Fast fashion is inevitable

The idea that fast fashion will fade is almost an dream. Unfortunately, similar to world peace we can only dream of in a perfect world. My perfect world is the end of fast fashion waste and world peace coincide hand and hand. Fast fashion is a representation of our social hierarchy. Now your probably asking, well how does that match up?

Fast fashion is a product built for the people but against the world. It’s built for people to stay on trend and be fashionable at affordable prices. Key word affordable. A lot of ethical and sustainable-slow fashion brands have great quality and good print, unfortunately at not so affordable prices. This is where the term “you get what you pay for”, comes into play. Paying two dollars for a shirt and 1.99 for shipping on shein will only get you as far as cheap. You get what you pay for. People would rather spend tons of money to stay on trend than save money for they’re own personal style.
