Frosty

Frosty the Snowman is a name given to a particular ice elemental who is magically bound to a silk hat and spends most of the year in dormancy unless an individual (most often a human child) places the hat upon the head of a certain variety of snow sculpture. Fortunately, in spite of possessing considerable power over ice and snow, Frosty seems to be of a more benevolent nature in comparison to most of his kin, more than content to play with and entertain children in the winter time when the icy winds blow.
