Here are my character designs for my university Honours project! I decided to design 3 characters from The Lies of Locke Lamora, using Renaissance fashion (particularly Venetian) as a basis for the costuming. I just really love this series so I wanted to visualise the characters.

Joking aside, the Millennium Falcon is not the space fantasy equivalent of a busted-ass old panel van.
The Millennium Falcon is the space fantasy equivalent of a busted-ass old panel van that's inexplicably been hot-rodded to have a top speed of 300 miles per hour, which is substantially funnier.

Book review: The Falconer trilogy by Elizabeth May
Rating:
The Falconer: 4⭐
The Vanishing Throne: 3⭐
The Fallen Kingdom: 3,5⭐️
If you like: fae, fantasy, romance, steampunk, YA book, situated in Scotland in the 1800s, well give this trilogy a chance.
Many hated it, many loved it, the typical. I have mixed feelings. I fell in love with the first book, but I slowly lost interest as I continued. Maybe I wasn’t in the right mood, maybe I should’ve read it when I was younger, idonno. That’s how I felt.
If you’ve read it, pls share your opinion. If not, this is a light reading to add to your reading challenge ;)

i enjoy comparing the different ways that birds of prey attack. you've got eagles doing the classic lord of the skies, king of the air, death from above pose
and then you've got peregrine falcons who are just like "fuck it. tactical missile strike."

A female falcon was equipped with a satellite tracking system in South Africa before migrating to Finland. Image shows tracker data. In just 42 days, she flew over 10.000 km, at an incredible average of 230 km per day and nearly in a straight line.
