I wasn’t big on X Japan before I watched ‘We Are X’, a that movie truly changed me and opened my eyes to a new (Technically they are from an older era but yeah haha) world!! The big hair, over the top outfits and fierce makeup, just that whole aesthetic drew me in like crazy! I spiraled into a drawing frenzy!

There was a point in time not long ago where I was frustrated, desperately searching for new source of inspiration. In this rut; I turned to the people I interacted with on a daily basis; the friends, the classmates, the mentors I spoke with, they had in their own special way...showed me new perspectives. Each person, so very unique and different from each other; the more I studied them the more I was interested in capturing their “essence” :)

They say art is the reflection of the artist that creates it, if so I'd admit to having a severe case of identity crisis and disorganization. Reflecting upon the early quarter of 2018: alot of painting attempts but unfinished, most of my questions still left unanswered. Some severe grey days, some geeky days, some 'what was I thinking days' etc. Also went from "Tora my bae" to "A9? Did you mean ONLY Shou?"
