Give me something to rail against!

Give me an enemy to strike, a face to bloody,

Give me something worth baring broken teeth at in defiance.

I was made for battle but am beset by creeping horrors.

Tiny minds, awkward laughs, microagressions.

Small details, like grains of sand, pouring endlessly into my open mouth and I swallow again and again until my belly heaves against the weight.

I am a beast but the world is a stage and the only way to win is to play.

I stumble through my lines, distracted by the thought of how easily I can crush papier-mâché in my hands.

Felt like doing a little photo shoot for myself today, under the benevolent eye of the Green Man. Tired, hungover, but feeling myself and really feeling good about looking gender neutral. One of the hurdles I’ve had to work on mentally with my gender identity is figuring out how to look/feel sexy while neutral. I know how to do girl-sexy and have some small success doing man-sexy but it can be really hard for me to picture someone else finding my androgyny sexy and hard for me to figure out how to work on feeling sexy in it. It may have something to do with how I feel most attractive when I’m dressed up and dress clothes are so very gendered.
