2. Zeebad is so fucking underrated like he tried to freeze the sun because he can. Ya killing a baby because you were weren't invited is dark, but freezing the sun for the heck of it is MUCH darker
okay so thoughts on zebede: he seems cool and all, i like his design, but god i cant read his name without thinking of the fucking spring guy from dougal
I hate him so much I just want him to combust in a fire
Doogal (United States)
According to William H. Macy, Harvey Weinstein saw the film and decided to do an American version. On 24 February 2006, the film was released in the United States as Doogal and was produced by The Weinstein Company. In the US version, where audiences are not as familiar with the series, the majority of the British cast's voice work was dubbed by American celebrities such as Chevy Chase (Train), Jimmy Fallon (Dylan), Whoopi Goldberg (Ermintrude), William H. Macy (Brian), and Jon Stewart (Zeebad). Child actor Daniel Tay plays the titular character in the United States dub.
Only two original voices remained, those of Kylie Minogue and Ian McKellen; Minogue, however, re-voiced her own lines with an American accent. The United States version also adds Kevin Smith (Moose) and Judi Dench (narrator).
Reception
On Rotten Tomatoes, it received an aggregate score of 8% based on 49 reviews (4 "fresh" and 45 "rotten"). The consensus reads: "Overloaded with pop culture references, but lacking in compelling characters and plot, Doogal is too simple-minded even for the kiddies".[9][10] It has a score of 23 out of 100 ("generally unfavorable") on Metacritic, and an F rating from Entertainment Weekly writing that "very young children should be angry... where is it written that 4-year-olds don't deserve a good story, decent characters, and a modicum of coherence?". It was placed number five on Ebert & Roeper's Worst of 2006. Screen Rant ranked it number 1 on its list of the twelve worst animated movies ever made.[11]
Randy Miller of DVD Talk says that: "Doogal is, after all, one of the worst excuses for a children's film during this or any year ... Filled to the brim with pop culture references and other such gags that'll be even less funny a few years from now, it's like Shrek without the occasional bit of charm and surprise".[12]
Michael Phillips of the Chicago Tribune described the film as "Eighty-five minutes you'll never get back." and also put it on his Worst of 2006 list.[13] Frank Scheck of The Hollywood Reporter wrote, "The key frame animation, based on three-dimensional models, is rudimentary, with none of the characters proving visually arresting." Ned Martel of The New York Times wrote, "In Doogal setting the world right again involves a badly paced quest for three diamonds, assorted jokes that don't land, and a daringly incoherent climactic confrontation."[14]
Audiences polled by CinemaScore gave the film an average grade of "B–" on an A+ to F scale.[15]

Memorable Quotes:
“Look at that Im great! Ope I’m average…. Im terrible!”
"Oh I slimed my shell.😩"
Does it hold up to how I remember?
Okay so firstly, I didn't even know this was originally a French animated film released a year prior called The Magic Roundabout. So that was pretty wack, but also makes sense because oh boy does the lip-syncing just not make any sense whatsoever! Now getting into character design, this was an uhhh interesting one to say the least, like why does the snail have so many tiny human teeth??? Why does the rabbit, Dylan (voiced by Jimmy Fallon whaaaat) always look 'intoxicated', and whyyyy is the train just existing with giant creepy eyes?? Very weird. Plus they threw out pop culture references every 10 second that gave me such whiplash, every comedic line was either a pop culture reference or a fart joke. But does it hold up to how I remember? Sadly, I gotta say this does not seem as good as I remember. It's actually kinda sad because I remember being in love with this movie as a kid and I would beg my sister to watch it with me but this just felt so obviously like a cash grab by all the celebrities there was in this movie and don't get me wrong, most of them sounded like they gave it their all and really cared but it just didn't feel the same that it used to...

Fort Imperial was zo’n versterking. ————- At Breskens the French build Fort Imperial in the early 19th century. It was part of a line of defences ment to prevent a British Invasion during the French rule in The Netherlands. After the French left the fort was renamed Fort Willem I. In 1859 the fort had become absolete and was demolished. The outlines of the fort can be seen in the @roompot park at Breskens. #fortimperial #westerschelde #napoleon #19thcentury #deltawerken #breskens #zeeuwsvlaanderen #noordzee #bestofthenetherlands #roompot #roompotbreskens #roompotzeebad #zeelandismooi #historyfound (bij Roompot Zeebad Breskens) https://www.instagram.com/p/CTfePbMMl9_/?utm_medium=tumblr
Don’t ask but last night thanks to magic roundabout wiki found out zebedee and zeebad is based off a Jack in a box, tbh I just thought original creators thought ‘combine man and mattress spring lol funny’. Now it makes better sense. Yes I am a grown adult don’t ask me what i get up to leave me aLONE-
Hey don't get me wrong, I despise Doogal and will 100% agree with any reviewer that smashes that CGI disaster into the ground; I just really like Zeebad for some reason. I love asshole characters I guess? I've kind of adopted him and turned him into a character with actual _characteristics,_ flaws and motivations and all that. Plus the movie is kind of a nostalgia trip, it just reminds me of a really chill point in my life.
