the same on the other.
"Don't need anyone else seeing them when i post this." Xavier laughed as Y/n leaned into him, moving her thigh to cover her underwear and show off the drawing as Xavier's hands covered her chest and took a photo. Showing Xavier as she posted it to instagram, snapchat and sent it to Enid.
"It's perfect baby, i love it." Xavier grinned as he kissed her cheek, Y/n turning her head and kissing him deeply as Xavier began rolling her breasts in his hand and pulling her into him. "As much as i love seeing you covered in my art, i think i'm going to have to smudge it all." Y/n let out a giggle as Xavier picked her up from behind, kissing her neck and cheek loudly as he dropped her onto the bed. Playfully kissing her as he smudged the paint onto her cheek, Y/n rolling her eyes as she laughed pulling him back to her as she wrapped her legs around him.

Kisses for your work.
Summary: (y/n) uses the incentive of kisses to get Xavier to study for their botanical sciences class but an insecurity comes up with a slip of a hand. ((y/n) is a gorgon and this is Xavier Thorpe x reader).
Word count: 0.9K
Warnings: monsters/creatures, kissing, making out, relationship insecurity?
-
Sat on my bed, I mindlessly flip through the pages of the textbook I’m meant to be teaching Xavier. I’m better than him at Miss Thornhill’s botanical sciences class, the one subject I’m probably better than him at.
“So…” I start to explain as I land on the right pages. “Read this page,” I say pointing to the page, and flipping it a couple of pages. “To this page. Then I’m gonna test you on it.”
He groans as I pass him the book with a sweet smile.
“Seriously?” He says, frowning.
“I’ll give you a reward for every question you get right.” He scoffs softly, rolling his eyes.
“Oh yeah, what are you gonna give me?” He says doubting me so I lean forward and press my lips against his. He brings his hand up to cup my face so I pull away leaving him slightly confused.
“That’s your reward,” I say smirking before sitting back down and picking up my magazine.
“You're just gonna read your magazine now and make me study.” He says in a mock disgusted tone.
“Oh come on, you’re gonna fail this class otherwise, I’m just trying to help you,” I say with a small pout. “I’m giving you an incentive to study, just do it,” I say hitting him on the shoulder gently and turning around to read my magazine.
“Fine.” He says with a sigh looking over the book I gave him.
Minutes pass as I flip through my film magazine looking at all the different movies coming out this year, multiple Marvel projects and a couple of interesting films I wanna check out. After about ten minutes Xavier’s finished so I start testing him.
“Okay.” I take the book off of him to test him. “Tell me about the Nepenthes plant.”
“The Nepenthes is also known as the pitcher plant, it’s a carnivorous plant and there are about 170 species…” He continues listing facts about the plant and I nod along, correcting him on minor details. “How’d I do? Do I get a reward?” He says with a smirk.
“You did well enough, room for improvement but I think you can have a reward for that,” I say with another sweet smile before leaning in and pushing my lips against his as he meets me in the middle. He reaches his hand up again resting it on my cheek as I slowly separate from him and whisper against his lips.
“You’re gonna have to do better than that for more,” I whisper then give him a quick peck on the lips before moving back on to the textbook. I clear my throat before asking more questions. He gets some wrong but the kisses seem to be a good incentive for learning the content so he improves and as we go on the kisses get deeper and more passionate.
One of my hands is tangled in his hair whilst my other rests around his neck. His lips brush against mine as we quickly separate for a short breath before rejoining again. His lips are soft and I can taste the subtle vanilla flavour from his chapstick as his lips smooth over mine. His hands travel from my neck up to the back of my head and I instantly pull back away from him, feeling his fingers at the bottom of my headscarf. I’d like to say it’s a reflex but I’m not sure that it was.
He looks shocked at my startled face as I back up and sit back down on the bed with the study book. Clearing my throat I begin to recite some of the content in hopes of moving the conversation away from what just happened.
“(y/n) are you okay? Did I do something wrong?” He asks, shuffling towards me.
“It’s nothing, let’s just get back to studying,” I say flipping the pages, desperately but he moves his hands to hold mine, gently.
“(y/n), what’s wrong? You just acted as if I was a ghost or something. Are you okay?”
“I’m fine, it’s nothing,” I assure.
“It’s clearly not nothing, what’s wrong? Did I do something wrong?” He says, his voice wavering slightly with a newfound insecurity.
“No, no, not at all!” I insist now holding onto his hands. “It’s just-” I start then pause. “I don’t want to hurt you,” I say quietly.
“You don’t want to hurt me? How would you hurt me?”
“I’m a gorgon, I could freeze you at a slip of a hand, a drop of my scarf and you get stoned,” I say feeling a few tears build up in my eyes.
“I’ve been stoned before, it’s not that bad, it only lasts a few hours.” He says and I look at him confused. “My best friend is a gorgon. You don’t think there’s been a few slip-ups?” I chuckle wiping my tears with the palm of my hand. “I seem to attract a certain type of outcast it seems.” He says with a smile before I start crying properly but with a smile on my face.
“Why are you crying?” He asks confused with a smile.
“I don’t know. You’re too good to me.” I say bowing my head, leaning it on his chest. “I love you so much.” I say and he chuckles before wrapping his arms around me.
“I love you too.” He says resting his head on top of mine. “Don’t try and stone me though.” He jokes. “It’s only okay if it’s an accident.” He warns
“I won’t,” I say jokingly hitting him on his chest.

What A Time - (x.t)
Pairing: Xavier Thorpe x Fem!reader
Summary: Wednesday Addams has drove a wedge between you and your boyfriend, Xavier. Will it be enough for you to move on? Or will you fight for the love you two share?
Warnings: angst
Tumblr media
“I think of that night in the park
It was getting dark
And we stayed up for hours
What a lie, what a lie, what a lie
You would cling to my body like you wanted it forever
What a lie, what a lie, what a lie”
Wednesday Addams. The name left a bitter taste in my mouth as I sat in the courtyard watching her interact with Xavier, Enid, and Ajax. It wasn’t that I considered her a threat, even that she had done anything wrong. The problem was Xavier’s deeply rooted interest he had recently mentioned in one of our late night discussions. She was peculiar, mysterious, and more importantly new.
Bianca Barclay had warned me months ago when Xavier had taken up an interest in me that the day would come someone would walk into his life and I would be tossed to the side. Unfortunately at the time I was so taken with him it never occurred to me that that would ever be a possibility. Yet, here I was, sitting next to Yoko being completely blindsided by a girl who’s color palette was simply black and white.
“I believe the words I’m looking for are, I told you so.” Her voice felt sharp. Almost like a knife being twisted in a wound. I didn’t even need to glance up at her to know her face held a devilish smirk. “Karma doesn’t rest. Not even for the wicked.” My eyes fluttered shut and I could hear her heels clicking off into the distance. My stomach churned at the thought of losing Xavier to Wednesday.
“Take what she says with a grain of salt. Everyone sees the way he looks at you.” Yoko reached for my hand and I let her take it in hers. “What do you say we start brain storming for the Poe Cup? Hm?” I hummed in response. Not taking my eyes off the pudding cup that sat untouched on the table. “Something wicked this way comes.” My head shot up at the sound of metal hitting our table. Enid, Ajax, and Xavier had taken their normal spots and were just now preparing for lunch.
“Hey guys.” Enid said cheerily before pulling me into a quick side hug. Xavier sat across from me, his green eyes boring into me but I didn’t dare look up. “Poe Cup is coming up and we need to discuss ideas.”
“I’m actually not feeling well.” I said quickly while pushing myself up from my seat. Xavier was quick to follow my actions. “I’m gonna go to my dorm and take a nap.”
“Let me come with you.” His voice was soft and sweet. Almost like honeysuckle. Finally I glanced up at him and saw the smile spread across his face. My heart ached at the sight. “We can go to Jericho later and grab some dinner if you want.”
“Not necessary.” His face dropped at the rejection and he gently grabbed my elbow and moved us away from our friends and out of earshot. “Xav, please. I want to go to my dorm.” That’s when I felt his fingers gently tugging at my chin and lifting my gaze to meet his.
“You’ve been distant lately. Almost as if you’re a ghost in my life.” He moved his hand from my chin to caress my cheek and out of habit I nuzzled closer into his palm. “I miss you.” His words sent electricity through me. The type of electricity that burns you to the core. It sparked the anger I had tried so hard to keep at bay since Wednesday Addams had made her hasty arrival.
“As if you noticed.” I paused pulling away from his touch and out of his arms. His face twisted in confusion at my words. “Ever since Wednesday arrived it’s as if I don’t exist. You cancelled two date nights and every time I stop by your dorm Rowan says you aren’t there. You promised me after our tiff over Bianca that we would have more nights like that night in the park. You promised, Xav.” His eyes softened at my words and he took a step forward to which I took a step back. “I thought you wanted me forever?” He went to reach for me again but I took another step back.
“Of course I do, baby. I wish I could tell you what’s going on but it’s not my business to tell.” I scoffed at his words. “But you know I want you. I want you always.”
“Then why is it so hard?” He cocked his head at me waiting for me to continue.
“Why is what so hard?” Tears began to well up in my eyes as I held his gaze. Knowing that this might possibly be the last time I look at him like this and hear him say these words. I make a mental note to burn this into the back of my mind and take a shaky breath.
“Loving you.” I can see his shoulders slump at my response. His eyes gloss over and he takes a staggering step backwards. “I think,” I pause, closing my eyes and placing my hand against my stomach to calm myself. If I break now, I won’t be able to go through with this. “I need you to be happy.” Xavier shakes his head and takes a quick step forward gripping tightly onto my arms.
“No, whatever you’re thinking of doing, please, don’t do this. Let’s just go to your dorm and talk about this.” I shake my head and step out of his grip reluctantly. “Please.”
“Then why can’t you say it?” My voice is slightly louder than the previous argument we’ve been having and he winces at the volume. “I have proclaimed my love to you in various ways, Xavier. Yet, you can’t even tell me you love me. I would never force you to do so, but if you love me, if you want me, why does it feel like you don’t?”
“I do. You know I do.” By now Enid and Yoko have caught onto the disagreement at hand and I can feel their gazes set on us. “Let’s just go to your dorm.” He takes my arm in his hand but i viciously rip it from his grip.
“No. I can’t do this anymore.” Slowly I look up at him to see the tears starting to fall. “I love you but I just can’t come second to her or anyone else anymore. I’m sorry, Xav. I’m so sorry.” I quickly lean up on my tip toes and press a kiss to his cheek before turning away and racing to my dorm. Once I’m pressed firmly against the shut door and securely in my dorm the tears flow freely. They’re hot against my cheeks and it’s almost as I can feel my heart physically breaking.
The days pass by with harsh stares and rainy days. In some ways I was grateful for the rain because it helped mask the tears and the heartbreak that came with losing Xavier. It wasn’t until I found him and Wednesday shooting arrows at targets and chatting amongst themselves that it hit me the hardest. I turned on my heels to retreat back into the building but as I took my first step I heard his voice.
“Hey.” It was soft and unsure. “Can we talk?” I knew it was against my better judgement but when I turned and saw the bags under his eyes and how bloodshot his eyes were, I knew I didn’t have a choice. He was as miserable as I was. I nodded and followed behind him as he trailed towards his dorm. Once inside he took a seat on his bed. “Please tell me what’s going on. I’ve been going through the last two weeks in my brain trying to figure out where it all went wrong.”
“If you don’t know, there’s no point in me telling you.” He groaned and rubbed his hands against his face.
“Can you please just talk to me-“ he was cut off by the sound of his phone ringing. He glanced down at it before looking back up at me. It continued to ring.
“Are you gonna get that?” By the look on his face I could already tell who it was. A certain pigtailed goth girl who had captured his attention as if it were a game of capture the flag and she was winning by a long shot. After a few moments it stopped ringing but immediately started again. “Goddamn it, Xavier.” I went to reach for the phone but he grabbed my hand.
“We’re talking. She can wait.” I felt my face harden at his words. She can wait.
“So I was right?” I pull my arm from his grasp and take a couple steps backwards. “It’s Wednesday.” He sighed heavily before glancing down at the phone. “Please. Don’t keep her waiting on my behalf.” The sound of a text message coming through steals his attention away and suddenly he’s rushing out of his seat.
“I have to go.” He throws a jacket on and grabs his flashlight before attempting to walk passed me. With all the strength I could muster I grab his elbow and catch his gaze.
“If you walk out that door, you’re walking out of my life.” He closes his eyes for all but a second and presses a gentle kiss to my forehead.
“I’m sorry.” And with those words he disappeared into the crowded hallway. My eyes stung with tears that wanted to fall freely and my heart ached as his words became the final nail in the coffin of our relationship. The rain fell heavy outside the windows as I walked back to my dorm room. All I could think was how ironic it was that the weather could mimic my exact feelings in that moment. I wanted to mourn. To sulk. To simply disappear into the shadows where no one could find me. But how do you mourn someone who is still alive?
The days crept agonizingly slow. Xavier kept his distance and found sanctuary in Wednesday and our friends while I clung to the shadows. I was sitting alone in the Quad when Bianca began to approach me. When she noticed my glare she held her hands up in surrender.
“I come in peace. However, I do have a proposition.” She takes a seat across from me and nods toward Xavier who is sat across from Wednesday at our normal table. “I hear Wednesday is going to be co-pilot for Enid and the Black Cats today for the Poe Cup. Join our team.” I scoff and push my tray away.
“What makes you think I would do that?” Her face breaks out into a devilish grin.
“You’re in need of a win and I want Xavier and Wednesday to be as distracted as possible.” Unfortunate for both of us, being her co-pilot only led us to another loss. Wednesday and Enid had led their team to a win while Xavier and Ajax cheered them on. That night as I sat in my dorm a soft knock could be heard on my door.
“I don’t want visitors.” I stated plainly as I opened to door to see the all too familiar pigtailed girl.
“Good thing I didn’t ask.” She stepped by me and took a seat in my writing chair.
“What? Here to rub salt in the wound?” Her lips twitched upwards into the smallest of smiles but she quickly caught on and looked away.
“Although the thought gives me much pleasure I’m here about Xavier.” I follow her gaze as she glances around the room. “It’s come to my attention that you believe I’m trying to engage in a romantic relationship with him.”
“That’s not-“ she held her hand up.
“I can assure you that’s not my intentions. All I want is to figure out what killed Rowan and what it has to do with me. Xavier is just collateral. He has been helping me.” Her words stop me cold in my tracks. I take a seat on my bed across from her and finally meet her eyes.
“Rowan’s dead?” She nods.
“I saw it myself. He was murdered by the monster and someone is covering it up.” She reaches into her pocket and pulls out a neatly folded piece of paper before handing it me. On it what looks to be a picture of her. “Before he died he told me I would destroy the school. I’m trying to figure out what he meant. Maybe you could be of assistance. Xavier says you’re smart.” I shrug.
“Sure but why do you want my help?” She takes the paper from my hands and folds it before placing it back in her pocket.
“I need someone as clever as me to help me solve this puzzle. First, you need to speak with Xavier.” With that she rises to her feet and walks to the door. “He loves you. For whatever reason.” I pull my phone from my pocket and quickly type out a message to him. After a few minutes there’s another knock on my door before it slowly opens.
“Hey.” His voice is quiet. He took a seat beside me on the bed and placed his hands in his lap. After a few moments of silence I finally spoke.
“I was wrong about you.” His eyebrows raised in confusion at my words and I slowly reached forward to take his hands in mine. “Loving you isn’t hard. In fact, I think it’s the easiest thing in the world. That’s why it was so hard for me to see how close you and Wednesday were getting. It reminded me that I’m replaceable. You had so much going on and all I saw was the tip of the iceberg.” He began to softly caress the back of my hand with his thumb and he rested his head on against my shoulder.
“I only fed into your fears. I should have told you. I’m so sorry, baby.” His eyes finally met mine and he inched forward until his lips were hovering next to mine. “I love you.” My eyes widened at his words.
“You said it.” He nodded with a wide smile on his place. “Please tell me I didn’t force you-“
“No, no. I mean it. I’ve felt it for a long time. I think the only reason I was afraid to say it is because every person I let in leaves.” He paused caressing my cheek. “I don’t want you to leave.” With a wide smile and a swelled heart, I pressed my lips firmly against him.
“Never.” One simple word but it was a promise I was bound to keep.

FOR YOU
Pairings: Ghost face!Ajax x Fem!reader Summary: Ajax is Ghost face. Warnings: Mention of Knives, blood, death, murder. bullying Note: let's just pretend he has a different power and has actual hair instead of snakes.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
the killings had started a month ago, the mister Ghost face man would mess and prank with the victims over their phone, then fuck with them before they kill them.
the body's were turning in in worse conditions than the last, getting more graphic and morbid.
The first victim, Rowan Laslow. left laying in the Nightshades library, neck snapped.
then a few days later, Tyler Galpin, his lifeless body spread out in the forest on the edge of the town.
the next week, Kent, left in the bottom of the lake with a leg missing
a week later, the Mayors son, Lucas, limbs snapped in all different directions as he laid in front of Pilgrim world.
the day after they went after Gabrielle white, the girl who tortured you for years. leaving her hanging upside down from a tree, her neck half cut off.
and only yesterday they claimed their sixth victim, the boy you had been dating for a few months, the boy who also cheated on you but convinced you to stay. Clifford Wates.
his body parts scattered all over the archery field with an arrow in his eye and chest.
-
you stood frozen in the quad, staring at the figure standing on the opposite you on the other side of the fountain.
your mouth was agape as you looked at the figure in a mask and a long, black coat, covering their entire body, including their big gloved hands that held a large, bloody knife.
they took a step around the fountain, making you take a step away from them, your breath hitching as they lifted the knife.
you backed up and ran away, getting away as fast as you could to escape the scary figure
--
You held your breath as you hid behind a corner, the opposite side of the but if you crossed the corridor you knew they would be there, ready to grab you.
the deep raspy voice calling out your name in disappointment over and over again, clicking their tongue.
their voice sounded familiar, but you couldn't pin-point it, it sounded like any other guys' voice
"you should know better than to run away" he sighed
he sounded like he was at the end of the hall, but with the mask making him sounded muffled you weren't too sure, but he was dragging the knife along the bricked wall, making a screeching noise that irritated your ears.
"what's you next move?" he called huskily.
you looked at the stairs and bit your tongue as you built up the courage to make a run for it.
but before you could even take a step he appeared in front of you
"boo!" he yelled at you, making you scream in fright and start running the opposite direction on the stairs.
it was too late at night for anyone to hear you, it was way past the curfew and everyone would probably be in their beds sleeping or watching a movie. the only reason you weren't was because you were in town for the afternoon and the bus back get broken down, making you late.
he called your name again, his tone getting angrier the more you run and hide. you managed to run through the halls in a full circle, going about to the stairs again and running up them, hearing him behind you
"Leave me alone!" you begged, hearing his loud footsteps on the stairs
you stood blocked yourself with a table, letting it be in the way from him get to you as you looked over at the stairs to the girls dorms next to you.
you heard him laugh, gripping the knife tighter in his hand as he pointed it at you.
you got a better look at the figure.
the long cloak reaching the floor covered the entirety of his lanky and tall figure. The long white mask covered in blood.
he tilted his head, tapping his big black boots on the wooden floor with loud thuds, matching the pace of your beating heart as you shuddered at the thought of him using the blood stained knife on you.
Him dragging the blade along the skin that was exposed, tearing the skin, or jabbing the blade into your flesh before taking it out, letting the thick red liquid seep through the cut, blemishing your clothes that clung to your sweaty body, decorating you in the prettiest of red.
you imagined your still, lifeless body laying on the wooden floor, a pool of blood beneath your dead corpse with him towering over you, with a smile hiding beneath the disguise. it made your your skin crawl at the thought of dyiing like that
"please leave me alone" you cried
"I'm sorry, sweetheart, but I can't do that, I'm going to have to k1ll you" he chuckled beneath the mask
you started becoming dizzy, feeling the blood gush out of your head, making you feel lightheaded, wondering if he had stabbed you yet.
realising that he hadn't, you pushed the table against his figure harshly. making him stumble back, giving you time to run up the stairs, but he gained his balance as quickly as he got up, launching himself at you at you ran for the stairs.
he held onto your leg tightly, grazing his knife against your ankle, making your yelp.
you kicked his hand away vigorously, managing to boot him in the face, making him groan in pain.
you sprinted up the stairs, tripping over your feet at the top.
you pushed yourself up and looked down the stairs, seeing the mystery killer gone, no where to be seen.
you sighed, stumbling into your room and pressing yourself up against the door, resting your head against it.
your phone rung, making you jump in fright. you picked it up seeing it was your best friend, Ajax.
you answered it and pressed it up to your ear as you sobbed, beginning to hyperventilate.
"hey" his soft, calm voice helped you calm down a bit
"hi" you muttered tiredly
"are you ok? I didn't see you much today" he asked, he sounded a little uncomfortable
"yeah, I went into town" you stated
"are you crying?" he questioned softly
"no not really" you admitted
"what's wrong? did those boys harass you again?" he spoke sternly now
"no, I just- I mean I got harassed by some dude in a costume with a knife, he was chasing me around the school" you replied weakly
"what? he's in the school? are you alone?" he interrogated
once you told him you were he told you to go to his room where he would be there to comfort you and keep you safe. so there you were. at the bottom of the stairs, looking around your surroundings to see if you could find them.
you slowly made your way to Ajax's room, getting the the hall of the Boys' rooms to see a black silhouette shining in the moonlight
you gulped
"Ajax?" you called out quietly, having the feeling he was waiting for you.
but when he turned around your stomach dropped, making you want to faint.
the ghost man was standing in the way of Ajax's room, not giving you access to safety as he lifted the knife with his head tilted
"what's wrong, it looks like you've seen a ghost?" he taunted
"why can't you just leave me alone?" you sobbed
"I can't leave you alone, darling, that seems cruel" he laughed lowly
"it's cruel to threaten to hurt me!"
"hurt you?" he questioned "I'd never dare to hurt you, my love. I'm protecting you"
"who even are you!?" you snapped
he walked closer to you at a dangerously slow pace, not seeming threatening enough for you to walk back
he stood in front of you, the blade pointing to the ground as he ignored your question
you quickly to the knife off him and pointed it at him
"I wouldn't do that" he sighed
"why not?" you glared
"you should know better" he replied cockily
you heard a creek behind you, making you turn your head to see another one of him, only taller, and with a bigger knife.
before you could react, the original man wrapped his hand around your mouth, silencing your screams when he snatched the kn1fe off you
"don't be scared" he whispered in your ear as you tugged on his arms to release you
you watched at the blood from his costume transferred onto your skin, painting a worn out red against your flesh
you tugged onto his cloak as he dragged you back as you trembled in fear and struggled to breath
your hands explored his body harshly, smacking and pulling onto his clothes until you managed to get to his mask.
but he pushed you away before you could pull it of his face
"what's wrong? did I touch a sensitive spot. are you ugly?" you smirked
"Quite the opposite" he said confidently
"then you shouldn't be so nervous to show me then, I might even fall in love if you're lucky" you spoke sarcastically
he reached up and took off his mask tentatively.
he held the mask in his gloved hand and looked at you in the eyes in amusement
"Ajax?" your voice broke as you took a step back
"why so surprised, sweetheart?" he raised his eyebrows
you took a second to take in his features in the moonlight
his messy hair falling to just above his shoulders, pressing up to his neck.
the blood scattered over his features. a dried patch that dripped from his big nose. a trail that ran down his pink, plump lips, the splatter on the top of his neck, and the drips and patched decorating his cheekbones and loose stands of hair clung to his forehead due to the dried red thick liquid on his head.
he looked beautiful under the deep dim light.
but he looked like a monster just as much, and you hated it
"please tell me that's paint" you whimpered
"would that make you feel better?" he knitted his eyebrows together, looking concerned, but you didn't buy it
you only nodded in response, having the feeling that you can't speak, your lungs produced no air that let you breath or talk.
"it's paint then" he answered with smile on his murderous face
"why don't I believe that?" you shook your head in disbelief
"probably 'cause it's not paint" the other boy snorted
"Xavier?" you muttered
"who else would it be?" he smirked at you with his mask on his head
"I've got it from here, thanks" Ajax shooed his friend away, making him walk away with a suggestive wink
"this isn't funny" you breathed through your nose
"I mean I would say that too but the way you got scared was pretty funny" he giggled
"you threatened to kill me, Ajax! there's nothing funny about that, you are horrible" you growled
"yeah, the knife was bit too far, huh?" he looked down at it, playing with the blade with the tip of his index finger
"every bit about this is too far, you are insane! what is wrong with you?!" you cried out
"I did this for you" he huffed
you couldn't fathom the amount of emotions you had for the boy in the moment.
you couldn't believe that he threatened to hurt you
you hated that he thought this was funny
you felt sad that he would do this to you
you were angry that he still looked gorgeous, even with his face painted in red.
he looked like your best friend, but he wasn't, this wasn't the Ajax you knew.
this was someone else.
you wanted to scream and shout at him, you wanted to punch and kick him, you wanted to run your hands through his hair and make him stop, you wanted to kiss him and tell him that you loved him.
but you didn't, you couldn't.
it wouldn't feel right if you did, because you didn't love this boy, you loved Ajax.
"why?" you murmured
"haven't you noticed?" he smiled wickedly. he licked his lips and took a step closer to you
"Rowan threatened to hurt you in the Nightshade's library and threw you against the shelves. Tyler stood you up on your date to look for wild berries in the woods. Kent almost drowned you in the lake while fighting. Lucas bullied you in front of Pilgrim world. Gabrielle tortured you for years at the tree you always sit against while reading. And Clifford, cheating on you multiple times after competing in archery with you for months, turns out he's the one with bad aim" he explained
all the placed they left their lifeless body's where the places that they hurt you, they places where they left you crying.
"I did it all for you, they can't hurt you anymore, it's just us now" he grabbed your hand as a tear fell from your eye
"it's not just us now, there will never be an us" you responded bitterly.
as much as you wanted to be with him, the years of wishing he would ask you out ran out the door. you didn't want this boy, not like this.
"why not? why can't there be?" he questioned
"why? Ajax look at you! covered in people's blood holding a knife at me!" you scoffed
"I can put it away if that's what you want" he held it down, behind his back to not scare you.
"I want Ajax, I don't want whoever this is, I want my best friend, I don't want a murderer!" you groaned
"what do you mean? it's me, I am your best friend" he smiled in confusion.
"no, my best friend wouldn't do this, my best friend is shy, innocent, adorable and sweet and you are none of those things, he would never hurt anybody intentionally" you shook you head
"what do you want from me? I got rid of all of the people that have hurt you, what else could you possibly want?" his gaze softened as he looked at you longingly and pleadingly.
"well now you've hurt me" you said as he squeezed your hand lightly
"what are you saying?" he whispered
you shrugged his hand away from yours
"I'm saying stay away from me or I'm telling the police" you begun walking away from him, rushing back to your room.
--
you made a point to annoying people that you didn't really like, provoking them to say bad things and cause fights with you.
and the next few days after those, they would be announced missing and dead. making you smile knowing who's behind them.
------------------------------------------------
I have quite a few ideas for Ghost face Xavier and Ajax, so if you wanna see them just let me know!

Tumblr media
Everyone had seen Y/n and Xavier coming day one, way before either of them even had the thought to like each other. They bonded early on just because their powers complemented each other - Xavier having the ability to bring art to life, and Y/n having the ability to travel between realities. Something that sounded crazy powerful, except that multiversal travel cost too much energy for Y/n to pull off, so he usually did much smaller scale things - like traveling into pictures or paintings or tv shows or books.
It had been a lot of fun to travel the worlds that Xavier created, and he enjoyed bringing the art to life and watching what Y/n did when he was exploring it all. Xavier could give extra friends or weapons or sights for Y/n to enjoy just by putting two pictures together, next to each other, or adding something to the drawing. They spent a lot of time goofing around this way.
The friendliness had turned to something much more when Xavier had made his move by drawing himself into a picture, and then adding it onto the end of a picture Y/n had traveled into. The little him was in a romantic scene; gazebo strung with lights, hair tied back and in a suit. He drew something Y/n would like to wear as an option, before he got to play with them dancing and going on adventures and eventually, falling in love. It was so easy to flirt when you could control every little detail of what was and wasn't around you - all that he really had to do was create a hundred cheesy scenarios to drop the hints he needed and then not hide his blush when Y/n exited the paintings later.
One day Y/n took Xavier into a picture he had taken. It had taken a lot of effort, but he had accomplished it - and then they were stuck in a moment where they were alone, able to explore or sit and chill. They had ended up kissing there, all of the reactions from Xavier being unable to be hidden and all hesitation being broken, because now Y/n was sure that Xavier really meant what he was doing. Their dating life had been rich and sweet and long lasting. They didn't often indulge in excessive PDA, preferring to just sit next to each other and touch shoulders, or hold hands while walking around, or sharing comments during class that no one else was allowed to hear. Subtle things enunciated with blushes and sweet grins and shining eyes that gave them away even in being the small moments they were.
For their year anniversary, Y/n had wanted to do something as special as their relationship. To do something dramatic and sweet. To make a marker of the event. A whole year being sickly in love and handling that asshole called Life together. They had survived Hyde's and Wednesday Addams and ghosts of hellish town's past, and evil teachers - even small things like some jerk ruining Xavier's mural, or tension between Y/n and Bianca because Bianca had liked Xavier but Y/n had gotten him. It was a monumental achievement - Y/n wanted to do something spectacular.
He wanted Xavier to meet his parents.
Y/n's parents were dead; they had died before Y/n was even in double digits. Y/n was in the system, spending Summers bouncing from home to home. Parents day had been... rough, for Xavier and Y/n. They had spent it together, watching movies to forget what they were feeling.
But Y/n remembered his parents. He knew that they had been good to him, and that they would have loved Xavier. That they would have welcomed him into their home and into their family. He would have felt the familial love and support he had deserved. So.... yeah, he wanted Xavier to meet them.
There was one picture that Y/n had of his parents. A few days before they had passed away they had been on the couch cuddling, talking quietly to each other and grinning from ear to ear. Y/n had taken the picture, wanting to show what he had meant when he said that it made him so happy to see him they were still so in love.
The plan was simple. Go into the picture, give his parents as vague a run down as they'd allow, and then set everything up so that he could pull Xavier into the picture with him. At least one trip, and then he could feel all of the things that Y/n's parents had to offer, and then they could be done. Or maybe come back again sometime... The thing was, Y/n had never traveled into pictures with people in them. It had always been about the landscape - going to a place no one could reach them. But this was entirely something different. Y/n had to account for the extra energy of bringing the memory of these people to life, and then the emotional stress of talking to them and trying to keep it balanced on what they had to know or wanted to know and what they could know.
He should have known it would go wrong.
Y/n could feel it the second he tried to jump. The usual feeling of slotting into a place, like a click, felt more like a stretch. A squeeze. It knocked all the breath out of him and sent his brain spinning. In the disorientation, he thought about Xavier as he always did when things went a little wrong, trying to ground himself. And then very suddenly it felt like he had been ripped away, yanked aggressively in a completely different direction. His stomach lurched and then he came to a still and stumbled to get his feet under him. He managed to catch himself on a wall, closing his eyes to steady himself as he placed his hands behind him, bracing himself on the familiar Nevermore walls.
Okay. That was rough.
He realized his ears had been ringing when suddenly it died down and the sound was taken over by the chattering of several voices. Y/n opened his eyes, looking around to see a large set of thankfully familiar faces. Wednesday's piercing eyes, burning into him with a cold like fire. Enid's half-anxious, half-curious expression with her wide eyes and unsure smile. Eugene hiding behind Wednesday like Y/n was a bomb about to go off. Even Ajax, who had a protective hand on Enid's shoulder, eyes taking in as much as he possibly could to analyze the risk in front of him.
And Xavier.
Oh thank god.
"Xav..." he tries to push off of the wall and move toward his boyfriend but his feet wouldn't move. He just tilts and then keeps going as the world turns to black around him.
He wakes up in a hospital wing bed. He recognizes it from all the times he had traveled before, when he was learning how to control his abilities and testing their limits. Now it was a comfort and he relaxed for a moment.
"He's awake."
Y/n opened his eyes, knowing that sitting up wouldn't be a good idea. He blinked a few times to adjust to the lights - which was easy because it seemed to be evening. Not dark enough to require florescent lights, but enough that the sun wasn't in his line of sight. It meant he could look around a lot sooner, scanning the faces around him. Mostly nurses, and Weems. Then Enid, Wednesday, and - Xavier.
Y/n relaxed as the principal approached him first. "Hey," Weems greeted with a half-worried, half-friendly smile. It felt awkward, distant - very different from the many other times Weems had treated Y/n like she was his mother.
He smiled anyway, nodding back. "Hi." Maybe she was tired today and was just relieved to see he was okay. Y/n looked over to Xavier and smiled as well, and for some reason that surprised Xavier a lot. Y/n frowned when Weems stepped between them. He looked back up at her and his eyebrows came together at the awkwardness in her face. "Professor," Y/n began. "What's going on?"
Weems took a steadying breath, bracing herself. Y/n didn't understand the somber mood... until she began to speak. "Sweetheart, you seem very comfortable here and familiar with me. And it pains me to say that I don't know who you are. None of us do. Are you perhaps lost, or confused?" Her eyes narrowed in stress as she saw Y/n look away.
Y/n's brain was spinning, mind trying to make sense of the weird distance suddenly present. The way they were acting aligned with what she was saying, but factually it was all incorrect. He could remember time after time that he had gotten into a bout with Wednesday because he was as curious as she was and complained less when she dragged him into her shenanigans. He could remember sparring Bianca - never winning but always dragging it out long enough that she'd grin with victory, as if beating him never got boring. He could remember being dragged along to get snacks with Ajax, sneaking out with shushing and giggling and bad whispering. He could remember helping Enid paint her boat; helping Enid paint her nails and do her hair; helping Enid buy make up; helping Enid with her homework... and getting all of that help back when he needed it. He could remember getting to know Eugene through Wednesday, and getting to know Wednesday through Enid, and getting to know Enid through Ajax, and getting to know Ajax through Xavier.
Xavier.
He looked at the taller boy and saw that same lack of recognition. His heart broke.
"Oh," he whispered. He hadn't gone home after all. What was Nevermore if no one knew him? What was Nevermore if it wasn't the place where he learned and laughed and pranked his friends and fell in love and found family like they were collectibles and almost died because of Wednesday or got dragged into a competition because of Enid or faced off with Bianca or helped Ajax when he got carried away, or... or....
Who was he if this wasn't his home? If he didn't belong?
A hand rested on his shoulder and he found himself looking up into Enid's tender gaze. It pained him to see her kindness filtered through eyes that did not recognize him. Though, it was a little nice to see her smile anyway. "Why don't you start with your name? There's obviously a lot going on for you right now, let's work through it together."
Y/n almost burst into tears. Half because of the incredible loss he was feeling, and half because of the relief that washed over him and the way it touched him to the core of his heart.
"Okay. I'll, uh, try to explain." He thought back to what happened and scrunched up his eyebrows. "I have this ability to travel through images - sort of like how-" he cut off suddenly, stopping himself from revealing that he knew what Xavier's quirk was. It might not be smart to say that he knew these people when they didn't know him. "Uh, like Blue's Clues," he added with a tight throat instead. "When Joe or Steve zoom into pictures or art or cards, it's like that. I do it to basically everything. My mentor," he said slowly, instead of using Weem's name, "explained that I have the ability to weaken the barrier between realities enough for me to pass through. I've never been able to do anything crazy with it, though I did try time traveling once and succeeded." He winced. "I had food poisoning for four days but other than that-" he shrugged. "It's just draining."
"What happened before you came here?" Weems prompted.
For a second, Y/n lost himself in thought and forgot these people saw him as strangers. It was just so habit for him to open up to her completely. "Well, my parents died when I was young, but they were really great people. And my boyfriend has parents but not good ones, so I was thinking of pushing the limits of my abilities and introducing him to them. Nothing too crazy - just going into a picture of them when they were alive and letting them meet. Just once. But, I didn't want to raw dog hop in without seeing if it would even work, or if my parents would freak out... I was going to introduce myself, now that I'm older and stuff." He ran a hand through his hair and sighed, shrugging. "I've never gone into a picture with people in it before. Something went wrong and I thought of-" he swallowed. "Of home. And I came here. Maybe it was... the closest approximation. I seem to have traveled... dimensions, of some sort." He shrugged again. The shock was wearing off and the anxiety was sinking in. His shoulders sagged, unable to look at any of them.
"An alternate dimension?" Someone said slowly, and Y/n started suddenly. Shit. He'd said too much. The quizzical eyes of Wednesday Addams bore into him, and without their friendship guarding him from any significant harm, for the first time in their entire relationship she scared him. Before she had always ignored him. He was inconsequential. But now he was a threat. Wednesday had dealt with threats before - always without a lick of mercy.
He took a moment to come up with something to say. All he could think of was, "This isn't home."
"But it was," Weems said slowly. "Before you traveled." Y/n just nodded.
Something stirred in Wednesday's eyes. Y/n finally looked away. "You know us." It wasn't a question.
A very heavy silence settled in the room. "Does that mean... your boyfriend knows us too?" This was Enid, and Y/n closed his eyes as she put more pieces together than he wanted her to. If it came out that he was dating Xavier, he might throw up. He couldn't handle the wrong reaction from Xavier right now, and he didn't know how there would be a good one. A stranger claiming to be from another dimension says he's dating you?
Y/n would freak out if it was him.
"The point is, I need to get home," is all Y/n said. Weems seemed to see that the boy had reached his limit. "Okay, everyone out. You all have homework and clubs I'm sure, and Y/n needs to get some sleep. Come on-" she guided them all out of the room, hesitating before she left herself. She turned to Y/n, a sadness in her eyes. "Your mentor... do I know them?"
Y/n scoffed, unable to handle the irony of the question. "Yeah. You know all the people that are most important to me. Makes it kind of awkward for me, gotta say."
Weems nodded, understanding clear in her expression. She didn't maybe know every detail, but she had always been a clever woman and Y/n had not been the least bit lowkey just now. "Well, no matter what, you're a student of Nevermore. If you need anything I am here for you."
Y/n just nodded, and she left. He knew that a part of her believed him, and wanted to help, but he also knew a part of her didn't truly believe him. Or, recognized that he was a danger to the precarious balance she always worked so hard to retain at her very precious school.
He lay on the bed, covering his face with his hands. Of course he had got himself into such a situation. His Wednesday would be disappointed that she had missed all the shenanigans. He fell asleep smiling at the thought.

The Real Reason Xavier Can’t Sleep
here is part 1
pairing: Xavier Thorpe x reader, really angsty Tyler Galpin x reader if you like that
summary: in which Xavier has visions about you and can’t get you out of his head, this sparks arguments with your boyfriend.
warning: Tyler and reader are in a toxic relationship, nsfw content, swearing- lots of it, insomnia
tags: more pining, all the tags from part 1, slight smut
word count: 4.5K
au where Rowan never died and is still with the Nightshades cause the character has potential and the writers wasted it
you can asks in the notes if you wanna be tagged in part 3, it’s coming soon
Xavier could feel (Y/N)’s hands running through his hair, scratching at his scalp as a cold shiver run through his body. He could feel her hot skin pressed flush against his.
As she was lying on her back in the bed, eyes half closed and arms crossed around her chest to hide it Xavier wanted to tell her how beautiful she was. How there was no reason to be embarrassed because he loved every part of her body. How much he wanted to worship every inch of her for the rest of the night. But he stayed silent. Like something heavy in his chest was preventing him from talking.
His hands instinctively found hers, gently pinning them against the bed sheets, exposing her chest to him. He wasn’t really in control of himself, feeling almost like a remote control puppet.
Xavier held his breath as he pushed himself inside of her, whimpering at the familiar sensation of her hot walls clenching around him. Like they’re done this a thousand times.
“Tyler, take it slow for me baby,” the girl winced.
Not again.
The clock read 01:30. Xavier woke up in his room, shirtless and covered in a thin sheen of sweat.
“Fucking hell,” he murmured under his breath, careful not to wake up his roommate.
Between the vision he had of a mysterious creature and this weird psychic link he had with Tyler Galpin of all people, he couldn’t remember the last full night of sleep he had in the past few months.
He knew they weren’t dreams. He was sure because of that one time he was out with his friends in the town, they were mostly window shopping then suddenly he was in the Weathervane, making out with (Y/N) at the back of the shop. Shaky hands grabbing at each other’s clothes, desperately trying to peel them off, needy mouths crashing against each other. Then the girl’s mouth started going lower and lower along his jaw to his neck. She gave him a gentle bite, probing him then she sunk her teeth in that one spot that made his knees weak. He started grinding against her desperate for some form of release, mind foggy with lust. Then he was back on the street with his friends surrounding him and looking extremely worried.
Xavier has had visions like this one in the past usually at night, waking him up from his slumber. He tried to write them off as some sort of weird wet dream of this girl he had a crush on.
But this time it was different. He was awake, it was the middle of the day. And as they were walking through the center of the town, he saw the girl who has been plaguing his mind leaving the café looking disheveled and flushed. And then he saw her boyfriend lean in to give her a kiss goodbye, the hickey she just left on him still visible. Xavier ran a hand over the base of his neck where he could still feel the ghost of her teeth like it happened to him. But it was Tyler. He was Tyler for a few moments; he saw the world through his eyes.
Tumblr media
There was no going back to sleep no matter how hard Xavier tried tossing and turning. The bed was too hard, the sheets were too scratchy, and the cover was too warm.
He sneaked outside through a window and went to the shed he’s been working on restoring. Weems said if he did a good job she’d let him use it as an art studio. Since he’s having trouble sleeping he’s been going there more and more often. He even got a small mattress in the corner, covered in a sage green sheet. He liked that color a lot.
Xavier’s biggest problem was that his connection to Tyler seemed to activate whenever he was having strong emotions like when he was having sex with his girlfriend in the middle of the night. But not only that. He also saw them going on dates and having late-night chats about their lives and dreams. Xavier hated himself but he ended up falling in love with this woman he barely knew.
Without really having a plan in mind he grabbed a clean canvas and started painting her. The curvature of her neck, the valley of her breasts, the plumpness of her lips.
“I’m just doing this to get it out of my system,” he excused himself to no one in particular.
He felt dirty drawing the naked figure of someone who never undressed in front of him, who never gave him permission to, who probably barely remembers him.
Ever since that day when she drove him back to school and he snapped at her, they haven’t spoken much. They acknowledge each other on the street when they pass by one another, they exchange polite smiles and waves from a distance, sometimes a courteous ‘hi’ and ‘how are you’ followed by ‘nothing much, you?’ and a shrug. The conversations never last as much as Xavier wishes they did. He even tried apologizing for the way he acted the last time they talked but she just brushed it off as if it was nothing.
Xavier lost count of the hours he spent perfecting the painting he made, but it was light outside by the time Bianca opened the door and let herself in.
“We’ve been looking everywhere for you. Are we still going to the Fair?”
Tumblr media
“Morning, sleeping beauty!” Bianca cheered sarcastically. “You’ve been drooling on my shoulder.”
Xavier assessed the situation. He was in the car with the Nightshades. Rowan was driving. Bianca was right next to him in the backseat, mushed between him and Ajax.
“Sorry, I haven’t been sleeping well recently,” he excused himself and then lowered his voice so that only Bianca could hear it. “You know, you could help me with that.”
“For the last fucking time, Xavier, I’m not using my siren song on you. Ask again and I’ll never speak to you.”
“Please, I’m going insane, you have to help me!”
“You guys don’t have to whisper,” Rowan chimed from behind the wheel. “We know about Xavier’s obsession with the normie girl.”
“Not as obsessed as you are with Wednesday!”
The car shook violently as Rowan parked it with a little too much force next to the forest that lead to Nevermore. A howl was heard in the distance as the group walked out of the car still arguing. They had to speak louder to cover the music and everyone else at the Fair talking.
“My mom had a vision about her, you know that. I have to figure out what it meant.”
“Well, I have visions, too. And I need them to stop.”
He even told his therapist about this girl (sparing her some of the raunchier details) and started taking medication that’s supposed to suppress his visions. They haven’t been very effective. At this point he was so desperate he was willing to ask his dad for help.
“Was it her you were painting the other morning?” Bianca asked after the rest of the group was far enough for them not to hear.
Xavier was really hoping Bianca didn’t see his drawing when she came by his shed. It was too embarrassing to explain himself and anything he’d say tasted like a lie on his lips.
It’s just a painting, it doesn’t mean anything.
I draw naked people all the time.
I just wanted to get it out of my system.
Bullshit.
“You really need to talk this out with her. Maybe she knows something about why you’re having these visions.”
“I wouldn’t even know where to begin-“
“You’ll think of something.”
Bianca gave a wide smile and a dramatic wave to someone to their right and Xavier turned in that direction. (Y/N) was leaning on her arm next to an archery booth looking around as if she was waiting for someone. When her eyes landed on the two of them she gave them a salute.
“It’s not polite to let her wait for you. You’ve got this.”
Bianca gave her friend a little shove in the right direction and he stumbled. The girl of his dreams (visions?) wasn’t far away and he was headed right in her direction whether he wanted to or not. Xavier tried to fight the stupid smile that was spreading across his face as he was approaching her. He lost.
“Haven’t seen you in a long time,” the girl observed.
“Yeah, I haven’t gone out in the town lately.”
The girl furrowed her brows with concern as she leaned in, giving Xavier a closer inspection. It made him inhale a sharp breath. She smelled like cotton candy and the earth after it rained. He closed his eyes for just a second, enjoying her smell and her presence. When he opened them again, the girl was still studying him so carefully, the same way you may study a puzzle you're trying to solve.
“Did you sleep well last night?”
Did she know? Could she tell that she was the reason he hasn’t slept a wink last night? Or barely at all for the past month? Could she read his mind?
He was becoming paranoid.
“I look that bad, huh?”
A shy smile tugged at the corner of her lips. “Not at all. Just tired. I could make you a tea for insomnia, it does wonders.”
There she goes again. No one in Xavier’s life treats him like this. Like he deserves to be fawned over, protected, taken care of. He was always the strong one in his family, the emotional pillar for his parents, the one his mom would go to for advice or when she needed a shoulder to cry on. All of his girlfriends and even his friends say he’s a good listener, that it’s easy to open up to him but very rarely do they ask about his feelings. And no one tries to make it better the way (Y/N) does.
It’s like she’s the only one who sees how broken he is and knows how to fix him.
“I’ve been taking some meds, they haven’t kicked in yet. But thanks anyway, it’s nice that you offered.”
“It can’t hurt to try. Come by the Weathervane on Monday? I work there now. I’ll make you a tea free of charge,” she points her last words on his shoulder.
Xavier grabs at his shoulder and makes a grimace as if it hurt, but really it didn’t. He just likes the way the girl looks at him when she worries about him.
“Wouldn’t that get you in trouble?”
“I like trouble,” she winks. “Usually my dashing smile and smooth talking get me out of pretty much anything. I got the boss wrapped around my finger.”
He could see that. She was hard to stay mad at. Hard to say no to. If there was someone who could get away with murder simply by being charming it would be her.
“I didn’t mean with your boss.”
Xavier regretted his words almost instantly. The change on the girl's face was almost imperceptible. He might have missed it if he wasn’t paying close attention to her. The amused spark in her eyes, the one he was so enamored with, died. It made him shiver.
He shouldn't have brought it up.
“Tyler doesn’t have to know. Plus, he has nothing to hold against you. He’s the one in the wrong. By the way, I’m still sorry for what happened that day. I can’t help but feel guilty, like if I hadn’t talked to you none of it would’ve happened.”
Xavier couldn’t imagine a world where he didn’t know (Y/N). He didn’t even want to think of a different universe where he was so engrossed in his work he didn’t notice the girl with stars in her eyes preparing her concert, didn’t hear her playing. A world where they both pass right by each other like ships in the night, neither ever truly seeing the other. What a nightmare.
Sure, slowly falling in love with her through another man’s eyes hurt. But never knowing her would be worse.
But he couldn’t say that, could he?
“You couldn’t have known. And if anything, I should be apologizing, I came to you first... to move the piano.”
And he’d do it again, a thousand times.
“Right,” the girl smiled wistfully as if reliving a happy memory. “Thanks again for that.”
“By the way, are you still playing on this year’s Outreach day?”
She shook her head in disappointment.
“No, this Nevermore girl– Wednesday, she’s playing a cello solo this year. She’s new and struggling to fit in, at least it’s what the mayor told me.”
“It’s a shame. I was looking forward to listening to you again. You really have a gift.”
The girl looked down bashfully and Xavier felt a rush of pride. It was usually her who made him blush. He almost wanted to gently grab her chin and make her look up at him. He’s gotten even taller than he was when they met. He wondered if she noticed that.
He leaned back into the archery booth that was behind him, trying to look casual. He realized he’s been beating around the bush and completely forgot why he was there talking to her in the first place. How was he going to break this to her lightly?
“You know how I said I was a seer, right?”
The girl nodded diligently.
“Yes, like your father.”
Xavier tried not to make a face at the mention of his father. They weren’t exactly on the best of terms. He gulped, doing his best to pick the next words that came out of his mouth.
“Tyler,” the girl chimed suddenly.
Xavier’s blood ran cold at the sight of Tyler coming towards them holding a water bottle that he handed to his girlfriend. He then gave her a quick peck on the cheek.
“Do you mind?” he asked Xavier tauntingly. “We’re on a date.” He then turned around to his girlfriend. “Do you want me to win something for you babe?”
Xavier crossed his arms trying to look unbothered although the sight in front of him hurt more than a hundred needles poking his heart at once. It was different seeing them together like this than when he had the visions. In those Tyler wasn’t really visible, since he was seeing everything through his eyes. In those visions, he could pretend he was the one (Y/N) was kissing.
Tyler went to pay the guy behind the counter at the archery booth some money and the guy handed him a plastic bow and arrow and explained to him how to win. Xavier couldn’t help but snicker watching Tyler fail miserably at the game. There was something vindictive about the sight.
“Shut up! What are you doing here anyway?” he asked annoyed. “Don’t you have some kinda restraining order against me?”
He shot his target and missed again. His hands were gripping the object so tightly his knuckles turned white.
I could easily win a toy for her, Xavier thought.
Actually, he just might.
“As long as you can be civil for one night, I’m not gonna go to the police.”
Xavier tried to remain calm and composed in order to not betray how much his heart was beating in his chest. He wasn’t even sure if the cause was the beautiful girl standing close to him or the stress of facing his attacker for the first time in almost a year. He wasn’t afraid of Tyler, per se, but he made him uneasy. Like the feeling you get when you watch a horror movie and foreboding music starts playing.
Without breaking eye contact with Tyler Xavier threw some money on the counter and reached his hand out towards him waiting to be handed the bow. Tyler pushed it in his hands a little more forceful than needed.
“I’m not gonna hide from you forever, dude. Until I finish school, we have to share this town. Get used to it.”
Xavier moved his attention to the target and shot his first arrow. He needed to hit the bull three times to get the big frog plushy the girl seemed to be eyeing that night. He could do it.
“It’s not the town I have a problem sharing,” Tyler muttered.
Xavier told himself to relax before releasing the arrow and hitting his target perfectly. Bull’s eye. Two more.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“You just love playing stupid, huh Thorpe? I’m not blind, I know what you’re after,” he leaned towards Xavier so close he could see his freckles. “At least you healed surprisingly well, I was sure my shoe was gonna leave a scar on your forehead. I was going to make you the next Harry Potter.”
“Maybe you’re not as strong as you think you are,” Xavier commented, his eyes still on the target.
“Cut it out, both of you!”
Xavier could hear the anger and fear in (Y/N)'s voice and he hated himself for being partially the cause of that. What made him feel even more guilty was how his body reacted to hearing her enraged and commanding voice. It reminded him of a dream - or a vision? he wasn't sure - he had not so long ago. In which she was yelling at him for something he'd done that upset her and somehow in the middle of the argument her hands took a hold of his hair and pulled his face close to hers. She started kissing him feverishly.
He visibly gulped as he tried to suppress the memory. He almost lost focus, but he still managed to hit the target. Not dead center, but close enough to still get the prize. One more.
It seemed Tyler noticed the effect his girlfriend had on the tall boy he hated so much. He tried to bite down a smirk.
“You’re right babe, I’m sorry,” he said turning towards his girlfriend, burying his head in the crook of her neck. “Did I tell you how sexy you look in that dress? Are you wearing it all for me?”
He didn’t need to say it as loud as he did, but Xavier knew it was intentional, to make him lose concentration. And it worked. For a fraction of a second, his eyes slid from his target to (Y/N) and the pretty black dress covering her body, then to Tyler’s hand gripping her hips so tight like he was afraid she was gonna fall. Or run away. Xavier took the last shot with shaky hands and failed.
“Too bad,” Tyler coed mockingly reaching out his hand. “You shot your shot and you missed. It’s mine now.”
Xavier had a feeling he wasn’t talking about the game.
The tension was so thick you could cut it with a knife. The two boys were staring at each other, neither wanting to back down. Xavier realized just how stupid he was for being there just to poke Tyler further. He didn’t know what he expected to happen. That the girl of his dreams was just going to fall in his arms, begging him to save her from evil Tyler? Yeah, sure.
Maybe he wanted revenge on Tyler for what he did to him. To show him up and humiliate him. Maybe he just wanted to spend a little more time with her. To see her up close a little more. Hear her voice a little more. Stare into her eyes. He didn’t realize how much he missed her presence till he got it back. That asshole was so lucky that he got to have her all to himself and he didn’t even appreciate it. He should be worshiping the ground she walks on. Like he would.
“Stop ogling her,” Tyler pushed him against the archery stand. “She wouldn’t fuck a freak like you.”
Xavier stood up straight, reminding Tyler that he was much taller than him. A scared look surfaced on his face for just a second before it was replaced with an angry scowl. It gave Xavier a rush of confidence.
“Careful now,” he egged him on. “You don’t have your buddies with you anymore to help.”
“That’s enough. I don’t want any of you hurt again."
(Y/N) put her hands on both of the guys’ chests and pushed them apart forcefully. The same warm almost electric feeling passed through Xavier’s body as it did every time she touched him.
“Don’t cream your pants, Thorpe. She barely grazed you.”
“What is your problem, teddy?” the girl questioned her boyfriend.
Xavier knew that nickname. Teddy. Teddy bear. It’s what she usually called him in the sweet moments when they got along. When they were cuddling on the couch, watching a movie, having morning coffee together. In his delusion, Xavier almost convinced himself that she was calling him that.
“No, don’t teddy bear me! He is the problem! Why do you insist on taking his side? Do you have a thing for outcasts all of a sudden? You think his dick glows in the dark or some shit?”
“You’re being paranoid, just because I don’t want you going to jail doesn’t mean I wanna fuck the guy!”
The guy. This girl was everything to Xavier and he was just some guy to her. Some guy ruining her relationship with her boyfriend of many years.
“I’m not going to jail. Ever since last year, you’ve been acting like I’m some kind of ticking bomb always on the verge of exploding. Even right now you look at me like I’m a monster. Hell, do you even love me anymore?”
Tyler started walking away from both of them. “I’m done. Your new boyfriend can drive you home tonight.”
With his hands in his pockets, Tyler marched toward his car while his girlfriend (ex?) watched him leave with tears in her eyes. She seemed frozen for a few moments but right before Xavier could tell her anything, or apologize, she took off into the forest without a single word.
Xavier looked for a second at his friends who were watching the whole thing unfold from a safe distance. He found Bianca’s eyes and she gave him a subtle nod.
He took off towards where the girl was headed. She couldn’t let her wander off into the forest alone. Especially not at night. There was a monster in those woods and if something were to happen to her Xavier would never forgive himself.
“(Y/N), wait,” he gasped for air. “You’re really fast.”
The girl didn’t really stop but slowed down the pace for him to catch up with her.
“Only when I’m sad,” she sobbed. “I like to walk in the woods to clear my head. I’ve been doing that a lot lately.”
“I’m sorry I’ve riled up your boyfriend. I should’ve known he’d react this way.”
“It’s not your fault, Xavier, he’s been like this for a while now. Getting angry, breaking up with me before inevitably coming back to beg for forgiveness promising he’ll never do it again. He tells me he can’t live without me only to repeat the cycle at the slightest inconvenience.”
A familiar feeling was forming in Xavier’s stomach. Helplessness. This is what he felt like every time he saw them fight through the psychic link, which was often. Tyler would get jealous over something and throw a fit. (Y/N) would bring up a complaint she had and all hell broke loose. Lately, they’ve been fighting a lot about the new girl at Nevermore, Wednesday. It seemed like Tyler was harboring a crush on her, but every time the girl brought it up Tyler would get angry and defensive.
There were so many times when Xavier wanted to crawl out of Tyler’s mind and comfort the girl in front of him. Now was his chance. This girl was crying in front of him and he wasn’t trapped behind Tyler’s eyes anymore.
His trembling hands found their way to the small of her back, arms wrapping around the girl’s shoulders protectively like he could shield her from her own feelings. Or the people who caused them. He wanted to tell her she was safe in his arms.
She responded to the hug by pulling him closer, flushed against her body, and letting out a sob. It seemed she was starving for comfort as if no one has given her that in a long time.
“You don’t deserve this,” the words left Xavier’s mouth on their own.
She was too kind to ever suffer like that for anyone. He remembered how she treated his wounds and made sure he got home safe without even knowing him. Someone like her deserved only happiness and love.
Tyler however, deserved to have his ass handed to him a couple times. Xavier would do it gladly but he wouldn’t be able to stand how (Y/N) would look at him after that.
“He made his choice,” he whispered in her ear. “You’re just trying to protect him but he won’t listen.”
He couldn’t remember a time when any of his girlfriends were that protective of him. One of them actually was encouraging him to get into fights. But she never took care of him afterward, especially not after he lost. The closest he ever came to someone like that was Bianca who clearly had a crush on him and was very watchful of him but he never felt the same way about her. She couldn’t hold a candle to the girl crying on Xavier’s shoulder right now.
“I know what you want to say. I should just end it cause this relationship is going nowhere but… It’s not that simple. I’ve known him all my life, I don’t even have an idea as to what a life without Tyler would look like. And I just can’t say no to him when he’s crying. You don’t know how heartbroken he looks when he comes back.”
She let out another heart-wrenching sob. Xavier’s arms instinctively tightened around her, as if they could forcefully glue back the pieces of her broken heart. If only he were strong enough to do that.
He felt the girl shivering in his arms. He let her go for a second to take off his jacket and place it across her shoulders. Her dress was pretty but it didn’t do much to keep her warm. And his uniform jacket looked good on her.
“Looks to me like he doesn’t have a problem making you cry. You deserve better.”
The boy’s thumb wiped away a tear from her cheek. Gingerly, as if he was afraid she’d dissipate like a mirage the second he would touch her. Because a girl like her couldn’t be real. And if she was he could never have her.
“Thank you,” her words came out merely a whisper.
Her gaze traveled north to meet his eyes and Xavier forgot how to breathe. He could feel his own pulse in his thumb which was still resting on the girl’s face. How did she manage to become more beautiful every time his eyes laid on her? He’s never wanted to kiss anyone more in his life. He knew it was wrong but doing the wrong thing has never felt so enticing.
He was holding on to his morals by a hair strand and he knew that if she made the first step; if she leaned in and closed her eyes he wouldn’t make the smallest effort to stop her. He wasn’t strong enough. If she wanted to kiss him he would let her. So they could be wrong together.
@helluvafire you said you wanted part two.
sorry it took so long for this to arrive. i’ve been writing on it for two weeks cause i didn’t like it, i had to rewrite a lot. then i realized it was closing in on 6k words and i still wasn’t done so i decided i’ll just chop this part in two. that’s why it ends kinda abruptly.
so i’m already 1.5k words into part 3. hopefully it’s not gonna take me another two weeks to finish.
also this whole thing was written exclusively between 12pm and 4 am. i can’t seem to be able to write at normal hours.
