The boys booked the next flight out of London. And that's what had led to where they were now. It had taken two weeks of recon, and they watched as you left your little cabin to go out and forge herbs, plants, and fungi. They noticed that you also drove to town for things you couldn't get out in the wilderness. What they hadn't realized was the werewolf that had kept an eye on them along with the man thing. Watching. Waiting. For them to mess up and reveal why they were watching his wife. Jack was suspicious, and rightfully so. Little Sunshines (AKA, Jake Lockley headcanons as a new father)

So, a kind anon sent me a prompt. I usually write in spanish, but loved the outcome so much I translated it. Enjoy!

-Jake assumed he would become a father eventually. It was expected of latino men, nothing out of the ordinary in his mind, but he was not ready when you confessed being pregnant.

-Jake almost has a heart attack with the news. He was used to being the protector, a human shield, and didn´t feel even worthy of having his own life, hopes and dreams. Deep down, he convinced himself you were with him only because of Marc and Steve.

-He will deny it, but almost broke down in tears when you casually mentioned he was the first of the moon boys to receive the good news.

-All 3 of them eagerly tagged along for the first ultrasound, and took turns watching the little sunshine, as they called it. The third one to front, Jake, took the print and kept it, while you finished scheduling a routine follow up in reception.

-You caught Jake staring deeply at the photo. It kind of made you nervous, but felt at ease with the smile that followed the frown. You haven´t been able to forget the pureness of his face in that moment.

-Jake waited for the moment he felt truly alone, Marc and Steven back in the headspace. He told you he figured out, counting weeks and checking on past dates, that you were together that night.

-It worried you the other boys would feel jealous, so Jake and you agreed to keep the exact dates a secret. When to topic came along, you both deflected the conversation. (Needless to say Jake was over the moon having such a cute secret with you).

-Marc and Steven had already figured, but where overall excited to be parents and thrilled to see Jake allowing himself to enjoy a life of his own.

-The four agreed to nickname the baby little sunshine, at least until a proper name was decided. It worked for any gender and most importantly, Jake had chosen it.

-A couple of times, you found Jake locked himself in the bathroom, staring at the horizon. Getting him to open up wasn´t easy, but he finally confessed he didn´t feel he would be a good parent. He never had good models growing up and wasn´t emotional and open per say.

-You assured him the pure concern was a guarantee he would be a fantastic dad and that both of you would figure along the way.

-When your water broke, the moon boys panicked, but Jake kept a cold head enough to react. He insisted on driving you to the hospital.

-Jake refused to leave you until the baby was born and you started breathing softly, pain temporarily numbed by emotion. He vowed to himself to never forget the first cry and your first smile towards the little sunshine.

-Steven was fronting when the doctors finally convinced the boys to leave the room. In the hallway, his hands, usually kept at his chest, seeked warmth in the pockets of the hoodie. He found a cuban cigar.

-Jake fronted, proud and gloating. He said it was a latinos thing, a sort of tradition when a baby was born. Bad luck a passing nurse didn´t think the same.

-Jake was arguing with the nurse, when he heard you scream. He made his way back to the room.

-In summary, the system almost faints seeing you push again. The little sunshine wasn´t alone, in fact, another sunshine came with it. A pair of twins, boy and girl.

-To avoid bickering, you didn´t let any of the boys be the first to hold the sunshines. You did it first. All three stared in awe, Marc anouncing he was ready to hold them, but ultimately Jake taking the lead, but only seating in bed and under your supervision.

-Being Marc (and Stevens) protector was a burden. He had seen so much blood and abuse, but had pulled through, for love, love for both men who he considered his brothers. It never was his choice, but, he accepted it. Now, he proudly wanted to be their protector. He wanted to protect not only his brothers, but also his twins, you. He wanted to protect his world.

You can feel Jake’s piercing stare as you slowly circle him, the dagger in your grasp ready to strike if need be. It doesn’t intimidate you one bit how his finger remains resting on the trigger of his gun; he wouldn’t dare to shoot you. You’re sure of it. If he wanted to end you, he would have done so already.

He would have done it a long time ago.

“Avatar of Bastet, step aside. I have a duty to oblige,” he gravels out, making no attempt to lower his weapon.

“I will not,” you shake your head, the goddess of protection whispering in your ear to end this dispute and proceed with your assignment. “Lockley, you have to understand— I’m only doing as I’m told, just like you are.”

“Khonshu’s order must be carried out to protect the vulnerable. On the other hand, you protect those who commit evil.”

Your stern gaze falters as you grit your teeth. It was true what Jake had said. Bastet instructs you to defend the people who implore for her mighty protection. No matter who they were or what they’ve done, it was your responsibility to keep them safe, using whatever means necessary.

“I have a duty to oblige,” you echo his earlier words, releasing an exhausted breath at Bastet’s voice clouding your mind.

“She’s telling you this is the last time, isn’t she? That after this, she’ll set you free,” Jake remarks, and you meet his eyes, stunned. “You don’t have to listen to her, cariño. You can just walk away.”

“I-I...”

One more mission, child. Complete this, and you will be free of me.

One more mission. And you’re free.

In a flash, you manage to tackle Jake’s weapon out of his hand and swiftly pin him onto the concrete ground.

“I’m sorry, Jake. But I have to do this. I have to try...”

You ball up a fist and knock him out cold, the world suddenly falling silent all around.

Guilt eats at your heart for what you’ve done. You never wanted to hurt Jake. You didn’t even want to lay a finger on him.

You could only hope that one day when all of this is over, he’d forgive you.

Perhaps, one day.

Fandom: Marvel - Moon Knight (Mafia AU)

Pairing: Marc Spector x F!Reader, Steven Grant x F!Reader, Jake Lockley x F!Reader

Summary: To ensure you’re always safe even after his passing, your father, a mob boss, makes you marry his right hand, Marc Spector. You don’t necessarily hate Marc, but you don’t get along either. Therefore, this marriage of convenience may be a bit difficult for you.

Warning: explanation of DID -> mentions/implications of trauma

"Well that went well." Marc mumbles to himself as he drives back to his own apartment.

"Seems like she hates us," an English accent fills his head.

"She doesn't. She's just frustrated at this whole thing."

The accented voice scoffs, "Well yeah. Imagine hearing that not only your dad is dying but he's making you marry his right hand man who's a cold blooded killer."

Marc tightens his grip on the steering wheel, "I do what I have to so we can survive. You working at the museum was getting us nowhere."

"But we were living a normal life!"

"Look at us, Steven. Look at how far we've come! That's because of me!" He's huffing as he continues the drive home. He knows the things that he's doing isn't right, but he's only trying to keep them above water. Him and his system have struggled for too long. He knows Steven tried, but it wasn't enough.

The only person who knew about his condition was your father. Marc was fronting, beating down on some guy who owed your father money. He said something that triggered Marc, that truly hit him. Not physically, but emotionally. Mentally. He tried his best to not to let it get to him, but he couldn't. He was reminded of what happened to him...them. He was reminded of her. He couldn't shake it. He retreated and Steven fronted.

Your father and the rest of his men were confused as to why Marc was suddenly speaking in an English accent and seemed a bit distressed.

"The hell?" your father gestures for two men to take Marc's place and your father pulls Marc aside, "The fuck is wrong with you, Spector?"

"O-Oh, um, right, well. It seems Marc has, uh, hidden away."

"Hidden away? But you're right here." your father looked at him confused.

"No, no. Um, bollocks, how do I say this? Uh, we have DID, dissociative identity disorder. It seems Marc was distressed about something that poor fellow," he gestures over his shoulder to the guy getting beaten to a pulp, "had said. Shook him up, which means I come forward to protect Marc in a way. It happened due to traum-anyway," Steven shakes his head, "For the time being, Marc is out of commission and you have me."

Your father looked at him in shock, "How the hell have you managed to hide this from me? You've been working for me for years now."

"We're pretty good at managing it, but that bloke really hit a nerve."

Your father snorted, "Well, can you finish this job or..?"

"Oh no. Me, I'm a pacifist. Marc does all the," Steven lightly punched the air.

Your father pinched the bridge of his nose, "Fan-fucking-tastic." he let out a deep sigh, "Go back to the estate and wait for me there."

"Right. Sorry 'bout all this." Steven gave

He promptly got in a car and made his way back to the estate.

Your father had requested your presence the next day. After a meeting with his lawyer, he gestured you in. Now you two are sitting on his couch, sipping a Jack and Coke.

"So how'd dinner go?" he asks you with a smirk.

You cock a brow at him, "Marc didn't tell you anything?"

He shrugs, "Just said that it went well."

You couldn't help but chuckle, "I wouldn't put it that way."

"Sunshine, did you give him a hard time?" he looks at you with a warning tone.

"No. Yes. Maybe?" You turn your body more towards him, "Dad, I was and still am a little upset about this whole thing! I don't get a choice here!"

He waves you off, "Honestly, more of a formality. It's not like I'm asking you two be in love and have kids. I just want to make sure you're both alright once I pass."

You scoff, "Marc doesn't need help, dad. He doesn't need anyone to care for him."

"Well it's nice to have a companion to support you when you're having a rough time," he sets his glass down on a nearby table, "Sunny, listen," he takes one of your hands in his, "I know you're a big girl, but I'm just worried something might happen once I'm gone. Whether it's another gang or just normal life struggles, the only person I can trust that will look after you is Marc. You don't have to love him. You two can have your own companions if that's what you want. But you two marrying each other ensures that you'll be okay."

Sure. Fine. Okay. You get it. Your dad loves you and cares about your safety, but-" But what if we divorce after you...you know?"

He pats your hand, "I have some things in place for that."

"Which are...?" you try to push him to explain but he shakes his head, "That won't be revealed until I'm dead."

You look at him deadpan, "You can't be serious."

He smirks at you, "Sunshine, I didn't get here by not taking things seriously. You know that." he stands and bends over to press a kiss to your head, "Marc will be arriving soon to take you to your charity meeting."

You look at him confused, "Why?"

"So you can get to know each other more," he waves at you, "Love you and enjoy the rest of your day."

You down the rest of your drink and stand from the couch, "Thanks. Love you too," you murmur as you collect your things and exit your dad's office.

Smells like books, coffee and egyptian cotton. Its just so homey, you wanna wrap yourself up in the scent and stay there forever. I feel like he also occasionally smells like good quality chocolate.

Marc Spector

Smells like cinnamon and vanilla. He also smells like lemon pound cake or something citrus and i cant explain why, i just believe he does.

¡Muchas gracias! Me había tardado porque le estuve dando vueltas a la idea, y aquí va con mucho amor <3 :

Solecitos (Headcanons - Jake Lockley como papá)

-Jake asumía que sería papá eventualmente. Es lo habitual entre los latinos, nada fuera de lo ordinario, pero fue inesperado cuando su sol le confesó que estaba embarazada.

-Jake casí se infarta cuando le diste la noticia. Estaba tan acostumbrado a siempre ser el protector de los muchachos, que muy en el fondo no creía merecer tener una vida propia. Inclusive, se había convencido que estabas con él porque antes conociste a Steven y Marc.

-Casi rompe en llanto cuando le dijiste que era el primero de los muchachos al que le dabas la noticia

-Los 3 muchachos fueron contigo al primer ultrasonido, y se turnaron para ver al solecito. El último al frente, Jake, tomó la impresión del ultrasonido y la guardó, en lo que terminabas de revisar detalles con la enfermera sobre tu próxima cita.

-Atrapaste a Jake observando la foto del ultrasonido con una seriedad terrible. Por un momento te sentiste nerviosa al ver su expresión, pero la sonrisa que viste en su rostro unos segundos después no podrás olvidarla jamás.

-Jake esperó hasta sentir que Marc y Steven no estaban conscientes, para decirte lo que había descubierto. Por las semanas estimadas según el ultrasonido, habías estado con Jake al momento de la concepción.

-Te preocupó el que los muchachos sintieran celos los unos de los otros, así que Jake y tú, acordaron mantener en secreto las fechas exactas. Hicieron todo lo posible por dar datos estimados cuando Marc y Steven preguntaran. (Está de más decir que Jake estaba encantado de que tú y él tuvieran un secreto así de bonito).

-Marc y Steven ya lo habían deducido, pero estaban emocionados por ser padres, y les daba gusto saber que Jake por fin se estaba permitiendo vivir una vida propia, no sólo como protector.

-Los cuatro acordaron llamar al bebé solecito, en lo que decidían un nombre. Era un apodo lindo y perfectamente podía ser para niño o niña, además de que Jake lo había escogido.

-Un par de ocasiones durante el embarazo, encontraste a Jake encerrado en el baño, observando a la nada, en silencio. Te costó mucho trabajo hacerlo hablar, pero finalmente te confesó que tenía miedo de ser un mal padre. No había tenido los mejores ejemplos del mundo, y no era precisamente bueno expresando sus sentimientos.

-Le aseguraste que el simple hecho de preocuparse lo volvería un excelente padre, y que juntos averiguarian en el camino todo lo que fuera necesario.

-Al momento del parto, Marc y Steven entraron en pánico. Jake también, pero logró mantener la compostura e insistió en manejar el taxi a toda velocidad en vez de llamar a una ambulancia.

-Jake se negó a dejar la sala de parto hasta que vio al solecito nacer y a ti respirar con un poco más de tranquilidad. Se juró siempre guardar el recuerdo de su primer llanto y tu primer sonrisa al bebé.

-Steven estaba al frente cuando por fin lograron los doctores convencerlos de salir al pasillo. Sus manos, usualmente entrelazadas sobre su pecho, buscaron los bolsillos de la chamarra, donde encontró un puro.

-Jake había llevado un puro cubano, y tomó control en cuanto Steven lo encontró. Orgullosamente dijo que esto hacían los padres latinos cuando nacía el bebé. Una enfermera lo obligó a apagarlo apenas un par de minutos despues, para su mala suerte.

-Estaba Jake alegando con la enfermera sobre el puro, cuando escuchó tu grito. No entendía que estaba pasando, pero de inmediato regresó a la habitación, aún contra los intentos de la enfermera por detenerlo.

-En resumen, el sistema casi se desmaya cuando de nuevo te encontrabas pujando. El solecito no era el solecito, en realidad eran dos solecitos.Un par de gemelos, niño y niña.

-Para evitar peleas, no dejaste que ninguno de los 3 muchachos cargara primero a los solecitos. Lo hiciste tú, y posteriormente ellos. Steven y Jake dudaron mucho, porque ambos se veían muy fragiles. Steven tenía miedo de dejarlos caer, Jake de romperlos. Marc tenía miedo de ambas cosas, pero decidió enfrentar sus miedos. A pesar de ello, al final, fue Jake el primero de los tres que se atrevió a cargarlos, aunque sólo cuando estaba sentado sobre la cama, y con tu supervisión.

-Ser el protector de Marc y Steven había sido una carga. Había visto mucha sangre y recibido abusos indescriptibles para cuidarlos, pero había soportado por amor, por amor a los hombres que consideraba sus hermanos. Había sido una imposición, algo que nunca pidió, ni quería, pero que aceptaba. Ahora orgullosamente quería ser el protector, no sólo de sus hermanos, sino de los gemelos, de ti. De su mundo.
