this is me, always in the dark, always searching for the light. 📸: my beautiful & talented wife how fitting to start this “reboot” with a portrait taken by my wife. it’s fitting because she’s renewed everything in me which i thought i’d lost in the fires of my past. she has shown me what it is to love again, only this time, she has shown me what true love really is and what it can be if i don’t allow the failures of my past to overshadow the beauty of what lies ahead of us. and i am so looking forward to our future together as she is the light clearing away the darkness i once found myself in. someone once told me they saw darkness in me & that was a lie. there wasn’t a darkness in me, i just lived in the darkness they brought me into so they could drown out the light in me, but they failed. i am a child of the light who’s lived in darkness for far too long; now my wife has taken me by the hand as we walk together towards where the light will be found… our hearts. thank you for your time & support. more to come: more photos & more poetry. #portraitnyc #pursuitofportraits #portraitvision #poetry #poet #moodygrams #photographer #photography (at New York, New York) https://www.instagram.com/p/CnevfcQOO-1/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
