headcanon that qrow and raven were partners at beacon not only because of raven’s semblance, but because they grew up in a bandit tribe with no reason to have landing strategies. so, after being launched of the cliff and a litany of curses later that made even ozpin consider if he had made a mistake, in panic raven decided to portal to qrow midair because hey, it’s gonna be a rough landing no matter what, but having qrow there to soften it can’t be worse, right?

qrow’s semblance disagreed.

there’s a reason why their first lesson was on landing strategies. and also probably why ozpin was like “birds. birds are a good choice for these two idiots”.

While other stressful stuff did happen today, I'm happy to say that It turns out it was indeed all a misunderstanding and My friends phone sucked and blocked me by accident.

I sent an ask to him(don't know if those go in if your blocked or not) so I guess I'll wait a bit before asking if others can message him(his Tumblr might not update him tho....)

My theory about "Sacrifice"

Who the singer is supposed to be is something I'm still kinda lost about(had a little idea it was Cinder but that would require some stuff to happen)

But I do have an idea about who the song is about.

We all assume she's singing to Ozpin, but what if she's not? Cause I had the idea she's singing about James

It was an idea born because of the whole theme of "I'm not your sacrifice!" And how 'Willing to throw people under the bus and act like it's you making a sacrifice' is a theme with James in Volume 7.

Can't fit alot of the lyrics into this theory, Wich are likely some weird symbolism either way. But the ones I can....

"Did the things you thought you should, all the things they said were....good. All your faith in ancient ways, leaves you trapped in a maze"

Part of James issue is that he's largely a product of Atlas culture, from its sense of Pride above the other kingdoms being reflected in how he's convinced he knows what's best and ultimately considers Atlas city more important then the rest of remnant. And he largely adopts Mantles mindset of emotional repression from the great war implemanting it in the military, and both that and his sense of 'I know what's best' screw him over hard.

"Pierce the sky escape your fate, more you'll try the more you'll just breed...Hate, and lies"

Is supposed to be mocking James for his plan in volume 7, trying to escape Salem by lifting Atlas further into the Skies, and how his plan only ends up causing conflict and was doomed for Failure anyway.

"What if all the plans you made, were not worth the price they paid? Even with the lives you stole, still no closer to your...goal"

Again, about James issue with making others pay the price for the sake of his plans and acting like It's his Sacrifice to make. With this line being about how his methods to achieve his plans weren't merely amoral, but they were not actually helping him to defeat Salem. Leaving all his 'Sacrifices' meaningless.

Okay, listen, I'm gonna say it

I'm a teenager, and even when I'm legally an adult in a few months I'll still have my whole senior year to go through

I am in danger, as long as trump is in office. Children across the country are in danger as long as he's in office. Thousands of people have already died thanks to him and he's already on the verge of bypassing the Democratic process, his men are killing the kids in those ICE camps

Voting for the lesser evil isn't 'settling' for the lesser evil, it's making sure the greater evil dosent get to do the things he'll do if he wins. You can still criticize Biden! And his cop sidekick! It's called making progress, it's called making the problem less bad as time goes on!

Saying it dosent matter who wins is saying me and children dying all across the country don't matter cause they apparently don't make a big enough difference. For the love of God, Our lives are on the line, vote dammit

RWBY is my main 'Fixation' but aside from that...
