GaaSaku 2023 FanFest Day1

Promt: Punch me/BAMF

He certainly hadn’t expected this.

Even in his recent months spent as the newly elected fifth Kazekage of Sunagakure, there were still few of Gaara’s people that approached him so boldly, and even fewer foreigners. It used to be his quiet and foreboding presence that kept others at a distance, but now that he’d softened around the edges, it was his grand title and honored standing that sat him at a pinnacle other’s thought beyond approach. In the past, eyes were cast down in fearful respect, now it was done with wise recognition.

Either way, direct gazes avoided him all the same, and it felt no different.

But this…this was different.

Sakura Haruno stood at the front of a gathering of fresh-faced genin all lined up in neat rows under the morning sun. She was center of them all and held the front spot in her line; a tall stance, shoulders squared, warm light shining on pale skin, eyes bright and facing straight ahead, straight at him.

On this arid and calm desert day, Gaara had arrived at the training grounds of Suna not twenty minutes prior; he had guests to welcome.

The bi-annual chunin exams were about to get underway, and Sunagakure had been chosen as the host city. It had been nearly two decades since the exams had been held here, and Gaara was keen on showcasing their growth in not only their military, but in their infrastructure as well. The passing of his father shifted the city’s focus from exponential military growth to more domestically centered focuses; improving education and academy access, repairs to their extensive systems of aqueducts that quenched the thirsty populous, upgrades to their medical facilities, and much more.

His people were happier, daily hardships were easing back just a little, and the city certainly breathed differently now than it had in his childhood. He was proud, he wanted to boast their accomplishments with confidence and pride, but now he suddenly felt…anxious?

“Could you repeat that, Sakura?”

“I said I’d like to spar,” she said again without hesitation, the slightest hinting of an upturn pulling at the corner of her lips. Her eyes hadn’t left his, his tongue was going dry, and just as that time in the forest, he was unshakably locked on those bright, dazzling emerald eyes.

He recognized those stood behind her as Shikamaru’s old team, it seemed that Sakura made the perfect match for them without Sasuke and Naruto to join her, but the incredulous look plastered across their faces was mirrored by most other genin in attendance. Here she stood; in line with all the other contestants, still at the bottom rung of the ladder through the ranks, and she had asked the Kage of the Wind nation for a spar.

He had only just finished his welcome to the contestants, encouraging them to make themselves at home and use any training grounds permitted to them as they saw fit, and hadn’t yet offered to answer any questions when she had stepped forward. It was as if no one else were present when she flashed a polite smile his way, thinly veiled by that mischievous look in her eyes, and asked if he could spare her some time. It was such a direct question, from effectively the last person he’d assumed would ask, that he paused his speech, his words failing him for a moment.

“I apologize,” he began, taking the opportunity to practice his manners. “But I am a busy man.”

She shrugged, still holding his eyes with her own, and he couldn’t tell if the sun had kissed her face just a little or maybe the heat was getting to her, but she looked slightly flushed. “I can be patient.”

He remembered she and Ino pit against each other before; an unfortunate matchup that perhaps tempted them to pull their punches against old friends. He had certainly found it mundane and unexceptional to watch. Either way, her strength may have been lacking at that time, but her tenacity had been clearly on display when she’d intervened between himself and Sasuke. It hadn’t stopped him, but it had slowed him down, clouded his thinking, and he was sure it was ultimately what saved the Uchiha’s life that day.

But she stood before him today a rebuilt and remade individual; there was confidence to her poise, an elegance to the way her high chin emphasized her neck, and her captivating gaze contained a knowing quality that left echoes of intrigue resonating through his body. She had seen him fight, she had seen him break bones and draw blood, she had even faced him and lived to tell the tale. Not many in her position had been able to say the same, and now she was essentially asking for a rematch in front of everyone.

He hadn’t mean to, but he heard himself reply, “All right,” before continuing with his welcoming address. The genin all bent an ear to listen, but he could tell that her public and very unconventional request had them distracted. It was a good thing he had gone over his talking points once again before starting, he was getting rather distracted as well.

Those eyes hadn’t left him, sparkling in the sunlight and bejeweled as they were, and no matter where he put his focus on the gathered crowd, he could still feel the weight of them on him. Where his palms getting sweaty?

It didn’t matter, he was finished with his piece as the head seat of the city and turned them over to Shikamaru who had come to explain the layout of the exams. Stepping aside, he was freed from her gaze as she gave the new speaker her attention and was allowed to more comfortably observe the curious happenings of his morning.

She stood just as proudly before Shikamaru as she had him, no longer the shuddering leaf that had been frightful of so many of their opponents before. His mind’s eye didn’t have the clearest picture of her back then, he’d found her so overlookable when outshined by her teammates, but he couldn’t overlook how inviting her figure had become, or how he found that he preferred the length that was returning to her hair, and how mature and defined the roundness of her face had gotten. She stood a bit taller now, they all did, and he could tell the definition of her muscles reflected the work she’d done to allow such confidence worn across her face.

Could a few years really change that much?

He’d been stared down quite enough since the start of the genin address, and he wondered how different he looked from her perspective. Had his stature reflected the improvements he’d undergone? Did his face look more mature as well or, now a little self-conscious, did he still look to be a boy wearing his father’s robes? With no necessity for it, he’d forgone most of the usual strength training done by those in their profession, but his fight with Lee had incentivized him to train otherwise; was it noticeable at all? He suddenly found himself conscious of his posture, second guessing the expression he wore, and found it difficult to keep his eyes from sliding back to this unexpected distraction.

Even after she had glanced his way, catching him mid-stare, he’d only looked away for a moment.

Soon, too soon given how he’d yet to find the words, the genin were all dismissed and gradually went their separate ways. A few senseis had approached him with a question or two, gratitude for hosting the exams, the typical formalities he’d been expecting, but in truth he’d only half paid attention to anything they said and whatever he strung together in reply. Again, he could feel those eyes on him, an itching in the back of his mind that made his pulse throb in his throat and an unfamiliar anxiousness to settle in his limbs.

Of course, he shouldn’t have been surprised when she walked up to him the moment he was free, her first words just some regurgitated pleasantries that the others had already said. Perhaps it wasn’t the approach that had surprised him, maybe it had been how favorable he found that sweet and warm scent of vanilla that clung to her skin, or how it was his own heart that was beginning to race against his chest.

He'd nodded to her gratitude, though by the look in her eyes he could tell that she knew he hadn’t listened to her words, nor looked her in the eyes as she said them. Something about the way her lips moved when she spoke to him was diverting his attention. “What are you hoping to achieve?” he asked, perhaps sounding a little standoffish due to his very real apprehension.

She shrugged, her eyes holding his gaze captive. “I just want to see,” she offered innocently enough, though the knuckle crack he’d heard from her gloved hand was anything but.

The clear challenge in her eyes stirred him. It had been months since someone provoked him like this, and they hadn’t been keen on his abilities like Sakura was; their arrogance had been born of ignorance and Gaara couldn’t help but wonder what her’s was born from. He tried not to smirk with his next words, though he failed, and returned her challenge in kind. “See how long you’ll last trying to hit me?” he goaded, the dignified tone of the Kazekage melting away as if to playfully deride her.

“No,” she refuted firmly, thought that sly expression still blessed her features. He could tell now that the sun hadn’t been the thing to kiss that color across her face, it had been a subtle flush across her skin, one that grew deeper when that smirk of his had slipped. Flushed or not, she was still fiery. “To see how long it takes me to hit you.”

Another unexpected outcome of his morning, another smirk he felt pull at his features, and this time she did break her gaze away from him, brushing her hair behind her ears and attempting to downplay her blush.

“Well,” he said, his tone casual. “Let’s go.” He began walking off to a more distant end of the training grounds, an area he specifically hadn’t set aside for visitor use.

She followed quickly after him, he could feel the steps she took atop the sandy earth, and he wondered how someone as petit and light of foot as her thought to approach him with such a bold request. “I thought you were a busy man,” she said, not wanting to sound displeased but wanting to convey that, yes; she did in fact know that he had other – more important – things to attend.

“I am,” Gaara agreed, looking over to Sakura who came to walk in line at his side. Again, he tried a smirk, wanting to see if it gave her skin that same rouge as before. It had, and she’d yet again avoided his eyes for a second. “But I don’t believe that you’re a patient woman.”

Hey guys, wishing you all a Happy New Year! May this year be better than the last!

With a new year comes a fresh new start; and we, at the forum, have been discussing things amongst each other to set up some new changes for this year.

As you may be aware, we’ve run a lot of activities such as Meta Monday, Naruto Polls, DDN, monthly Fic Recs, and much more; and you may have noticed that throughout the past year, the consistency and frequency became less and less.

This is because there are only 3 mods here, and irl happenings kept keeping us busy and knocking us down, so the activities became unmanageable.

What we’ve been discussing is how to change that, and how to revive the activities that you know & love without it overwhelming us; and we’ve decided that there will be some slight changes to some of the activities themselves, and the frequency will change. They will still be run regularly, but less often; and as the year goes by, we may change the frequency, depending on how easy they are to run.

But for now, here are the main changes:

Meta Monday & Naruto polls will be run bi-weekly

DDN, Fic Recs, and Creator Spotlight will be run every 3 months

Meta Monday will change from having a Meta question & answer, to simply being a question; and if the poster wishes to answer, they will do so in the comments

Creator Spotlight will no longer be seeking individual creators for interviews, but will be asking everyone questions, so everyone has a chance to talk about & share their creations

We are reintroducing Fanwork Friday, where fanworks will be recced from previous events, such as Valentine’s Weeks & Maze Challenges

These are all the activities we’d like to start with, but we may reintroduce more or increase the frequency as time goes by, however, we have other mod duties, too, such as planning & running events, and doing forum maintenance (creating new emojis, writing how-to manuals to help you navigate the site, etc.), so it all depends on what we can manage on top of irl stuff.

Thank you for being so patient with us, and we look forward to enjoying another wonderful year with you all!

"Shut up"-rubric

So, Lin Kuei. A clan of assassins in the service of the Earthrealm. Dangerous and secretive masters of their craft.

And they are absolutely incompetent in this very craft.

As they say: "I'll write down every minute who sucked a dick where" (с)

Let's just say - yes, Lin Kuei are hired killers, just like in the old timeline. Why? They are the defenders of their homeworld, a noble clan!.. Shut up and answer yourself a couple of important questions - what means do they exist for and how do they earn a living. To maintain the work of a complex organization, resources are needed - first of all, money. It is necessary to maintain a base (a temple or something else), train fighters, maintain a staff of informants, buy ammunition and medicines, weapons, equipment and everything else. All this requires funds. And Lin Kuei clearly does not enjoy the support of any state, does not produce something independently on a sufficient scale, they do not have the opportunity to be completely self-sufficient. So, probably, their mercenary activity is literally what allows them to survive, develop and prepare for the defense of the Earthrealm. To draw an analogy, this is similar to the system shown in Naruto, where ninja villages also traded contracts of varying complexity, so they literally had something to survive on. However, they were ready to defend the interests of their country, and this was literally their goal.

And if we have dealt with this, then we will move on.

There is every reason to believe that the main trio of Lin Kuei - Bi Han, Kuai and Tomas, are masters in their profession, with enough experience and knowledge to be considered professionals. Secretive, deadly, able to use both their combat power and the skills of quiet killers, isn't it true?

Not true.

And the trailer of Lin Kuei in all its glory shows his incompetence.

Let's start with the little things - the equipment. A specialist is as good as his tools are good. And the trailer throws us in the face…

…this.

In another frame (if you have seen an exclusive fragment of the story clip), you can see how massive this telescope is. Ergonomics? No, thanks.

Where do you wear it, dear? There are no pockets, no pouches, nothing on your uniform. Why complicate your life (and worsen the review) by using an unambiguously outdated device? Your new era is clearly the twenty-first century. Or is Lin Kuei in such a dire financial situation?

But okay, the equipment is not such a terrible mistake, and he could take it anywhere, take it from a corpse, for example. How about how Lin Kuei warriors act in practice?

Answer: it's fucked up.

Here we see the fortress where they are making their way. Knowing that there are opponents there (again, this was shown in an exclusive fragment). In the daytime. Wait until dark or dusk? No? Why didn't they do it? Okay, it's possible that they were hurried by time, but even so, they chose literally the most illuminated fucking wall for climbing. Although it is clear that there are enough shadow areas where they would not be so noticeable in their colored clothes. Especially Scorpion is just the pinnacle of invisibility (sarcasm) in his bright yellow robe.

Despite the fact that they clearly have no problem with climbing. You have a cryomancer, you have a flying dude. You have the owner of the longest damn rope for climbing up. The relief of the wall clearly did not play a decisive role here. It's just that our nice fools don't think with their heads.

Well, to hell with it, with this wall, they may have chosen a place with the least security (which is doubtful), but what do they do once inside, in the courtyard of the fortress?

They are literally walking in the most open place. If there were no plot necessity, they would have been noticed in no time, raised the alarm and stuffed with arrows for a change.

Stay in the shade, use shelters and landscape features, almost any sane person will say. Bullshit, we will do stupid things, the "professional killers" from Lin Kuei will tell you.

But Bi Han's behavior raises even more questions here. We're not even going to talk about the ice tackle, which he did for some shit without any need. Let's remember about the murder he commits in the frame.

A soldier in armor with an open neck, but with a breastplate. How to secretly kill him? So that he died quickly and quietly, without attracting attention to himself?

WELL, OF COURSE, TO POKE AN ICE KNIFE INTO THE MOST PROTECTED PART OF THE ARMOR, HOW DID YOU NOT GUESS

Bi Han, dear, it seems you are no stranger to taking people's lives quickly and quietly. Why didn't you punch him in the throat, which would have been safer and faster? He was standing with his back to you, you couldn't have known one hundred percent that your knife would pierce his armor. Why are you embarrassing yourself so much? You're a fucking professional.

Damn, we understand that it's really not the fault of the characters. But all their stupid actions really look very funny and sad. Well-coordinated, well-honed work would be much more spectacular than these pathetic attempts. In the end, it's simple… it's a sad sight. And once again, Lin Kuei are exposed as just stupid people who can only engage in head-on collisions, which negates their role as hired secretive killers.

Blog Maintenance & News

What's up everyone it's me ya boy. That guy who draws naruto n' shit. Anyways.

Here's a quick run down of my current projects for the year and what I hope to be doing in the last quarter of it.

COMMISSIONS

The que is currently six (6) pieces deep, in varying degrees of progress. (I opened Discord-only comms briefly in February as I was cycling through my work-load.)

I do not foresee any slots opening back up to the public until this work load is 100% complete. The household is relatively stable financially so I can allow myself this.

That said, the estimated time range is around late July to early August.

I aim for two commission batches before my next price update in December. However, given how things have been unfolding this past year, and how my pace has slowed dramatically after a few near run-ins with burn-out, I may only open slots once before then. (If this is the case, I will push off the price update until next year.)

COMMUNITY PROJECTS

To avoid over-promising and running into the same issues that I did middle of last year with near burn-out, I will not be participating in any Character or Ship Week related events.

I've also limited my involvement in larger scale projects down to two separate ones.

PATREON / KO-FI

I honestly don't know when this is going to happen. There's been a few set backs, and I would like to have some of the equipment I need before I even start setting up for the bi-yearly bundles and such, and also I am aware that my recent turn-out for projects is probably a bit of a turn-off for those who seek a machine.

I have a physical retail job. Like that's it I just have a life I can't be cranking out whole drawings every few days and I gotta figure out how I want to balance this with my other responsibilities if this comes to be.

Estimated launch would be beginning of next year— a whole year later than I originally wished to launch it.

PERSONAL PROJECTS

Boy howdy have I got a few of these cooking. It is a little rough working on wholly original works at times simply because I have an unhealthy fear of rejection when it comes to my art, but we are entering an era where Maphel will do as he pleases and post it as he pleases and it will not always be 100% anime men boinking.

Working on outlining main story beats for a novella I want to write.

Late April/Early May will be when I drop a forklift worth of wips, sneak peeks, and concept pieces in one massive post (or maybe two if it gets too big.)

I’ve said it before but i really do just HC that most of the characters from major franchises are pansexual (unless the author clearly states their sexuality) 🖤 for me, shipping just comes to to personalities I like to see together really and what I think they can build together.

I just remembered something I wanted to do.

Essentially, I grew up reading and watching yaoi (and also self-identify as a fujoshi) and it's always been a dream of mine to have a queer show go on for as long as something like Naruto or SpongeBob. You know, just longer than three seasons as is typical with shows that have queer main characters.

So, I'll share some of the stories of mine that either have MCs that are gay, have queer characters, or have a plot related around something LGBT.

Also, I wanna use this as a way to detail special cases in my stories as well.

! I am but a simple ally. So if something I say is wrong or there's a better way to phrase it, please kindly let me know. I truly mean no offense by anything here !

Stories with gay MCs

Tales That Were Told (Not written)

So, this is a story that's pretty much done but I haven't written one bit of it aside from a random scene I had to get out of my head. But, originally, this was just a story where two highschool kids were dealing with highschool shit. A slice of life story with two cuties. Then, it got turned into this new story (Tales That Were Told) that is a sequel to another story I'm still currently writing (Tales That Were Lived). It's hard to summarize, but essentially the main story is an adventure dealing with three characters and a fantasy world where they're all coming to terms with finding themselves and learning to love who they are despite where they may come from. In Tales Told, I intend for this story to have like relationship shit, but the relationship is two men *gasp*. It's not gonna be some weirdly specific thing; no, they're just two kids who have a crush on each other while other shit in the world is going on. Revolutionary concept I know.

Unnamed erotica (unedited, 40k wc with a planned sequel at 10k currently)

it has a name, but I don't really like it :(

I was a little iffy about writing this one at first because I'm the type of person who's extremely tired of queer media just being softcore porn. I just want a good story and the characters happen to be gay. But, I also know it's important to write stories like these as well to show all the different sides and to show people that there's not much different about anyone who happens to be lgbt. In this story, my MC Kit is a famous voice actor (like Johnny Young Bosch) and is a total asshole that everyone is scared shitless of. His soon to be boyfriend is a lovestruck puppy boy childhood friend who is desperate to be with him. He's so sweet it's almost sickening! They deal with normal relationship issues, societal problems, workplace harassment, as well as their own personal issues and some of their issues are even from each other. scandalous. Kit as the MC has a million and one issues within himself (including some from his family), but his loverboy is right there to help him! Also, here's another summary I wrote for this on my website that better explains the origin of the story.

Stories with queer characters

Orange Perfect (unfinished at 21k)

This is had a few mentions of queerness in it. A quick summary: this is a coming-of-age story where three kids (Cassie, Lucius, and Shay) are forced to become friends after all getting targeted by a gang. The MC named Shay is discovering himself. He doesn't know if he's gay, bi, non-binary, gender non-conforming, etc... and is conflicted about his various feelings as he wishes he had a simpler answer for how he feels. Another important character is a trans man (Gabe) who acts as a physical representation of Cassie's own realization of who she wants to be. It's tough for her to live as herself, so Gabe eventually reveals to her that he is a trans man. That his struggles to realize who he really was changed once he accepted himself. As well, he wants her to be different from himself as he's still living partially in the dark since very few people know he's trans.

Any story that has one character named Ren in it (too many to count)

Ren is my MCs twin brother (whenever I want her to have a twin brother) and he is always in a relationship with another character named Mari who I originally made as a trap (I was like twelve). Now a days, Mari is just best described as a twink, but I like his name too much to change it. So that part of the "trap" still exists. Ren is full on gay and screams it from the rooftops as he expresses his interest in men quite often. He's not a flamboyant gay, but he will openly tell people he has no romantic or sexual interest in women and isn't shy to kiss his boyfriend in public. Oh and bonus that women often like him and he has a ton of female friends.

The Entire Fourth Dimension Reality series (total wc of ~100k)

Aside from this story being one long shit post I thoroughly loved making. One of the secondary main characters is suppose to be pansexual. Why this is, is because she only interacts with the other three main characters because she finds them cute (one girl and two guys). Now, she's actually pan for a reason. It's mainly due to her family that made her desire to be loved by everyone around her. This manifested into her just liking anything that would show her affection. (dw Mandy, I love you💗) One of the villains I made to be feminine presenting because he was really pretty in my head when I first developed him. He was going to be genderless, but I decided to make him more feminine and most of that is just with his appearance, but he is defined as a man and acts as so, he just happens to have traditional female attire and mannerisms :)

All The Screams (unedited at 61k)

So, the main point of this story is about Cassie who ends up finding out that she's cursed, but she only does so after going on a mission to escort the prince of her kingdom to his lover. This mission is kept secret and why lies in who this lover is. It's a prince from another Kingdom. Kyo, the prince of Cassie's kingdom, is a little selfish brat who wants what he wants. He fell in love with another kingdom's prince and immediately chose him over his kingdom. With the other prince, his parents are actually gay as well and I made this story around the time I was heavily into yaoi and BL so that may have been an influence as to why tons of characters in this story are gay or why there's major plot points relating to it.

Characters that are iffy/I didn't plan to be queer

The State of Quandary (unfinished with ~60k)/ Before the Reignfall (finished with 45k)

Technically this involves two characters. One of the MCs (Fang) and the MCs friend (Dani) are in the same boat. Originally, Dani was suppose to have a crush on the other MC (Cassie), and that was suppose to explain why Dani even interacts with her in the first place and why they have such a close friendship. However, it felt queerbaity and I felt gross having that as a plot point when it's so obvious Cassie will never even get close to having romantic feelings for Dani. Then, I thought to have Dani be a lesbian because she has trauma with men and dislikes most, if not all, grown men in the world. Fang was the remedy with that as I thought to make them be in a relationship as Fang would be the first guy she ever met who isn't a total loser. However, Fang was originally going to be involved in a love triangle before I realized there's a bit to many conflicts in the story and got rid of it. So, I ended up in a gray area where Fang also doesn't show any interest in women (the result of the love triangle being removed) So, this was my fix. People can either think Fang and Dani are cute together and he manages to break through her trauma, people can think they're both gay and just show no romantic interest in the opposite sex, or their romantic feelings for anyone just isn't important to the story whatsoever. And tbh, I don't mind any one of those options. It's cool when there's different ways to interpret character relationships and it won't lead to fans fighting each other if even I don't really know what it is.

Tales That Were Told (Unfinished at ~90k words)

This villain is a doozy. Their name is Gage and when I first made this character, I pretty much was going to make a woman. However, when I started writing the story, she turned into a he and not even in a way like I intended to change the gender, but even now whenever I write Gage, they're a he. When I think of Gage, they're a she. I don't know what that's about, but even my mental image of Gage is that of both a woman and a man. (If anything, they're comparable to Leo from Tekken). So, to fix this in my head, out loud I refer to Gage as a he. I think of Gage as a she. In the story, the narrator doesn't use any pronoun and characters have conflicting usage as most characters refer to Gage as a he, but there are some who see Gage as a she or simply they/them. Oh, and no, just because Gage might be non-binary, that's not why they're evil. It's not even a plot point in the story. No vilifying personality traits over here lol

Unfinished/unplotted stories with queer plotlines

Unnamed romance (Pink and Brown)

I showcased a snipit of this story (also thanks for everyone who liked it 💕), but there's more to it than what I shared. Back when I actually had a friend, I used to tell him about ideas I had, then he would pretty much allow me to figure out what I wanted to do with it. I told him I wanted to make a story with these two girls I made in a picrew because they were so adorable and they ended up as a couple. I couldn't think of a name so they were named Pink and Brown based on their hair colors. I also couldn't think of the official story I wanted them to have. So, I simply came up with two of them. The first story is a slice of life where Brown and Pink are both in college (for IT and Art respectively) and Brown has a huge crush on two girls--one she knows through mutual friends and another being the artists of a webcomic she really loves. (I'm sure this isn't obvious at all). So, one day, Brown gets a call from Pink and she's really stressed out about something. Eventually, she explains she called her since an IT major could help her with someone hacking one of her social media accounts. Brown agrees and when she finds out what the account is, she's shocked to see that Pink is the artist of the webcomic she's been reading for years. I don't even have a damn conflict in this story so it is dead in the water. I'm sure I'll get some idea for it, but knowing me that'll be years from now, unfortunately. Oh, and the snipit I shared is suppose to be the comic Pink is drawing acted as an AU of the original story (if that makes any fucking sense)

Unnamed romance (Idol x non-idol)

This one feels like a fever dream because I don't even remember why I came up with it. Anyways, this is suppose to be a slight extension of the erotica. This is another famous person who ends up falling for an accountant after a random encounter he had with him after a concert. The accountant doesn't want to be involved with this celeb for several reasons, but mainly because he's known to sleep around. The celeb is determined and pretty much forces them to have a relationship by hiring him as his new money manager. He pretty much gets him fired from his old job and... that's all I thought of. It's suppose to end up being really cute as the celeb eventually reveals the kind of person he really is, but what that is, I'm not really sure.

Random Tangent

Now that I'm writing this, it does make me think about an abandoned story I wrote where a failing manager falls in love with a client who essentially saves him from losing his career. The erotica and it's extension are already related, and this other unnamed story (I'll call it The Client for now) had a connection as well. Real quick, all these stories are connected to Orange Perfect through Cassie and other relationships. Without giving away major spoilers (just in case) Cassie ends up as someone very influential in the media world by the end. As a college age girl, she's meeting with the Celeb and the Accountant; and, at some point in her journey, she meets and works with the Manager in The Client. Kit knows a ton of people in the industry and knows the Celeb, the Manager, and Cassie who he has a business relationship with. So, it's easy for me to add Pink. Pink could eventually be offered a contract to a major publication, and cross paths with Cassie through some means. There's even a chance for Kit to voice any character in her webcomic, the celeb to make music for it, and even the manager could help her somehow. Sometimes I get really good ideas for things that just are not possible. I would love to have these five stories apart of a collection in this "reality" I made up for them. Ugh. It sucks to not have this as my actual job. Anyways, I thought it would be kind of cool to have all these stories be related.

That might not be everyone, but I often use queer elements in my story so, who knows, maybe I'll update this in the future with more!

GTS- Genin Training Squad

Naruto Military System

Disclaimer

As a Naruto fan and a former member of the Armed forces the way the Ninja military is handled makes no sense. Now I understand that Kishimoto has no experience with the military and that it would slow the story a lot by having it be like a real military and not a village of mercenaries.

After completing Basic Training they will then be assigned to a GTS- Genin Training Squadron.

After Graduating from Basic training the trainees are promoted to the rank of Tokubetsu Genin. Tokubetsu Genin straight out of basic training and the academy are not yet considered full ninjas as they lack a lot of the skills necessary to perform as a genin and as such they are considered student genin that are required to have supervision at all time in training and missions

1Genin Training Squadron (GTS) Breakdown

JSC-( Jonin Senior Commander)

5 JTI- ( Jonin Training Instructors)

12 CSS- (Chunnin Support Squads)

16 Genin

they would then be assigned to a GTS which is comprised of 29 squad members led by a Jonin Commander in charge of a 4 man squad of JTI’S (Jonin training instructors) and assisted by two squads of CSS (Chunnin Support Squads) as to prevent favoritism and to teach them how to work in multiple different combinations of a 4 man squad. And to also allow for the Jonin to truly see what the best combination of a squad could truly be.

While stationed in a GTS they will be subjected to the highest level of discipline, and as such the first 4 weeks of being stationed they will have their quarters inspected for cleanliness and contraband, they will have uniform inspections daily. they would also be punished for any misconduct including assault and sexual harassment.

Week 1

Living placement- During the first week they will be assigned and moving into the training Squadron compound in shared rooms of 2 and be taught daily tasks such as latrine duty or cooking detail while also learning the rules of the Squadron

Training

in depth testing and review of all the individual skills.

week’s 2-3

Training

will be set to basic physical conditioning and training of ninja skills, while subject to intense discipline.

week 4

Training squad they will be from this point on be put on a Bi-weekly squad rotation where every 2 weeks they will change up the figuration of the squad and assign them to a different JTI during which time they will train in adaptability and teamwork with multiple individuals.

Mission Squad They will also be assigned to a Mission Squad that will also alternate bi-weekly in which case they will be assigned to one of the 4 JTI and during that time they must complete at least 12 D rank missions under each individual Jonin instructor. In order to advance to C rank missions.

After Week 4 if they have shown competency in both maintaining military discipline and following orders they will be allowed leave time outside of the compound but will still have to stick to a curfew and may not stay out unless they have an overnight or weekend pass.

C-Rank Missions

they will not be assigned a (C) rank mission until they have completed all the required individual d level missions and have performed under all 4 training instructors a level of competency.

After Graduating to C-Rank missions For the first 6 C-rank missions they will be accompanied by 2 Chunnin from the CSS to make sure if they are needed for support in case of an emergency.

Graduating From GTS

Genin will graduate from the GTS regardless if they make Chunnin when they reach the age of 19 years old and at which time they they will be placed in the regular Genin Corps and or if they showed exceptional skills during their time in GTS and have completed the requirements, they will be allowed to take the Chunnin selection exam.

After turning the legal Military age of 19 they will be allowed to live by themselves and not be forced to abide by the strict regulation of the GTS but will still be subjected to the standard military law and will be expected to maintain military discipline when on missions and duty.

During this time they will be promoted to the Rank of full Genin.

While assigned to the GTS they are of the rank of Tokubetsu Genin

Hi, maybe a stupid question but do you think Kakashi and Gai might be gay? Gai really likes to spend his time with Kakashi, he doesn’t have a wife and never had any girlfriend, as a little kid he always wanted to be close to Kakashi. Kakashi is a hard character to tell but there are some signs that show he may like guys, I don’t believe in this stupid novel where Kakashi falls in love with some girl, this is not canon. But canonically he was never interested in any girl or woman. He also likes to spend his time with Gai and he talked about his penis. He is also alone. Maybe Kakashi is bi. What’s your opinion on this?

Okay, I don't ship KakaGai or KakaObi... Nor do I have anything against those ships. Infact, I enjoy their fanarts as a whole.

But Is Kakashi Gay or Bi??

The text doesn't suggest anything regarding that. He was never shown to have any romantic inclination towards either Obito or Gai or Rin.

Romantic inclination means a character gets attracted to another character emotionally and sexually. Sexually, in Narutoverse, doesn't mean that the characters wants to bang each other left and right. No. It’s just the characters wanting to kiss, touch, hug, admiring body parts or openly admitting that they love the other person.

Canonically, Obito loved Rin... Romantically.

Rin got attracted to Kakashi... Romantically.

Kakashi had never shown such sexual attraction towards either Obito or Gai... Kakashi peeking Gai's corn is a filler. And Gai, too, had never shown such interests in Kakashi. He always considered him as a rival... Or Let's just set aside the attraction part.

Had Kakashi ever prioritized Gai or Obito more than the other people???

No.

We know that Iruka got a Nosebleed, Hiruzen got a Nosebleed... Well, Jiraiya... That's obvious. Surprisingly Naruto successfully knocked out Iruka, Hiruzen and Jiraiya using his Sexy jutsu... but he never used it against Kakashi.... Also, Kakashi saw both the Girl on Girl Jutsu and Boy on Boy Jutsu which was done by Konohamaru... But he visibly had no reaction except for a frown after seeing Sasuke on Sai. He was frowning because he doesn’t want to see his student like that.

When the Author bothered to make Asuma & Kurenai, a thing... He could've easily made Kakashi to marry a girl, say Anko in Chapter 700. But he ended up making him a Single. (Good for him).

So, it's safe to say that Kakashi is an Asexual. And I feel Kakashi and Gai are best companions for life. I said KakaGai makes sense because usually ships enhances the bond in a different perspective that we didn’t get it in canon. Meaning, Even though I am 100% with the ship, that doesn’t make both of them Gay or Bi in Canon.
