I've read somewhere that being good and kind because you are incapable of bad things is nice, but choosing to be good and kind even though you aren't inherently good is sublime. That's the real deal.

Humans aren't inherently pure or downright evil. We are capable of both, the line blurs, sometimes it's both. Yes, you may be capable of being bad, but you are capable of good things too.

You are making a concious choice, you choose to be kind and good even though you could be worse. What you choose to do is what matters. And you deserve love and all good things <3
