IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT FOR ALL BOOPERS
Tumblr media
We are halfway through the day and only 5% of the way to maxing out the global boop-o-meter. In a last-ditch effort I am releasing my automated booping script. It can run anywhere you can run python, and only requires the pyautogui and time libraries. The code is below the cut, and extremely scuffed as I am in physics not cs. Happy booping.
import pyautogui as pg
import time
def boop_spam():
    """
    Spam an account with boops. WARNING: You will not be able to use your computer while this is running, as this operates via automated mouse movements.
    Test it out with boop count of 10 to make sure you have the hang of it before picking a larger number.
    If you accidentally set it running for a very long period of time, you can either restart your computer to stop it,
    or wait for every 200th boop where there will be a 5s pause where you can click the garbage icon on your terminal
    """
    while(True):
        print("Hover mouse over the first button, then press enter")
        input()
        x1, y1 = pg.position()
        print("Hover mouse over the second button, then press enter")
        input()
        x2, y2 = pg.position()
        print("Input boop count")
        boop = int(input())
        for i in range(boop):
            pg.click(x1, y1)
            time.sleep(0.1)
            pg.click(x2,y2)
            time.sleep(0.1)
            if i%200 == 0:
                time.sleep(5)
        print("Continue? (y/n)")
        cont = input()
        if cont != 'y':
            print("Breaking")

Rose Garden Headcanons [Valentine's Day 2023]
Tumblr media
Happy Valentine's Day, everyone! A fun fact about me: my family has run a florist shop for nearly five generations now, so I have a lot of random flower-related knowledge which tends to pop up in my writing and which has inspired this event! 💐I hope you all enjoy it! 🥰
Please choose a character and build a bouquet from the flowers below by following these few rules:
You may select up to 5 headcanons per character, per request
You can mix and match from the various categories (i.e. Noelle Silva: Y3, Y4, P2, R3, and R5) or choose all from the same category (i.e. Leopold Vermillion: Pink Roses).
You may request more than one character and/or can submit more than one request.
Requests may be may anonymously if you wish.
Any characters (or OCs) from any and all fandoms I've previously written about are fair game for this event so please pick whatever you'd like!
Requests can be submitted from now until midnight on February 15th. Headcanons will begin to be posted on February 14th.
🌹🌹 Thank you so much for your requests! 🌹🌹

P3. How does their family express love to each other in general? (For instance, are they particularly doting, complimentary, or touchy-feely? Do they go all out for birthdays and other special occasions?)
P4. Do they particularly look up to or admire someone in their family? What do they admire about them? On the flip side, does anyone in their family particularly look up to or admire them?
P5. Do they want a family/children of their own one day? What kind of parent would they be, and how would they express love to their children if they had them?

R1. Are they a particularly romantic person? What do they consider to be the ideal romantic gesture?
R2. How would they tell you they loved you? (For instance, would they use words--planned out in a speech or accidentally blurted out? Or would they prefer to show you they loved you through their actions?)
R3. What do they look for in a romantic relationship? What would make them feel the most loved and supported by a significant other?
R4. How would they react to being in love? Would they want to keep it a secret--would they even be able to? Would they be awkward about it or take it all in stride?
R5. What is a love song that really suits them and why?

The Understanding And Need To Use The Slope Calculator For Error-Free Results
Tumblr media
While analyzing data and graphs, it is a daunting task to understand a line's slope briefly. In short, it tells you about the line's steepness and utters how quickly it falls or rises. Though, getting the idea of a slope of a line can be fulfilled by hand. Yet, All Calculator.net's slope calculator is an easy and quick way to solve hectic calculations and get blunder-free results.
Need to learn how to use it? Are you willing to figure out the correct slope of a line hassle-free? If yes, then you've reached the right spot. You will gain a precise idea about the significance of the slope calculator and the key steps to use it.
A gradient and slope are two names for a thing that will 'rise over the run'. In a real sense, it is a change in the y-axis divided by the change in the x-axis. A slope provides you with the information of a line, and it states if the x-value increased with 'one', then for 'how much' y-value will increase.
The slope is widely denoted by 'm', which creates a linear equation using a slope-intercept and point-slope form.
How helpful is a Slope Calculator?
Slope Calculator helps you find the slope of a line using an equation for a line or two exact points. It also facilitates you in knowing the x-intercept, slope-intercept form, and y-intercept, as well as other intercept values and a slope. Moreover, it helps you solve the parameters involving a line and a slope equation. It helps make your calculations faster and shows you the slope value instantly.
What are the easy steps to use a Slope Calculator?
Using  slope calculator is a simple process. You must provide the necessary details and click the 'submit' button. Wait for a while, and you will get accurate and clear results. Follow the steps listed below:
Find the coordinates of two points on a line: To figure out the slope of a line, you've to find the coordinates of two points on a line, such as (x1, y1) and (x2, y2). You can use a graph or data to know these two coordinates.
Input the coordinates: When you know the coordinates of two points, input these values in the calculator to get instant x and y values at each point.
Click on the 'calculate' button: Once you enter the coordinate, click on the 'calculate' icon and then the slope calculator finds the slope of a line using formulas as (y2 – y1) / (x2-x1).
Infer the final results: This online calculator helps you get an instant idea of the slope of the line. If you get a positive slope, the line goes in an upward direction from left to right, while if it is negative, it goes down from left to right. In contrast, if the slope is zero, the results for a line will be horizontal.
Why is it necessary to find the slope of a line?
The slope of a line using slope calculator is an essential concept in science and mathematics. It is used in various mathematics applications like geometry, calculus and graphing. In contrast, it is used as the rate of change in a physical quantity, like the rate of change in temperature and speed of the object. It has wide usage as it is used in economics, engineering and accurate estimations.
Don't wait for any more. Use it today and get fuss-free results right away!

Week 11 Activities (Monday)
- Kept on going with the MUSIC APP PROTOTYPE
- 10.30am Gust Lecturer - Conversation with Alister (& Will), Design at Auror - Design Systems:
Main points that make me reflect on things:
- I liked how they made the presentation on Figma & miro board, which is something new to us (in terms or programs)
- Auror - product design company, finding solutions not to have frauds and theft
- Library component is key to having all the design systems in one place and sticking to it
- Interesting to hear about the different programs they utilised over time. Figma was actually a program they only started using recently.
- I felt lucky that we are already learning these programs and systems in university, seeing how many designers (from Will's conversation) now learn it on the ay, and often after many years of being designers or graphic designers, developing skills on their own as a goal to create a design system.
-  I really liked how they planned the 6 months' work from the beginning, breaking down the workload into periods of 30 days.
- I liked how they focused on the issues to overcome as much as on the final goals.
- There is a lot of communication and self + group organisation in interaction design, which I’m very interested in
- to always approach anything with a learner's mind is key
- the key is also foundation & components in the foundation of design systems
- Activity cards: very interesting how components and a design library clear since the beginning make work so much easier
- when you put an effort to make components that are reusable, it makes also identifies how many and what components you use the most, and it finally comes down to practicality too
- very important is also the consistency in colours, apart from icons & library components
- Key is also making plans over the next “few years”/ long term plans, as a company or for big projects
ANSWERS TO Q FROM US:
What do employers look at when you graduate?
- be open to problem-solving on your own too
- be open to collaboration
- be open to feedback that you like or not
- if you don’t like some ideas, propose a plan B too, but don't get too precious with your own idea
What to include in your portfolio?
- your own work, but no stress they know we will be just out of uni.
- very important is the journey, the process, that created an idea
- more inclined to hire someone who had an internship in Y2, and could show more added value in front of someone who graduated without having had experience before.
What programs are mainly used in the working world of UI/UX/product design?
programs:  Figma & Figjam, Webflow, Psd, Illustrator for the icons and then transferred to Figma, Streamline (?). Using Mac mainly compared to Windows.
Webflow is good for INTERACTION TESTING - but you can do these things also on Figjam.
Do UI UX designers need how to code?
Will - It’s very helpful to speak the same language with developers but is not necessary.
Alister - Used to code websites, so it’s very useful to learn how coding words, even if today is not as much needed as a few years ago. You would spend a lot of time on accessibility in coding.
---- webflow - very used in UI UX design
Very valuable things Auror look for:
Experience in: UX research + Interaction design + Visual design (colour typography etc)
Contracting or working in a company?
- Best to start in a company for 4 years, and then go as a contractor (otherwise as a contractor first, might not help to adapt to the fast pace of companies, and in the meantime learn a lot).
What are the best companies to have experience in?
Camberra product design, Xero working in community but is accounting software, banks & telephone companies, matchstiq.  - great to be part of success story - when heard in work interviews are very valued.
