Hi! Thank you so much!!!

I wanted to do pharmacy because I liked biology and chemistry, hated blood/sick/hospitals etc so didn’t really want to be a doctor or nurse, and I did a week of work experience in a community pharmacy and loved it!

I then found myself in third year liking hospitals, did my training in hospital, and am now doing my prescribing which means dealing with more blood and sick that I would expect. I do absolutely love it though, and some days when you get asked a random meaty pharmacology question and you have to work out how many mmol of sodium are in a treatment course for a patient or manually calculate someone’s renal function and I’m like yes. This is what I love. The hardcore biology/chemistry background that makes it all make sense and makes you a valued member of the team 💚

sigh. towards the end of the height of autumn, i start craving for winter bc that means the sooner i am to no-school days but then winter comes and then i'm like WHERE DID THE TIME GO. i am not looking forward to that feeling.

Another quick post as I am a tad late in getting ready for ballet today. We have to leave soon. I will get with all of the tag games either tonight or tomorrow. Thank you all for sending them!

Geometry - Learned to construct parallel and perpendicular lines through a point + practice + honors work

Lit and Comp II - Reviewed Unit 21 vocabulary + read chapters 40-41 of Emma by Jane Austen

Spanish 2 - Copied new vocabulary

Bible I - Read Judges 14-15

World History - Read about Atatürk + watched a snippet from the end of a movie about Atatürk + read about Sun Yat-Sen + watched Chinese news clip about Sun Yat-Sen + took notes

thank you to @getbreaded for tagging me, i loved reading yours because i would also kill to live in the cottage from the holiday. hope you have time to take up crochet and yoga again soon!!

🎶 moment's favorite — lately i've been revisiting the music i loved in my adolescence (so... my chemical romance) and listening to cafe / jazz lofi videos on youtube lol

😍 current obsession — my current read, jonathan strange + mr norrell! my edition is 1100 pages long and it's been so delightful to spend so much time in that world :)

👠 style — i wear a lot of brown, pink and green (my neutrals) and as much knitwear and corduroy as i can fit in one outfit

💖 celebrity crush — i don't have one as an adult, but when i was a teen it was brie larson in scott pilgrim and charlie from lost lol.

🍱 favorite meal — i make this lemon + chilli butterbean stew with courgette and tons of fresh herbs, and i have to stop myself from eating it every day

🏡 dream living — a nice bright flat above a bakery with a balcony overlooking a park in a bikeable european city

🤓 hobbies — i write short fiction and read as much as i can. i also love tennis and long walks. and knitting but i haven't made anything in a while bc i've been prioritising other things :)

I've become an independent woman who stopped letting other people influence her beliefs, aspirations and whatnots

I've been allowing myself to really get out of my comfort zone = not turning down opportunities anymore 😌

I am very much blessed with the people that surrounds me, whether it be in person or online

I've come to look at things, positive or negative as an opportunity to learn and grow

I've come to understand the importance of faith, especially in the time we live in now + in the field I'm choosing to pursue

1. i can draw! my hands start to get fidgety if i haven't drawn in awhile - i open mspaint at least twice a day just to get my hands moving, even if i use just a mouse. you don't want to see how many scribbles were in the margins back in high school

2. on a similar vein i can also kinda write, although not as good as i can draw. but writing can be fun! i can also code websites, but not anything too complicated just yet

3. basic moral integrity stuff i guess? like i don't gossip bc i'm uncomfortable with the idea of talking behind people's back, etc

4. people have described me as a good listener

5. managed to get up to a 576 day streak on duolingo before promptly losing it to a cruise because there was no internet connection for a full week. so, uh, determination? ^^'

life lately // enjoying myself so hard it's getting dangerous 🤭

"language learning" but it's just brain-rot 🧠

🇯🇵 Shogun (9/10) — objectively a really good show, but a lot of death and triggering topics for me personally 🥺

🇯🇵 Spy x Family (5/10) — i can only watch one episode at a time now because the plot is getting increasingly ridiculous, please don't be mad at me if you're a fan 😅

🇨🇳 When I Fly Towards You (6/10) — it's silly, but it's also just what you expect from kids of the characters' ages and at times it does tickle that part of my brain that likes candy (i still like Exclusive Fairytale better though, 对不起张陆让)

🇯🇵 Petrichor 花鋏キョウ (10/10) — my new favorite album!! ☺️ even @pianistbynight likes this one and she usually prefers classical music!

🇰🇷 Seventeen on Shuffle (10/10) — my usual suspects never miss 😌

i gave myself a headache from working too much in poor physical conditions again 😭 i didn't notice until the end of the day because i was on a roll at work and it's rare when that happens, so in a messed up way, i feel it was worth it?? i bought a new chair and rearranged my desk setup a little to be more ergonomic, but that only does so much when i have one good night of sleep a week 🙃

my poor sleep is low-key my own fault though since i write and binge cinema therapy videos late into the night because i love doing those things so much that my brain won't shut up until i do them 😛

in other news, i made my favorite pasta recipe!! 😋 but i burned myself and didn't notice until i started washing the dishes in hot water ♨️ wow, me enjoying myself so much i don't notice i'm hurting myself is a real theme here... 🙈 something to work out in detail in my diary some time 🤔
