The more @zelendur and I talk about them, the more I adore them. Atticus and Jack are such sweethearts who absolutely deserve each other and only the best.

HNNNGH I want them so badly to be happy. And while Jack wants the same, Atticus is having problems with believing Jacks true intentions.

But when they dance? Then everything is alright for a moment. Just like all those years ago when they were so madly in love. When nothing mattered but their time together. Then, when he can feel him close, holding him and guiding him through the dance, then everything is alright.

You are loved

“I wish I didn’t dream so much. All the worlds I built in my head and now the real world feels empty. It pales in comparison.”

Namjoon looks at your profile, the sadness visible even from this angle. He sighs.

“This world is magical but you don’t spend as much time in it as you do in your head. Look over there,” he says gently, and you follow the line of his arm to the people in the distance. “Do you see that little girl over there? Look at her smile as she holds out her hands to that lady. Now look at the lady. What do you see?”

You strain your eyes, searching for the answer, some stroke of insight you are obviously missing… but come up short. You shrug. He doesn’t say a word, still staring at you, an encouraging nod urging you to say something. So you do.

“The lady is holding the little girl in her arms…?”

He smiles. “She’s holding her whole universe in her arms. Look at her eyes. Can you see it? The look of pure love. It’s magic. We become so attached to each other without any reason at all. We don’t need one. And we would lay down our lives without a second’s hesitation.”

You pick at the grass beneath your fingertips, distracting yourself from feeling more than you should.

“Yeah, I guess a mother’s love is pretty nice. But not everyone has that. My mother saw me as a nuisance, nothing more.”

You feel his arm wrap around your shoulder, but you nudge it off, leaning forward to retie your laces. He doesn’t seem to notice the rebuff, leaning forward to meet your eyes. When he does, his smile is soft, his words barely a whisper.

“I’m sorry about that.”

“Why are you sorry? It’s not your fault.”

“Well, I’m still sorry. And I’m not giving up. I want you to see this world as it should be seen, a wonder-filled place where anything is possible,” he says, grabbing your hands, “A place where you are so loved.”

For anyone feeling down, please know you are loved and absolutely worth it. No reason necessary. I’ve been stuck in my head too long. Maybe you have been, too. If you can, try making yourself some tea. A walk outside would be even better if it’s sunny. Or just put on some happy music. The world is beautiful. But sometimes our glasses get a little foggy. I hope you can find beauty in something, especially in yourself.
