i think maybe the biggest difference between my conception of loki and fandom-in-general's conception of loki is i'm like "loki is a shitty STEM kid" and everyone else says "loki, tortured artist"
#i just think loki likes art bc he likes beautiful things in general but he doesn't understand it
#like it's an aesthetic appreciation but it's without much depth
#whereas he fucking GETS STEM, which on asgard is magic
#like the fiddly mechanics and computations that go behind every spell and charm and potion
#he knows why and how everything slots into place and it's part of the reason he's so good at frankensteining his own magical practices
#like he gets taught aesir magic and vanir magic and elvish magic and jotnir seith and is like
#''why not make a machine that looks like a book that tells the future but only if you know the secret ritual to opening it?''
#''nothing about the mechanics of it says i can't. YOU say i can't bc you're stuck on tradition''
#''me i LOVE wearing mixed fibres''
#i dunno how else you wanna read the thor1 quote that's like ''lol you call it science on midgard but everywhere else we call it magic''
#justice for STEM major loki lmao
#i'm not even saying STEM understanding and art understanding are mutually exclusive
#i'm just saying we see what happens when loki tries to write a play and HE'S TERRIBLE AT IT lol
#like it's just not one of his skillsets and i choose to find that charming

Hair Transplant Insights: 5 Important Facts About Hair Transplants
Your hair plays a significant role in shaping your self-perception. Hair loss can take a toll on your self-esteem and confidence. While hair transplants offer a solution for achieving a fuller head of hair, there are numerous misconceptions surrounding this surgical remedy. If you're considering a hair transplant, it's crucial to be well-informed. Dr. Nishita Seith along with the team of other hair restoration experts at DNCC, a prominent clinic with multiple branches including Mumbai and Goa. We at DNCC employ cutting-edge techniques to ensure best results. In addition, we strive to discuss some Hair transplant facts.
Keep reading to discover five important hair transplant facts and myths about hair transplants.
Hair Transplant will help you achieve a natural look.
Natural-Looking Results are Attainable At DNCC, our foremost objective is to provide subtle and authentic results. Dr. Nishita employs advanced methodologies, meticulously considering the placement, angle, and location of hair follicles to achieve the most natural appearance possible. Collaborating closely with you, our team ensures your expectations are realistic. Post-transplant, you can care for, style, and maintain your transplanted hair just like the rest of your mane.
Patience is Required for Visible Outcomes
Realistic expectations are paramount for a successful hair transplant journey. This entails acknowledging that results take time to manifest. After a few weeks, transplanted hair sheds, but the follicles persist in growth beneath the scalp. New hair begins sprouting around four to five months post-treatment, with complete hair growth evident at the 12-month mark.
Hair Transplants for Women Too
While hair loss is often categorized as a concern primarily for men, over 50% of women also experience visible hair loss. A significant portion of these women struggle with female-pattern hair loss, characterized by thinning hair on the top and sides of the head. Hair transplants are viable solutions for both genders, bolstering hair and confidence. Ideal candidates typically exhibit male- or female-pattern hair loss, possess the ability to grow transplanted hair, and have adequate healthy hair for transplantation.
Minimize Scarring with Advanced Techniques
Certain hair transplant methods lead to noticeable linear scars resulting from substantial hair removal. However, DNCC, one of the best Hair Transplant Clinics under Dr. Nishita's guidance employs state-of-the-art procedures to eliminate significant linear scarring. The FUE method is utilized, involving the extraction of individual grafts one by one. Our team specializes in follicular unit extraction (FUE), utilizing the Atera FUE 100, a premier FUE device, resulting in minimal one-millimeter scars.
Long-Lasting Results
Modern hair transplants offer nearly permanent results, making them the most enduring hair restoration solution. After a transient shedding period five to seven weeks post-surgery, new hair growth follows the natural hair development cycle. This implies that your newly transplanted hair will persist for years to come.
Key Takeaways
During your consultation with Dr. Nishita, a comprehensive assessment encompassing factors such as age, family history, scalp condition, and specific hair loss type will determine your candidacy for a hair transplant. If transplantation isn't advisable, alternative hair restoration methods may be recommended. While complete restoration or guaranteed long-term results can't be assured, Dr. Nishita and the DNCC team work towards achieving your hair restoration goals.
For more insights into hair transplants and other restoration techniques, reach out to us or schedule an appointment with Dr. Nishita, one of the best hair transplant surgeons at DNCC through our online portal or by phone.

Probably gonna be burying the lede with this one but the thing I want to talk about is that Angrboda was kind of accidentally-on-purpose allowed to go feral as a child I think.
Like, it was Angrboda, Skrymir and like less than 100 other giants who all got stranded on Vanaheim when Odin's war on Jotunheim started and the pathways between worlds closed. They were all diplomats, scholars, and labourers. No families, no children -- just those sent with a purpose to work. Angrboda was eight, and he'd only just been matched to Farbauti's newborn heir, which has catapulted him from relative obscurity to being heir to the second royal house. He'd only just been given over to Skrymir for his education and training, and this was his first time off-planet.
(Angrboda as a child was shy to the point of aloofness but tractable and, when his fate revealed itself to him, serious about his duties. Middling intelligence with unremarkable talents, he was more of a follower than a leader in childhood games. He was born to a set of three, and was not as handsome as his older brother and not as clever as his younger, though he did have a sort of gracefulness about the face and carriage which was suitable for his breeding. All three were unfortunately marred by their unfavourable colouring: pale hair and yellow-red eyes. Perhaps their fathers were too closely related.)
Skrymir had been a kingmaker -- he'd been widowered early into his marriage and had had no children. He'd dedicated his life to raising the children of the second house, and he'd been nurse to the past two companion kings before Angrboda. Angrboda was supposed to be his third king, but now what is he?
Angrboda has zero social utility anymore. He cannot be what he was born to be; he cannot rule alone -- all kings must rule as pairs, and if one of the pair dies, it is their law for the other to abdicate. He's a widower at 8 years old, a retired king before he ever got to rule, a ruler of nothing.
And in any case he's a child. He understands what has happened but only in the most abstract sense. He just knows what he's been told: that his planet is gone, that his family is likely dead. That his life is over, that all the things he's been being prepared for and all that he's endured has been for nothing.
He's angry and confused, powerless and frightened. Vanaheim is too bright, too hot. He misses his brothers, his fathers, the rest of his family. He asks questions no one has the answers to. He wants to go home. He doesn't care about being king anymore. He wants to go home.
But Skrymir has a lot on his plate. He's the eldest of the stranded giants and he is the highest ranked (adult) amongst them. They are all looking to him for guidance and he has to give it to them. Vanaheim is sympathetic, but there's only so much help they can render while under Odin's eye. So the giants are alone. Skrymir works with the craftsmen to build them a suitable habitat that can keep them safe and hidden. There are no proper seith singers amongst them, only those who have been exposed to the art but not given full and proper training. Skrymir has the most experience, but even he is only of the second house.
There is just very little time Skrymir can give to Angrboda, and what time he does have, Angrboda doesn't want. What is the point in learning history and etiquette and How Things Are Done when Angrboda has no future? What is the point in being told that he needs to sit at a table and ask with his words not to growl and snap at people when they upset him when nobody wants him here anyway? Why come inside when it's wet out? Why wear these stupid clothes when they just get in the way?
Skrymir has no good answers for him. "Because you have to be a civilised person," he says, with ever increasing weariness and impatience. "Because this is what being a civilised person is like."
Even though he hasn't done it since before he could walk, Angrboda starts wearing his wolf form again.
At first Skrymir corrects him, embarrassed. He's too old for this; no grown Jotun with his hair tied back still goes around on all fours. Stand up, Angrboda. Be a person.
But angrboda likes being a wolf. He likes how low to the ground he can be, and he likes how he can run through even Vanaheim's thickets and forests without getting tripped up. He likes that everybody keeps away from him, when he's covered in brambles and mud. Nobody looks at him with those sad, sorry eyes.
Angrboda and skrymir go head to head on this, and Skrymir might have won if it hadn't been for all the other things. If he could have just taken a year, two years, right at the beginning, to really straighten Angrboda out, things would have been fine
But angroboda tears up every room he gets locked in. He chews holes through the walls and howls through the night.
Finally, skrymir just unlocks the doors. All right. You win.
Angrboda takes off into the woods. He can't get far; the habitat only extends seven leagues across in any direction, but that's far enough for angrboda.
Far enough for now, anyway
