surely this is what we are.

staying awake under the stars

searching for sustenance to feed the mind.

unwavering in a plight to remain

united with all that gives life meaning

unity found, free, synced

untying the bonds of greed, cruelty.

reviving the old ways of wandering

reach up and we shall see

rewards aplenty, new ways of being

recycled among the ground: soil, water.

versatile in our capabilities

a vertical climb from here

verifying the chosen path

very sure it must be correct.

I’ve seen it all repeat

intended as with the seasons

intertwined all around Earth’s surface

impossible to forget the beauty, the blood.

volatile elements spread around

visages clouded with fear

visions of a world turned to ash

violent dread for a future of no meaning

energy fixated on that which is

essential for a tomorrow to appear

Earth’s spinning day by day

ensuring we call may see

tomorrow.

Introductions

Hello! I am new, I want to start a greener lifestyle, I want to save money (or at least spend it wisely), I want to do something that has proof behind it showing it helps.

Fast facts: - I am in college studying computers. - I've been in a relationship with my now boyfriend for almost 2 years (2 weeks away from hitting that milestone) - Back home, I have two family pets. One is an Airedale Terrier named Kevin (1 yr old) the other is a Wire fox Terrier named Poppy (3 yr old). - Personal hobbies of mine include water color painting, puzzles, reading, and swimming.

This blog was created to hold me accountable for this transition and to, hopefully, get some tips from anyone who has already set out on this path. My sister will probably be joining me on this journey.

They say the best way to start is using up what you already have, so that's what I want to do. I am most excited to switch over my dishwashing routine to the bamboo scrubbers and soap block. It just looks like fun and is supposed to last you a decent amount of time.
