Retrovailles [Levi x Reader]
Tumblr media
Retrouvailles. [French. meaning: rediscovery] The joy of reuniting with someone after a long separation
Levi could not, for the life of him, understand how you ended up in the underground. You were sweet, gentle, and beautiful. It was as though someone had decided to hide the brightest star in the galaxy in the dingiest place they could find. Fortunately for him, that brought you into his life. You deserved better than this, though. You had the potential for more, the possibility to live and love in the light of the sun. You should have been above ground with the clean air, the birds, the stars, not patching him up after fights or making him tea and yet you did so without complaint. A gentle tap interrupts his thoughts; you had set a cup of warm tea in front of him.    "Levi, what are you thinking about?"    He uncrossed his legs leaning forward from the creaky old couch to take his cup, "Nothing."    "I don't believe you," you responded, tucking your legs under you as you take a seat next to him, your knees pressing against his thigh. He silently wraps an arm around your shoulders and draws you nearer. Neither of you speaks for awhile.    "When I get the money, I'm sending you up first."    You huffed, "You can try, but I'm not leaving without you."
Levi swore he had never felt as much panic as when he came back to an empty home. This morning you had informed him that you weren't planning to leave. However, the lack of your presence wasn't what set him off the most; what scared him to the bone was the smashed table and broken door.    He and Farlan had looked everywhere before he walked past the stairs going up to the city.    "Looking for that pretty girl of yours?" Levi stopped. "She's long gone. Not coming back. Lobov heard that you were keeping a gem in your home. A merchant told him the location."    The man's companion put out a cigarette before chiming in, "Ha! Guess one of his sons really can't find a wife or something. Snatching a sewage girl must be some crazy last resort."
Levi was dressed in a white button-up and black pants, casual clothes perfect for being dragged out to town by Hanji. They talked back and forth about things ranging from her titan research, the new recruits, or Levi's aversion to dirt.    "They're teens, of course they're not going to clean perfectly. It's a given."    "I wasn't like that."    "You're an anomaly to most things."    Levi clicked his tongue at her comment ready to retort until she yanked him towards a store, "Look how pretty these flowers are!"    "What the hell would you need flo-"    "Ah, these alp lilies bloomed very well this year!" Levi immediately stiffened at your familiar voice. You looked the same. Small petals had gotten caught in your hair and you were holding a potted plant.    "Y/N?"    "Levi." A statement, not a question, accompanied by gleaming bright smile. She laughed a little at his slightly flabbergasted expression. "If you're wondering, I ran away from Lobov on the second night after he caught me."    Hanji stood by, confused but knew that she shouldn't interrupt. In two strides, Levi closed the space between you two and you laughed as he pressed his forehead against yours and held the sides of your face. An overwhelming amount of emotion causing him to release a shuddering sigh; his shoulders relaxing. A very shocked Hanji decided it was time to step out of the flower shop.    "I," he sighed before speaking quietly, "I missed you, you brat."
*muffled screams of embarrassment*

Chocolate | c.h.
Tumblr media
Words: 245
Warnings: none
Summary: there’s literally no plot i cant even summarize this. also i know this whole comparison to food thing is old and not cool but i sWEAR theres a purpose to it.
You loved chocolate. All kinds of chocolate. He was like chocolate. All kinds of chocolate. His hair was the darkest brown like dark chocolate. Dark chocolate that curled and frizzed in a wild, untamed mess. You loved his hair. His skin was like milk chocolate. A warm, welcoming brown. Warm and welcoming, like his touch. The way his fingers skimmed your arms when you two watched movies. His eyes, somewhere in between. A swirl of dark brown that glowed in the sun. Hazy in the morning when you woke up before him and watched them flutter open.
You opened another drawer, nothing. Damn it.
He was as sweet as. No, you scrunched your nose. He was sweeter than the sweetest of white chocolates. How he remembered the smallest of things about you. How he knew the way you liked your coffee. How he glowed with pride when he woke up before you with enough time to make you the aforementioned coffee. How he would come home some days with a silly trinket. It reminded me of you.
The last drawer you opened, if it was empty then that means you had no more.
        Empty.
        How could he.
The keys jingling snapped you out of your thoughts. The door opening cued you to start making your way to the door.
        "Y/N-" he started.
"Calum Thomas Hood! How dare you-"
"Eat the last box of chocolate?" he finished, handing you a box of newly bought Ferrero Rocher.
        oh.
i like chocolate, sorry.

word count: 7.8k
warning: some swearing + he eats u out l o l
a/n: i…… dont know what this is who am i ……………..
You can barely remember how it happened. A flyer pinned to a bulletin board, asking –nearly begging– for a roommate that could move in before the semester started. That was during your first year, and you had quickly made the decision that you did not like dormitories. They were too crowded, and you could often smell weed coming from other rooms to yours. Besides, your roommate was awful, and she barely showered.
You had taken a picture of the fluorescent pink flyer with your phone, and dialled the number as soon as you’d gotten out of your class.
The deep voice that picked up on the other end was not what you were expecting, but whatever. Who cares if you lived with a guy? People in college lived co-ed all the time. No big deal.
“Hi, I’m Y/N, I’m calling about the roommate ad?”

Calum squinted at his phone. Google maps had unfortunately failed to guide him to his destination and now he wasn’t sure where to go in this unfamiliar city. Mentally cursing he ducked into a nearby Starbucks to escape from the heat and enjoy the air conditioning while he tried to figure out how the hell he was going to find his way. As he made his way towards a table someone bumped into his right arm making him jump slightly.
"Oh, I'm so sorry," the person said
"Yeah... That's okay..." Calum said trailing off once he made eye contact with the stranger in front of him. They were beautiful. Her/their/his eyes definitely had a spark in them that drew him in immediately. Her/their/his hair reflected the warm summer light. He was captivated before he realized that they was/were turning to leave.
      "Wait!"
They turned to look at him, "Yes?"
"Uh, can you help me get here?" He said show them his phone screen.
They read the address. Running their hands through their hair and pursed their lips to think. After a moment they said, "Yeah just walk straight for three blocks and then take a left."
Calum smiled, "Great. Thank you. Uh, I hope this isn't weird but could I get your na-" their phone's ringtone interrupted him.
"Ah shit," they said, "Sorry I gotta go. Yeah, yeah, I'm on my way. No I'm not lost!"
"Dude, quit spacing out," Luke said as he lounged on the couch across from Calum, "What's going on with you?"
"Oh, nothing," Calum mumbled, "I just... there was this person. I ran into them at Starbucks-"
"Attractive?" Ashton asked, joining the conversation.
      "Well yeah-"
      "Did you get a name?"
      "No they-"
      "Lame."
Calum glared at him but turned to look at Michael when he heard him chuckle at a video he was watching. To his surprise, the person he ran into at Starbucks, was on Michael's screen enthusiastically gesturing and ranting to the camera.
"Seriously, everything is so stupid. Like, people hate people from a different place and they want to vote for a racist, orange mistake in nature."
"Hey, Michael. Michael. Michael, who is that?"
      "Huh? It's [Y/N][L/N]. They're hilarious."
"And then Jasper was like 'bitch don't touch that it's worth a lot' but I was like 'girl it's just a box what's the big deal' and she was just goin' nuts and that's how I found out that Jasper had three sugar daddies and the box was full of shit they bought her and she's gonna sell them to pay tuition."
"I mean. You gotta do what you gotta do I guess?"
"I guess but-" [Y/N]'s friend started before the sound of a tri-tone came from their iPhone. Pressing the home button they saw a Twitter notification.
      @Calum5sos started following you
"Shut the fuck up," their friend whispered.
They smiled and unlocked their phone, opening his profile and pressing direct message. Their friend look at them curiously as they started typing.

You finally had gotten the peace and quiet you longed for - after waiting countless days for your family to finally settle in your house, having to hear the constant rustling in your home along with some minor arguments, you finally had the house to yourself. You were finally able to relax in silence for the night.
You sat cross-legged on your bed, a smile wide on your face as your best friend continued to explain all the new gossip that was going around your old school.
“… And then she got expelled.” she finished as your eyes went wide. “No way.” you say in disbelief. “Yup, it was really surprising for everyone too but apparently they didn’t give her a say in what happened. She was just kicked out of a school, just like that.”
“Wow. I can’t believe they actually-” you began but four knocks to your door had stopped you from speaking. “Hold on a moment, someone’s at the door.”
“Wonder who it is,” she stated, not longer after a smirk appeared on her face. “What’s with that look?” you ask furrowing your eyebrows. “Nothing, nothing. Maybe it’s your lover at the door.” she says as you roll your eyes. “Yeah yeah, as if.” you murmur.
Another three knocks erupted as you groan, standing up from your comfortable spot. You trudged downstairs with a huff as you placed your hand over the doorknob. What if it was Calum? Was there a possibility? “Yeah, in my dreams.” you scoff quietly to yourself as you finally decided to open up the door.
Your heart hammered against your chest as you wondered who could possibly be at the door. Maybe you were just overthinking everything, but you wished that once that wooden door opened, you would be met with the gorgeous brown eyes and curly black hair you were slowly starting to fall for. You couldn’t imagine who else it could be, but you set your hopes far too high expecting it to be Calum.
You let out a shaky breath before you heard the familiar click of your door unlocking. And there you were, your mouth hung open slightly as you stood in front of absolutely nothing.
“What the hell?” you say in confusion, stepping outside onto your patio looking for the source of the knocks. You looked around but you were only met with the cold evening air. “Weird.” you muttered as you shut the door.
You let out a sigh of slight disappointment as you walked back into your bedroom, still confused by what had happened. “So who was it?” your friend asked. “Nobody.” you murmur. “What do you mean nobody?” she questioned in her own confusion. “I opened the door and was met with nothing but the air.” you remarked. “Weird.” she muttered as you shrugged.
“Doesn’t matter now,” you say. “But anyways, continue you on with your story.” you say with a smile.
Despite your expression, you couldn’t help but fall deep into your thoughts, wondering who that mysterious person could have been. You so badly wanted to think that maybe it could’ve been the boy you had been thinking about for months outside your doorstep. You really only wanted an excuse to see him up close again compared to having to stare at him through his window. You shook your head knowing that he couldn’t possibly reciprocate the same feelings you did.
He’s too good for me. You thought.
“What the fuck was that!” Michael exclaimed loudly making the boy wince in his seat. “I’m sorry, I chickened out!” Calum huffed.
“Calum, I’m sorry, but you are singlehandedly the most idiotic person there is to live.” Luke uttered in disbelief.
Ashton stood next to his friends, his mouth shut tight but a look of disapproval clearly displayed on his face as he shook his head. Calum knew he would never live to see the end of this, all the taunting his friends were doing were not helping his ego in any way. The once cocky boy who felt as if he could get any girl he wanted no longer felt that way. He felt too vulnerable.
“What do you want me to say?” Calum avowed. “That I’m a fuck up? Okay, I admit that I’m a dumb ass but it happened, I can’t do anything about it now!”

Me or Her? // C.H
Tumblr media
You smiled softly as you opened the front door to the apartment you and your best friend Calum were sharing. Humming the newest 5 seconds of summer song, you took off your coat and shoes. “(Y/N)?” Calum called out as soon as he heard you. “Yeah, where are you?” you couldn’t help but smile at the sound of his voice. You’ve always had a little crush on Calum but over the years that little crush turned into a massive one, and ever since you two moved in together, you were completely sure you were in love with him. “Get your bum in the kitchen, there’s someone I’d like you to meet.” “Oh god Cal, I told you not to buy a puppy.” You murmured, walking down the hallway quickly, stopping in the kitchen doorway. Your heart dropped immediately at the sight in front of you. There was no puppy waiting for you, it was a girl. A beautiful girl. Calum smiled, wrapping one of his arms around the girl’s waist and kissing her forehead. She smiled at his gentle gesture, kissing his lips ever so slightly, before hiding her face in his neck. You coughed awkwardly, waiting for Calum to explain what was going on. “(Y/N), this is my girlfriend Lisa, baby this is my best friend (Y/N).” She lifted her head from his shoulder and smiled at you. “Hi Lisa, it’s nice to meet you.” “It’s nice to meet you too, you’re really pretty.” “Thanks, so are you. Uh, I’m really sorry but I’ve got some work to do. I’m in my room if you need anything.” You basically ran to your room, tears threatening to fall onto your cheeks any second. You spent the whole night crying to Michael over the phone. You’ve never felt more heartbroken in your entire life.

Tumblr media
One day, just one day of moving into a beautiful house in the city of Sydney, Australia and yet you couldn’t deny how badly you wanted to take the next plane back to your home.
Or what you once considered your home.
It had only been one day of you being officially moved into your new house. It had only been one day since you boarded a plane, having to travel hours across the country. It had only been one day since you finished packing every bit of your existence back in your old country, leaving nothing but the memories you shared. It had only been one day since your parents started their new jobs, and one day since you cried and cried begging them not to transfer to Australia.
It had only been one day and you were already exhausted, stressed, and on the verge of depression. You had to leave the most important people, and you now had to start fresh in a new place. New place, new faces. Faces you felt you would never be able to get used to because you never wanted to move here in the first place.
“So how is it over there?” a voice spoke, coming from your laptop. You turned your head to look at the familiar face displayed on your screen as you mustered up a small smile.
“Hell.” you answered back with a chuckle - but your tone lacked any sort of humour.
“Come on, it can’t be that bad, y/n.” your best friend exclaimed with a heavy sigh. “You’ll love it there, I bet.”
“Don’t count on it.” you say. “It’s only been like, what, 24 hours and I’m already going through withdrawals.”
“Don’t be so dramatic, babe. You’re in Australia for Christ’s Sake! And I bet you’re going to make a lot of friends, and you’ll get a lot of boys dropping on their knees for you. Just like back home.” she stated, trying to lighten the mood.
Back home.
It shouldn’t of hurt hearing her say those words, it was far from her intentions anyway. But once she realized what she had said, and the frown that was displayed clearly on your lips, she was quick to apologize.
“Oh, y/n. I’m so sorry. I didn’t realize-” she began, but you cut her off with a smile.
“You know what, it’s okay.” you say, trying to make your smile as genuine as possible. “You’re right. I’ll make new friends, I’ll date new guys. I’ll, just start all over .. again.” your voice faltered as you looked down at your keyboard.
But the worst thing was that you didn’t want to make new friends. You didn’t want to date new guys. You didn’t want to start all over. Before you or your best friend could speak again, your mom knocked on your door as you motioned for her to enter.
“Your father has decided we should go and make friends with the new neighbours. He said it would be good for us to start getting used to the people around here.” your mom stated. “We’re gonna go next door to have dinner.”
“I rather not go.” you utter quietly.
You could see the disappointment in her eyes as she sighed and sat across from you on your bed. She rubbed your knee comfortingly as she opened her mouth to speak. “Y/n-”
“Please, mom. Don’t make me go.” You beg. “You’ve already made me move thousands of miles away, don’t make me go over there! I’m not ready to go out just yet, okay? So if you can do one thing for me after making me leave my home, than don’t make me go!” You exclaim, sounding harsher than you intended to.
Your mother’s eyes widened upon your outburst and for a moment you felt guilty. You were going to apologize when she stood up from her spot and shook her head. “Y/n, you’re coming to this dinner.” she said firmly, as she walked out of your room, shutting your door quietly.

Pro-tip for writing imagines: make y/n vague
If you read imagines in this fandom you may have noticed that it’s almost always a skinny neurotypical straight cis white girl (give or take a couple instances on the neurotypical part) which is not even remotely representative of who is in our fam which is why we need to be more inclusive yknow?
When you write imagines it really shouldn’t be written the same way as normal fanfiction because you’re trying to create a story for the reader to imagine themselves in whereas normal fanfiction is for the reader to immerse theirselves into someone else’s story. To be inclusive the best way to go is to make the reader’s character as vague as possible.
A lot of the times it’s obvious that the writer is imagining the story in third person but writing it in second person, which is completely understandable since this is how stories are usually presented but, again, since this is a different situation you need to adjust a bit.
Instead of imagining the story as 2 characters imagine it as yourself and what you see. (like a first person shooter game)
Put more description in:
the environment/setting around you/the reader
the person/people you/the reader is interacting with
emotions and bodily reactions
i.e instead of using red cheeks as embarrassment maybe warmth of the blush
textures, sound, tastes, smell, and just the senses in general
there is a case where the point of view is in the person the reader is interacting with which is a little different but the idea is still the same (if that makes sense)
describe how the environment interacts with the reader instead!
like how the light bounces of their hair and skin
describe the emotions the reader is expressing!
i.e. ‘he watched the amusement flicker in your eyes’
of course there are some things that are a little unavoidable like the mannerisms you may write into the reader’s character (I have certain behaviors that I accidentally give the reader even if its not universal) but the idea is basically to make the reader as vague as you possibly can to make stories more inclusive

Words: 375
Warnings: none?
Summary: BPD!Y/N accidentally sets off some fans. (this doesn’t necessarily apply to all bpd people but it definitely does for me)
A/N: you’ll probably need some context on BPD for this. BPD (borderline personality disorder) often does this great (note the sarcasm) thing where it actually doesn’t allow you to feel someone’s love/affection without constant reassurance (and even with it it’s still sort of eh) which is often why, im assuming, people like me get frustrated and angry when we’re told we should be grateful that so-and-so cares about us at all. this imagine itself is mostly based on my personal experience with my reaction to being told to be grateful so...
Frustrated. That's how you felt. Throat caught with anger and head spinning with anxiety you rubbed your eyes with the palm of your hands. Just ignore it, oh my god, just ignore them, you thought, mentally repeating it as your legs brought you from one side of the room to the other.
You should have known it would set them off. It was just one tweet and it didn't even mean anything. It was just a thought. An irrelevant, intrusive thought that occurred on a day that may not have been your best.
"@Y/T/N: I wish someone would care enough to give me some TLC."
In retrospect, it wasn't a good idea to say that at all. As soon as it was out online people started responding. They told you that should be grateful for Calum. They said you were nothing but attention seeking. They laughed and said they knew you were a "meaningless fling" or "just a groupie that got to stay awhile".
By now, you wanted nothing more than to lash out. Practically fuming at the thought that you weren't grateful, that you didn't hear all those times he told you he cared about you. You wanted to scream at the idea that they thought you were ignoring all the times he had said he loved you. It wasn't exactly your fault you didn't know how to accept it. You didn't know if you could ever truly believe it. After all, your mind never stopped asking you how anyone could possibly care about someone like you.
"I love you, you know that?" Calum said from the doorway of your bedroom as you paced furiously.
You stopped and looked up as he made his way towards you
"Yeah..." you said softly as he gently pulled you towards him by the waist, "I just..." you trailed off.
He wrapped both arms around you and rubbed circles on your hip while you pressed your face against the crook of his neck.
"I know it's hard for you but I love you, I care about you, and I'll tell you everyday if you need me to," he said with a gentle certainty in his voice. You swallowed thickly and nodded.
You guess it'll be okay for now.
sorry it might not be very good i don’t know.
