Hey, any psychotic, hallucination having moots/followers!

One, hope you're having a good day! Two! What do you guys think about being told you're having a hallucination and you're not in danger? For me, I was having hallucinations related to trauma I had when I was about 3-4 and found out in the worst way that I was allergic to ants; with them descending from my ceiling and trying to eat me while I slept. (On paper, I'm dx'd with Schizoaffective disorder, but I think it's more a PTSD thing since you can get hallucinations and delusions with PTSD!) Anyway! When I was a teenager, I used to have hallucinations about ants and spiders crawling up and around me and where I was sitting. At first I was freaked out, but then I realized, with the chronic sudden disappearance of them while I was looking at them and my friends never seeing them, that they were hallucinations and I thought, "Oh, they're not real... That's awesome!" And then I could tell that they were hallucinations because of minor details that don't happen irl, such as floating, not moving their legs while walking, or rapidly growing and shrinking. I was relieved to find that they couldn't hurt me or my friends! But according to every one of my previous therapists, you're never supposed to tell someone having a hallucination (any hallucination, including ones where they think they're in danger!) that that's what's happening; you are supposed to validate what they're feeling, often by trying to interact with the hallucination and assuring them they're safe. Of course you assure them they're safe, but to try and interact with something that blatantly doesn't exist seems like you're saying the hallucination does exist and thus can hurt you. This could also be because I'm Autistic and thrive off logic and shit, but do you guys think other people reassuring you you're safe because it's a hallucination is helpful or cold-hearted?

Again, this could be because I have a different brain structure, but I'm genuinely curious!

Ok but Gale and Rolan

Like Rolan is a pretty popular character, people seem to really like him and write a lot of fan fiction about him. And obviously a lot of people love Gale too he's one of the main companions.

So why do I not see them shipped together?

Like the way Rolan talks about Lorraokan before he actually meets the fuck it feels like he kinda has a crush on him, like a little celebrity crush. So we know that Rolan is partial to what he thought Lorraokan was: A brilliant and ambitious wizard who's generous with his arcane knowledge.

And Gale very much ticks all those boxes. He was enough of a magical prodigy to be Mystra's chosen, he had a solid plan to become a GOD and the very first thing he does to try to romance you is teach you some magic.

You can't tell me Rolan wouldn't be following the party around in the tower after the battle, see Gale being king nerd very casually explaining stuff Lorrakaon didn't even vaguely understand and not go:

"Oh."

And with how many times Gale has proven to be a good person by saving the teiflings over and over, Rolan could absolutely mentally gloss over the whole "What if I used the crown of Karsus to become a god?" thing.

And I mean, Rolan could absolutely pull Gale. We know from playing the game that it is not hard to seduce Gale, to the point it's kind of annoying. Post game Rolan could just invite Gale over to look at "This fascinating new tome some adventurers sold me that was recovered from a shipwreck/ancient temple/dragon's hoard! And we haven't talked in so long, please stay for a glass of wine. Oh you write poetry? Tell me more. <3" And he's fucking genuine about wanting to hear the poetry because of course that nerd would.

Like it's not rocket science, honestly it ain't even algebra. I'd give it like 3 months tops before Rolan is bragging about his "BOYFRIEND who is a professor at BLACKSTAFF ACADEMY and did I mention he's adorable?" And he just keeps finding new things about Gale to gush about to the point Cal and Lia start to consider pushing off the roof of the tower just to get him to shut up.

Gale would also be perfectly happy in the relationship, like he really just wants someone who supports him and is a good person maybe? As a treat? And Rolan has shown to be a little heroic himself, protecting orphans, trying to rescue his family single handed and fighting with you against Lorraokan if his spirit isn't totally broken. He can even bridal carry Gale to safety with his 12 str. No really he has 12 strength, you can google it.

Like it's not the OTP to end all OTPs but it's cute. And I'm just confuzzled on why there's barely anything with these two.

again, just copying my original thoughts from last week 😭😭 lots of rambling, screaming, and general freaking out ahead!

Literally the whole first part of the episode I was sitting on the edge of my seat wondering “is annabeth going to say it? is she going to say percabeth’s iconic line?? I will be so incredibly disappointed if she doesn’t” and then SHE SAID IT SHE SAID IT OMG I LOVE HER and Percy’s reaction lol “huh?”

ok this is stupid but

i lowkey have been thinking about sonic, mario, and dp since yesterday. my friends and i have “friendship lore” in a way, and its really dumb, but this is basically why im thinking of these things (well, im wearing dp merch, so not for dp but like). and suddenly my brain decided to spit out SONIC X DP which is absolutely insane and terrible.. and then DC X DP X SONIC, which is arguably WORSE.. but the inspiration hits and you cant argue w/ it, yeah? so i may test out some weird shit below, just for shits and giggles (god, i read someone say gits and shiggles once and it kills me). itd be more “oh no danny and sonic randomly appear in gotham oh dear me” han something actually good so maybe ignore 💀

In a snap, Danny finds himself in a new place. One second, he was home with Jazz and his parents; the next, he’s in a dark, dreary city. Of course, he takes it in stride; this is what happens when you deal with so much bullshit every day. (Or he gets intense anxiety, what fun! I personally just love chill, mischievous Danny, but yk)

Now, on the other hand, Sonic just appeared in a human city. Yes, this stuff has happened before, but get this: the people of said city (Gotham, but it’s not like it matters) don’t seem to be calling him an alien?? Like, why’s this little furry blue guy treated somewhat normally, huh? Wouldn’t normal people fear 3 foot spiky speedsters?? (I’m only saying this because he could be confused for a meta with some sort of physical quirks)

And of course the bats are confuzzled. All cams show that they just randomly teleported, so there’s no way to determine how they got here unless they overhear something or interact with the strange people themselves. Though it seems like there’s some foul play, or something not quite right… something they can’t put their fingers on.

Ok so i have to ask, i wasnt around for a lot of Arrivals, what was the Witness and the Black Fleet doing? Why did they come to the Sol system if to not conquer it? Very confuzzled

It's somewhat unknown to us as well, and was a major confusing point in-universe for characters. In Arrivals, the Black Fleet showed up and just kinda... stood there. They occupied several of our planets/moons and hovered ominously. The Witness was also unknown to us at the time.

Their major interest was the Tree of Silver Wings on Io. We are still unsure what the Tree is and what it means, but we do know a few things:

The Tree was planted by Osiris using the Seed of Silver Wings, in the Cradle on Io. He was told to plant it by Mara via Vance.

Osiris retreived the Seed from an unknown place at the edge of the solar system prior to the Fleet's arrival. He was directed by Rasputin to go to those coordinates because Rasputin detected the Fleet there. Osiris had a superbly wild experience in some strange dimension from which he retrieved the Seed. It's very unlikely he simply entered a Pyramid ship, and is far more likely that he was... in another dimension. Realm? Plane? Somewhere non-physical. It also appears that no time passed while he was in there, due to Sagira's comments. This is possibly relevant with the new hints from the devs about the Witness that I mentioned here (possible spoilers for Lightfall from a recent trailer, letting you know if you want to go in fully blind).

The Tree started as purely white, but got gradually converted into a more pyramidal hue and orange resonance effects due to the Pyramid ship beaming it from above. A Pyramid ship settled directly above the Tree.

The Tree was studied by Eris who received direct messages from the Fleet and interpreted those messages for us.

The Tree also shaped a special branch and gave us a gift in a form of a weapon: Ruinous Effigy.

Savathun used the help of her nephew, Nokris, to try and interfere with those messages and stop us from communing with the Black Fleet. This made Savathun even more of an enemy to the Black Fleet, but it was also not helpful to us because it was preventing us from understanding what the Black Fleet wants and why they are here. We had to fight her interferences every week.

At the end, the Tree was entirely consumed by the Darkness energy of the Pyramid and Io was taken away from our solar system.

The details about the relevance of the Tree, the Seed, the place Osiris took the Seed from and the full scope of what they wanted our planets for is still largely unknown. It's possible that we might get more about this stuff soon, given it's relation to the Witness and the way our planets were stolen, Witness' powers and reasons for stealing them and so on. I am also thinking that there's a possibility we will gradually get some of the planets back in a similar way to getting Mars back. Or perhaps even more expanded!

Getting Io back would be really interesting, as that would probably be a good opportunity to tell us more about what the Black Fleet and the Witness wanted with Io and with the Tree. The Tree of Silver Wings has a lot of strange connections and a lot of unexplained lore that we genuinely know nothing about. I hope we might learn more during the Lightfall year.

The Black Fleet essentially occupied the solar system in Arrivals, but it also seems like that wasn't the full bulk of the Fleet. It was a preparation, clearly aiming to take our planets away for the Witness' research on how it can come to the system as well. It feels like perhaps the Witness wasn't yet able to get here with the rest of the Fleet and the ones sent to us in Arrivals were the initial recon force meant to do something with the Tree and snatch our planets away. Savathun's interferences were most likely about Savathun doing her best to prevent us from acquiring Darkness powers or possibly even siding with the Darkness, as at this point, she was already a defector from the Witness and was actively defying them and the Hive. Merely weeks after this, Savathun snatched Osiris and infiltrated the City in disguise.

Arrivals also ended with the Traveler fully reforming itself, very likely in preparation for everything that was yet to come.

Highly recommending checking out Destiny Lore Vault's playlist with all story quests from Arrivals! Also this playlist features just the messages interpreted by Eris, Nokris' dialogues during Interference and the final quest bit where we get transported into the Pyramid. This playlist has dialogues from the seasonal activity, Contact.

Okay comic great but also how did Rasey happen I'm confuzzled

idk if I already said this, but raph finally opened up to someone (casey) about his emotions, good and bad, about how he hates being the favorite, how he always has to be there for his siblings, how no one takes care of him ect. Then he tells Casey that he even has confusing, romantic feelings for him and that he’s scared that Casey will think of him differently, that their relationship will never be the same, that they wouldn’t be able to be best friends anymore.

Casey then tells him that he likes him too, that it’s ok, and that they’ll always be best friends, that they can even take a step further, if raph was ever up to it. And raph (obviously) is eager to say yes, but needed some time (which casey understood).

Later Raph has an encounter with helping an old woman who had been getting mugged. She then does that old person thing that she starts to spill her whole life story on him and eventually tells raph abt her husband. She tells him abt how she wishes that she had told him she had loved him sooner, so that they would have been able to be happy together, because being happy alone can do so much for a person.
