Currently upset I can't find my favourite type of highlighter in my favourite colour for sale individually
It's this very specific version of turquoise in the staedtler textsurfer rainbow pack. The normal one is just not the same.

From one college kid to another, may I introduce TextSurf to you!! Instead of spending thousands of dollars on textbooks each year this website drastically decreases the amount of money you spend on your textbooks. Textsurf.com helps you find your textbooks for lower prices than before and greatly helps with prices! Please look into it!! They are partnered with Roomsurf, a place to find roommates too, which is where I found mine, who I absolutely love! If Roomsurf can partner you up with a great roommate then Textsurf can partner you up with great low priced books!!

any pastel highlighter recs/faves?
i know mildliners are always the most popular recommendations, but i’ll give u some other less mainstream options haha
dong-a pastel highlighters: they’re korean highlighters, which might make them harder to find, but they’re my current fav rn! the twinliners + miffy highlighters are both super great, but pick the twinliners if you want a dual tip (chisel tip on one end, bullet tip on the other). the miffy ones are scented, but they only have the chisel tip.
pilot frixion: these are super pale and transparent, which make them good for thin paper. there’s little bleedthrough, and these are more of a true pastel compared to the mildliners imo. the downsides are that they do erase under higher temperatures, so don’t leave these in your car during the summer + they can be a little too light for some folks. i find these easy on the eyes though.
uni propus soft color: i.....only like 2 colors out of the set (the aqua and purple) bc i think the rest are more fluorescent than pastel, but they have such little bleedthrough. the chisel tip is also more durable than the mildliners because of the clear plastic window in the tip. if you like all the colors, then get the set, but if you’re only interested in one or two like me, it’s more worth it to get them individually.
staedtler triplus textsurfer: these are less of a highlighter and more of a flexible marker, but i like that you can use them as a thin highlighter, a marker, and a brush pen because of the flexible tip. it’s just....so versatile, i love it. i love the colors, and in retrospect, i wish i had gotten the set. i’m getting super good use out of the ones i have tho (pink, brown, grey), and these are some of my more recent stationery favs.
kokuyo beetle tip soft color: these r interesting because they have two colors in one pen. the colors are a true pastel without being as transparent as the frixion. i genuinely like these a lot and should probably use them more HAHA. i can only use them as highlighters using the broad chisel tip though. i don’t find myself using the thinner tip or the “dual function” double colored line that the pen offers, but if you think you would use that a lot, go for it.
i wouldn’t recommend the morris retractable highlighters, the stabilo boss pastel highlighters, and the zebra mildliners because of their bleedthrough. they’re just so laden with ink that the tip often bleeds through my notebooks and loose-leaf papers. the zebra mildliners are fine if you start using them regularly because they stop being as inky way faster than the morris or the stabilo, but then, the tip frays and wears down easily. they’re still fine if you have them, and i still use mine regularly, but i use them more for markers and decoration and bullet journaling than i do for actual highlighting.

(15/30) back to school challenge: supplies + reviews
wow almost halfway wow. and tbh i use a lot of stuff rn and I don’t want to make this too long so I’m just gonna write about the things I use the most nowadays.
STAEDTLER Textsurfer classic highlighters nice colors, sometimes too intense for my likings, but I generally like using them and would recommend them. 8/10.
STABILO Pen 68 buying them since 2016, idk if it’s bc I use them rather sparingly, but I have yet to buy a refill..... anyway, really nice to use. 9/10
FABER-CASTELL Pastel Textliner <3 love these, I love the pastel colors so much, I only wish they would be a bit cheaper bc I want all of them, but I also don’t want to have -300SEK in my bank account, you know? 9/10
STABILO point 88 fine 0.4 pretty good fineliners, i don’t have any major complaints about these tbh. but then again, I don’t have much comparison. 9/10
MUJI washi tape simple, yet nice. I need to come up with what more can I do with plain washi tape, since all my usage of washi tape so far was centered around the tape having some sort of pattern. 8/10
MUJI 0.5 Mechanical Pen I can’t complain about it.... it does it job, but it’s kinda uncomfortable to hold compared to the previous one. I really loved the previous one. like i said, it’s not bad but I prefer the old one way more. 7/10
MUJI 0.38 gel pens my absolute favorites, I’ll be forever grateful to studyblr for making me discover muji and these pens, because they are CHEAP enough and the PERFECT size. call me basic but 10/10 <3
PILOT Point Frixion 0.5 in red I really like this one, especially because of the eraser at the top! a friend recommended these to me and I’m glad I listened to her! really nice to hold and write with. although I wish they came in 0.4/0.3 (bc yes, 0,5 is too thick for me bc I have really tiny handwriting), I’ll continue buying these. 9/10
MUJI highlighter with window another really nice investment, especially considering the window! I love that it’s double ended and thanks to the window, I can finally see where the sentence is ending. also, it oddly helps me keep my hand stable? 10/10
