I’m going to focus on chores this evening and tomorrow evening and study while I wait for my laundry to finish.

Why I find labels annoying
I find labels on jars, bottles and furniture pretty annoying. It triggers my anxiety in a way that is more subtle and unconscious than I would like, and for this reason I could not identify this as a trigger for the longest time.
I read an article about it somewhere, almost three years ago. I think it was one of those minimalist dudes or maybe Leo Babuta from zen habits. They explained how your mind may perceive the labels as 'shouting at you' every time you catch a glimpse. I think that is it. I didn't have my own space for a long time and now I do, so my life, my rules!
I tore off labels of every thing on the counter, table or put in full view. For those that I needed or couldn't tear labels off, I put them in cupboards.
Makeup: I put my skincare and makeup products in translucent jars (recycled from scented candles). That way, I don't look at them every time I open my medicine cabinet.
I hope it brings me some calm. I hope it does you too, if you are inclined to tear them off like I do.

minimalism is not just about decluttering or owning fewer possessions. It's a mindset, a deliberate choice to simplify our lives and strip away distractions that hinder our journey to fulfillment.

🤗🐮🐄 Cozy cows catching the first sunlight. 🖖😊 Bonus text: Would you like to wake up to this view too? Granted, it is neither a turquoise-blue ocean with a white sandy shore nor a majestic mountainscape in the alps. No exotic rainforest or savannah safari tour. No sunrise over the New York City skyline and no sunset behind the Golden Gate Bridge. But it is enough. It is down-to-earth, rural, and real. To me, it is home, which gives it an additional flair, connected with memories and emotions. There are so many ways to look at this. For example psychologically, or from an economical or ecological standpoint, etc. Do we always need more, better, bigger? When is it enough? Shouldn't we be content and happy with what we have, and be grateful for it? Maybe more people are currently realizing that during times like these, where public life and travel are restricted. (repost from December 2020)

The Stoic Week Challenge: Saying 'No' to Excess.
Welcome to the Stoic Week Challenge: Embracing Simplicity in a World of Excess In a time when our lives seem to be dictated by the incessant demand for more—more gadgets, more engagements, more everything—it’s revolutionary, almost rebellious, to stop and ask ourselves, “Do we truly need all this?” Inspired by the Stoic philosophy, which advocates for wisdom, courage, justice, and temperance, we…
