Hello it's 🎵 anon again! I've discovered songs for the other characters that may or may not fit:
Yuu: Young, Dumb and Broke by Khalid or Gimme Gimme Gimme by ABBA or Money On My Mind by Sam Smith or Hate Me by Nico Collins or Wonderland by Natalia Kills
Grim: Nom Nom Nom Nom Nom Nom Nom by Parry Grip
Crowley: Greedy by Ariana Grande or Money Money Money by ABBA
Crewel: Fashion by Lady Gaga or Fashionista by Jimmy James
Trein: Soft Kitty, Warm Kitty from The Big Bang Theory
Vargas: Physical by Olivia Newton
Sam: Shopkeeper Song from Undertale
Ambrose: Everything Is Not as It Seems by Selena Gomez
Chenya: Twas Brillig from Alice In Wonderland
Neige: Happy by Pharrell Williams or I won't give up by Jason Mraz
The Dwarves: Heigh Ho from Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs
Rollo: I'm Sorry I Couldn't Save You by Xinclair
Riddle's Mom: The Family Jewels by Marina and The Diamonds
Falena: Save Me by Not A Robot ft adrisaurus or Lullaby for A Princess
Cheka: I Just Can't Wait To Be King from Lion King
Rielle: Part Of Your World from Little Mermaid
Jamil's Parents: Robot or Good In Me by Jon Bellion ( I feel like it's Jamil singing this to his parents) or Afton Family by APAngryPiggy
Najma: Hey Bother by Avicii or Surface Pressure from Encanto (second one is more of Jamil to Najma tbh) or You'll Be In My Heart from Tarzan (again more of Jamil to Najma)
Vil's Dad- Superstar by CG5
And that's all for now. Please let me know if these are suitable for the respective characters.
HECK YA! nice to see ya again 🎵 anon! I do have to warn you that I don't really know a lot of the side characters that arent staff, so I might not be able to say if they do or don't fit the character. Sorry about that.
Yuu: Holy heck there are so many! But I guess that makes sense due to Yuu/Mc being a self-insert for many.
The first song is a fun and laid-back kind of beat and lyrics. Fitting for the more relaxed Mc type, happily enjoying the chaos and optimistic about the future despite any troubles.
The second song is a fun beat and song. Not really sure how to categorize this one though. Fun and good song!
Third song is really sweet, a nice beat and song with kind lyrics, this is for the Mc's that are out there to help the students of NRC, but struggle due to the financial stuff Crowley puts on them. Amazing choice!
Fourth song gives the vibes of an Mc that is in love with these toxic villains that go to this school. they're down bad despite how cruel some can be.
The last song is very fitting for the whole premise of the Twisted wonderland, using different fairy tales to call out to those they are in love with. Cool song, but didn't like the video due to its erotic nature but I could just ignore that and focus on the lyrics and music.
Grim: Roblox war flashbacks really cute song, but not much I can do with this song for Grim. A cute and fun song so thanks!
Crowley: The first song doesn't really fit him due to the fact that he would never admit that he's greedy. That's the opposite of how generous he always is! good idea but not quite.
The second song has an amazing melody right off the bat! this song is definitely fitting, could change the focus from getting a man with a lot of money to them doing better than RSA. Amazing fit, but I don't plan on writing it out. Good choice!
Crewel: The first song is a bit too intense for how he works in my head. Also, the second language that is used in the song would be hard to work with.
Second song is a lot more fitting of his personality. His commands and the way he talks to his students. PErfect fit for the fashionista teacher.
Trein: hehehe! what a cute and wholesome song for the grumpy old man. Can definitely see him singing this to Lucius when he thinks he's alone in his classroom. heck yes.
Vargas: Wow... It's a good song for him, I would just have to change a lot of the lyrics to make it more family-friendly. I like the energy just way too many innuendos.
Sam: Love this tranquil song, but there are no lyrics to change or song to write, it's great, but not quite fitting. Besides, I think the song he's got already is perfect.
Ambrose: I don't know this character, or any of the side characters much, but this song doesn't really fit his joyous attitude and kindness. Honestly think this song fits Crowley more than Ambrose. Also, A song that I think would be more fitting is "Higitus Figitus" or "that's what makes the world go around".
Chenya: Very fitting to have the Cheshire cat person sing the Cheshire cat song. Apparently, it's a part of a different song/poem, the Jabberwocky. So I might have him singing it and the mc coming into those specific lyrics. very good choice.
Neige: Both of these songs are so good for the ball of pureness that is Neige, the first song gets everyone dancing and will bring a smile to many. While the second song brings a bittersweetness that moves many to smile at times they've had in the past and to look forward to more times of joy in the future. They're perfect for him.
The Dwarves: Of course we have the little dwarves singing the original dwarves' song in the mines. Not much to say or change with this one, just perfect.
Rollo: New character I know nothing about since I try to avoid spoilers. Strange song and has fairly self deprecating vibes. Not sure if this fits him or not. not willing to look at spoilers for now over it anyway. interesting choice, I cant say much about it due to ignorance of the character.
Riddle's Mom: This woman fucking sucks. the song is amazing and shows a side to Riddle that he probably has buried to try and keep the tense peace between himself and his mother. The song shows that he's better than the things his mom demanded of him, that he's better because he strayed. He's made friends, he's happier and he's more beautiful being imperfect than the gemstones the mother expected him to be. Not going to write it since its so perfect.
Falena: So this is the brother of Leona, the king of the sunset Savana. The first song is deep and shows that Falena was aware of Leona's struggle and tried to help. The second song had an amazing MLP animatic that tugs at the heartstrings. Not fitting for the lion brothers but a song of love and heartbreak. I think the first song fits better.
Cheka: Fun childish song of carefreeness for the bundle of joy that is Cheka! also fitting for him to sing his Disney counterparts' songs. Another I wouldn't write due to not knowing him well enough.
Rielle: Apparently he's the twisted version of Ariel from the little mermaid. So that's cool! classic singing of the original characters' song. The longing to see another world, to learn something new and try something different. seems fitting for this excitable prince.
Jamil's Parents: Dang, that Robot song is very deep into the issue Jamil always had with his servitude. He blames his parents and Kalim for his upbringing, having to hold himself back, to seem lesser because he was just a servant just someone inconsequential and only there to help others. This could be an inner soul song for him.
The second song shows just how much Jamil hates that the things he was good at had to be restrained, that he had to hold himself back and never speak his mind. Another build-up to his eventual overblot.
the third song was awesome, but not very fitting to the story for Jamil. Good song and it had an awesome animation too.
Najma: the brother song is sweet but doesn't really capture the banter and the snarky remarks we see between the two, this is that deep familial love that we don't get to see much of due to how Jamil works.
Second song of surface pressure is pretty fitting for how hard Jamil works and puts on himself. During the festival we see how much Najma cares, despite the teasing, she doesn't push him or demand much. She listens and supports her brother. Probably what kept him sane when he worked as a servant for all those years.
The last song is again a bit too sappy for the two vipers, but The sentiment is sweet and they do care for each other in a passive-aggressive (at times) way.
Vil's Dad: Never seen this character, I think. So I don't know if this song fits or not. But if he's proud of what his boy can do, despite some not-so-savory things to others. Then ya that song fits him well.

Benidorm Fest First Listen!
1. Almácor - "Brillos Platino" This is really fun! Is it a Eurovision song? Not really. It's a fun, summery, party number - it'll go down a treat with audiences but doesn't have anything really standing out to me. The ending feels a bit abrupt, as well. 7/10
2. Angy Fernández - "Sé quién soy" OH THIS IS A BOP! It's good in the opening, but then the chorus HITS YOU! This is going to be so fun to see translated onto stage, I would be very happy with this showing up to Malmo! 8.5/10
3. Dellacruz - "Beso en la mañana" This one feels like another pop song, but not as fun as Almácor's. It just feels like it falls a little bit flat compared to the first two. It picks up a bit in the last 10 seconds, but it just feels out of place. 5/10
4. Jorge González - "Caliente" I'm not gonna lie, the photo of him is VERY distracting. They looked at me first. The like, three lines of English in the song are a little off-putting. They don't add anything to the song. It's a different style though, and I like that! Also the beat does feel like, if it wins, we're getting our first male edition of Fuego. Eleni Foureira, the impact you made on this competition will never be forgotten! 7/10
5. Lérica - "Astronauta" With a title like that, this song has some incredible staging potential. The way the song is, I'm worried it won't live up to it. I'm getting Avicii, Bastille, summer 2013 vibes from this song. I like it, but probably not for Eurovision. 6/10
6. Mantra - "Me vas a ver" This is a feel good song, through and through. A fun beat, great voices, nothing standing out to me really - it's not going to win, but it'll be a fun song to get people dancing! This is going on a guilty pleasure playlist, for sure 7/10
7. Marlena - "Amor de verano" I WAS VIBING UNTIL I HEARD THE ENGLISH UGH. It's not my usual type of song, but it's easy enough to nod along to it. The two lines of English in every chorus don't do anything for it. 6/10
8. María Peláe - "Remitente" Okay so this version is 4:33, so obviously the entry will be shortened. Not for me. Unsurprising since I didn't like Eaea last year. I am just not a fan of this style (and given Blanca's placing, I can't see a vocally similar act going in 2024). 5/10 9. Miss Caffeina - "Bla bla bla" Another song that just feels like it falls a bit flat. It's not *bad*, it's just not got anything special about it that endears you to it. Feels more Ibiza than Benidorm. 5/10
10. Nebulossa - "Zorra" Their outfits alone have me intrigued. This SCREAMS 80s guilty pleasure, I hope the staging is going to be as cheesy and crazy as it is in my mind. Is it the best song? No. Could it be the best performance? Absolutely. 8/10
11. Noan - "Te echo de -" Oh I don't like his voice. Please, sir, just clear your throat. I could enjoy the song in a world where it wasn't so damn raspy, but the way it is just really bothers me. I understand it's a stylistic choice, it's not for me. 5/10
12. Quique Niza - "Prisionero" This is the first song that feels ballad-y so far, so it does stand out a bit. I'm not hugely excited by it, but it will probably have some very good staging. I think live vocals will improve this one a lot, but right now it's a bit plain. 6.5/10
13. Roger Padrós - "El temps" I see they saved the ballads for last! Ballads are usually too plain for me - special ballads will grow on me with time. This is not one of those. 5/10
14. Sofia Coll - "Here to stay" IMMEDIATE CHILLS. This is immediately special. I'm willing to forgive the English. There's Catalan so it evens out. It's the first song that really feels EUROVISION. I hope the staging lives up to it and the whole package is winning material. 9/10
15. St. Pedro - "Dos Extraños (Cuarteto de Cuerda)" This is coffee shop jazz. This is not a compliment. This gives me Salvador Sobral vibes, and I STILL hold a grudge against Portugal because of that man. 3/10
16. Yoly Saa - "No se me olvida" The beginning is a bit boring, but I LOVE the chorus. It scratches my brain right, and it makes the build worth it. 8/10

I don't know about you, but when I'm driving, exercising, or doing anything that requires my full attention, I like to listen to music. A few years ago I had an old mp3 player that I never really used because the sound quality was terrible. I decided it was time for a change and bought a new mp3 player with a better quality sound. However, when I got the new mp3 player and tried to download music, I found out that all of my songs were gone! I was so upset because all of my favorite songs were gone and I had to start over from scratch. Now, when I want to download music, I just go to the website and type in what song I want to download and it's as easy as that. Mp3 Song Download

My Hero Academia Characters and the Music They Listen to
This is my first time writing headcanons on Tumblr so be nice and don’t be afraid to like/reblog!
✨Aoyama - I feel like he’d obvi listen to French music. I also see him liking pop stuff (bubblegum pop). Artists: Poppy, Katy Perry, Bananarama, Aqua, and New Kids on The Block
🥊Mina - For her I see her as more hip hop since she can breakdance well. Artists: Doja Cat, Nicki Minaj, Eminem, Run D.M.C, Charli XCX, Technotronic, and OutKast
🐸Froppy - She’s very chill so I picture different kinds of lo-fi like Japanese and Rainy lo-fi. Artists: Florence + The Machine, Fitz and the Tantrums, and Weezer
👟Iida - I honestly couldn’t even tell you a specific genre. I can’t really picture one, only just certain artists. Probs some synth wave if I’m being honest. Artists: Queen, Lost Years, Timecop, Børns, MØ, Lumineers, Holy Ghost, and Lord Huron
🥰Uraraka - I feel like she’d be into indie and pop! Probs k-pop too. Artists: HyunA, 4Minute, Blackpink, Alt-J, Christina Aguilera, Stevie Nicks, and Marina
⚡️Kaminari - I get glam rock vibes tbh but also dance hits of the 2000s/2010s with this man. No inbetween. Artists: Duran Duran, David Bowie, ZZ Top, Jay Sean, Taio Cruz, Lady Gaga, Black Eyed Peas, Breathe Carolina, 3OH!3, and The Runaways
🪨Kirishima - I feel like he’d go for anything upbeat and stuff that would make my manly mans hype himself up and feel good! Artists: AJR, The Weeknd, B-52s, Survivor, Young MC, Sean Kingston, and John Cafferty
🎧Jiro - My bestie would be all over the rock, grunge, and alt scene for sure. Probs into some mo music too. Artists: Nirvana, Pearl Jam, The Clash, Cutting Crew, Thousand Foot Krutch, Ramones, Breton, All Time Low, Sur, Fit For Rivals, and Sleeping Wolf
🦅Tokoyami - Also into alternative, but more darkwave and industrial. Artists: Type O Negative, Portishead, Massive Attack, Widowspeak, Just Mustard, and Ministry
❄️🔥Todoroki - Very traditional Japanese. I feel like he would hardly listen to music with words, but if he did it would be hella chill with deep meaning. Artists: Sia, Modest Mouse, Grateful Dead, M83, and Pip Blom
💥Bakugo - Rock and Metal. Pissy, angry, loud music. His music and him are 100% on the same page at ALL times. Artists: Nine Inch Nails, KMFDM, Lunatic Calm, AC/DC, Disturbed, Green Day, Hollywood Undead, The Exploited, Dope, Orgy, and Quiet Riot
📖Momo - I feel like she’d listen to classical music as well as just lowkey, chill music. Artists: Valerie Broussard, Ann Marr, Mother Mother, Twenty One Pilots, Lana Del Rey, and Lorde
👊Midoriya - Aw smol bb. I feel like he’d have a well rounded taste. Like tbh he’d be down for really anything. I def get 60s vibes from him though. Artists: The Zombies, Van Morrison, Avicii, They Might Be Giants, The Turtles, The Monkees, and Silversun Pickups
🧠Shinso - Ohoho this man. This MAN is DEFINITELY all over the 80s alt scene. I feel like he’d like stuff that sounds happy or even chill, but the lyrics are depressing. Artists: The Birthday Massacre, Depeche Mode, Pet Shop Boys, Bauhaus, The Smiths, Caravan Palace, Tears For Fears, Oasis, Bronski Beat, Oingo Boingo, Peter Gabriel, and Genesis
🔥Dabi - Another pissy rock alt bitch. I feel like he would also have deeper meaning in his music without meaning to. Artists: Rammstein, Marilyn Manson, Ice Nine Kills, Motionless in White, Deftones, Pantera, Lil Peep, Grandson, A Perfect Circle, Rob Zombie, and Sisters of Mercy
🩸Toga - hard to decide, but I feel like a girly alternative. Also some k-pop too. Artists: Block B, Melanie Martinez, Ke$ha, Spice Girls, Grimes, K.Flay, Insane Clown Posse, Skynd, and Halsey

Jade Mantis--The Kids
Because let’s be honest, these two apples didn’t fall too far from the tree.
Hey Brother—Jada Facer and Kyson Facer cover Though the original Avicii version is great, I think this acoustic call and response is a better representation of Kai and Izuku’s relationship. After all, “There’s nothing in this world I wouldn’t do”.
That’s My Girl—Fifth Harmony “Who’s been working so damn hard? You got that head on overload?...You’ve been down before, you’ve been hurt before, you got up before…you’ll be good to go.” Kai Morita theme song!
Wings—Little Mix “Don’t let what they say keep you up at night, and if they give you sh—then they can walk on by.” Izuku’s going to be a hero, he knows it. Kai is a pro. They both have the love and support of their mother behind them. Watch out world, the Midoriya siblings are growing up.
Warriors—Imagine Dragons They’re the children of the Jade Mantis. They’re the hero Deku and Doctor Night. They’re born fighters.
The Phoenix—Fall Out Boy A fight song that I very much associate with Kai. She has a healing quirk to keep her alive, so she’s gonna rise from the ashes every single time. Put on your war paint.
Black Betty—Ram Jam Honestly I just love this as fight music.
Hammer to Fall—Queen “You don’t waste no time at all, don’t hear the bell but you answer the call,” This is a very Izuku song to me, and I think if you read/listen to the lyrics you’ll hear it too.
You’re My Best Friend—Queen A little corny, but through thick and thin, they’re there.
Young Volcanoes—Fall Out Boy This fits the duo really well as well. They’re going to shake things up in the Heroics industry and for the better.
Don’t Threaten Me With a Good Time—Panic! At the Disco Honestly I originally included the song for the line “drunk pre-meds and some rubber gloves” so I choose to imagine this as a description of a really wild college party she went to and never told anyone about.
We Are Family—Keke Palmer They have a former Russian spy grandmother, an evil genius godfather, their mother is the former number one vigilante. Perfect.
High Hopes—Panic! At the Disco One of the most Izuku songs I’ve ever heard.
Nine Lives—Stella and the Storm One of the most Kai songs I’ve ever heard. With a healing quirk like hers? She might as well have nine lives.
Wake Me Up—Avicii “Making my way through the darkness, guided by a beating heart”. This is a very Izuku-centric song.
F-in’ Perfect—P!nk Kai trying to express her feelings to Izuku. “Pretty, pretty please, if you ever, ever feel like you’re nothing, you’re fuckin’ perfect to me!”
Backbone—Gojira They’ll need it if they want to make in such a cut-throat industry
Natural—Imagine Dragons “You gotta be so cold to make it in this world, Yeah you’re a natural.” I like to think of this as a kind of warning that Nedzu gave to Kai before she became a hero.
King and Lionheart—Of Monsters and Men I think this song really fits them as a pair. “And as the world comes to an end, I’ll be here to hold your hand, ‘Cause you’re my king and I’m your lion-heart”.
Teenagers—My Chemical Romance Kai is a ball of chaotic good in a world trying to force her to be lawful.
Top of the World—Greek Fire “Watching the door for anything more than an ordinary life…Here I am! Living a dream that I can’t hold” Okay so I want to say it’s an Izuku song, but it really applies to both of them.
Moscow—Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet Since I’m no expert on actual Russian songs they may or may not actually listen to…well, I’ve more then imagined Kai and Izuku jokingly singing this to each other.
Waving Through a Window—Dear Evan Hansen This is an Izuku song.
This Is Me—The Greatest Show Izuku, Kai, (really the whole Midoriya family). Yeah, they’re a bit weird, yeah they’re outsiders. But they are who they are and no one is going to try and make them feel lesser without the rest of the pack baring their teeth.
Confident—Demi Lovato Kai. The girl has BDE, what can I say?
Centuries—Fall Out Boy I honestly envision this as more of a fight song than a character song. Either way, it fits them
You Don’t Own Me—Grace, G-Eazy It was a real debate whether to put it here or with the Jade Mantis playlist. “You don’t won me, don’t try to change me in any way, you don’t own me, don’t tie me down ‘cause I’d never stay.” The point is, Kai and Inko are not the types to answer to anyone.
Born Ready—Dove Cameron “So if it takes forever, we’ll save the world together” This is basically WRITTEN for Kai and Izuku
I Ain’t Calling You a Liar—Florence and the Machine I seriously debated putting this on the Angst playlist, and to be honest it probably belongs on there too. But without spoiling anything let’s just say it’s going to be appropriate

LY 結: Answer Album Overview
this is the overview of the LY: Answer, the final album of the love yourself series.
disclaimer: this is just my personal opinion, feel free to disagree. do let me know your thoughts in my ask box. i would only be talking about the tracks that are new considering it is a repackage album, but also be talking about the flow of the whole album.
Tumblr media
overall: this album in general has a lot of techno beats in it, technically, this album is meant to be more upbeat as now they have overcome all their problems. but what i love is how it tells a story on how despite everything that happened, you should love yourself.
disc 1
euphoria: the intro of the ever first instalment of the love yourself series, starting off with wonder. ( LY 起 ) a song that definitely shows how much jungkook’s vocals shine so much. this, together with that techno game beat has opened my eyes to a whole new love for it.
honestly, i feel as though with this song, you could feel as though everything is going so smoothly here, everything is perfect, just like how he would have envisioned it. this was the beginning - his euphoria.
trivia 起 just dance: this is hoseok’s track that he produced and all i could say is that it could easily be blended in into his mixtape called Hope World that he recently released on 2 May 2018.
trust me, just put this track right after Hope World, or after P.O.P. (pt.1), and the mixtape would still flow smoothly. a lot of upbeat synths - a signature of hoseok to be honest, it’s his style.
this track talks about hoseok’s love for dance, but im pretty sure, i hear jimin at 2:40 doing some of the backup vocals here.
notice that all the trivia tracks have the corresponding symbols of which instalment they are from. they are kind of the interlude tracks to the next instalment of the love yourself series - the track that transits to the next love yourself series.,
serendipity ( full length ): aside from the melodic track that we have heard before, this full version has an extra verse inside, sort of like an extended bridge/verse in which he breaks it down even more before he nicely ends it with a note.
honestly, this sounds like a wonderful lullaby, with its mellow sound and soft instrumentals, say thank you park jimin.
trivia 承 love: this is namjoon’s track that he produced and mainly talks about love - falling in love in general.
i love how despite the instrumentals are quite soft and mellow, his rapping here is more harsher so it provides quite a contrast to the whole track.
also, namjoon tries to sing this time round as well at 2:27, though you could tell it is auto-tuned,
im not sure if he has hoseok as his backing vocals or if its just namjoon doing the backing vocals because of the change in the vocal tone and colour.
trivia 轉 seesaw: this is the track that yoongi produced and trust me, this has the same vibe as the track that he helped produced for Suran called Wine/If i get drunk today , this could be heard by the straight instrumentals that he used here, very mellow sounds, not much synths, but more towards guitar and little percussion in the beginning.
also, by the time it hits the chorus, there is the underlying techno vibe of it. i love how yoongi makes an effort to sing in here, and i really love it so much, especially when he sang in the best of me, i would definitely look forward to yoongi singing more.
overall, i love how each of the trivia tracks done by the rapline has them singing and rapping in them, it shows that they are exploring more and i love how it just fits all in all. a smooth transition.
epiphany: of course, bighit would release the full version because we all knew that when they uploaded the comeback trailer, they teased us a bit of the track inside and focused more on the whole story telling of it.
but moving on, i love how it showcased a lot of seokjin’s vocals here and it shows how much improvement he has made. thank you so much seokjin.
idol: the title track that is very lit. tp be honest, i thought there wouldn't be a title track considering at first, bangtan won't be promoting but they are now!!!
but moving on, trust me when i say this is the type of music you would probably hear at the World Cup but i really love the fusion of the south african music together with the traditional korean music.
in all honesty, i think the teaser that they show was far off considering it was just the bridge that they showed but the actual song was bass boosted. it had the feels of bang bang bang towards at the end and possibly bollywood too, but wow at the intensity of it. fire could be compared with it.
i’m fine: so this is the track that is meant to parallel save me, based on the HYYH series, in which you reverse the words etc, you'll get each other.
talk about bringing memories when you hear the starting of the song with ‘save me’. nice transition though but also, this song has the feels of ellie goulding’s burn by the chorus but they changed it at the second line etc.
also, trust me, it sounds a bit of wake me up by avicii too, but wow at the amount of synths being used here. again, bringing the whole game music.
answer: love myself: this song definitely healed me. if you just listen to it without even reading the lyrics, there is this sense of emotion of satisfaction that only bangtan could instil in you.
i love how there is a lot of harmonising in the chorus, it’s as if you are being reassured by them and when you look at the lyrics, this is the reason why you stan them, hands down.
disc 2
dna ( pedal 2 LA mix ): i am guessing this is the mix that they used at the AMAs, when bangtan was asked to perform there and everyone had a fun time.
fake love ( rocking vibe mix ): this remix that bighit decides to just drop out of nowhere this year, like thanks.
but this would be the more alternative rock track with the change in the instrumentals and introduction of the guitar, more intensity than the original track that felt a bit like BST.
mic drop ( steve aoki ) ( full remix ): the mic drop remix track that bangtan has used at 2017 MAMAs and actually sent many of the fans to their graves because of how lit their stage was together with those dance breaks.
say thank you bighit.
last thoughts: overall the album has a lot of synths this time round, sounding more techno than before but i love how they still managed to bring across the emotions and messages that they want to bring across, especially the final track: answer: love myself.

i'm very excited abt you reblogging that playlist ask meme thing soooo even though i tried really hard to send just one prompt, please take your pick from: 'walk on, walk on with hope in your heart', 'one time they fell out of a tree and it was awesome', & 'there's no trick to make it easier. you just go on.' whichever appeals most / you find easiest!
i ended up picking all three because that’s just the sort of person i am
walk on, walk on with hope in your heart (a hype mix for the reds and the marching in)
red and gold- young rising sons (i’ve been up and down and up again…just keep painting those walls a brighter shade of red and gold)
legendary- welshly arms (‘cause we’re gonna be legends/gonna get their attention/what we’re doing here ain’t just scary/it’s about to be legendary)
believe- romes (you don’t got to believe in me/i know who i wanna be)
could have been me- the struts (don’t wanna live as an untold story/rather go out in a blaze of glory/i can’t hear you, i don’t fear you)
i believe- basic vacation (and all the things i love in life/and all the things i do i like/they come from me and you)
one time they fell out of a tree and it was awesome (a grog&percy mix that’s half about how they’re brothers and half Grog Strongjaw’s Official Jams Playlist for Driving Around in Percy’s Amazing, Fantastic, Completely Shitty Truck that are also about how they’re brothers)
hey brother- avicii (hey brother! there’s an endless road to rediscover… oh, if the sky comes falling down, for you/there’s nothing in this world i wouldn’t do)
brothers- penny and sparrow (if you cut your hand/i’m gonna cut mine/and then when we shake ‘em/we’ll be the same color and type)
up the wolves- the mountain goats (there’s gonna come a day when you feel better/you’ll rise up free and easy on that day/and float from branch to branch/lighter than the air)
western expansion- jared and the mill (but look at you now; the past couldn’t tell who you are/your home may seem so far away to you/but man, home is in your heart)
battle born- the killers (up against the wall/there’s something dying on the street/when they knock you down/you’re going to get back on your feet)
sloppy seconds- watsky (and there is not a single place that i would rather be/i’m fucked up just like you are, and you’re fucked up just like me)
there’s no trick to make it easier. you just go on. (a soft and gentle mix for the next day, and the next, and the next)*
my friends- oh wonder (oh my friends/i am heavy/can i beat within your heart?/can i bleed within your love?)
all we have is now- the modern electric (honey, you should be here yeah/there’ll come a day when i can’t hold ya/so won’t you let me hold you now?)
elysium- bear’s den (hold out against the night/guard your hope with your life)
the end of all things- panic! at the disco (in these coming years/many things will change/but the way i feel/will remain the same)
be still- the killers (be still/and go on to bed/nobody knows what lies ahead/and life is short/to say the least/we’re in the belly of the beast)
la reyna- penny and sparrow (we can do whatever you wanna do/we’ll be movers and shakers and leaves on a tree… it doesn’t matter to me/because i know that i’ll be with you)
after the bombs- the decemberists (after the bombs subside… then we’ll go dancing/won’t we go dancing/yes we’ll go dancing)
in our bedroom after the war- stars (all the living are dead, and the dead are all living/the war is over and we are beginning)
let’s be still- the head and the heart (the world’s not forgiving/of everyone’s fears/the days turn into months/the months turn into years/so just for the moment, let’s be still)
*full disclosure on this one, the quote looked vaguely familiar, but i couldn’t place it exactly and google was no help at all, so i just went more with a general vibe and pulled a bunch of songs off of my various post-climactic events playlists (critical role post-vecna, my post-war one for my harry potter au)
hope you enjoy them!
send me a made-up title for a mixtape and i’ll pick 5-10 songs that i would put on it

Lawson J presents: Stay Together
A new single and music video with a great production value.
February 2021 - Lawson J is an artist with a focus on creating catchy and diverse music, which blurs the lines between pop and EDM. His most recent studio release, “Stay Together,” is a pretty amazing example of how Lawson J (Also known as “Junior”) is so seamlessly able to combine a wide range of genres and aesthetics, ranging from Latin grooves, to Afro-Beat, Pop, EDM, Soul, and even some beautiful acoustic vibes (He actually sang a beautiful version of Tracy Chapman’s Talkin’Bout Revolution).
I would definitely recommend listening to this release if you do enjoy the work of artists such as AVICII, as well as Kygo, Illenium and The Weeknd, only to mention but a few. Lawson J has a very smooth and special vocal style, which is reminiscent of iconic modern singers such as Frank Ocean or Chris Brown. There is a nice smoothness to his voice, which really cuts through the mix like butter: present and rich, but never harsh,. The song also comes with a beautifully shot music video, with visuals that perfectly match the insightful aesthetics of the song and the creativity of this talented artist. This song is all about dealing with the aftermath and ending of a summer love, an experience that could break even the most stone-cold heart. It is never easy to part ways with a passionate lover, but this song is sung in such a way that the lyrics are extremely easy to relate to. We’ve all been through this type of heartbreak, and “Stay Together” is a really honest song.
This song follows a succession of well-received releases that Lawson J put out in 2020, and it is an amazing way to kickstart the year on a very good note (no pun intended!). This mesmerizing, yet appealing tune has a mainstream vibe to it, but it is still warm and personal, with an organic feel.
Find out more about Lawson J, and listen to “Stay Together,” which is currently available on the web.
