Up next is The Chain Witch, Rica Yokoyama and her weapon Horobosu! 🔮⛓️

Born as Satoko Yokoyama, Rica was born to a Japanese mother and a black father. Her mother is an alchemist while her father is a pure-blood wizard. Being born to quite eccentric individuals, Rica would grow up to be quite similarly to her parents personality wise. She made fun of, or straight up bullied because of the way she acts, leading to her secluding herself more and more to her studies. She wanted to follow her parents’ footsteps to practice her magic. Eventually, her magical abilities awaken one day, and she ended up creating magic chains out of nowhere, tying her father up. He was shocked by this, but quickly praised his daughter. He would help Rica train on her specialty: chain magic!

On her 15th birthday, Rica’s mother created Horobosu for her. Horobosu came off as a bit of a failed creation, becoming aggressive and destructive. That was until Rica managed to magically connect to Horobosu to calm him down. He then grew a liking to her, then her parents afterwards.

Rica nowadays is an active fighting competitor. Because of her skills with chain magic and using Horobosu, she got her connections to some of the most powerful champions, two of which being Troy and Desiree Parker. She would tag in as a sidekick of sorts for either of their own fights, which is a dream come true for her considering that she is a huge fan of both of them. She would then meet Jazz and her friends later in the years. Jazz sees her as a mentor of sorts, being impressed by Rica’s magic skills. (Even though rica barges into her house at times and being eccentric lol) For Horobosu’s case, he’s just chilling for the most part. Unless there is a fight, he’s either sunbathing (for some reason) or taking peaceful nature walks….very loudly.

Rica isn’t called the Chain Witch for nothing. She can create and manipulate magical chains with her bare hands. She can only summon up to 20 chains, but she can still make them longer or stronger once the limit is reached. If a chain gets damaged, there is a bit of a cooldown time before she can summon one again. With her chains, she attaches them to Horobosu so that Rica can use her special chainball attacks. She cannot manipulate manmade chains since, well, they were made by hand. (Horobosu hates them being on him). Aside from that, she can fight with hand to hand combat and learned some alchemy from her mother.

Horobosu stores magic energy inside of him in case Rica gets too powered out, only using these for emergencies. He can use magic for himself as well; he can increase his size, enhance his strength or the magic chain Rica uses for him, spit magic fireballs from his mouths, etc. He can also chomp with his teeth. Finally, he acts as Rica’s transport, rolling or floating like a magic broom.
