Who else learned archery when they first read The Hunger Games books? Because I'll tell you what, I have never been a person with an affinity for coordination or physical activity but Suzanne Collins had me out there on the field, at the age of 12-15, learning that you DEFINITELY need an arm guard if your elbows hyper-extend like mine.

it was sometime in the last year that i realized my interest in folklore and tales is not in fact like. a thing every kid does. it is in fact very autistic and can be a part of my life now, not just relegated to "normal childhood phase that both has to be left in childhood and also that i somehow failed at because i did not learn every single thing there is to know about folklore by the time i started seeing people talk about it online".

#rays random ramblings #oww #whenever I sit or lay down I can feel my heartbeat in the soles of my feet #it's been that way for quite a few weeks now ouch #ANYWAYS #some more fun aummer camp ramblings! #last week my kiddos did field archery and I got to participate #I got to walk around with a bow and a quiver and radio attached to my hip and it felt SO COOL #and Wednesday night of this week all 12 of my campers agreed to sleep outside #and I got to tell star stories and got some giggles out of em and it was really nice #didn't get to see too many stars because of the clouds but the crickets were nice #I'm glad we got to do it #also I am like the only staff staying over in the staff house this weekend it's weirdly quiet
