Encanto idea:
The whole Encanto realizes they never celebrated Mirabel's Quinceanera, and they only have one month left until it's too late (when she turns 16)
so they plan the party while Antonio distracts the guest of honor until it's time (isabella, Alma, and the villagers may or may not have lingering guilt for their treatment toward Mirabel)
It was a simple fact, even though it was horrifying.
Mirabel had not been given a quinceanera.
Isabela, at the time, hadn't questioned it. She was distracted by Mariano's hints that he would propose sometime this year and Abuela's cheer at the fact. Mirabel's birthday itself had almost slipped her mind. She had summoned a bouquet of flowers- multicolored, like Mirabel's creations- before distracting herself with practicing her reaction to said proposal.
Of course, said proposal had been a disaster, Casita had fallen down, and Isabela had discovered herself and rebuilt her relationship with Mirabel.
Which left a fact niggling at her brain.
Mirabel had not been given a quinceanera.
Abuela felt just as awful as she did about it. In fact, it was her idea to create a make-up quinceanera a month before her sixteenth birthday. It would be a little weird, but hey. All birthdays were weird.
And now Isabela was rummaging through Mirabel's closet, hoping to find a dress that she could take to the seamstress. A month was too little time to make an entirely new dress. The same day was too little time!
But they would make it work. They had made everything else work.
Isabela pushed past a few dresses. No, no, no. This one was already covered in embroidery, this one was too flat, this one had too little ruffles... "Come on, she's gotta have a good dress," Isabela hissed. "Somewhere, come on..."
She came to a stop.
The dress she stared at was flat without the petticoats and Mirabel to fill it up, but the design of embroidery candles, changing the soft peacock blue to a mixture of blue and gold, was show-stopping. No doubt. It was a quinceanera dress.
But why was it here?
"Isa?"
Isabela made a noise that she chose to identify as a yelp, whirling around and slamming the wardrobe shut. Mirabel stared at her with a brow raised, holding a stack of clothes. "Mirabel! Hi! What are you doing here?" Nobody could deny they were sisters with that last part.
"Uh...it's my room?" Mirabel cocked her head. "What are you doing?" Her brows furrowed together. "If you're looking for your black summer dress, I think Camilo took it."
"No, I'm not- Wait, what did you say about my dress-" Wait, no, she could deal with that later. "I was looking for something...else, when I found this." Isabela held out the quinceanera dress. "What is this?"
Mirabel glanced at it as she set the clothes down, the furrow in her brow easing to be replaced by it raising. "My quinceanera dress?"
"No, I mean, why do you have one?" Isabela maybe shook it a little bit. "We never threw you a quinceanera."
Mirabel's brow raised even higher. "Yes, we had one?" She sounded like she was ready to call for their mother. "I mean, you probably don't remember it, you were dancing with Mariano all night." What. "It wasn't a big community event like your quinceanera, but I wanted it to be small."
"...we threw you a small quinceanera?"
"Yeah?" Mirabel stepped forward, raising a hand to Isabela's forehead. "I asked Abuela if it could just be the family and some of my friends. She agreed but insisted we invite the Guzmans." Her brow dropped back into a furrow when she failed to find a fever. "I've always hated big public birthday events, but I like the Guzmans so I agreed. Isabela, are you okay?"
Isabela batted her hand away, panic seizing her heart. If that was true, than she and Abuela had possibly done something really stupid. Mirabel, according to the girl herself, hated big public birthday events and that was exactly what was being set up in the town square. "I'm fine! I just...don't remember your quinceanera, that's all."
Mirabel stared at her even harder. "The pictures are on the quinceanera wall," she said, slowly. "I mean, we don't all look at that wall every day, but it's there. Isabela, I think I should call Mami-"
"I'M FINE!" Isabela shoved past, setting the dress on Mirabel's bed as she passed. "I just remembered that I need to do something." She paused, glancing back at her sister. "I...uh...bye- ABUELA!"
Mirabel cried out behind her, but Isabela was already running.
Hopefully, to stop what was going to be the most awkward event ever.

So, another Encanto AU I have is a canon divergence one.
So Bruno leaves before Mirabel is born, and leaves a note for Alma, basically saying he's leaving because of the way he's been treated by her and the village at large. He actually leaves the village and never comes back, and it makes Alma come to terms with the fact she messed up earlier and she decides to change for the better and reconnect with her family.
Julieta is still resentful of her mother for a combination of the past treatment and that she was one of the main reasons Bruno left. Though she's also mad at herself that she didn't do anything.
When Mirabel is born, Julieta keeps her away from Alma as much as she can, despite Alma only wanting to know her newest granddaughter. Mirabei is also autistic officially in this AU, so she's not much of a talker when she grows up yo be 3-5.
I haven't really gotten the details of Alma’s relationship with the rest of the family after Bruno left, but she will have a better relationship with a good chunk of the family. Julieta is the only one who actively dislikes her, with Augustine and her children conflicted as to what they should do.
Love a good canon divergence!
The idea of Alma trying to redeem herself, but it being a little too late (for some of the family) does have a lot of potential. Alongside the idea of Bruno actually leaving and making it more obvious to the family; lots of angst to be found there.
My main queries are:
I don’t get why Julieta would keep Mirabel so well-protected and separate from Alma, but not extend the same treatment to Isabela and Luisa. Yes, they are older, but you think she’d protect all three of her girls even if the older two didn’t get what was happening or saw their Abuela as a good person.
Nor does Agustín liking Alma make any sense. He’s the closest in the film to having a dislike or, at the very least, not an overly positive relationship with her. He is the one who fully stands up to her and defends his kids from her. I see no reason why he wouldn’t take Julieta’s side and try to keep their girls separate from her. If anything, it seems like it would be the other way around.
Similarly, there’s no mention of the warm family, but I understand that you haven’t fully worked out the details of the relationships yet.
Mirabel’s also a newborn baby when most of stuff happens, so this isn’t really relevant to her. Possibly there could be something in Julieta finding out about Bruno’s leaving and the shock sends her into early labour/possible miscarriage - depending when exactly his disappearance occurs before Mira’s birth. Then you can add the loss of a child to Julieta’s struggles as well. (The more interesting figures would be the ones who know Alma’s previous behaviour, to make the comparison of the change).
Again, I am really intrigued by the AU’s premise though and I’d love to do it. I just think some minor details need to be worked out and it needs a name (but don’t feel you have to come up with one). So, if you have any suggestions or thoughts, let me know!

I heard you were looking for Bruno x male reader ideas 🤤
Ooo what about a Bruno x male reader where the reader is like a vagabond that comes to Encanto every year to hang out with the Madrigals? Kind of like a Snufkin and Moomin thing. Like they're kind of together/pining for each other?
One year that M!Reader returns he finds that Bruno isn't waiting for him because he's 'disappeared' so he travels even further in order to look for him, he still comes back every year to see if he's returned. After the events of the movie reader is reunited with Bruno and obviously he's super pissed but he's also so relieved that his favourite boy is back and alive.
Mayyybeeee they get married? uwu'
sorry you had to wait so long for this, hope you like it!
Bruno Madrigal x Male reader
Tumblr media
With your backpack heavy on your shoulders, you finally arrived yet again at la casa Madrigal. All year you would travel, you slept in a tent, and made your money by playing the guitar. You made great friends along the way and got to tell all your amazing stories to anyone who would listen. Every year you hung out with the family for a few days sometimes even weeks. You had never been one to settle down but with the family Madrigal, you wouldn't mind staying in the same place forever. When you sprained an ankle or had back pain Jullietta patched you right up with her cooking. Delores would keep everyone updated on your whereabouts and well-being and when you were close to the village Luisa would meet you halfway to help carry your baggage and gifts with pleasure. The Madrigals were basically your family.
They loved to listen to your tales, especially Bruno who hung at your lips every time you spoke. Even when most people wouldn't really talk to Bruno you saw him as the highlight of your visit. After years of your annual visits to the Madrigals you realized your feelings for the dark haired man. You had a while to think about them on your travels. You were certain he would be the one to make you stay and settle down.
You arrived with Luisa at casita, Camillo and Mirabel ran in your arms. You entered casita with the little girl on your back and a copy of yourself. The other family members came to greet you one by one. Julietta welcomed you with a plate of arepas and Isabella gave you a beautiful flower crown as a welcoming gift. Felix welcomed you with open arms "Here comes my favorite visitante!" The weather was perfect and a big smile was plastered on your face as you chatted with Felix and Agustin.
You tried to keep calm but your eyes couldn't stop wandering over to the door of Bruno's room. Agustin noticed the way you looked around, waiting for that one special person. You turned back to him "Where's Bruno?" Suddenly the room went quiet and the faces around you grimaced. Abuela straightened her back and spoke "We don't talk about Bruno" you were so confused and everything felt wrong. Julietta's hand landed on your shoulder and lead you to the kitchen where she let you sit at the table. While making you a drink she told you how Bruno had disappeared without a note.
The following days felt wrong without his presence, you tried to find him but when you realized he really was gone you stayed alone in his room. Your heart ached as you thought about the last time you had seen him.
The dark eyes look at you with admiration as you sing about the things you had seen on your travels and then a goodbye song. Your song ends and you smile at Bruno "Will you write a song about me by the time you return?"  he asks. "Look in the future and find out." You wink. Bruno opens his mouth"I don't want to" You give him a confused look. He takes your hands in his "I don't want to ruin our future with a stupid prophecy." You give him an understanding look and hold his hands tighter. "I'll be back."
Years passed as you looked for Bruno, asking every person you meet if they had seen the small dark-haired Madrigal.
You didn't find him.
Still, you returned to the Madrigals every single year. The smaller Madrigals had now grown into teenagers and the town had been growing too. Even though it was a delight seeing the colorful family your mind kept turning back to Bruno.
It was your annual visit and you arrived at the spot where Luisa would usually wait. Instead, you were met with Bruno. Your Bruno. Maybe a bit older and with more grey strands of hair. But still yours.
You dropped all your stuff and ran over to him. Grabbing his shoulders to make sure he was real. "How the fuck could you do this to me? I was so worried! I- I didn't know what had happened to you..." Bruno kept apologizing while you teared up. You threw yourself into his arms and you hit the ground together. You hugged the air out of his lungs. "I'm just happy you're back" you told him. His hands cradled your face and wiped your tears. "Te amo" he whispered before passionately kissing you, this time it was him making you breathless. You melted into the kiss. "I still want to hear that song"
A few months later you held the most beautiful wedding the town had ever seen, Pepa didn't ruin it (only because Bruno was marrying you). The whole family worked together to make sure you had the best day. Isabella took care of the flowers, and Julietta cooked a heavenly buffet with delicious desserts... You couldn't stop smiling and every time you met his eyes your heart could beat out of your chest. You finally found your reason to stay.

Time to Rest
Madrigal!reader x Luisa and Julietta (Platonic!)
This is my first time writing any reader insert, or indeed any fanfiction ever! I hope I’ve not done too terrible a job, haha :D
Tumblr media
It was early in the morning, the sun not yet making an appearance in the sky... and already you wanted the day to be over. An intense feeling of dread swirled in your stomach as you threw the covers off of you. You ran your hands across your face as you thought about all the chores you had to do today. Abuela expected so much of you... everyone did.
Quickly you slipped on your favourite outfit, trying hard not to think about how awful you’d feel by the end of the day, before forcing a bright smile on your face as you opened your door. “Good morning, Casita!” You greeted your home the same as always, and Casita replied with the wave of their tiles as usual.
Heading down into the village to get a head start on your chores before the family gathered for breakfast, you headed for a small house on the corner. Dolores had told you at dinner yesterday that she heard the family’s two babies had kept their mother awake all night for the past two nights. Abuela (of course) heard this too, and had already promised your help to her.
You knocked gently on the door, wringing your hands in your clothes and taking a shaky breath in and out as you waited for it to open. As it opened, you were greeted by a miserable woman with heavy, dark eye bags. She lead you in slowly, but it was you who guided her to the sofa.
Sitting down beside her, you took a deep breath and carefully held onto her wrists, letting your eyes shut as you felt the chill inside you growing, as you transferred your energy over to the tired mother, sucking in her own exhaustion. The mother made an surprised cry, and you opened your eyes to find her beaming at you. As the room swayed with you, you let go of her arms, trying to smile in return.
This was the problem with your gift that no one else seemed to realise. Your source of energy was finite, like everyone else, and taking everyone’s fatigue into you was too much sometimes. You often sneaked an arepa from your Mamá’s tray, though you knew they couldn’t fix your exhaustion. They provided a temporary boost, but sometimes that was enough for you to make it to the end of the day.
A voice pulled you out of your thoughts, and you quickly shook your head slightly, fixing a smile on your face. You couldn’t show how you really felt for a single second. You were fine. You were totally fine. The mother thanked you profusely again, and you headed back to Casita for breakfast.
Much of the day continued in the same way, being in the village with a queue of people waiting to have their tiredness taken away by you. Bitterly, you wondered how on Earth they could be tired when they had your family to do everything for them. You glanced over at Isabela creating her beautiful flowers, your younger sister Mirabel with the village children, your mother healing the village folk, and finally your gaze landed on Luisa. She was carrying a huge pile of bricks, to be used for rebuilding something, and your eyes narrowed as you noticed her frown. It was there for a split second, but it was definitely there.
Despite your own fatigue steadily growing, you’d take on the burden of 1000 people if it would help your sisters. “Excuse me for a second.” You said to the vicar who was next in line, before moving off towards Luisa’s direction.
Before you could reach her though, Camilo jumped out in front of you, making you squeak in shock. “Hey… my favourite primo/a!” His voice was exaggerated, and you raised an eyebrow at him, suspecting he wanted something from you. “What? You are! Can’t I say you’re my fave?” You pursed your lips, and hummed, still not buying it, too tired to banter with him. “Okay, fine, I need your help.” And… there it was. “How?” “I was babysitting again and I’m so tired…” He trailed off, clearly expecting you to take the hint. You sighed, wondering if you’d have any energy left to help your older sister Luisa before you had to hide in your room and try to nap to regain some energy before Abuela found out. “Alright… Give me your arms.”
He held out his hands towards you and you gently wrapped your own around his wrists. You found it was best to use a pulse point when using your gift. You closed your eyes and concentrated, grimacing as you felt the familiar chill. “Hey, thanks Y/N!” You struggled to open your eyes as Camilo’s cheerful chirp pulled you back to reality. “No worries…” You mumbled, letting go of his arms and wrapping yourself in a self-hug.
“You okay?” A soft touch on your shoulder made you flinch away. “Yeah... sorry.” You muttered, ashamed of your reaction. Since your gift was controlled by touch, physical contact freaked you out when you weren’t the one initiating it. Your gaze flicked over to where Luisa had been, and you frowned when you saw her rapidly moving away from you. “Sorry Camilo, got to go. See you later.”
Jogging towards your sister, you put your hands on your chest as you found yourself unusually out of breath, calling out “Hey, hermana! Wait up!” Luisa just barely slowed her pace, and you could hear your gasping by the time you caught up with her. “What is it, Y/N? I’m really busy with these bricks, and I have loads to-” “I can help.” You cut her off, throwing your hand out towards her to hint at what you wanted to do for her. “But, don’t you-” “Please, let me help you.” You pleaded, giving your sister puppy dog eyes. “Maybe I... Alright.” A ghost of a smile appeared on your face, as you walked with your sister until she was ready to put the bricks down in the right place.
You held her hands, lightly squeezing them in a show of support, before shifting your hands higher up to her wrists, screwing your eyes tightly shut as you concentrated doubly hard to do a good job for your sister. “Thank you, Y/N”, you smiled, just as Luisa was called away and off she bounded. You were glad of it as the world tilted with you. You felt your vision greying, but though you were exhausted it was worth it to help your family. You headed back to Casita to lie down, forgetting about the queue of people waiting. The vicar called out to you, and ears began ringing as you tried to ignore the sound. He grabbed your wrist to get your attention but this was too much for you to handle. You swayed on your feet before everything faded to black, and you collapsed onto the ground.
Luckily, Luisa was still nearby and was alerted by the gasps of the villagers. “Y/N? Y/N!” Luisa called your name, worry etched into her forehead. Her job was to protect you, her younger sibling, and she had failed. “Can you give us some room?” She called out to the villagers who gathered to look at what was going on. She should never have accepted your help, she was the strong one, she should have been able to handle everything herself. “Y/N, can you hear me?” Luisa pulled you into her arms, picking up with ease, guiding your limp head into the safety of her chest. “Please be okay...” She murmured to you, as she stood up and rushed towards your home. Your Mama would be able to help, she was sure. “Dolores!” She called out to thin air, knowing your prima would hear it wherever she was. “Emergency! Get Mamá ready with her arepas, please!” Luisa hoped that Julietta would have a fresh batch ready by the time you both arrived at Casita.
Since you still hadn’t regained consciousness, Luisa picked up her pace, bounding up the hill to get you home safe and in bed. If she had her way, she wouldn’t let you move an inch for the rest of the week. She felt so guilty that she might have been the reason you were passed out.
Dolores had already heard your collapse, and had pieced together what had happened before Luisa said anything. Abuela was alerted to the situation as she walked passed the doors and saw the glow from your own flickering, just for a moment, frowning as Dolores ran past her to tell Julietta.
“Mi bebé?” The colour drained from your mother’s cheeks, as she rushed to finish her batch of arepas in the kitchen for you. Her oven gloves were still on as Julietta came rushing down to meet Luisa at the door, Casita opening it for the incoming Madrigal siblings.
“Dios mío!” Your mother rushed forward, removing one of the gloves, to reach up and feel your forehead as Luisa adjusted her grip on you. She flinched as it felt scalding hot to her, and her brows furrowed. “Let’s get Y/N upstairs, quickly.” Casita gave your family a little boost up the stairs and opened your flickering door, where Abuela was hovering. Julietta ignored her, her only concern right now was you. Luisa gently set you down on your bed, pulling the covers over you before kneeling down beside you, worried eyes flitting between you and your mother.
“Casita, I need a-“ A wet flannel was thrust into Julietta’s vision, she grabbed it quickly and softly patted your face with it, before laying it across your forehead. Finally, she looked up to see her own mother who was looking concernedly at your door. “Thank you, Mamá.” Abuela opened her mouth to speak when you gently moaned and shifted in the bed, gathering everyone’s attention. “Mi corazón?” Julietta sat down on the edge of your bed, soothingly rubbing circles on the back of your hand.
You could hear voices, but you couldn’t tell where they were coming from. You wanted to open your eyes to see who it was, but you were finding it so hard to open them, as you managed a mere flutter before they closed again. “Uh… Mama?” Luisa turned to Julietta, with wide and searching eyes. “It’s alright, Luisa. Just give Y/N some time.”
You didn’t know how long you stayed like this, but eventually you managed to force your eyes open, wincing at the bright light. “Hey, hey Y/N, shhhhh…” Your mother soothed you, “There we go, it’s alright mi vida, it’s alright.” Softly, she caressed your cheek.
Luisa gently grabbed under your arms, trying to be as gentle as possible as she shifted you up, the bed dipping as she sat down on it, allowing you to use her as a headboard and support. Her arms wrapped around to support you, as your head rested on her shoulder. “Here, mi vida, eat this.” With bleary eyes, you see an arepa being offered to you, and you open your mouth to receive it.
The warm nostalgic flavour seemed to spread across your entire body, instantly comforting you. The fever had gone at least, and your mother’s arepa managed to provide you a little energy boost, but not enough. You watched the concerned faces of your family, and though you tried to smile and pretend you are okay, you were still too tired to hide how who felt. The tears started rolling down your face before you could stop them.
“I’m sorry,” you cried, flinching away from your mother’s hand as she reached out to wipe the tears away. “I’m sorry I'm not strong enough for Encanto.” Julietta and Luisa shared a look, as if both their hearts were equally breaking at hearing you apologise. “No, it’s okay. You’ve done more than enough for us.” Luisa murmured softly, and you calmed down a little as the vibrations of her voice reverberated through her chest and tingled in your back as you leant against her. “Just rest now, mi vida. I’m going to go get you some tea. Stay there.” Your mother said, as she stood up from your bedside, smoothing down your blanket before leaving towards the kitchen.
“Luisa?” You muttered under your breath, turning your head to look up at her. “Yes?” “Can I… Can I hug you?” You asked, watching her expression intently. Luisa’s mouth fell open in shock, you had never wanted to hug her… not since your gift ceremony. She wrapped her arms tightly around you in reply, and you smiled at her before allowing one arm to snake up to rest on her shoulder as you let your head nestle into the crook of her neck. “Thank you.” You whispered, this time staying perfectly still as your sister wiped your tears away.
You felt safe and protected by Luisa’s strong arms around you, and knowing that, you allowed the exhaustion of your gift to take over. You let your eyes close, and allow yourself to just breathe.
Julietta returned soon with a tray of tea, and smiled at the sight she saw. “Mama...” Luisa whispered, eyes wide as she found herself trapped under you, now asleep and finally resting. “Mama... I don’t want to move and wake Y/N, but...” Julietta’s smile tugged at the corner of her lips as she set the tea down by the bedside. “Then don’t move at all, mi vida.” She quietly laughed, as she sat down on the other side of your bed, coming to join the hug and the quiet, precious moment. Gently, she stroked both your own and Luisa’s cheek, and with a tender smile, she whispered. “I am so proud of you both.”

Hello! Thank you for everything you do it’s been a blast reading thru the things in the master list. I was wondering if you had any fics about outsider POVs on the characters of YOI? Like if they go to university and their friends just don’t notice that they’re famous figure skaters, or their neighbours are like huh what’s up with that well dressed couple with the weird pet names and the angry blond teen. Really anything with outsider POVs is fine !! Thank you !!
Hello, nonnie! If you go through the ao3 tag (or search within results) Skygem retirement AU, you'll find lots of fics with a similar premise as your request. Here are the ones I rec, both in the context of retirement AU and ousider POV in general:
"Unfairly Beautiful Japanese Boy" by @diedraechin [T, 4K]
Sofia was sure of a few things in her life, two of those things were:
1) Even though the dog was cute, she was sure the owner was taking advantage of her abuela's kind heart
2) The 'Unfairly Beautiful Japanese Boy' she kept seeing on campus had to be an angel because look at him.
Only one of them was true.
An Introspection of Life and Love by awesomecookies [Not rated, 16K]
Alice really didn't expect to ride a bullet train to some sea side village when she accepted her editor's advice. But she needed space. She needed a place to think. And maybe Hasetsu was just the right place.
and a look that could just hypnotize by @forestealites [G, 4K]
They say that a demon stole away Victor Nikiforov.
Misha, Petro, and Sonya of the Novice group try to figure out the mystery that is Yuuri Katsuki. It goes about as well as you'd expect.
And the answer is... by nessiesaur [G, 2K]
Yuuri Katsuki is adorable, but also one of the most mature people in their class. Yuuri Katsuki is in her study group, which definitely saved her ass on the midterm. Yuuri Katsuki is…wait, who is he!?
Clippings by @radialarch [G, 3K]
Four seasons, four articles — and one future.
five theories about victor "my husband" nikiforov (+ one fact) by @dadvans [Not Rated, 2K]
No one knows the truth about the strange, well-paying man who comes into the bar three times a week and only talks about his husband. But everyone has their theories.
icebreaker by @codenamecesare [G, 6K]
Yuuri's husband is possibly not as oblivious as he seems, because he grins and asks, "Have you never looked up Yuuri?"
"There's a porn actress with the same name who went into politics," says Nate, "so she's most of the results, and some stuff about figure skating."
"Some stuff about figure skating," Victor says ruefully to Yuuri.
Jason's Master Plan (to dating the Cute Asian Guy) by Qwertzu [T, 10K]
Jason Hesling, young ice hockey prodigy, rising star of Detroit Ice Tigers and part-time model, had a smile that made women and men alike weak at their knees. It’s been a while since anyone managed to catch his attention – until he met the Cute Asian Guy at Detroit Ice Castle and decided to become his next boyfriend.
Meanwhile, the actual Ice Tiger™ is having the time of his life watching the pretentious JJ-wannabe trying to charm the pants off the completely oblivious, happily married Katsudon.
katsuki_fc wrote by @tetsurashian [G, 13K]
Just because Yuuri isn't big on social media, doesn't mean his fans aren't.
My fun fact is: by stillmadaboutpetra [G, 6K]
Yuuri fails to mention to his new non-skater friends who he is or who his husband is. Or that he even has a husband.
Queer Club Surprise by DancingInTheSliverGlow / @art-in-the-sunlight [G, 5K]
The door at the front of the class opens. A tall Russian man, probably in his late twenties walks in. He has ash blond hair that’s half in a messy bun and half spilling down his shoulders. He’s wearing a suit vest, dress shirt, dark jeans and a messenger bag. He’s definitely the professor.
Although it is strange, a Russian with a Japanese last name, Katsuki. Eileen mentally shrugs. She’s seen weirder things.
Eileen watches as the Russian looks at the front of the classroom, checks his phone and frowns. He climbs up to the third row and smiles. Eileen distantly notices that his lips are heart shaped. “Hi! Is this, Japanese 101?”
Eileen nods. “Yeah.”
The man smiles again and Eileen blinks. “Great! Mind if I sit next to you?”
Despite asking, the man barely waits for Eileen to nod before he slides behind her chair and sits in the empty one on her right. Huh. Guess he’s a student then.

Happy Birthday @sokkas-first-fangirl
Ever since I read this line in your story:
“They always work hard,” Mariano added. “You know, one time when we were little, I got terribly lost in the jungle and Dolores found me all by herself!”
I wanted to write a little something for it and what better time than your birthday! I hope you'll like it💜
*******######***********######********
"We need to find him! Why would he run away like that?"
"Mama?"
"We will find him, please calm down."
"Oh my poor baby! He's all alone!"
"Mami, I can-"
Pepa distractedly smiles down at her  daughter and pats her head. "Not now, Honey. We need to find the Guzman boy."
"But I can-"
But her mother is already gone, conversing with Abuela and other villagers to arrange for a search party. Dolores puffs her little cheeks out and stomps her foot. Silently. Everything she does is silent since she got her gift a week ago.
Her voice has grown softer too. Maybe a side effect of her gift?
Dolores doesn't know. Dolores doesn't care!
It's so hard being heard ever since she got her gift. If she were older and if she actually knew the meaning of 'irony', that might have amused her.
She is anything but amused.
She can hear the Guzman boy (Marian? Martin? Something like that).
She can hear him in the jungle, crying his stupid eyes out. But no one will listen to her. They are all running around, frantic, and no one pays little, soft spoken Dolores any mind. They don't know the extent of her gift yet, admittedly. As far as they are concerned, she can only hear really well. Even Dolores didn't know she could hear sounds so far away. Her gift is still new and it fluctuates a little. Sometimes the Guzman boy sounds like he is far away, sometimes it sounds like he is right next to her.
The constant sound of his sniffles and sobs irritates Dolores like most things do since her ceremony. She is definitely still struggling to accept her gift. Isabela got pretty flowers and what did Dolores get? Super hearing. How lame. How boring.
How painful.
None of the adults pay her any mind so if she wants the sniffling in her ears to stop, she'll have to take matters into her own hands.
Dolores stomps her foot once more, despite her ire a little scared to venture into the jungle alone. When none of the adults turn towards her she huffs and disappears into the jungle.
She'll just have to do it herself.
Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
She finds him an hour later. The sounds of the jungle have turned her around once or twice, but finally she spots him sitting at the base of a big tree, arms wrapped around his legs and head buried in his knees.
He is a small, thin child, even smaller than Dolores. She thinks they are the same age, but she is not sure. She hasn't spoken a lot with him until now. Which is why it feels so awkward, trying to get his attention.
"Hey." she whispers. Dolores clears her throat so she can try again, louder this time, but his head immediately snaps up. She is a little taken aback since she didn't think she was loud enough to be heard.
His eyes are red and swollen. His cheeks are tearstained. He looks like a mess.
"Dolores?"
Dolores shuffles closer. His voice sparked a memory. "Mariano, right? Your mama and papa are looking for you."
He looks around, worried. "Are they here?"
"No, I came alone." She taps her ear, a gesture that will become second nature to her soon. "I heard you with my gift."
He stares at her ears and scrubs the tears away. For a second he looks embarrassed, but then he smiles at her.
"That is amazing. Gracias!"
Dolores blinks. Her gift? Amazing? And is this how Isa feels like when people thank her for her flowers? If so, no wonder she runs through the Encanto gifting flowers left and right.
Mariano's face suddenly crumbles again. "I was so scared!"
Dolores flounders, stepping from one foot to the other. She has never seen a boy cry like that. So open and vulnerable. The boys she knows all try to act tough and strong. But the sight isn't weird or anything. In fact, she thinks it's alright. She would have been scared too, alone in the jungle. Dolores is a little scared right now, to be completely honest. She hears a lot more than Mariano. Lots of animals breathing and prancing and… and growling. Sticks breaking. Nearby.
"It's okay!" she mutters and hurries to his side. His hand is clammy when she grabs it to pull him to his feet. As soon as he is standing, she pulls him towards the village. "Let's go home."
He follows her meekly. Their footsteps are loud to Dolores' ears, but not loud enough to drown out all the creepy sounds. They are constant and they seem to get louder and louder.
Dolores can't ignore or suppress them and she is getting a little panicky.
"Why did you go into the jungle?" she asks, voice tight. Maybe she can distract herself at least.
Mariano sniffles once more. "I wanna be a poet, but Papa says that's stupid. He says I need to 'man up'."
Dolores hums. Adults are so weird sometimes. "What does that mean?"
"I don't know."
The sounds are getting louder and louder and they now mix with the voices of the adults who are not just screaming for Mariano now, but for Dolores as well. Seems like they finally noticed that she left.
"Do you wanna hear one?"
"What?"
"A poem?"
"Oh. Sure." Dolores mumbles. More noise is not exactly what she wants right now, but her Abuela always tells them that they need to be polite to everyone. They are the Madrigals and they have an image to 'uphold'. Whatever that means. Probably something similar to 'man up'.
Mariano takes a deep breath and Dolores prepares herself for something stupid, a little limerick about a donkey or something, but the second the first verse leaves his mouth, she stops in her tracks and stares back at him out of wide eyes.
Mariano doesn't seem to notice. He's got his eyes closed and a smile on his face. He recites a poem about the wind and the way it moves through the grass. It is very simple and the language a little clunky at certain points. But it is beautiful. It's got heart and soul.
His voice and the words drown out all the other sounds. Dolores hears only him and she is entranced.
When he finishes, Dolores is at peace.
"Did you like it?" he asks shyly.
"Yes!" she blurts out, loud, the loudest she has been since her ceremony. Her heart flutters and there is a shine in her eyes and a breathlessness she can't explain. "Yes I did! Do you have more?"
And they walk home, hand in hand, and Mariano recites all the poems his young mind has come up with until now. There is even a stupid limerick about a donkey, but Dolores doesn't care. Laughs at all the right places, giddy with relief and joy. She can only hear him and the world around her has gotten much smaller and yet it feels bigger somehow. She feels free.
Dolores doesn't fall in love that day. She is only five years old! Love is still that gross thing that adults always talk about.
But it's the start of something. It's the start of admiration and respect. It's the start of her actively searching out Mariano's voice when her gift gets to be too much. It's the start of her sitting at her desk, eyes closed, listening to him come up with new poems.
It's the start of many things.

I am in my yandere phase at 1 am!
Yandere madrigal family!
(Everyone has aged in this so Dolores is in her 30's mirabel and Camilo are 21 Antonio is 15, Luisais is 27-28 Isabella also 30)
I have a oc Bella who has been with the Madrigal family since hers disappeared 😕 😒 so the family took her only for her to know ic their true dark side.
Tumblr media
Killerpixiee is the artist
Bella is sorta like Rapunzel but instead of the family using her their protecting her from people I the village.
Bella Madrigal is the artist and youngest member of the magical family. She has long hair that glows when she sings. She also has eyes that glow along with her hair and Alma was more then happy to take the then 15 year old girl in.
After she passed Mirabel took her place and continued what her abuela started, she never let Bella go by herself as she put it "The world isn't safe mija you must MUST stay here. "
All Bella does is sigh in defeat of her older sister figure and say "Si Mira. "
She smiled as she told the others to watch her. Antonio was the most non yandere of them all and he kept it a secert form his siblings and parents "Tonio have you seem Bella?! Mirabel is going to kill me if I can't find our flor!" Said Isabella as she panicked.
"I think she's in your garden. " He lied she was hiding from them again because she didn't like them constantly following her and asking her questions 🙄
"You are a life saver!" She ran to her garden
"Cost is clear." "Thanks Tonio you didn't have to do that. " "of course I did they shouldn't be hounding you like that. "
The elders are the same when someone hurt their arm she was going to use her hair until Julietta ran with a plate of food "No! No heh no no mija mama got it." She said petting her head giving them food and healed up "I had that one."
"No no Bella I told you that have the healing under control." "But-." Agustin pat her head "Now now bumblebee don't argue with your mother listen to your mama and papa."
"Yes papa." He smiled "Good mija now run along back inside. "
Her other parents who were her tio and tia were no help either. Camilo burned his hand cooking and Pepa stopped her and called in her sister "No mija let your mama fix that."
"But tia Pepa-." "Ah ah no mama and no buts." She said "Felix! " "Papa and no buts listen to your mother. "
Camilo pet her head "Listen my chameleon it's ok you are safe as long as your within these walls." "I can't wait to move out and leave." She said they gasped in shock "Bella! Why would you say such a thing?!" Said Pepa
"Because it's obvious I'm too much for you guys! Maybe Tony was right Maybe I am too old to be babied 😔. " They got silent and their dark scary faces showed especially Pepa
"My little butterfly 🦋 who is Tony and why would he say such things?" Said mirabel "Well he asked how old I was and I said 21 and I told him I still live here and laughed at me saying I don't do anything in this family."
They were pissed "Mi amor why don't you wait here with Camilo while we have a word with him?" Said Pepa as they left Camilo held by her as she was upset by his words "Hey it's ok my butterfly everything will be ok."
Weeks went by and Tony went missing his family were worried but the Madrigal family didn't care they took care of him and made sure he never bothered Bella again.
Camilo took care of her and always watched her "My butterfly we must go home dinner will start soon." "Ok." She went home with Camilo and as she got there she felt annoyed because everyone was going to ask her about her day, who did she talk to, who was around her?
She wished they'd give her space she goes to her room as she was at her window seeing the moon then a knock came to her door it was Camilo "Food's ready." "Camilo I want to go outside tomorrow..alone..by myself. "
He looked at her for a moment then laughed "Oh prima your so funny..you want to go outside by yourself? "
"Yes I do!" She said excited as she went downstairs Camilo told everyone Isabella was shocked her little sister, her baby, her sweet darling rose wanted to leave her! "You want to go outside? By yourself? " She said "Oh why Bella look at you as fragile as flor. Still a sappling just a sprout. "
"Oh Bella you know why we have you in Casita? " Said Pepa "I know-." "That's right sis to keep you safe." Said Luisa as mirabel hugged her "And sounded. " Pepa spun her around then embraced her "Guess we've should have known this day was coming."
"Soon one day you'd want to live our nest." Said Agustin "You will soon but not yet!" Said Bruno "But-." Isabella shused her as she placed a finger on her "Trust us my beautiful pet Familia knows best!"
Pepa: "We know best listen to your mamas it's scary world out there."
Camilo: "familia knows best,Listen to your Familia something will go wrong I swear! "
Isabella: "Roughins, thugs, poison ivy, quick sand! "
Julietta: "Cannibals."
Bella: "What?!"
Antonio: "And snakes!"
Agustin: "The plague!"
Bella: "No!"
Bruno: "Yes!"
Antonio: "Also large bugs!"
Camilo: "Men with pointy swords and teeth! " He said shape shifting into a tall man before Dolores hit him making him turn back.
Pepa: "And stop no more you'll just upset me!" She said thundering ⛈
Dolores: "Your big sisters are here!"
Pepa: "Mami and papa will protect you but here's what I suggest! "
"Skip the drama and stay with your papas and mamas!"
Isabella: "Your Familia knows best!"
Mirabel: "Your Familia knows best take it from your family on your own you won't survive. "
Isabella: "Sloppy. "
Julietta: "Underdressed."
Camilo: "Immature. "
Dolores:"Clumsy." She said tripping her as Luisa catch her
Mirabel: "Please they'll eat you up alive!"
Pepa: "Gullible. "
Felix: "Naive."
Isabella: " positivly Preppy, dizzy and a bit hmm vague. "
"Plus I believe getting kinda chubby. " She said petting her under her chin as she pulled her into a hug
"I'm just saying cause I love you!"
Pepa: "Mama understand. We're are here to help you."
Julietta and Pepa: "All we have is one request. "
Pepa: "Bella."
Bella: "Yes mama?"
Pepa: "Don't ever ask to leave this family. "
Camilo: "or this house again. "
Bella: "Yes mama."
Camilo: "And?"
Bella: "Yes brother. "
Pepa: "Oh we love you very much dear. "
Bella: "I love you guys too."
Mirabel: "We love you most."
Luisa hugged her sister as she put her down
Isabella: "Don't forget it you'll regret it."
Pepa: "Mama knows best!"
Dolores: "Remember we know what's best!" Shd said petting her head .

(SA for the Thrown Out Housebroken)
Alma stumbled a bit but quickly righted herself when she was nearly bowled over by a small body hitting her knees.
"Oops. Sorry senora! I wasn't watching where I was going." A young girls voice said apologetically and Alma looked down. There at her feet was a little girl wearing glasses. A little girl who had her Julietas curls and face and eyes....and had four arms and antennas on her head.
This...this was one of her grandchildren. Her youngest on Julietas side if she recalled.
"That's alright. Why are you running little one?" Alma asked staring at the girl who smiled and giggled.
"Cami and I were playing tag!" The girl said and Alma was half sure that she knew who Cami was. Didn't Pepa have a son named Camilo that was around the same age as this girl? She vaguely remembered the name at least. She thought it was Camilo. Could easily be Cameron or something else...
"I see. And what's your name little one?" Alma asked wondering if she'd get to actually talk to one of her grandchildren for a little bit.
"I'm Mirabel! Mami calls me Mariposita though and Cami calls me Mira! Nice to meet you Senora!" Mirabel said smiling brightly and Alma...she couldn't explain it but...but something in her chest both tightened and loosened. Mirabel...Mariposita. Butterflies. Like the ones she always saw when Pedro appeared...
"It's nice to meet you too Mirabel. My name is Alma. You can call me Abuela if you wish." Alma said and she didn't know why those words slipped out of her mouth but they did.
"Okay Abuela! I gotta go now though! Cami will find and tag me if I don't keep running!" Mirabel said smiling and already looking around for a moment.
"Be careful Mija or you'll run into someone else." Alma said without thinking about it and Mirabel nodded and hugged her around the knees before taking off in a random direction.
Alma needed to go back to the house and sit down for a minute. One of her grandchildren...this was the first time she'd ever gotten to speak to one of her grandchildren or gotten a hug from them.
It was the first time she was called Abuela and
...
And she was ready to bawl like a baby over it.
Please. Mirabel is so oblivious 😭 then again, this could also mean that the triplets nor Pedro never bad mouthed Alma to the kids; so they really only know what’s she’s like from what they’ve seen her do in the village. Regardless, I love redemption arcs <3

Would you ever write another piece exploring Felix's anger? I really liked the story you wrote where he is angrily chopping wood. Maybe Pepa wanting him to express himself more or... I dunno.
I just think it's such an interesting headcanon/story.
I feel like Félix DOES hold a lot of the anger in. Let's explore it? Idk if it'll be smut or not atm, but we WILL get angry Félix, since you guys have been asking about it for a while.
Pepa was a woman to hold onto things. She held onto grudges, memories of the past, and the feeling that something was wrong. Like in her husband. A few days ago, she caught him in a fit of rage as she sent him to chop wood. They had the same raw, angry sex you'd expect from an angry Félix, and she thought that was it. But she was wrong. Félix didn't act out or say anything different, but as he was helping her cook some lunch, she just. Saw something.
Something that was amiss. They hadn't talked about it since then, which was so. Odd. Usually they always talked about their feelings. But whatever it was, Félix just. Clammed up about the topic.
"Félix?"
"Si?"
"I can talk to you about anything, right?"
"Of course! Always and forever. Why, did you kill a man? I can find a spot-"
"No no. I'm saying I can talk to you, so you can talk to me too. You...know that, right?"
Félix paused as he turned off the rice. She noticed it was only a second, and he disguised it, making it look as if it was just the rice that demanded attention, rather than his thoughts. Had he ALWAYS done that?
"Course. What, did I do something? If so, I might have been drunk. You know me after a few shots-"
"I'm talking about the firewood incident."
She shut down his ramble quickly, and she saw just how uncomfortable that made him. He started to grab dishes to pour the food into, putting them on the table.
"Dolores, get your brothers. And what about it, Pepa?"
This was so weird. It just occured to her that he called the kids down here, WHILE talking to her about this issue. Was it a deflection? Was it so she'd be just a bit more careful with her words? Was this in her head? Regardless, he wasn't getting away from her so easily.
"Why are you doing that?"
"Doing what?"
"Deflecting. I thought you'd open up to me about this by now. You always talk to me."
"Pepi, after the kids eat-"
"Three of you, eat upstairs."
Camilo grinned, clearly giddy.
"You NEVER let us eat upstairs! Antonio, let's GO!"
Dolores paused, before inevitably joining her brothers upstairs. Félix sighed.
"Look, it wasn't a big deal. We all have bad days, that was mine-"
"You don't have angry days. Sad, sure, but not once have I seen you that angry. And you were talking to yourself, muttering the same way Bruno does."
"Just. An off day. Really, it's nothing."
Félix tried to start cleaning, but she blocked him from the sink.
"No it's not. If it was nothing, you'd be talking about it. You're dodging."
"I'm not. I just. It's not a big deal, I'm fine. You're getting upset-"
She pushed the pan out of his direction. She wasn't going to let this man just up and do anything to keep him out of this conversation.
"I'm upset because YOU'RE upset and you're not talking about it, Félix. This isn't fair, why is it YOU let me talk to you, but I can't-"
"Because I'm ALWAYS angry, Pepa! So it's no FUCKING different than it is every other day!"
She paused at the volume of his voice. Apparently putting him in a corner was enough to push him. He pushed past her to clean, being rather loud as he started to toss things into the sink.
"I'm angry EVERY day! I'm an angry fucking person! Every day it's different bullshit! If it isn't the villagers acting like privileged brats, if it isn't the bullshit pressure Abuela puts you through,"
The anger came out of him like a faucet. He was loud, he was tossing things around in almost a fit in order to get things cleaned. Even as he lathered up a sponge with soap and water, it was done with anger, him huffing and puffing as he kept ranting.
"It's shit with my family! Oh be nice to Mateo, even though he's got NO fucking filter, I can't fucking talk to my own big brother because fuck having feelings apparently! And the worst fucking part, Pepa, you won't fucking believe this!"
Félix was scrubbing so hard, the damn paint was coming off from the pan.
"It's the fact that I don't tell you that I'm angry EVERY DAY! Because I'm supposed to be calm and collected Félix! And I feel like such a fucking fake to you, I feel like if you ever really knew you'd fucking divorce me, and I'm scared and confused and angry and I just-SON OF A BITCH!!"
He scrubbed so hard on a plate, it broke, cutting his hand. She immediately dove in, grabbing a towel to help deep the cut from being riddled in bubbles and soap. She opened her mouth to speak, but saw tears welling in his eyes.
"I made a promise, on our wedding day, to never lie to you. And I...I feel awful, because I've been lying about how I feel. I love you. And I just. Don't want you to think less of me, Pepa. I'm sorry, you were probably just trying to get me angry so we can have sex. Go upstairs, I'll-"
He stopped as soon as she kissed his cut. She met his eyes, and smiled.
"Félix...you shouldn't have to hide things from me. You want to be mad, be mad! No one is perfect. You can handle my thunder, let me handle yours."
"Pepa, I'm. I'm not as calm as you give me credit for."
"Félix. We're both imperfect. I eat all the chocolate, you don't cut your damn toenails."
"You snore, and I hog the blankets."
"You tell lies, and I don't beat your ass for it."
That got a chuckle out of him. He put his other hand over hers, and sighed.
"Pepa I...I genuinely didn't know how you'd react to me actually being angry."
"I'm a grown woman. I can handle three kids, I can handle you. By the end of every day, tell me how you felt, okay? I love you. I want to love YOU. And if you is angry, you're angry."
She stood there, watching this man absolutely melt on the spot for her. He took her hand, and placed it over his heart.
"You're my EVERYTHING, Pepa. I'm so lucky to have you."
"I'm luckier."
"And I'm the luckiest."
She kissed his forehead, before gesturing upstairs.
"Let's get you upstairs. You want to take a nap?"
"Only if you join me. And you know What'd make it extra sexy?"
"Hmm?~"
"If you do that thing I like. You know what I mean."
She did. She chuckled at him, before grabbing his head firmly, and with one sharp movement, made it crack loudly for him. They were both old at this point in their lives, so cracking each other's necks was as sexy as a lapdance. She had to hold onto him to keep him from falling, grinning down at him.
"Happy?"
"Very. You're SO talented ~"
"Uh huh. Off to bed, come on."
"You're so pretty too~"
Pepa rolled her eyes at him, ushering him up the stairs. Pepa knew she had so much more to learn about Félix. But she was more than happy to know that some parts of him stayed exactly how she remembered.

The Madrigal sisters (an inspired Hocus Pocus Encanto fic)
Synopsis: Luisa, Mirabel, Camilo and Antonio décided to reunited in a shed to tell scary stories. Mirabel decided to talk about The Madrigal sister's.
In a village in Salem lived three siblings, called the Madrigal sisters. There was Pepa, considered as the most attractive, Julieta, the leader, and Bruno, the man. Because of these siblings' nickname, most people actually don't know the third one is male. The few who know, Pepa & Julieta always make sure they won't remember. No one had a chance to ask for the reason before they were caught up and burned, centuries ago. One says they had time to throw a spell though, that ensured they'd one day be able to come back.
"O~h! Spooky!" joked Camilo, interrupting Mirabel, who was reading the Madrigal sisters' story.
"Camilo! You're spoiling the mood!" she scowled.
“What? You’d prefer an audience that isn’t reacting at all?”
“I’d prefer an audience that isn’t laughing.”
“Come on Mirabel! It wasn’t scary!”
“Me, I was scared,” intervened Antonio with shyness, going deeper into Luisa’s arms.
“Besides for childr-”
“I was a bit scared too,” admitted Luisa, nervous.
“Well, I wasn’t!” claimed Camilo, offended. “Witches don't exist anyway, they were only women who were burned for any reason people could find. And that story added a man to attract boys. It's ridiculous and incoherent! Why would they be called “sisters” if there is a brother in it?”
In the same tone, Mirabel explained “I said it! They made sure no one knew Bruno was a male.”
“How do we know then?”
“Because when they were caught and burned, people found out.”
“Why would they even hide that? Wouldn’t it be faster to hide that the two sisters were females?”
“Told you we never had a chance to learn their reason.”
“Calm down, you too!” intervened Luisa, who tightened her grip on Antonio in a protective behavior. “It’s not the time to argue.”
The four of them were forming a circle in an abandoned shed, in a forest near the town. They decided to reunite there on Halloween day, far from their surprotective Abuela, to tell scary stories about the town’s legend. Mirabel chose to talk about the Madrigal sisters. Camilo asked her “Why did you even choose that?”
“Because it’s linked to our family.”
“What do you mean, Mirabel?” wondered Antonio with cute round eyes.
“Our ancestor Alma Madrigal is said to be the mother of the Madrigal sisters.”
“Who says that?” asked Camilo with a raised eyebrow in suspicion.
“Our Abuela Rosa.”
“Well...She has the same last name as the witches,” added Luisa. “I guess it’s a pretty obvious guess then.”
“Madrigal is a common name in Colombia, it’s not that surprising.”
“She still said it,” insisted Mirabel.
Looking to change the topic, Luisa asked, “What is that spell they threw?”
Smiling, Mirabel resumed her story. “For them to come back a virgin must light...” She pulled out a black candle from her bag, as she kept talking, “...this candle on Halloween night.”
“How come you have it with you?”
“Abuela Rosa had it in her wardrobe and, when I chose this story, I thought it would add something.”
“Abuela Rosa again?” replied Camilo, surprised. Then, with a mischievous smile. “What if it’s the actual candle to light on Halloween?”
“I thought you didn’t believe in it,” remarked Mirabel.
“So we can light it, right?”
“We don’t have fire.”
“I have!” repllied Camilo as he went out a box of lightmatches.
“...How come you have that?”
“I thought it could be useful,” he shrugged.
Luisa worried, “Be careful not to put the shred on fire.”
“The shred won’t catch fire,” he assured her. Then, grinning at Mirabel, he held her the lightmatches to her, suggesting “Let’s light it!”
She scowled. “No, we won’t light it.”
“Scared it could be the actual candle and you could awaken the sisters?”
“No...But if we light it, Abuela Rosa will see it. And it won’t work, I’m not a virgin.”
He opened wide-eyes in shock as he asked her “You aren’t? Who did you do it with?”
“Doesn’t concern you.”
“Mirabel, you’re like my sister. If someone touched you, I must be sure it’s a good person.”
“We aren’t together anymore anyway. So let’s switch to another story.”
“Someone must light that candle though. At least to be sure it’s not the right one.”
“We won’t light it, Camilo.”
While they kept arguing, Luisa sighed in annoyance, then took the box from Mirabel’s hands, announcing “I’ll do it.”
“Luisa! Don’t!”
“Luisa...You’re a virgin?”
“Yeah...” she replied as she blushed with embarrassment, taking a match out from the box. Then, she struck it and used it to light the candle, assuring them “I’ll take the blame, she won’t go too hard on me.”
“At 22 years old, it’s harsh,” joked Camilo.
Offended, Mirabel scowled, “I forbid you to shame my sister on it!”
“It’s a joke! It’s innocent!”
She was about to answer something, when their argument got interrupted by laughings, that seemed like they came from the candle. As everyone turned to it, frozen, three trails of smoke came out from the flames, which flew toward the backside of the shred. Then, they changed into three middle aged human figures, two women and a man, dressed in curious outfits.
One of the women had gingered hair, green eyes, and was wearing a long pink dress with a low-cut neckline, and purple sides in the low part. The second one had brown eyes, black hair striped of grey, and was wearing a green dress which middle was cut in two but a purple line. On it, she had a kind of green coat with a collar raised to her chin. Her hair was stylised in a bun, while the first woman’s were free. The man’s were tied in a ponytail. He was wearing an orange and brown top with grey pants, and a purple apron. His hair was black and his eyes hazel.
As soon as they appeared, the ginger one exclaimed, visibly relieved, “At last! We have awoken!”
“Seems like someone finally lit that candle again,” appreciated the green-wearing one with a nod.
Then, noticing the man, the gingered cooed as she approached to pinch his cheeks, “Oh! Julieta! Look who is finally here! Seems like it was a success this time!”
“Indeed,” nodded Julieta again, before approaching the two young adults and the only kid, asking “Which one of you lit our candle? I guess it’s not the child, this time.”
“This time?” repeated Camilo, mouth agape. “Do you mean you were actually...”
“Oh! Yes, we have already been awoken...” Turning to her siblings, she completed, “When was it again?”
Glancing at a calendar conveniently put there, the one who they guessed was Pepa answered “I think it was 25 years ago. Then, we lived 7 years before having to sleep again since we couldn’t find a way to wake up Bruno.” Then, to her brother, she cooed again “We couldn’t bear living without you, love.”
Managing to escape his sister’s grip, he remarked, “I didn’t know you had been woken up before.” Then, with a smile, “Did you have fun?”
“A lot of fun! We-” She opened wide her eyes, suddenly remembering something. “Oh! We should go find our children! It was only 25 years ago, they should still be alive.” She grinned as she wondered, “And maybe Félix could find a way to use what I gave him to conceive a third child, like Julieta.”
“Because they each have children,” shrilled Camilo.
Luisa remarked in a low tone, “I thought it was weird those stories about children missing and never being found again that suddenly started 25 years ago to stop as suddenly.”
Mirabel tried, “So...You mean you are the Madrigal sisters?”
“Yes we are”, confirmed Julieta with pride. “The three amazing witches, the Madrigal sisters, at your service!” Then, squinting her eyes to her, she remarked, “You remind me of something though.”
Pepa laughed, “Oh! Doesn’t this one look just like you, Julieta?”
“Child! What is your name?”
With a shiver, Mirabel replied, “Mirabel...Mirabel Rojas...”
“Isn’t it the surname of your lover, Julieta?”
“Yes it is,” she confirmed before taking Mirabel’s cheeks in her hands, forcing her to stand up, to observe her in fascination. “I guess you’re my child.”
Approaching Camilo with joy, Pepa remarked “And this one looks like Félix, I guess it’s our son Camilo.”
Before she could touch him, Camilo ran to hide behind Luisa, shivering, who stood in a protective way, stepping up so she could have her family behind her. “You say you’re our moms?”
“And you’re...”
“Luisa.”
“You’re Luisa???” gasped Pepa, running to her sister, cooing. “You grew up so much! When we left you were only 4!”
Then, sniffing as he approached them too, Bruno confirmed “All of them smell weird...They’re not any children. Probably not very yummy.” His stomach growled, making him whine “I’m hungry.”
Pepa cooed at him again, “Don’t worry our dear Brunito! We’ll soon go hunt some tasty children for you,” before she asked Julieta “What are we going to do with our kids?”
“I’m not sure...” Then, to them “What do you think? Do you want to hunt some children with us?”
They kept silent for a while, before Mirabel dared to explain “We actually don’t eat children.”
“You don’t? What a shame! They’re so good for young witches!”
“But we aren’t witches,” trembled Antonio.
“And Antonio and I are boys,” remarked Camilo. “Aren’t witches supposed to be...Like...Girls...”
“I’m a man and I’m a witch,” replied Bruno. “It’s not a reason.”
“We don’t have any power either,” he argued.
“How old are you all?” asked Julieta.
“Camilo and I are 19,” replied Mirabel.
“I’m 23,” said Luisa.
With his head lowered shyly, clearly not at ease and clutching Mirabel’s clothes, Antonio answered “9 years old.”
Mirabel thought he probably knew he was the most likely to be eaten, and hoped to be protected. She stood ready to oblige, about to use her fighting skills from her boxing class, when the three witches laughed loudly, seemingly amused. Then, Julieta explained as she wiped the tears appearing in her eyes “Of course you don’t have any power then! You’re too young! They appear at 25.”
Doubting it, Mirabel still took out her phone to text her sister Isabela if she possessed any power.”
Her sister answered, “Is our mother awake?”
While she explained to her by text, trying to pin the blame on Camilo, Bruno sniffed their surroundings, before he stopped suddenly to start to drool. “There are children nearby! I can smell them!” Then, he turned to his sisters with pleading eyes. “They seem good! And I’m hungry.”
Rolling her eyeballs, Pepa agreed, “OK we’ll go hunt them. If Julieta agrees.”
“Of course I agree! We don’t want Bruno to starve!”
“You can’t!” tried Mirabel to stop them. “They’re...Not good...”
“Nonsense! They smell good so they probably are!”
Then, taking a broom each, they were about to go out of the shed, and probably fly on it, whilst Antonio hurried to the candle. As soon as he blew on it, the three witches disappeared in smoke with a shriek. Shocked, Camilo asked him “How did you know it would make them disappear?”
He shrugged. “They appeared when we lit it. I guessed blowing on it would make them disappear.”
Checking the book about the sisters she took with her, Mirabel confirmed “That’s...Right! To make them disappear we have to blow out the candle before Halloween is finished. If we do it too late, they’ll stay forever.”
They stood frozen, confused. Then, Luisa suggested “We should talk to Abuela Rosa.”
“I guess so.”
They took their belongings, then went out of the shed to return home.

Thoughts on Caesar Salazar?
Tumblr media
Hello, anon! Oh, that's really easy and a hard question in the same time. So let me see. It was really interesting and awesome to find out more about Rex's parents and his sibling. Don't wanna to hurt anyone's feelings but me and my friend @varioda talking about Caesar before and we're somehow thought that he doesn't care about his brother and care more for his scientific work but I'll going to look back and giving him a chance. When Caesar break into Providence in his futuristic armor or something like that, he thought his brother in danger and protecting him though it wasn't necessary at the moment. Rex believed him and go with him. Then brothers have a talk inside his scientific pod. In episode "Haunted" Rex coming to Caesar for advice to help his friend Noah to get attention of Claire, both of the brothers chatting. They're came up to make a haunted house to scare girls. What a fools. XD In episode "Written in Sand" Van Kleiss said that Caesar is responsible for Nanite Event. It's really suspicious. There's what Caesar said to Rex at the end of the episode when his brother makes a crack joke on Zag RS's voice. "Don't you recognize it? When I programmed her, I wanted a voice that meant safety, protection, caring. Rex, this our mother's voice." "Mama?" Rex said before walking away. My feels. "Night Falls" is my favorite episode. Rex and Caesar travel to a village in Mexico--- home country of their late mother Violetta to see their Abuela though they're not related by blood and by heart cause they're spending a lot of time there at summer as kids, right? It's really heartwarming episode cause I can relate loving my grandmother and spending time at the countryside. I miss my grandma so much. I wish everything was different back than. Also in this episode both of the brothers working together which is wholesome and funny at times. Later on somewhere between season two finale and beginning of season three Rex is teleported six months into the future, where he discovers to his shock a radically changed Providence; Six and Holiday have left, and White Knight allegedly died after attempting a "hostile takeover". Caesar takes a confused Rex to White Knight's former office, where he is introduced to Providence's new leader, a mysterious woman who calls herself Black Knight who is very glad to have him back. At this momrnt brothers get apart and I don't want to discuss how it's hurts and confusing me. Excuse me for being short or that I can't describe every episode and every of my thoughts of him. Maybe I need to rewatch this series. The ending of season three is heartbreaking. But at the end Rex realized the truth about Nanite Event and said to Caesar that they're always will be brothers and both share a heartwarming hug. I'm so glad they're family again. I'm actually love Salazar brothers. I'd say I have mixed feelings about Caesar. My finale thoughts -- Caesar Salazar is important and interesting character, not like I have a crush on him or hate him. He's caring and loves his family but sometimes when he's focused only on his job, it's gets twisted. I actually love drama and brotherly conflicts but the most I love the happy ending because it's a lot of bad endings in media and in life, I can give you my life as a example, ooh, wait, it's not a part of the ask. Thank you for asking me, I hope I didn't sucked this one. Hit me with questions or anything again if you want to.

Burn of the jungle hearts AU: what happens to the family back in the encanto? If any of them ran away/after Bruno, would their own innate magic be released? Would they find Bruno's village? What's the village layout like? How many people live there? Are they agrarian or hunter/gatherer? I think you mentioned Bruno adopting/having kids at some point, what are they like? Is this too many questions at once? *silently hopes for some Isabela content b/c she is my favorite*
His sisters and mother were devasted, Alma felt terrible for not listening to him and searched for him all day along with Julieta and Pepa. His sisters felt terrible for not intervening and want to Apologize to him but couldn't. The sisters were suffering in their own heads too much to confront Alma.
A few weeks pass and they are meant with the horrible truth that Bruno left the Encanto entirely.
2. More or less, If they felt the same way he did then their magic would be the same as his but their gifts would still be intact for safety reasons.
3. If they did leave after he left they would find his village but not for like weeks at a time.
4. The villagers(and Bruno) live in some ancient temples that are on top and underground. Bruno's magic lantern somehow rebuilt the temples. the villagers have been traveling for days so they basically said "screw it" and lived in the temples.
the underground is kind of like this
Tumblr media
and the top is like this but add a little bit more Jungle around it(Bruno lives in the biggest temple since he's the matriarch)
Tumblr media
5. About 300-400(in counting) villagers, some people come across this place and decide to live there as well. But it takes a long time before you are trusted.
6. They are advanced like Bruno but lots of people have come in and tried to rule the place and they slowly over time they became territorial and feisty(would you blame them? raiders have come into their village more than once trying to take the place).
Since they live in nature they try to respect it as much as they can and when they hear poachers invading places they shouldn't be they go into hunter mode. I'll talk about that more in another post
Also, you don't have to stay in the village if you want to leave you can leave just don't tell anybody about the place. the village is also home to a lot of other magic wielders and some of them have taught magic on how to hide the animalistic traits.
7. Yes Bruno does have kids, he has three.
Illiana - Is a very smart 21 yr old girl and answers to nobody. She takes care of the crops and foliage life with some other villagers who do the same. She likes making weapons and Explosives for getting rid of poachers and just in general.
She likes combat and is the only one that likes training with her Abuela. She's planning on moving somewhere across the sea to be in the military(let's pretend girls can be in the military back then).
2. Max - is a quiet but very adventurous 15yr old boy. He likes drawing in his journal and writing books. He keeps to himself mostly but helps with farming and gathering fruits and such. He hopes that he can become a writer like his dad someday and that his books will sell by the millions.
3. Angelica - Is a sweet and hopeful 5 yr old girl. She likes architecture and likes drawing buildings and temples that she hopes her father could build someday. When she's not doing that she's helping her brother with fruit picking or party planning. She's very talkative and loves hanging out in high trees so she can swing across them.
-
Bruno also has adopted 4 other families.
The Garcia family - Sofia(35) and Valeria(33) Garcia and their four kids Alexander(7), Valentina(14), Jesus(1), and Manuel(2).
2. Abuela Camila(71) and her two twin grandsons Jorge(6) and Juancho(6).
3. Sebastian(35) and Estrella(36) Hernandez and their 2 kids Sebastian Jr (12) and Elena(16)
4. Turquoise Gomez(55) and her daughter luna(15)
I'll do a post that addresses each of the family's Info and roles in the village.
Their names and Family sizes might change in the future who knows? If you have any other questions my asks are open. And yes there will be some Isabela content don't worry!

To Belong
Tumblr media
She was the weird foreign girl, he was the most useless Viking in the history of Berk. Together they were just Leandra and Hiccup. Two best friends who searched for their place in the world. Would their search for it unite or separate them?
Tumblr media
Chapter 5
“Well, we would have thought that the final test to decide who gets to kill the Monstrous Nightmare is between the Hofferson lass and Stoick’s boy.”, musses Sigrùn. “Aren’t you proud of your best friend, Leandra?”
The black-haired girl is with her thoughts else were. She is thinking about Starchaser, Toothless, and worrying about Hiccup.
Like her stepmother said today would decide who would kill the Monstrous Nightmare and since Hiccup and Astrid have been the best recruits it would be decided between them. Since this was Gothi duty, to choose the winner, she gave Leandra today free so she could watch with her parents the final test.
She did so not have a good feeling about this.
She hopes with all her heart that Astrid wins so Hiccup doesn’t have to find a way to not kill the Nightmare and at the same time, she doesn’t want that Astrid wins, because she would kill the Nightmare without hesitation.
Hiccup and her learnend what wonderful creatures the dragons actually were and non of them deserved to be killed just for sports.
What should they do?
What could they do?
After her father calls her name for the fifth time, she hears him.
The black-haired girl turns blinking to her parents.
Sigrùn holds with a hand her father’s arm, while Leandra walks beside them to the Kill Ring.
“What papi?”
“Sigrùn asked you if you are proud of Hiccup.”
The familiar anger comes up.
“I was always proud of him.”, she nearly growls. “Even before he became a prodigy in Dragon Training. Not my fault no one of you could see or wanted to see it.”
Sigrùn gasps and her father says her name in warning.
“Don’t make a scene young lady! You know how things are on Berk, accept it.”
“I really thought being Gothi’s apprentice would help her.”, mumbles Sigrùn to her father. “But she still seems to think in your old Spanish way.”
“She is a teenager, dear, she just wants to rebel.”
Leandra bits her tongue and can taste the cobber of the blood flowing in her mouth.
Oh she wishes she could make a scene, her father and stepmother deserve some cold hard facts, but they are now on the Kill Ring and she also doesn’t want to stress out Sigrùn, she is still pregnant.
You don’t mess with a pregnant lady.
The little family of three finds a good spot to watch the final test, while Leandra prays under her breath.
She still doesn’t know for what exactly, just the best way that no one, human or dragon gets hurt.
Her prayers kinda get answers.
Astrid was ready to kill the Gronkel to prove that she can kill the Nightmare, but Hiccup used before her his scratching technique to calm down the Gronkel.
That Astrid is not amused is an understatement.
Leandra wrinkles her nose at the insults Astrid screams at Hiccup. How can he crush on someone who clearly doesn’t think positively in any way of him?
Is he a masochist or what?
But this all gets forgotten when Gothi decides that Hiccup gets to kill the Monstrous Nightmare.
The Spanish girl feels like she is underwater.
She hears the cheers of the crowd muffled.
She sees how Hiccup gets hoisted up in the air misty.
Oh no…
Oh no…
Oh no, no, no, no!
This bad, this is so bad!
Without a word, she runs to Hiccup and embraces him tight before the whole village.
Should they think whatever they wanted, they needed to find a solution and fast.
“Hic.”, she hisses in his ear. “What are we going do to? What about Starchaser and Toothless?”
He hugs her back and whispers: “I’m…I’m leaving, that’s the only way! I can’t kill the dragon.”
“I will come with you.”, she doesn’t hesitate, if he is gone nothing holds her more on Berk. “We can go to my Abuela, she will give us shelter.”
She doesn’t wait for his response and runs to her home with all her might.
She needs to pack fast.
Tumblr media
Leandra enters the secret cove with her fully packed basket. She got in and out of the house without her parents seeing her.
This was good.
“Hic, you here?”, she calls out.
She sees a hand behind a rock waving her over.
“I’m here, Lee.”
When she reaches him, she sees the annoying look on his face. He also has a fully packed basket and his harness on.
“You don’t have to come with me.”, he tells her. “I’m the one who has to leave. You should stay here with your family. You are going to be a big sister in a few weeks.”
She snorts.
“Hiccup, I don’t know if you noted it, but no one cares for me on this miserable rock. Father and Sigrùn are going to have their perfect little Viking family and the village doesn’t take note of me. You are the only one who cares for me. Without you here…I will die inside, I swear.”
His eyes are wide, with disbelief, like he can’t comprehend that he is so important to her.
That’s why she hugs him tight and tries to pour any once of love she has for this boy into it.
“Hic, you are my best and dearest friend, without you on my side, I would feel I lost an arm or a leg.”, she whispers to him. “Also I don’t think Starchaser would like to be separated from Toothless and Toothless neither from her.”
Here she feels how he lets out a little laugh. She can feel how he wants to hug her back, but a voice stops them both in their tracks: “Aren’t you two just cute?”
They spring apart and see…
“Astrid?!”
The girl in question is sitting on the rock right in front of them, sharpening her axe.
“Aggh! What the—“
“What are you doing here, Hofferson?!”, growls Leandra angrily.
Miss perfect Viking girl doesn’t belong in their cove!
...
Where there Night Furries are!
Oh no!
She needs to leave before she sees them!
Astrid hops off the rock and backs them down, spinning her axe threateningly.
“I’m just here to ask your boyfriend some questions, Alvarez.”
“I’m not her boyfriend/He is not my boyfriend.”
“Whatever.”, the blond rolls her eyes. “I want to know what's going on. No one just gets as good as you do. Especially you. Start talking! Are you training with someone? With Alvarez?”
“Hofferson, why don’t you just accept that someone is better than you? Or do you think you are some kind of Valkyrie who can’t be bested? Grow up!”, shoots Leandra back.
“Lee!”
“Don’t Lee-me, Hic!”
“Your lover quarrel is getting annoying.”, tells them Astrid and grabs Hiccup by his odd-looking harness. “And what the heck is this?”
“I know this looks really bad, but you see...this is, uh...”, tries Hiccup to find the words.
They hear a rustle coming from the other side of the cove. Astrid drops Hiccup to the ground and sets off to investigate.
Leandra steps before Astrid to stop her in her tracks.
“What’s wrong Hofferson, can’t accept the truth?”
Astrid just pushes her to the ground like she weighs nothing. Leandra hisses at the stones that trill itself in her back.
“Out of my way, Alvarez.”
“You're right! You're right.”, now Hiccup tries his luck to stop the blond Viking girl. “I'm through with the lies. I've been making... outfits. So you got me. It's time everyone knew. Drag me back. Go ahead. Here we go.”
He puts her hand back on his harness, getting her to 'drag him back.' Astrid bends Hiccup’s hand backward, driving him down, beside Leandra.
“AAAAUUGGGHHH! Why would you do that?!”
“That's for the lies.”
Astrid pounces the hilt of her axe off of Hiccup's and Leandra’s laid-out bodies.
“And THAT'S for everything else.”
Hiccup's yelp and Leandra’s cry are answered with two growls, coming from the other side of the cove. Astrid looks up to see two Night Furries!
Toothless and Starchaser pounces toward them, snarling.
Hiccup and Leandra can stand up, only to get tackled back into the ground by Astrid.
“Get down! Run! Run!”, she commands them.
The Viking girl pulls her axe, ready to take on Toothless and Starchaser.
“NO!”, scream Hiccup and Leandra together.
While Leandra runs up to the Night Furries, to calm them down, Hiccup knocks Astrid's cocked axe to the ground, out of reach, then he helps Leandra to stop Toothless and Starchaser short of crushing Astrid.
“No. It's okay! It's okay...”, reassure Hiccup Toothless.
“Anything is all right. See I don’t have a scratch.”, tells Leandra Starchaser.
“She's a friend.”, say’s Hiccup to both Night Furries.
Leandra can’t help herself and snorts with the dragons.
“Yeah, right..”
“Lee…”
The boy turns to Astrid and explains: “You scared them.”
“I scared them!?”
Hiccup makes a “be quiet” motion.
“Who are they?”
“Astrid, Toothless, and Starchaser. Toothless and Starchaser, Astrid.”
“They are so not charmed to meet you!”, adds Leandra dry and pets her growling dragon.
Astrid backs away, eyeing Hiccup, Leandra, Toothless, and Starchaser together with pure disgust. She turns and runs for the village.
“We're dead.”, deadpans Hiccup.
Satisfied with Astrid's departure, Toothless and Starchaser turn away. Leandra flicks her long black hair and turns to their baskets.
“Where do you think you're going?”, asked Hiccup the Night Furries and then turns to Leandra who picked up her basket. “And what are you doing?”
“If I remember right, we wanted to leave stupid Berk. Just getting my stuff.”
“Lee, you can’t be serious. Astrid is going to tell everybody about Toothless and Starchaser!”
“And? It’s not like we stay here. Let her blab about it all she wants. No one is seeing us again.”
From Hiccup comes only silence.
Frowning Leandra turns to her best friend and sees the fight in him.
“Hic, Hiccup, please no! Let us just go! What has Berk ever done to us besides making us feel miserable? We will be much happier in Spain with my Abuela or we can even see the whole world! Think about it, we will be free finally!”
The boy looks at the ground and makes a fist. He needs to make a decision now.
Tumblr media
“I can’t believe he wants to change Astrid mind!”, shouts Leandra to Starchaser.
Both females stayed behind, while Hiccup would try his crazy plan.
Leandra doesn’t get it.
They were so close to true freedom.
To find a place where they both and their dragons could be accepted.
But no, Hiccup’s stupid crush got in the way and makes him actually think he can change the mind of Miss perfect Viking-Girl!
Frustrated Leandra kicks a stone into the pool and then cuddles up to Starchaser.
Her dragon coos and nuzzles her softly, trying to ease the pain in her heart.
The black-haired girl sniffles, tears streaming down her face.
How could she ever think that Hiccup would choose her over Astrid?
No one would choose her over Astrid.
Not here on Berk.
But…but she had hoped her best friend would be different. That if it really would be one day her or Astrid, he would choose their bond.
Their bond of outcastes, of people who understood each other, who shared anything with each other, who accepted the other with all their being.
Hah, figures, he wouldn’t think with his heart but with something else.
“Stupid Astrid, stupid Berk, stupid Hiccup!”, she cries into Starchaser’s shoulder.
Her Night Furry crooned at her, hugging her with one of her wings. How the dragon wished she could take the pain away from her human heart. Sadly she couldn’t, she could only hold her, and be there for her.
The sun had already sunk, when Toothless and Hiccup with Astrid returned to the cove.
Leandra feels kind of void after she cried so much. All seems so senseless, yet she registers that Hiccup did somehow convince Astrid not to blab about Starchaser and Toothless if she rides with him Toothless.
Seeing them so close together makes the black-haired girl feel so sick. She never experienced this before. What’s up with that?
It’s like they talked about it, Leandra and Starchaser stay cuddled up and watch what is going to happen before them.
Toothless lands in the cove and they can finally hear what Astrid is talking about: “No, no, it totally makes sense. It's like a giant beehive. They're the workers... and that's their queen. It controls them.”
She leaps off of Toothless and runs toward the village.
The Viking girl wants to go straight to Stoick, but Hiccup halts her. Saying they have to think this through because Toothless and Starchaser could get killed. Astrid is just shocked telling him they found the Nest, the Dragon Nest, what the Viking searched for since for sailed there and he wants to be still about it because of his pet dragon.
Hiccup’s firm yes amazes Astrid.
She gives in and asks him what they should do, Hiccup wants time till tomorrow.
Then Astrid punches Hiccup in the arm.
“That's for kidnapping me.”
Hiccup looks to Toothless for support. Toothless, who is drinking some water from the pool, snorts, dismissive.
Astrid grabs him. He braces for another hit.
She kisses Hiccup on the cheek.
It likes in slow motion for Leandra. She sits up from her cuddle position with Starchaser. A lonely tear falls down her cheek, her heart feels like someone pierced it with a rusty iron pole.
Why is she feeling like this?
“That's for, everything else.”
In the awkward wake of the moment, Astrid hurries off leaving Hiccup rubbing his cheek, stunned. Toothless hobbles up, eyeing him.
“What are you looking at?”, Hiccup grumbles to his dragon and turns away.
That’s when he sees Starchaser and Leandra.
Starchaser…she is actually looking at him like she wants to bite his head off. Her eyes are slits and she is showing him his teeth.
Leandra…are eyes are red and puffy. Tear streaks are clearly on her cheeks. His best friend seems defeated.
A bad feeling creeps up on the Viking boy. What happened to make his friend and her dragon look like this?
He wants to ask, yet Leandra is faster.
She walks over to him, now her red teary eyes are full of anger, her trusted Night Furry behind her, giving her silhouette wings like she is some kind of avenging angel.
Beautiful and deathly.
Toothless croons confused at his mate and Starchaser barks at him! Hiccup is shocked, normal the two Night Furries are a heart and a soul, they never seemed to fight, yet Starchaser barked at Toothless.
The male dragon croons confused back and looks between the two humans. Starchaser nods and then growls at Hiccup.
The boy is reminded of the day he and Leandra set Toothless free, only Starchaser looks like she is ready to plasma blast him.
But why?
He can’t think more, since Leandra stands now before him: “Well, well, look who is back? Romeo here seemed to have changed the mind of Viking-Juliette and even got a kiss. You must feel so great right now!”
“Lee what-“
“I wonder what you did.”, musses Leandra crossing her arms and cocking a hip out. “One magical dragon ride and suddenly she likes you! Wow, Hiccup, how great! And here I thought she thought you were a cheater, for taking her glory in dragon training and a Son of Halftroll rat eating something and other things the likes she yelled at you at the Kill Ring today. But I guess she must have liked you always because no one changes their mind that fast just because you flew with them on a dragon!”
“Lee why are you saying these things?!”, wonders Hiccup.
Leandra never was like this to him!
He sees how new tears spring in her eyes and the urge to hug her and to ask her what is really wrong is so strong.
“Oh just thinking at loud Hiccup. I’m so happy for you! You will have your perfect Viking bride and have with her two wonderful children, a girl, and a boy.”, she snaps her fingers. “I think Zephyr and Nuffink have a nice ring!”
“Leandra, stop!”, he shouts at her and grips her by her arms. “What’s up with you? This isn’t you! Why do you care so much that Astrid k-kissed me? You know I like her. You should be happy for me!”
“You choose HER over ME!”, she screams loud, no she wails it with tears that flow down her cheeks.
Hiccup is speechless and the grip on Leandra’s arms lose. She steps back from him to Starchaser, who is purring in comfort.
She hugs the neck of her dragon and repeats it: “You choose Astrid over me. Me, your best friend in the world. Me, who was always by your side. Me, who always liked you the way you were. Me, who didn’t need to change her mind about you, because there is nothing about you that’s wrong.”
The brunette stares at his best friend with wide eyes. Is he hearing right?
“I thought you were different from them.”, she hisses. “That you would choose me over them as I would, but you didn’t. You ARE a Viking. I always saw you, but you didn’t see me.”
For a moment it was completely still between them. In Hiccup brain and heart is chaos, and he doesn’t know how to handle the situation.
“Lee I-“
“Save your words, they mean nothing anymore. You took your choice, I will take me.”
With that, she swings herself on Starchaser’s back. The dragon seems to coo apologetically to her mate, who coos back at her.
Then the girls are off into the sky, flying towards the full moon.
Hiccup and Toothless just look helpless as they fly away.
Well, Toothless nudges Hiccup in a way that says let’s go get them, yet Hiccup can’t move.
His hands turn into fists.
A single tear falls down his cheek.
Did…did he make the wrong choice?
No…no Astrid saw reason, he doesn’t get where this hatred for his crush comes from Leandra, she never had liked her, yes, but this was new.
“They will be back Toothless.”, he says to his dragon friend, petting his snout. “Let’s give them time to cool down.”
With a last pat, Hiccup makes his way home.
Never seeing how Toothless looks in the direction of the two baskets.
One is missing.
The dragon looks sad up into the sky, but he can’t blame his mate.
Leandra was like her hatchling.
They had tried having babies, but it just never worked out.
So no wonder Starchaser was so affectionate with Leandra.
And would follow her where ever she would go.
Toothless croons sad and defeated.
He wonders if he will see Starchaser and Leandra ever again.
Tumblr media
I’m not crying you are crying T.T
This hurt to write, but it needed to be written.
For all of you, who like me, always thought Hiccup should just leave Berk with Toothless, I made a brand new fanfiction with it.
Of course, Leandra and Starchaser are with them.
It’s called: Together, we map the world.
Our quartet will journey the world, meet new people, see new places, find new dragons and fight against new bad guys.
It will also crossover with different franchisees, so be prepared.
It’s going to be a wild ride. :D

The town
Sometimes I go into town and forget the world has ended.
It's the same as it's always been. Or so i'm told. The only difference is that there's no tourists to cater to anymore. The souvenir shops that once sold scorpion necklaces and t-shirts with quips about loving Mexico are now trading centers for goat meat, cheese, bread, milk, and the like. (To be honest, the old t-shirts are still there. You just have to ask. I have a pink one, with a phrase that translates to: "Someone I love very much brought me this shirt from Durango, Mex." I love it). But other than those refurbishments, life goes on as normal.
There are markets housing dozens of stalls with textiles hanging high in the air from clothing lines. They form a canopy that haphazardly shields from the desert sun during the day and lets green moonlight filter through at night. There are parts of the market hidden in back alleys that travelers never think to wander over to. White silk lingerie guards the entrance and all curiosity gets discarded in hopes of finding fuel or rabbits' meat. In the light of the lanterns, i've found turquoise leather boots, onyx mirrors, and obsidian daggers. Old women trade brujería tools: love soaps, candles to promote fertility, tea mixes that curse and enact revenge. They call on whatever futile powers of the universe still exist. Wholly Mexican. No one here has given up hope. I'm not sure what state the rest of the world is in, and I don't care to know. Flower peddlers showcase marigolds by the thousands out of the backs of trucks, children eat black zapote off of the tree, things here are still beautiful.
This part of the country has always been very elderly, very traditional, and very brown. The people in town, most of them elders, and all of them being able to trace their roots back here since the beginning of recorded history, were very glad to see a large family arrive. It was one big reunion. None of our blood relatives remained in the region, but my Gran Abuela, Abuelo, and Gran Tíos ran into many familiar faces. There was the old talk of "It's been years!" and "México finally called you back, yes?" and "This is your granddaughter? Ay, qué hermosa, mija!".
It's nice to be around my own nation of people. There is a town-wide bonfire once a month, when the moon is at its fullest. The elders gather and tell stories of how our people used to revere the moon and stars and planets. They speak about how we were so tall that we towered over the heads of everyone else, and the men laugh and look around at each other. How we were the best on horseback and even better with the bow and arrow. Of course, there is mention of how the mines brought our destruction. But mostly of how we kissed and made love and worshipped and existed long before any Spanish conquistador or warning of global destruction.
At midnight, we pass around tortillas, rice, and beer. A brave man tries to remember the steps to a folkloric dance, and someone, inevitably, will join him. An elder will share weaving tips with the young women. A matriarch of the town will come up to me and put more food on my plate, untroubled by the fact that my collarbones show themselves, for a good meal has the power to fix everything.
Later, the trucks will be loaded up with all the treasures of the day, and we will head back to the little valley. Maybe somewhere less fortunate, there are people wondering if there is a single little village on Earth that is happy. They wonder if there is a place where people are unshaken by the goings-on. Where a fat little dog will sleep on cool Moroccan tile. Where everyone will have bellies full of rice and pickled cactus. Where the Earth glows so green at night.
I want to tell them: It's here! It's the Ojos Azules! With this desire, I go to sleep. I know that in the morning, bluebirds will sing.

Note
Abuela seeing her teenage son Bruno falling in love in the same way that she and her husband did, wishing that the tragedy would not repeat itself , the same thing happening terribly as in the movie. When Bruno returns, abuela, who had maintained closeness with the reader, find's out that she maintained communication with Bruno through the rats. This makes her happy, but also guilty for intruding on their happiness.I don't know why I hurt myself with this. Have a nice day!
Tumblr media
(I’m sorry but out of all the request I’ve gotten this is my favorite. This fits Bruno’s character so well.) not much dialogue since I’m making it like the flashback of abuela and Pedro but less as sad
Super angsty beginning but fluffy ending also long opening
I’m changing it a bit hope you don’t mind.
1917 Colombia
Bruno Madrigal, a seventeen year old, reserved, and kept to himself personality. His gift and the facts that basically his only friends are rats, he didn’t talk much to people. Hw didn’t like to leave his room either. Sometime his mother Alma would have to get him out of there.
Today is one of those days. He already hated his room, the amount of stairs he had to climb each day, and down another. Alma wanted her son to meet people, make some new friends. But she didn’t know how hard it would be seeing his gift was the ability to see into the future.
Telling people such future only made them see the negatives, tell someone their fish is going to die. They point a finger in his direction. So making friends was off the list. Yet he wanted to make his mother proud, so hesitantly left the safety of his home and went out into the village.
A festival was going on and crowds of people, gathered around in one spot. (Y/n) groaned in annoyance, trying to push through the crowd. “Excuse me,” She said, shoving through the crowd but people still blocked her way.
“Pardon me. I can’t see.” She exclaimed, maneuvering her way through the crowd. She sighed, giving up and walking towards a nearby lamppost and climbing up took look at the festival ahead.
‘Dos oruguitas enamoradas’
Her gaze shifted towards another lamp post nearby, seeing someone around her age wearing a green poncho. He looked out of place but she smiled towards him, waving.
‘Pasan sus noches y madrugadas’
He was taken back slightly, but smiled waving back at her sheepishly. She giggled, looking at him. Almost falling off the lamppost catching her balance. He chuckled, seeing how clumsy she is. He didn’t know why but he had butterflies in his stomach. Her welcoming smile drew him in.
‘Llenas de hambre’
She smiled as a butterfly landed on his nose, laughing out loud. He blushed slightly watching her laugh. But then laughed as the butterfly flew towards her, landing on the tip of her nose.
‘Siguen andando y navegando un mundo’
He chuckled and she giggled, but only falling off the lamppost landing on her bum. He stepped off the lamppost rushing towards her, hoping she’s okay. He found her laughing on the ground, the butterfly in her hair.
They smiled at each other as he helped her up, forgetting about the festival. Sitting on the water fountain, eating some arepas.
‘Que cambia y sigue cambiando’
She smiled hearing him talk about himself, and he smiled hearing her talk about herself. Both seemed to have so much in common, “No Bruno, your gift is amazing don’t let anyone else tell you otherwise.” She said, placing her hand on his shoulder.
Alma was coming to get Bruno since it was getting late, and needed to bring him home. But was shocked to find him talking with some girl, both obviously completely enamored with the other. Like how she met Pedro, all those years ago. It still felt like it was yesterday, but was only seventeen years ago when she lost him.
‘Navegando un mundo’
(Y/n) giggled, placing her hand over his hand. Her heart skipped a beat, as did his. “Maybe, I’ll come by your casita and see my future?” She said, and he looked at her nervously.
“N-No, you wouldn’t like your future. What if your hair falls out? What if you find something out you didn’t wanna know?” He mumbled. She placed her hand on his cheek, calming hi down.
“If I lose my hair.. I lose my hair. I be upset with my vision Bruno. Whatever happens happens.” She says, rubbing his cheek.
‘Que cambia y sigue cambiando’
They both smiled before standing up, and him taking her home. Alma stood there unnoticed, she didn’t want what happened to Pedro to happen to them. She’d never forget that night, and she didn’t want her own son or (Y/n) to go through the same pain she went through.
(Y/n) looked around noticing more butterflies, “I’m happy we met Bruno.” She said, and he looked down at her a blush spreading across his cheek. “M-Me too.” He stammered.
‘Dos oruguitas paran el viento’
They’d meet everyday and every night, talking about their day. As well their families. Getting to know each other more falling deeper and deeper in love with one another. Alma on the other hand was worried, paranoid of what could happen to her sons relationship.
She truly didn’t want what happened to her to happen to him, and this girl she’s enamored with. (Y/n) had came over for her vision, going to Bruno’s room and once she saw the stairs. She immediately helped him create a elevator like system to get up the stairs faster.
‘Mientras se abrazan con sentimiento’
‘Siguen creciendo, no saben cuándo’
(Y/n) smiled, taking his hands as he began to use his gift. Watching as his eyes turned green, the circle of sand surrounded them. As the vision appeared, she gasped seeing her and Bruno together happily married.
Three figures around them, a tall one, and two little ones, children. Bruno blushed, now knowing his future with her. The vision appeared as a jade green glass, he took it in his hands. And sat down next to her, she smiled in awe looking at the vision.
“This is amazing!” She exclaimed, touching the glass. Looking at the image of her and Bruno together with their three kids. “You’re amazing!” She said, looking at him.
‘Buscar algún rincón’
Time around them seemed to stop, as they leaned in towards each other. Their lips inches apart before finally connecting, her fingers gripped his curly hair. While his hands wrapped around her waist, she no they didn’t want this moment to end.
‘El tiempo sigue cambiando’
She moved her hands towards his cheek, as they parted. Both blushing, “Um, can I keep this?” She asked, looking at him holding up the vision. “Of course.” He said, and she smiled giving him a peck on the lips.
“Hm, I can’t believe this is our future together.” She said, in awe. Her fingers tracing over the image of the three children.
“I don’t even know them yet but I’m already in love with them.” She said, crying softly looking at her future children.
“They’re so beautiful.” She says, leaning against his shoulder.
‘Inseparables son’
‘El tiempo sigue cambiando’
Bruno was about to leave to meet up with (Y/n), when Alana stopped him. Telling her son about how she thinks that girl isn’t the one for him, which he’s taken aback by. Since she’s been coming by a lot more often since they started dating four months ago, “But mamá, I love her.” He said, and she nodded understandingly but was holding her ground.
“But mijo, don’t you want her to have a future she deserves?” She asked, and Bruno looked down remembering the vision he had. She has a point from what he saw they didn’t end up having kids until they were in their early to late fifties or fourties‘.
“I-I want her to be happy.” He said, looking down. (Y/n) made her way up the casita, smiling. “Hi casita!” She said, giggling. Holding a present in her hand for Bruno.
‘Ay oruguitas, no se aguanten más’
She noticed Bruno sitting on the stairs, “What’s wrong Mi amor?” She asked, placing her hand on his cheek. He could barely look at her, not wanting to see the heartbreak that he was about to force them to endure.
He pulled his head away from her, “Hey, what’s wrong?” She asked, again.
‘Hay que crecer a parte y volver’
His heart already ached having not yet said a word, “I’m sorry, b-but we can’t be together anymore.” He said, and it was as if her heart stopped.
She couldn’t process what he just said, “W-Wha?” She whimpered. Tears welling up in her eyes, as her heart began to ache as well. Her entire body shaking, “B-But? Bruno!” She shouted, reaching out for him but he just backed away.
He couldn’t look at her for if he even peeked a glance, he’d burst into tears. “Please, Bruno what about our future together?!” She pleaded, her face bright red. He shook his head clenching his fist.
“It’s some stupid vision that you’ll forget about!” He shouted, at her and she gasped in shock, hearing him call the vision stupid.
‘Hacia adelante seguirás’
“Y-Yeah, I guess it was stupid. I guess everything I said to you was stupid. How much I loved the future that we were going to have is stupid!” She shouted, at him tears brimming her eyes.
‘Vienen milagros, vienen crisálidas’
“You’d really think I’d want to have a family with you?!” He shouted, and she gasped hands covering her mouth. As she couldn’t stop crying she almost couldn’t breathe then she threw the present at him, and ran out of the casita sobbing.
Bruno fell to his knees sobbing into his hands, his mother came towards him to place a hand in his shoulder but he bolted up the stairs and into his room slamming the door shut.
(Y/n) laid in her bed sobbing, staring at the glass vision before she stood up and smashed it on the ground. Shattering it. Then falling to her knees immediately regretting her decision sobbing as she held the shattered pieces of the faces of her children as they slowly faded away from the image.
‘Hay que partir y construir su propio futuro’
( few weeks later )
‘Ay oruguitas, no se aguanten más’
(Y/n) laid in her bed, crying still not over the break up. She loved him with all her heart, and was excited for their future. Together. But now she didn’t even know if she had a future, having it all been shattered literally. Her mother knocked on the door, “Mija, you need to eat.” Her mother said, and (Y/n) shook her head.
“I’m not hunger mamá, please.” (Y/n) said, in a depressed tone. Her mother sighed leaving the food on the dresser, and closing the door. (Y/n) whimpered, leaning her head into her blanket sobbing.
‘Hay que crecer a parte y volver’
‘Hacia adelante seguirás’
The squeaking of a rat caused her to sit up, noticing a rat with a huge piece of paper in its mouth. It scurried up into her bed and she took the paper from its mouth. Opening it. It was a letter from Bruno.
Dear Y/n,
I know I’m the last person you wanna hear from right now. But I’m so sorry for the pain I’m causing you. I was just afraid that our future wouldn’t be the one you truly wanted, and I felt like you deserved better than me. I did it because I love you. More than anything in this entire world. I’m so sorry.
(Y/n) cried reading the note, then reached for a new piece of paper on her nightstand.
Dear Bruno,
What you said to me absolutely broke my heart. I absolutely loved our future together. The three beautiful children that we’d eventually would’ve had I’d already fallen in love with. But now I know that future will never for to true.
My dream was to always find someone who’d love me for me. And share our lives together and have a family. I thought that was you but I guess I was wrong. You do deserve me Bruno. We both deserve each other. I’d do anything for you.
Tear drops deep through the paper.
I love you Bruno and I always will.
‘Vienen milagros, vienen crisálidas’
‘Hay que partir y construir su propio futuro’
So they sent letters to each other, for years. Eventually continuing their relationship through those very letters, and the once shattered glass vision the image of children appeared once more.
(Time Skip)
(Y/n) smiled, seeing Bruno again running towards him wrapping her arms around him. “We’ve actually been in contact with each other.” She says, smiling kissing him on the cheek.
Everyone was in shock, especially Alma. Seeing how happy they’re together feeling years of pent up guilt, for trying to break them apart and succeeding or so she thought. After rebuilding casita, and hopefully Bruno’s room having less stairs. He finally proposed to (Y/n) who accepted it of course.
Alma was happy too, seeing how much the girl her son loved so much. Reminded her of her late husband, especially in how they met. (Y/n) smiled, placing her forehead on Bruno’s shoulder while crying at how her future was about to come to fruition.
“Bruno, I do have one thing to tell you.” She said, looking at him. and he turned to look at her, “What?” He asked.
She smiled softly placing her right hand over her stomach, “I’m pregnant.” She said, and Bruno’s mouth dropped. As well as everyone else’s. Alma smiled, placing her hand on her cheek and hugging her. Apologizing for trying to break them apart years ago.
I didn’t cry while writing this you did.. hope u enjoyed
(Note: yes Bruno did sneak out of his house to see y/n which eventually led into them doing the dirty)
