Ultron Mark Twelve (a.k.a Victor Shade) the good Ultron gains a new body after defeating the rebuilt Ultron and freed the supervillains from the reprogramming. Janet Van Dyne tries to talk to Old Man Hank Pym but they are interrupted by Cobra who is angry over being used by Ultron and he swears that he may hunt down the killer robot. Then, Old Man Hank Pym settles on the decision on hunting down Ultron so he and the former supervillains shrink down and teleport to Sub-Atomica of Microverse. Janet Van Dyne, Luke Cage and Nadia feel sad over Pym disappearing again. Ultron Mark Twelve reassures them that he could help them as well as he makes a new human-like face as a disguise.

hello , im the one who asked about avengers 5 .
I meant inc and what did you think about Nadia and Hank finally interacting ?
Thanks for clarifying!
I kind of... It's a complicated one. I've really wanted these two to interact for a while, so maybe I've had really high expectations, but it felt weirdly... eh? Like, Nadia idolised Hank for most of her life. He is the whole reason why she tried so hard to escape from the Red Room–she wanted to see her father, and she was heartbroken when she found out he died before she could have met him. Hank, meanwhile, only ever became a superhero because of Maria's death. That was what made him become a superhero. His wife had died, and he didn't even know she was pregnant.
And because of this, if you were gonna have them meet... I think it should have been in a Nadia book or a Hank book. Not a Janet book, because it's important for Janet to do things that aren't to do with her ex husband or her ex husband's daughter.
The moments themselves were cute, but the pacing was so strange in that issue it was hard to appreciate them, and I don't know how to feel about Hank fucking off into the void with some supervillains. Like, no, Hank is not someone who makes good decisions, I can appreciate that, but he was also someone portrayed as feeling a good deal of responsibility and love towards William, so it feels odd he would seemingly have very little actual interest in getting to know and learn about his daughter. Like even in the short moments they had I didn't feel like they majorly cared about learning about one another. Mark Waid did a better job with the fake Hank in that Nadia and Scott teamup, which had more emotional impact because you felt her emotions far more clearly from her perspective.
I'm genuinely trying not to be overly critical because I think this book ultimately wasn't for me but I do feel frustrated that this is how they met. Not one of the most impactful things to have happened in either of their lives, but in about 3 pages total in a book mostly about badly replicating Noir plots with superheroes and Ultron is there. Like, this should have been an entire issue dedicated to meeting, figuring out what their relationship is going to be, learning about one another proper and not from word of mouth. It shouldn't have been from the perspective of a character Al Ewing fundamentally does not understand and cannot write.
I dunno. I like the moments in a vacuum but as a story I felt let down in a lot of ways and this meeting after coming close to a decade of build up did not stick the landing and felt bizarrely inconsequential. Also, the Hope line mixed with Old Hank put me in far too much mind of MCU Hank for my own liking. Like, yes that's what her name means, but Hank did not know Maria was pregnant so the dialogue is. odd.

As we have left off from the previous issue, Old Man Hank Pym had been stabbed from behind by Victor Shade who is Ultron in disguise. Here, this Ultron standing over the knocked-out Old Man Pym turns out to be Ultron Mark-12, the Good Ultron. Moon Knight recognizes Ultron Mark-12 as the Good Ultron from his time in West Coast Avengers. Unlike Ultron and other drones, Ultron Mark-12 is the good robot who tries to be the good "son" to Pym and had even sacrificed itself by taking down the evil Ultron in a battle. Though years later, Ultron Mark-12 resurfaced himself by wearing Whirlwind's body and calls himself Victor Shade.
However, Janet Van Dyne and the others are left to deal with the supervillains who had been brainwashed into the reprogrammed robots on Kill Mode. Fortunately for them, the cavalry (Vision, Luke Cage, Jane Foster, Nadia Van Dyne, Ant-Man and Stinger) have arrived to help Janet, Moon Knight and Victor Shade/Ultron Mark-12. Ant-Man and his daughter stopped Black Ant from fleeing while Nadia goes up to meet her long-lost father, Hank Pym. Despite their efforts, the battle was becoming too overwhelming and evenly-matched as the Supervillain Drones kept coming back up. Janet alerts the others that Lodestone had rebuilt Ultron out of the metallic scraps lying around the basement. As the Supervillain Drones surround the heroes, Ultron Mark-12 expels his energy from Whirlwind's body and frees the supervillains from the reprogramming before destroying the rebuilt Ultron. Then, Ultron Mark-12 makes himself a new body which looks like an Ultron in a business suit. Even if this Mark-12 is the good Ultron, this is so unsettling. Old Man Pym is worried that even if the evil Ultron is gone, the robot might still be somewhere.

i love that nadia is quoiro ace and bipolar, because same, but sometimes i feel like people just treat her like token rep that they can add to a list and they just headcanon her as stereotypes instead of actually looking into her character and learning what she's really like

Relieved that Hank survived Avengers Inc. #5, but sad that his part of the story didn’t get more of a happy, hopeful ending.

Okay for real, was Nadia aged up in a sci-fi pod, because I'm pretty sure she should be 13 at the oldest.
