Anyway, Finnick Odair in a room with Kotoko Utsugi. Like, they're both the youngest people to go through their respective killing games (though Kotoko's isn't quite a killing game in the traditional sense), they're both sexual abuse victims and they both want revenge for what happened to them.

The difference is that Finnick had the support of Mags, Annie, Katniss, ect. Whereas Kotoko only had Junko and a collection of just as fucked up children. Finnick could have became Kotoko if he wasn't surrounded by genuine love, and Kotoko could have become like Finnick if someone had genuinely loved her.

I know "60s housewives who invented slash fanfiction" has taken on a life of its own as a phrase, but Kirk/Spock didn't really exist until the 70s and THOSE WOMEN HAD JOBS. They were teachers and librarians and bookkeepers and scientists and they damn well spent their own money going to conventions, printing zines, buying fanart and making fandom happen. Put some respect on their names.

i do unironically think the best artists of our generation are posting to get 20 notes and 3 reblogs btw. that fanfic with like 45 kudos is some of the best stuff ever written. those OCs you carry around have some of the richest backstories and worldbuilding someone has ever seen. please do not think that reaching only a few people when you post means your art isn't worth celebrating.
