I sleep during the day because at night it’s peaceful and quiet but during the day I’m haunted with all of the noise

You were the unattainable dream.
The perfect scenario.
The once in a lifetime kind of lover.
So I don’t know why our ending felt so unexpected.

Don’t listen to what they say about healthy relationships.
They’ll tell you they work better and hurt you less.
The truth is that when they end they don’t just hurt, they kill you.

I cant help but wonder if you miss me.
Did you almost text me the next morning?
Do you almost reply to my stories on social media?
Or do you not think of me at all?
Does my lack of presence not hurt you like yours hurts me?
I cant help but wonder if what we had was real or not.

Lately it feels like I’m suffocating. The fog refuses to lift for no more than a few days. Drowning in my own thoughts will be a painful death. A shot to the heart would hurt a lot less.

I was trying so hard not to kill myself and was failing miserably. The mask had begun to slip little by little.

The things untouchable haunt us.
They are a constant reminder of what we will never have.

We were both mentally damaged.
We had so much in common.
We needed each other so bad it hurt.
We were both so broken.
In the end we just couldn't save each other.

Someone once asked me what silence sounds like. My answer is this; silence sounds like creaking beds and faint cries when your parents would be screaming all night. Like rain and thunderstorms on the night your grandma died.

saying goodbye is like ending your favorite chapter of a book. It needs to be done to complete the story but all your favorite words get left behind.

I always find a hard time thinking of things to write about. This really helped me get into the right headspace.

Its like you’re in slow motion.
The world is moving around you but you’re completely still.
Every memory.
Every laugh.
Every word.
You don’t know how to live in this world anymore.
You think to yourself, “how am I supposed to go on like this?”.
Because for the life of you, you can’t figure out how
No matter what anybody says or how they try to comfort you, it doesn’t help or even register in your brain
