07.06.2023 || Yesterday's exam was a smashing success!! 30/30!!!! I'm so happy and proud of myself! I now only have 3 official exams to verbalize (6 actual exams to take) in order to graduate.
Today I have my second exam, a written German text for the B1 level. We really don't know what to expect because the professor didn't give us any indications so who knows?
Hopefully, all the reading and watching in German I've been doing lately will be enoug. But God help me if there are preposition exercises in there.
All is well and good, until you step on metal grating and it woke up and chose violence. Mf decided right then and there to fall and fracture my ankle, I saw at least 6 people step on it before me even my friend went before me. It decided to say, “fuck you” to me. Even better is that I had my exams at the time so I had to go to my exam with a busted ankle. GG fate, you won this round.
Today was chem exam day! Exam one was either way easier than expected (meaning I overdid it when I studied ALL weekend) or I messed up so bad that there will be no coming back from the damage failing an exam will do to my weighted grade. Which of the two options is the real outcome remains to be seen.
In intro to teaching today, I had to fill out a form for 'shadow day' even though it is exactly a month away, Dr. Durham had us submit today, so we are lore likely to get our desired school and/or grade. I've been saying that since I started that, I think I'd line to teach 2nd grade. So, I figured shadowing a real 2nd grade teacher would be the perfect opportunity to see if that really is the grade I want when the time cones for internships.
I also cranked out even more on my group project for EC methods. So far, I'm genuinely convinced that one of my partners is jsut giving her work to the rest of us. I haven't even seen her add one thing to the shared document we are using to do the project.
All in all, today was very productive and a bit tiring, TBH. After I finish my portion of today's project work, I might hope over to my alt account and post a fanfic of two.
06.06.2023 || Exam day. I'm done revising so I'll go get dressed and then leave for uni. I feel like I know nothing but that always happens. I won't know if I truly know nothing until I sit for the exam and by then it will be too late.
While the students were taking their examinations, Ma’am Jerilyn gave me some tasks. First, she had me arrange the test papers by the students’ sections. Being myself, I decided to go beyond the given instruction. I also arranged them alphabetically. Furthermore, the test papers of the girls were separated from the boys’. To this, Ma’am Jerilyn showed great appreciation, and it made my heart warm, receiving such response.
After that, she also assigned me to check some essays. She first explained the model answer before letting me proceed. I had a great time reading the students’ answers, as it reflected how each of them understood the topic. Moreover, I saw how every student differs in their writing styles and in developing their ideas.
Because of this experience, I became even more excited to check my future students’ essays!
