someone should make a fursona with a large marking that can just be any frame of bad apple [but sort of blobby since it's a marking in fur]

Poll Title: Are you neurodivergent and are you neurodiverse as well?
(neurodivegent referring to a huge umbrella term of almost any diagnosable condition that can affect you mentally/psychologically)
(nd = short for neurodivegent)
(I.A.U - I Am Unsure (not an official acronym, just an acronym I made for the purpose of this poll being worded correctly and fitting character limit)
(otherwise ND - referring to "otherwise neurodivegent", any neurodivergent condition that is not neurodiverse)
(neurodiverse referring to ADHD and/or ASD/Autism)
Poll options:
I am neurodivegent, specifically neurodiverse (and nothing else)
I am neurodivegent, but not neurodiverse
I am neurodivegent, neurodiverse and otherwise ND
I.A.U of whether Im ND or not but I suspect I'm only neurodiverse
I.A.U of whether Im ND or not but I suspect Im ND but not neurodiverse
I.A.U of whether Im ND or not but I suspect Im both neurodiverse & otherwise ND
I am not neurodiverse nor otherwise neurodivegent
I'm really sorry if the wording is confusing and/or if the options don't fit in a poll format!! I was just curious about the statistics, and Mod H you can change some of the wording if you deem it too confusing(?)
Is self diagnosis applicable here? Up to you to decide!

saw these tags on a post about how not all autistic people hate small talk:
Tumblr media
how did we get to this point? how is it that a very basic part of the autism diagnostic criteria has been framed as being “a bad person”? by other autistic people no less! how is it that people think it’s appropriate to say that not liking small talk is “not the autism”? fuck that.
not being able to think about anything other than a special interest does not make you a bad person. not understanding small talk does not make you a bad person. needing help to remember social conventions does not make you a bad person. I hope you find people who will happily listen to your infodumps and who understand the way you communicate. I love you

shout out to physically disabled people who can't engage with the hobbies they like because of their disability. like fashion, food, gaming, etc. there's a lot of things that people mock: like wearing plain baggy clothing, being "picky" about food or demanding food intolerances to be taken seriously. about playing games on easy or not playing them at all and only watching a play-through. it's tough enough to be held back from engaging with things that you enjoy even without being mocked for the concessions you have to make. someone with absolutely no disability but makes the same choices, like playing games on easy or peaceful, also doesn't deserve mockery. i just feel like being mocked for something outside of your control is really bitter because it indirectly mocks you for being disabled.

Disability includes
People with:
Erectile dysfunction
Vaginismus
PCOS
Endometriosis
Any other reproductive, uterine, or related disorder
Substance abuse disorders/addiction
Facial deformities/differences
Inflammatory Bowel Diseases
Any other disorder/disease of the digestive system
By the definition of disabilities these are DISABILITIES. Start treating as such or get fucked.
Disclaimer: any BS in the replies or RBs will get you blocked or mocked.

The question you should be asking yourself isn't "is it normal?" but "is it hurting anyone?" Because if it isn't, we shouldn't care how normal it is. That's not the important part

actually, sure. this can be its own post
it’s probably been talked about before, but you guys have got to stop assuming that “men’s problems” and “women’s problems” are always the inverse of each other. “boys are dissuaded from having emotionally deep relationships” does not mean “girls are allowed to have any emotions they like”. western society as a whole is shit at coping with the concept of emotions, and that has different consequences for different people depending on their circumstances and identities
you have to ask yourself:
is the problem being discussed exclusive to one gendered experience?
does the discussion of the problem include how it’s different for POC, queer people, disabled people, etc etc?
is the problem better represented/explained by cultural factors other than gender?
what evidence are they using? is that evidence inclusive, or is it solely based on abled white dyadic cishet (etc) people?
gender-based issues do exist. but it’s a lot more complicated than women’s issues vs men’s issues, and you can never universally state that the way men are treated is the exact opposite of women and vice versa
