🌊 Our fin-tastic volunteers at the Monterey Bay Aquarium have been making waves since before our doors even opened in 1984, cumulatively giving over 4.5 million hours of their time! From sea otter rescues to keeping our exhibits sparkling— underwater, no less—they've truly buoyed our spirits and kept us afloat for 40 years. Thank you, volunteers, for your tireless dedication to inspiring conservation of the ocean! 🐠💙🦦🫂
when the objectively bad person has traumatic and honestly reasonable reasons for why theyre like that but it doesnt excuse their actions and only serves to make them more tragic as a character
FYI if this account *EVER* turns on tips, asks for donations, links to a Kofi, cashapp etc. it has been hacked.
I obviously have nothing against any blogs which have a tip jar of their own. Most blogs have actual unique content on them or at least are someones personal account. This blog isnt a personal account however. It belongs to the community. I just run this blog and try to keep posts quality and have fun as often as I can.
This blog isn't about making money or gaining some sort of personal benefit for myself. Nothing here besides my shitty jokes is original content.
I don't want any money or "exposure" for running this account and I certainly don't want to even entertain the idea that I'm somehow personally benefiting from posting other's art.
This is a totally monetization free blog. None of the art posted here belongs to me. Monetization of others art is unethical and frankly I find it disgusting to even consider the very idea. If someone is posting old vintage art from the 40s or whatever, thats a bit different, but pretty much all living TES artists are still active and working to this day.
I can't imagine the shame I would feel if I tried making a profit off of a living artist's work.
TES artists are criminally under credited and I would sooner shoot myself into the sun than to have some artist from TES come across their work posted here and see a big fat "DONATE/TIP" button right next to my account name. As if I deserve money for posting *their* art.
This is just a general post. Nothing in particular promoted this, but I just want to put this out there for posterity in case anyone ever asks about it.
Ok what the hell is a “flocking paleostream?” Google isn’t helping and I keep seeing it everywhere. It feels like code for something and I’m out of the loop
i genuinely hope that boop day inspires everyone to interact more with other tumblr users. because it’s clearly way more fun this way!! even once the boop button is gone, there’s still asks, tag and ask games, comments, dms, fuck it let’s bring back blog rates i don’t care. part of the reason that tumblr is dying is that its way less social than it used to be. let’s fix that!!
hi everyone!
one of my most dearest childhood best friends @mxlinoe let me know last night that their cat has a potentially fatal infection that is incurable without a specific medication that they cant currently fully afford. the first dosage is around $550, and i wanted to signal boost their situation.
if anyone can help at all to donate for them and their partner to be able to afford the medication, please send anything via paypal to @hunkmunkulous or rb this post for a signal boost - they're accepting commissions on their art instagram, @__mxlinoe for $15 to draw a bust of you, family/friend, favorite character, OC, or DND character 🩵
A.I. photos are flooding social media and contributing to an Internet where we can't believe what we see. Spotting A.I. 📷s is an important media literacy skill.
None of us have time to research every image we see. We just need people to notice BEFORE THEY LIKE OR SHARE that an image might be fake. If unsure, check it or don't share.
I've started drawing some comics explaining the basic of AI spot-checking and media literacy in the age of disinformation. Follow along here or on my Twitter.
