Also I literally just noticed how All Might apologizes to him both times, but back then he responded with sad and angry scowl but now he responds with a proud and bright smile!!

this panel’s making me go crazy because it’s like he’s trying to convince himself that Bakugo wasn’t the reason he unlocked black whip. Like he doesn’t want it to be true.

“That was all you could think about, right?”

*visible sweat* “Right. I wanted to capture Monoma…”

Yeah, I wonder WHY.

then when asked what triggered it, he lies to Bakugo’s face, with emphasis of Bakugo eyeing him.

Bakugo sacrifices himself then Shigaraki says “so much blood spilled for no good reason… that last one being the most pointless of all.” The panels go through the bloodshed, and instead of a panel of Bakugo it immediately jumps to controlling his ︎heart (emphasizing the direct link) and Deku rampages.

Deku sees Bakugo’s corpse in the 2nd war, is once again reminded of controlling his ︎heart, and starts to rampage.

Black Whip explodes into the shape of a heart, and it’s not until Mirio tells him that Bakugo is being saved that he composes himself.

Then he uses the quirk to cover his mouth…

IDK IT’S PRETTY STRAIGHT FORWARD TO ME.

! MHA Manga Spoilers !

i'm just thinking about this frame.

I'm just thinking about how, most of the time, when we've seen Katsuki smile, it's often for the purpose of posturing. Always laced with a little bit of snark. A smirk, a menacing sneer, a show of teeth if only to remind anyone who's watching that this dog does, in fact, bite.

But in this frame — right after All Might offers a makeshift splint for Katsuki's twisted, mangled arm — Katsuki smiles. No grit or goading here. Just what very well might be the softest expression we've ever seen him wear.

Is it because he's happy to be alive? Because he feels proud to protect his childhood Hero? Because he's grateful to still be in the fight?

I honestly haven't reread this chapter enough to have a solid answer, but I just can't stop coming back to this frame. I reckon it's sort of all of the above; once revived, one of the first things Katsuki says is "Thank you" to Edgeshot. All Might offers his help in this scene because he knows there's more fighting to be done, and Katsuki is the one who's going to step back up to the plate.

Part of me wonders if, at this stage in his development — ya know, post the whole "Izuku, I won't get in your way anymore" thing — he's just happy to be of service.

But he looks happy.

This little motherfucker died. And he looks genuinely happy.

I don't think Bakugou should have gotten a redemption arc

Kepler and Ahsoka haven't always...gotten along, to say the least. As initiates, Ahsoka was always very clearly miles ahead of everyone while he fell behind. Even if she didn't mean to, subconsciously she always considered him the lowest bar, she's obviously very talented cause she's nothing LIKE him.

Of course they grow to resent each other for this and butt heads, especially with their masters being best friends which means they're forced to be around each other a lot more 😅 but they don't realize how similar they really are! Eventually they're able to reconcile and become genuine friends, though! 💖
